Lovely food but terrible customer service. Very gluten free friendly menu but the staff made me feel as though I was a huge inconvenience for having coeliac disease. The lady serving us was incredibly rude, when we were trying to figure out where an extra £6 on our bill had come from she gave us no help and told us to just split it. And although we had booked a table we were completely ignored by the staff. So all 9 of us were stood around feeling like we were in the way for far too long considering we’d booked in. Just overall really rude staff, don’t think I’ll be coming back. Which is a shame because the food was lush.

My friend and I visited on the evening of Thursday 15th March. When we arrived the restaurant was quite busy, but we could see people finishing and tables were clearing so we didn’t mind standing to wait for a table to become free. We continued waiting, and watched as more and more people left the restaurant. The queue of people at the door was increasing, however no one had been seated or spoken to. After around 30 minutes of waiting, with more tables becoming available, one of the waitresses told us we would be able to be seated in around 10 minutes and that they were “just cleaning up”. We continued waiting, and the restaurant was almost empty at this point (see photo). We did however notice an influx of food delivery drivers entering and leaving the restaurant with food for the duration of the time we were there. At this point it had been around an hour of waiting, and we were getting completely ignored by the wait staff, no one in the queue of people at the door had been seated at all. My friend eventually went over to the waitress who had ignored everyone’s presence completely and asked what was going on. She told my friend that the kitchen was unable to cater for people eating in the restaurant due to online food orders and that they wouldn’t be able to serve us. It would have been nice to have been told this sooner, but instead the staff just ignored the large crowd of people aimlessly standing at the entrance of the empty restaurant. I actually cannot believe this happened and we were treated appallingly. The waitress even laughed at my friends face when he told her how long we had been waiting. Shame on us really for hanging around for so long. We left without eating or even being seated. I won’t be visiting again.

Ate here with a group of friends yesterday, Highly unprofessional duty manager - Andrew who was appallingly rude and disrespectful - the wrong person chosen for a leadership position at this company- he it setting a negative culture for customer service - I ordered the firecracker with tofu and was wrongly served prawns firecracker - imagine if I had an allergy to seafood or if I was a vegetarian , litigation waiting to happen, my meal was the last to come and I swiftly provided feedback to the server that I ordered tofu however my group of friends food had arrived prior to mine which was late and I no longer wanted to wait for another meal to be prepared so I politely accepted it however when it came to making the payment ,I clarified that I will only pay for the tofu firecracker and the staff became rude and dismissive- Instead of apologising and taking accountability for your actions your going to dismiss and play games with the customer that you accepted the meal , yes I did but you were is the wrong - the manager Andrew was the primary person instigating this behaviour and attempting to make me feel uncomfortable for a mistake his staff made which is absurd - he was ignoring my presence and telling the staff to ignore me, unbelievable- the management of this organisation need to know the culture of customer service he is creating in this franchise , he needs a performance review and further training in customer service-his manager would be better off terminating him! Disgusting food and service ! Don’t recommend!

I was sat at a table. Then ignored for 20 minutes and when the server came back I told her that I thought it was a disgrace and totally unacceptable. I left without dinning. Do both!!!!!

we stood for ages waiting to be seated when visibly the shop was not busy at all, multiple tables free. when we were finally seated we were left for a while with little conversation. someone came over to take our order and was extremely rude the whole time, half shouting “who’s next” at our small table of 4 when we were ordering our food. After a long wait (normal for wagamamas, this is my favourite restaurant so i understand) our food had all come out, and our drinks were sitting on the side waiting for around 10 minutes, we sat and watched all the ice melt. eventually after watching multiple servers walk past our drinks to clear tables etc, i walked over to the bar and asked if i could collect my drinks myself, to which the bartender was super sweet and bought them over for us. Overall really gutted, my first time in wagas in cambridge and i will not be coming back to this one.

The service was very poor I have an allergy and I was told that a manager would have to take my food order which I appreciate. However I had to ask 2 times before they bothered to take my order which ended up being 20 minutes after everyone else ordered, and the rest of my parties food had already come out. Our drinks came out after our food, and the staff when I asked for more katsu curry sauce for my friend, brought out the wrong sauce however spoke down to me when I said, 'I'm really sorry but could we get katsu curry sauce rather than this'. A few of the staff members on the floor was rude to me and my friends aswell.

