Wonderful ambience, and amazing options for vegan food 🍲

Food is always great and service is great too.

I experienced racist behaviour by one of the staff. While I entered the place and was looking to reserve a table for later, 4 white guys thought I am jumping the queue and started having an argument with me. Meanwhile a guy from Wagamama came from inside and when I asked him to book me a table for later. To my shock he refused me the table stating that He would not allow me inside since I had argument with 4 white guys. He without trying to understand what happened literally refused me a table and All of them bullied me in front of my son, wife and mother in law. I had no option but to file official complaint with police. Police later on let the manager off with a warning. Please beware of racist staff at this place.

Food was lovely and the staff really helpful and friendly

I recently attended this establishment and was celebrating a dear friends birthday I was shocked and horrified when the staff refused to bring out a pre purchased cake do not recommend celebrating a birthday here

The Black African Lady serving was a delight. She made wonderful suggestions and was very friendly.

Everything was great apart from the fact that they charged me £5 for water which ruined it for me

Really great friendly service, attentive and helpful. Great choice on the menu and fast served, didn’t have to wait too long for any item we chose, and not seated in a busy loud area of the restaurant thankfully! Really tasty food and easy paying experience, clean tables and whole place in general!

Food was great and so was the service apart from the fact that you can't get tap water for the table? Be really useful to have a bottle of water like other places normally do

I ate here a couple of weeks ago with some friends, and I just wanted to write a review to say how amazing the girl who served me was! I have coeliac disease, which must be treated as an allergy. When I told the waitress, she immediately got me a separate menu and explained that her supervisor/manager would be over to take my order and deal with me specifically. I've eaten at Wagamamas before, so I did expect this, however the girl was just so kind and really put me at ease. It is so hard eating out with allergies sometimes due to the anxiety of it, but she left me feeling confident I had nothing to worry about. If she reads this, she had blonde hair and glasses, you are a gem!! Food was tasty and atmosphere is casual and cosy. Thank you!

Love wagamama definitely recommend. Workers are really nice, it's always busy so you know how crazy it can get. Vegan options are always amazing. Got the vegan hot dogs, cauliflower and vegan ribs. Firecracker tofu (really spicy but delicious)

Very crowded but nice atmosphere. Food is great, especially the noodles. First choice here for my Asian fix in the city.

Never coming here again and would never recommend . Staff not even respectful and look like they do not want to be here . Not even welcoming . We asked for water did not even give it . Sorry never again

Really bland ramen like hot water and noodles really annoying spending that much on not nice food

Very slow service, it was quiet and we were waiting to order for a long time. Food came before drinks as the drinks took over 15 minutes, for two iced teas. The second main was eventually brought over by another server, as our server had been talking to the table behind us for over 10 minutes, whilst the food was waiting at the pass. No 'thank you', 'goodbye' or 'how is everything?' from our server. Really poor service. The food was nice, but it seems to get more and more expensive and portions seem to be getting smaller. £7.50 for three prawns is ridiculous.

Fist time going there ,atmosphere was good with choice outside or in . Good selection choice of food & beverage, recommended. Staff very nice, attentive too I had a rocky table but still had a lovely evening. Thank you 😊

I have enjoyed food at most of the London Wagamamas, so todays experience was surprising. Chilli chicken ramen was disappointing as the broth tasted like tomato water with chilli. Duck gyoza was good. Chicken & prawn pad thai was ok. Best dish was the beef hirata buns.

Can’t believe I got the best wagamama in town, you mush try their duck gyoza thats the best duck I’ve ever tried. The duck is so tender and yummi. I kept dreaming about it.

Good food, wouldn’t recommend the Vegatsu; fairly dry all round and no veg alongside it apart from salad. The waiter forgot my order, so I was sitting around waiting for 30/40 mins until I realised the waiter hasn’t put it through. We did have an accident with one of the glasses and the staff were very kind to have dealt with it quickly and efficiently! Overall positive experience. Would recommend the squid balls, and the veggie bao buns!

