Stop serving food at 8.....why not make that clear online. Not hard to do. And yes Google does allow you to list open times and kitchen time separately. Really good to see you argue with customers that leave a bad review. Very professional. Even funnier that you are wrong.

Popped into this pub today to meet up with my parents. What a friendly welcome we all received. The weekday lunchtime roast for £9 was an absolute bargain! The veggie option was great. We'll meet up here again!

Internet says open, sign outside pub says food served from 12 until late. Arrive at 7.40pm to be told the kitchen is shut. Update your signs In response to your message back to the review: The sign outside the pub said "food served from 12 until late" this refers to the kitchen being open and serving food within the pub. It specifically said "food" not "pub". It said on Mon and Tues there was drinks only but that Weds there was food from 12 until late. Today is Weds. This does not suggest it is pub opening times as it specifically says "food". I have not misread the sign, rather you have not written your sign with the correct information.

If you like Roast Lunch time you need to try that one 😍😍😍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. But on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s they have special price to Roast only £ 9 💝💝💝 . All food looks delicious and I saw around me others customers was very happy with their choices. I am completely in love with everything about them.

What a find!! The landlady was lovely, the beer was lovely, the food was excellent!! The whole experience was very positive and the mid-week roast was historic!!! SO much meat, well cooked and plentiful. Truly, a little piece of Yorkshire!!

Lovely pub, great food. A lot of food, so much so, we didn't have room for a dessert. Very reasonable prices. The 2 ladies were really welcoming and friendly. This was our 2nd meal in the pub, we went in April when we were staying at Longlet Caravan Park. The only thing I didn't see was a disabled toilet. We would have stayed longer, but the stairs were too much to climb. Definitely recommend 👌 this pub

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch here, fabulous food and excellent customer service, couldn't fault it. The staff worked very hard to make sure everyone was happy. We will be returning!

Such a warm, friendly and accommodating pub and staff! Saved the day for my husband's surprise birthday meal, as we were let down last minute elsewhere. The Adele the owner and her staff Louisa and libby where so friendly and accommodating. They catered for 9 of us , plus 2 dogs at very short notice. Nothing too much trouble. The Sunday roast was the best I have ever had , absolutely perfect and a really good plate full. The home made yorkshire pudding worth returning for alone. We will returning on a monthly basis, to meet with our far spread children and grandchildren. Would 100% recommend this establishment to everyone.

as a group we meet once a month for lunch, most of us enjoy the steak and ale pie, and this time it was superb!! fantastic pastry full of succulent beef, yes the roasts are good as well! and for the price you will not match it anywhere!!

An absolute gem of a place! Dropped in with friends midweek on the way home from a gig in Cardiff, and was served the most magnificent roast dinner! Huge portion of deliciousness and ridiculously good value plus amazing service from all the staff! We will be back!!

Visited The White Hart today for their midweek roast, excellent meal and first class service.

Stayed at longleat caravan park for Easter and called in on spec to see if they had space for 6 of us to eat. We were made very welcome. Food was amazing, fantastic value for money. Would highly recommend and will be back before our trip back home.

Best pub in the area by a mile, food is always perfect, great selection of drinks, amazing service and great atmosphere.

A great English country style pub, with excellent food and friendly staff. They were very accomodating and welcomed a booking of 25 people with only 24 hours notice! Very grateful to have been able to have our family function here and will definitely be coming back. The roast dinners were incredible and there was plenty to eat, no one went home hungry. Highly recommended for any occasion, we're even planning to return on Christmas day for lunch.

Absolutely love this place. The fireplace, the antlers, the friendliness, the amazing food. Had the new veggie roast today which was the gigantic yorkie wrap with brie, mushrooms and cranberry, it was FANTASTIC. It also doesn't cost an absolute arm and a leg like similar places around the area. Love love love. Also, they don't include optional service charge, so don't forget to tip to support their amazing work!

We ordered ham, egg and chips and a Yorkshire pudding wrap. I must have had at least 4 big slices of gammon ham, it was so much I couldn't finish it. Hubby had the wrap with pork, stuffing loads of veg plus roast potatoes and gravy. Huge portions and very reasonable priced. Highly recommend . Friendly barmaid.

Stopped by chance for lunch on our way to Longleat after having an unpleasant experience at the pub just down the road. Ordered two midweek roasts and they were absolutely superb and great value for money. Great friendly staff, would definitely return.

Best pub food I have ever had. We got 2 Yorkshire pudding wraps, and they were about the same size as a beef wellington! Could easily feed 2/3 people of it! Was delicious and will definitely come back if we are in the area. Lovely little pub in the countryside as well just set the tone. Thank you!

Stopped at the White Heart on the way to London just by luck. Had a great ploughman's lunch and my son had a delicious Cajun chicken burger. Had a country pub atmosphere, which is what it is really. Polite and professional service. Well worth a stop.

