Wafflemeister in Wiltshire

Popped in to get takeaway ice cream on a hot sunny afternoon. Meanest stingiest portion ever for the price Will go elsewhere next time

My partner and I enjoyed one sweet strawberry and cream waffle and one savoury salmon waffle. Both were quite good and of decent size! The only thing that could be a bit nicer, was the seating area upstairs, which seemed a bit bare, unfinished and empty. So not very cozy or decorated. Apart from that, it was okay!

The food is delicious, the staff are kind, not to expensive, and a warm, cosy environment. It’s always my first choice. I seriously recommend going there.

#Fail. Arrived yesterday evening with two very excited children for a Christmas treat after checking on the website that they closed at 6pm. When we tried to get served we were told they were closing early because "it was dead in here after 4.30pm, so we have to close early at 5,.30pm" I pointed out that it was only 5,.24pm and they we wanted three simple tale away waffles, but they weren't interested. I then heard from a friend that the same thing happened to her recently with 6 kids in tow for a party. Not sure if this is company policy or a local decision, but if the store cannot be bothered to stay open for kids tea-times they might as well vacate and the space can be taken up by an independent who does want the business. Top tip; walk straight past to Boston Tea Party a few doors down and grab a Chocolate Brownie for dessert instead; always happy to serve you and great with kids.

After having a rubbish meal elsewhere we decided to have dessert somewhere else. Lovely choice of waffles. Lovely coffee and shakes. Friendly service and helpful. Not overpriced. Definitely return here.

Tasty but seemed pricey for what it was (spent over £30 which felt like a lot compared to what a round of ice creams would have cost as a similar treat)

You would think that in a tourist trap like Salisbury, finding a seat for a light lunch would be easy. I tried 4 different place before I found somewhere that had an outside table available. This was at Wafflemeister, and in fact there were two or three empty tables set out in the pedestrian precinct. One might imagine that's a sign of not being very good, but that's not the case They have an interesting array of sweet and savoury waffles and crepes on offer, and the usual offering of hot and cold drinks. The young staff work very hard and are very pleasant and cheery. That always helps if the wait is a little long. My only reservation is that a Frenchman probably wouldn't call this a crepe. Not thin enough and rather stagy. More akin to a pancake. But ample tasty filling and as much as I could manage. I guess it's sort of fast food, but well worth pausing to try it.

Came across this little place, having craved a waffle all weekend! They didn't disappoint at all. Absolutely delicious. Friendly helpful staff. Clean. Highly recommend a visit.

Got a delivery and it was absolutely fantastic! Delicious and well worth the price. Fresh fruit, Warm waffles, well presented! Will definitely be ordering again.

i asked to plug in my phone and they insisted i needed to consume something. I was neither hungry or thirsty having had a coffee about an hour before at a different cafe so i asked a woman listening to a street musician on the street outside if she wanted a coffee so i could charge my phone. I used to own and run a cafe in the states and as i was waiting for the coffee i mentioned to the staff that their MUST-consume attitude was bad business practice. I would be much more likely to recommend the cafe if they had been polite and friendly and helpful instead of cold and mean. the waitress shrugged and said speak to the boss. I greeted him warmly and mentioned my experience and he looked at me like i was an undesirable beggar and told me "I doubt you would come back anyhow!" He was annoyed that i had drunk a coffee somewhere else then asked for his electricy. He said charging my phone cost him money. I looked it up - to charge an ipone for 20 minutes in UK costs less that 0.2 penny! You could fully charge it 4 times for 1p!!!! I was polite and positive and cheerful throughout the chat and they told me business is going badly! i am not surprised with that kind of attitude. There was a highly skilled street musician playing jazz on a bench not far from their terrace who was obviously popular with their customers but they turned up their canned non-descript pop music to drown him out. Not friendly people. i would go so far to say that they came across as mean spirited which is especially not good if your business is struggling!

Visited today. Was really good. Only a small place, there is seating upstairs but unsure how many it seats. We had a few hot chocolates that were good, but hotter would have made them perfect. One waffle which was great, but like donut and a crepe which was spot on. Used to have sprinkles around the corner this place is way better.

Really delicious waffles and crêpes. The kids absolutely love it at wafflemeister. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Really indulgent and definitely worth a visit for those with a sweet tooth! Loved the choice available and not too expensive.

Brought my daughter to wafflemister for her birthday treat. She likes a crepe, so we looked at the board, picked and went to order to be told that half the menu was not on offer, including the crepe she wanted. We had booked a table and this was not mentioned at all. Every time we have been something is not on offer, often the savoury options. Why is it such a problem? Very disappointing visit for my daughter for her birthday. Will we be back? probably but will manage our expectations that we will have to re pick.