I don’t normally bother writing reviews but this Wagas deserves some recognition! The lovely Rach was our waitress, she was sweet and kind, making us feel very welcome on Saturday lunchtime. My mum is gluten free and she was given a menu with lots of choices, the manager came and took the order, this made us feel reassured that everything would be GF- she even said the head chef would cook the GF meal! Brilliant allergy/ intolerance awareness and service without being treated as a hassle. Great work Wagamama New St

I went to this wagamama on Tuesday and ordered chicken and it came looking a bit pink and when I told the waiter about it they took it back to the cook and came back and said it’s thoroughly cooked it just was more pink and closer to the thigh. They assured me it would be fine to eat but asked if I wanted another but since they assured it wasn’t undercooked I ate it anyways. I got terrible food poisoning and it couldn’t have been from anything else since that’s the only thing my boyfriend didn’t eat and he wasn’t sick, I’ve been still in recovery from food poisoning and very ill so there must’ve been something wrong with the chicken. My boyfriend’s food which was chicken ramen was fine but beware if the chicken looks pink.

Equally as flavourless as any other Wagamama. I miss how good they used to be. Now it's just bland food.

My wife and I normally avoid all chain restaurants because of the factory prepared food. However, last we found ourselves in Birmingham for the night and struggled to find somewhere independent. As a last resort we decided to go the Wagamama. To our great surprise the food and service were first class. My wife had the Chicken Katsu Curry and I had the Spicy Chicken Ramen. Both dishes were full of taste and flavour and the accompanaying service was first class. This was a real eye opener to us. Well done to all the team.

Best Wagamama I’ve ever been to. Beautiful interior design, and banging food. The chicken ramen was the best one I’ve had. Luke the manager is a superstar and gave us the VIP treatment.

I loved my vegan brunch sandwich.

It’s Wagamama… you know what you will be getting. Modern Japanese (UK style) food. Zero halal options. But good vegetarian/vegan and fish. Food comes WHEN IT IS READY. Everyone sits on bench style tables, so you can be brushing shoulders when it’s busy.

Food was as expected from wagamamas, however the service wasn’t amazing, our chicken gyozas were mistaken for pork ones so we only actually got them once everyone had finished their food which was fine, mistakes happen. then we ask them to put it in a takeaway box and order desert. they bring it out on a plate. out of the 5 deserts we ordered only 4 arrived. we waited roughly 30 minutes for the last one to arrive and had to ask the waitress repeatedly about it to which she always responded with “i’ll see where it’s at” with no apology. by the time my desert had arrived, my party had paid and were more than ready to leave. the staff didn’t seem too bothered about it either, which added more frustration. quite disappointing

I had the Shy's Shiosk Chicken with the brown rice option and the Miso caramel ice-cream. Both were delicious and it was great to have a late lunch. The menu is always very interesting with some unusual vegan & vegetarian options. I opted for the green tea option this time and look forward to one of the sour cocktails next time

Wagamama is a beautiful place to eat. You can sit down and watch your food being made. Wagamama is a fast paced environment where the staff are rushing around delivering food to everyone. Wagamama have a little outdoor area where you can sit outside and eat your food. The food was delicious and stunning.

Thanks to Charlie, who came and explained thoroughly the allergen process to put us at ease with a peanut allergy. Friendly service from all which was lovely and surprising for a busy Saturday lunchtime. All food ordered was totally scrummy and enjoyed by all. Raman, Katsu curry, squid, pork dumplings and duck noodles.

I usually really enjoy wagamamas but some of the new items werent upto scratch - think I need to stick with what I know! I actually really enjoyed the matcha iced latte, I was expecting more of the strawberry (based on the photo). I definitely wouldn't recommend the sashimi salmon - I was expecting it to by like what you get at a sushi restaurant however seemed to have been previously cooked, was freezing cold (it actually hurt my teeth because of how cold it was) and hardly any flavour. However my family always enjoys the duck gyoza (please can a vegetarian version be released!!) and the wok stir fried greens is always a must.