We ordered a main and a starter each We ordered… - Buns - Squid - Katsu Curry - Raman All meals were really nice However, the curry was cold I sent it back and the staff were very apologetic and replaced it with a new dish which was hot. The squid was amazing! Cannot go wrong The Raman, my friend asked for it not to be spicy due to health and it was very spice for him so he couldn’t eat it But what we could eat, he said it was the best meal! The Buns were great but took 30mim plus for them to come to the table. My friend has finished his main by the time the buns had come out. I would highly recommend going if you need a place to each with friends

We arrived as a group of 4 and had 2 friends join us later. From start to finish it was an absolute disappointment The whole restaurant seems to be run without any organisation or process. We were consistently offered the wrong meals throughout an hour long wait for food to actually arrive. It was as though no one had any direction as to which table had ordered. Our two friends that arrived after us were served before us. My starter arrived as i as about to leave. What was worse was the quality of the food that arrived. The chicken yakitori was tepid and my main chicken dish.”was undercooked and so I left most of it and just ate the rice. One of friends it was his first visit to this chain and he was underwhelmed to say the least as were we all! Subsequently I became very unwell over the new year which I strongly suspect was from this meal and undercooked lukewarm food. It was the only meal different to my partner for several weeks. I would hope that whoever monitors these posts seriously scrutinises this restaurant because it is not the same level of service and quality at other Wagamama restaurants!

Not much to say cold food terrible service staff like zombies walking around no interested in the customers . Wagamama is one of our favourites we got a restaurant gift card for Christmas and we have been to most of them all over so we thought we’d drive up to Cambridge for a change of scenery and what an unpleasant visit , sent a cold dish back for them to reheat the same order and give it back to us , small mains portions wondered why this wagamama was so quiet on nye but now I know why never again when paying the bill mentioned the terrible serivce and food to the guy who said oh really 🤣

It was my first time trying Wagamamas and it was really good. Went with a large group for a birthday meal. They were short staffed and having technical difficulties but despite it all, service from Carlos was excellent. Food arrived promptly upon ordering we enjoyed it.

Went for dinner with some friends and we were welcomed by Liam who made the entire experience something special and definitely worth coming back in the future, food was delicious and the service spot on, will definitely come back. Special thanks to Liam he’s definitely born for hospitality.

Had a good dinner with friends at Wagamama. The food was tasty and the service quick and efficient. Liam was specially helpful and he made our night with his friendly personality. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place for a nice dinner out with friends.

Very disappointed with the food , wouldn’t go back there to eat again for sure . The pub only had 3-4 tables in and only 2 of us been eating yet took ages to get our food . Another couple sit down next to us 15 min later at least they got their food before us . We only ordered steak and chips … ordered two cocktails which took ages to come out … we got the second drinks already by the time we got our main course out while the other table who has set down lot later than us had finished their meal already ! When we got our main we had to ask where is our starter ? They didn’t even ask if we still want it or apologies for forget about it and on delay our food . Food quality was very poor and everything on my plate was cold too . The worst steak I had . Working in hospitality myself …. This was a very poor service and very poor on food . If would have been busy I understand but when u have a very few customers in there shouldn’t be such a mistakes . ( maybe the Chefs shouldn’t be keep spending their time outside keep smoking and chatting would help on improvement )

Ordered a meal deal, 2 pizzas, 2 sides. There were some issues initially with the order and they called to offer alternatives. Food arrived and there had been a mix up but they were again quick to rectify it and get the right order delivered. Food was excellent and overall cant argue with the service. Thanks guys!

4 or 5 people milling around behind the counter. Quietest guy ever takes my offer, I can hardly hear him ask me questions. Order medium matcha tea with tapioca pearls, tasted lovely and can't fault it. However I didnt hear my order being called so a woman yelled "MATCHA" at me which seemed excessive. And after a bad experience of trying to pierce bubble tea and it exploding everywhere on me I always ask places to pierce it for me before I go. I got stared at like I had two heads and they were really awkward like "I cant touch your straw". Lovely bubble tea but awful customer experience. Wish I'd gone to the place down the street.

I ordered a simple flat white. Not only was it a bad flat white with weird coffee grounds on the bottom but the waitress spilled half of it and just said oops here's a new saucer. Terrible service.