Went here before going to the theatre recently. Lively atmosphere lovely modern restaurant. Food was delicious, I like that you can watch the food being cooked. The food is reasonably priced. I didn't see if there is a disabled upstairs in the restaurant if there isn't then a person in a wheelchair or have a disability may not be able to use the toilet. For the food & the atmosphere I would recommend

I wish it was a bit lighter in the place, it always makes me drowsy when the lighting is dimmed. The food prices have really increased recently, which is quite disappointing since though the food is nice, it really doesn't need to be at the price it is. Service was quick. Also, I remember the fruit juices before - they used to be double the size they are now.

Myself and brother attend the Wolverhampton branch often and always order the same thing. He orders vegan and I order a chicken or prawn dish. We share vegan starters like the ribs and mushrooms. We’ve never had an issue until visiting the New St branch and we’ve both be left with upset stomachs and on the verge of food poisoning. I’m incredibly disappointed but I suppose these things happen. It’s just an FYI for regular attendees..

Would’ve been better off getting gyoza from the store and cooking them myself. Just sad.

First time visiting this chain, was lovely, will go again. The Sakura gin and tonic was fab

I’ve visited quite a few times and always had a good experience, the food is usually lovely and the staff are great but for some reason when I came last night that was not the case. First, there were a few things on the menu that I tried to order but they were unavailable. Second, I ordered a cocktail which was supposed to have rum in it but when I couldn’t taste any whatsoever I politely pointed it out to my waitress, she was really lovely and spoke to the bar staff but I could see from my table that they were not happy in the slightest and actually got quite irritated by the fact that I’d said I couldn’t taste the alcohol and the bartender actually marched over to me to tell me she had put the alcohol in. Finally, my food took absolutely ages to come out, my husband got his fairly quickly but I think I was waiting around 20 minutes just for my starter and then my main took about 10 more minutes after that but it wasn’t super packed in the restaurant, there were quite a few empty seats. But when I did finally receive my food, it was delicious as always. My server was Amira and she was super sweet, she couldn’t apologise enough for the few things that went wrong despite none of it being her fault.

Everything as one would expect. Good tasty Good reliable service. Reasonably priced. Calm and pleasant environment. Would return.

The food was SO GOOD! So many vegetarian options and all of them were super tasty. I got a veggy korean corndog and a veggy ramen with silken tofu which tasted amazing. Highly recommended

Love this place, staff always absolutely brilliant ! Sometimes though it's a bit noisy, I think the music could be lower so people don't have to shout over eachother.

My very best go-to restaurant, I just loved everything about Wagamama, never go wrong.

No matter what wagamama i go to, they are all great, great food and great staff. Recently went to Birmingham and it was brilliant, same level service and staff as id expect from any Wagamama, great food and for vegetarians and vegan its brilliant, they have really good allergy Friendly menus for those who allergens and the staff are always making sure that you are safe.

Tasty thai food here. Great buzz in the venue itself. Unfortunately my friends mains was served and she was almost finished before mine came out. My meal was tasty and consideration was given to any allergies/intolerances which was good. Staff were attentive and super busy.

Great service, prawn nori was a bit of a let down as couldn’t bite through the seaweed wrapper, seemed a little stale. But didn’t dampen the experience. Think our server was Ingus, he was fab. Many thanks

Shocking service from waitress who gave away our booth table to others who came after us. When we questioned this, she had a face like a slapped bottom, was surly so much so she ended up throwing plates and food over the seats when trying to clear another table for us. No apology was forthcoming, and the other waiters, understandably, didn't want to get involved, but it left us less than impressed and no offer to speak to a manager. The waitress who took over to serve us was, however pleasant, although there was no checking about allergies. The food was good though, but it was a shame as it was a celebratory meal.

4th time in various towns great food which ever you choose to visit

It's a wagamammas.....you know what you're getting, and this is one is no different. Good food, reasonable price....all good. Great location.

I waited in the queue for a few minutes and was approached by a female member of staff who summoned us to follow, absolutely no greeting, no eye contact, no nothing. Taken to a table where she mumbled something, hurriedly scribbled on the paper on the table and walked off. This wasn't just inattentive service, it was downright actively hostile. We were so upset by this we just walked out. I have never encountered such poor behaviour from staff in wagamamas in the many times i have visited in the past. The usual approach from your employees is friendly, helpful and efficient. This staff member is a total let down to your brand and reputation.

We shared a delicious meal. Reasonably noisy. They have a new broth it was slightly spicy but delicious.

I’ve been to many different Wagamama restaurants in the past few years but I’ve never had such a fantastic service as in this one. The staff members, especially Lasa had been very attentive and made sure we had the best experience in the restaurant :) Thank you ❤️

Another wagamamma visited, another enjoyable evening. Plenty of drinks, although we had been out early on enjoying the city's bars, I actually forgot to write what we had as a group. So it's off my memory, Staff were pleasent. Food was quick and hot. Some of the items I remember, was shushock chicken, and chicken and prawn pad Thai. And my favourite we always get, bang bang cauliflower. There was other items, just don't remember the name to be fair. But yeah once again, nice food nice atmosphere. Bang on......!

Standard Wagamamas. It was the first time we had tried the hotpot dishes. They taste delicious overall however the rice cakes that comprise the carb portion of the dish were not to our taste, actually quite unpleasant to eat.

This was my first proper time at wagamamas, the food was delicious, everything came out in good time. A nice range of plant based options. The drinks where refreshing. Staff were wonderful, so friendly and checked in regularly. My visit was really lovely.

Tatanmen beef brisket- very tasty, quite rich in flavour, maybe a tad too big on portion size but well presented. Chicken Katsu curry - very tasty as usual, great choice of dish for most people. Ebi Katsu butterfly prawns - very tasty, chilli sauce could have been a little spicier but went well with the prawns Atmosphere was good, a little noisy but not unpleasant. Service was good from server - Aidrianne, very friendly. Food arrived quite quickly, faster than expected.

Service was ok but food wasn’t nice this time chicken ramen was tasteless no flavour at all and duck gyoza have no flavour squid was nice . Need to improve wasn’t busy aswell

Very poor quality food, expensive. The meal came with very little sauce and everything was assembled in a rush. I wouldn't recommend a takeaway at all.

Service was really good but i got food poisoning

The food was excellent! I didn’t enjoy my gyoza very much as parts of the dough tasted undercooked. However, let me tell you about the firecracker chicken that I had. It was simply amazing. The cocktail was good too and paired nicely with that very spicy meal. My friend had the shushiok chicken and absolutely loved the burst of flavours. Thanks to the lovely young lady who attended to us (Louise, I believe).

Beef Hotpot for the win, ask for it spicy on a cold day and it'll warm your cockles. Washed down with an Ashiai, can't go wrong.

I thought the food was lovely, both me and partner enjoyed it! But I do feel like it wasn't a comfortable environment, felt like some of the staff were a little passive aggressive and defensive a little bit which made us feel uneasy to be there for the rest of the evening. I get we turned up near the end of a shift and ate but all guests should be treated nicely so overall I'd say dissapoonting, which is sad because we had a long day traveling and then ended the night like this.

I had never been before but had an enjoyable experience. My friend and I ordered together but her food was completely missed. After talking to the staff, they sorted it with the kitchen and she got her food. They did give a discount for the mix-up. It was extremely busy, and it felt rushed.

Visited this restaurant on 16/12/23 and the meal and the presentation and location was absolutely fantastic the staff were all very helpful and friendly and best of all happy The food arrived very promptly and everything was piping hot and well presented We will definitely be returning here for another sitting 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍

Food was okay, but the ramen had too many noodles and was heavy. The mint tea didn’t have any taste at all.

The staff are super friendly even though it was really busy (4pm on a Saturday) they kept us updated on table times as we waited. When seated the service was fast and delicious. Staff checked on us regularly. Would definitely recommend.