What a delight finding this place. Arrived last minute and just in time for their yummy Sunday lunch. Very tasty and plentiful. The price is more than we would normally pay but was worth it. Also played pool, cards which we haven't done for years. also dog friendly.

All four (different) meals for my group were of absolute top quality. My steak was excellent and perfectly cooked for me. My tiny remark is that the homemade peppercorn sauce was hot! Absolutely not a problem for me, but for people who prefer a milder flavour should be aware. Sadly, they don't do ale on handpump so they lose a Brownie point for that. Would I go back? Absolutely!

Good pub food very well cooked, with some original touches. Excellent, friendly personal service. I seldom give 5 stars in a review, so 2 4's and a 5 is pretty high praise.

The menu is very small so you really had a choice of steaks, burger or ham and eggs. You get code with everything else but if you buy the steak you have to pay £4 more for the chips. They are more or less just oven chips so really not worth it. I don't know if the waitress is inexperienced but could not get the order correct and missed one of us out (there was 10 of us) even though we were there only people eating. If you do go I would recommend the ham and eggs or the burger as they seemed more with the money.

The roast potatoes were black, everything apart from meat was not edible a bit of a let tbh

Looking from the outside it looks like a normal pub, but it is actually lovely, The great decor matches the character of the place, When given the menu it was only one page of choice, (made decisions easier) we order 10oz steak x 2 chips , steak burger x 2 & a Mach and cheese, all I can say is wow wow wow, very very delicious, if I am ever back in this area will 100% be returning,

Stayed at a local campsite and this was the most local pub. We were super lucky to find this gem. Pucker food. I had the 1 kg cote de boef sharer and I can honestly say it was one of the tastiest and best cooked cuts of meat I had ever tasted. The landlady was very attentive and the rest of the staff very helpful. Highly recommended. Midweek roast was decent aswell. Large portions and very tasty. Definitely be back next time we visit longleat.

Best Sunday roast I've had in years. I suspect it's because that's all on offer so they do it just right. Friendly staff, plenty of parking, nice clean pub and very dog friendly.

A touch of Yorkshire in Somerset, the landlady is from Leeds in Yorkshire. Take a big appetite as the food is awesome. It's a pub that allows campervans to stay overnight (as members of Britstop) and is ideally situated for a trip to Longleat. My wife and I really enjoyed.

Fabulous food and excellent service. We have eaten here in the evenings and have never been disappointed, so we booked for Sunday lunch this time for a larger group who all thoroughly enjoyed their roasts, which were extremely well cooked and presented, not to mention the indulgent puds. Great range of drinks at the bar and the staff were extremely accommodating, particularly when we all decided to eat outside at the last minute as the sun was shining. A lovely kid and dog friendly pub with a good menu and a warm welcome. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous meal last weekend the nachos were amazing so was the 3am Mac and cheese. Fantastic portions fabulous food and great value for money. Will definitely be back

Nice, friendly place. Car park is a bit awkward, but it's a decent size. Pleasant atmosphere & good food - the Yorkshire burrito (a massive roll of Yorkshire pudding filled with chicken & stuffing) is great if you have the capacity for it! Dog friendly too.

Called in here randomly for a quick bite to eat. Didn't see hardly any veggie options on. The lady behind the bar, sensing our disappointment, was really quite excellent and said she'd have a word with the chef to see if they could rustle up something. She returned with a variety of options we could have. Brilliant. We left full and satisfied.

Nice looking place on the inside and the bartender was friendly enough. We were put off by the handwritten menu with no explanation, just felt a bit disappointing. It could’ve been lovely food but wasn’t a good impression.

Visited for first time to join the bulldog meet organised and hosted there. Warm welcome and of course dog friendly. Limited menu choices, but service and quality is very good. Will definitely return.

Popped in to get a quick Saturday tea on route from Wookey Hole to Kent, really friendly staff who were very welcoming. The menu choices were good and they do roasts every day! Lush! Tea came out quickly and the roast was brilliant, loads of veg, lovely gravy and the pork was moist and delicious. The kids giant fish fingers got the thumbs 👍 up from the 10 year old. Highly recommend you pop in.

I was very disappointed with the standard of the food, My food came out to find the food was very un appetising, the mash still had the skins on, and had no taste to the meal sausages was under cooked , when I approached the staff they had attitude and didn’t find them very helpful, I wouldn’t recommend

Came here for a meal with my family. The food was amazing especially the burgers, big portion sizes. The staff were very polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend not expensive either

We went to The White Hart for a sunday lunch 26th June and found it to be one of the best pub sunday lunches we have had all fresh vegetables and plenty of them as for the Pork it was perfect . We will be going back keep up your good work

Stopped for a poo. Decent clean toilet, plenty of toilet roll although a bit rough for my tender bottom. Nice smelling handsoap, would recommend. 8/10.

We have visited this pub on a few occasions. The staff has always been very nice and helpful. They have a nice selection of drinks. The food is very good with big portions. My only little gripe is low powered hand dryers in the toilets, takes ages to dry your hands. This will not stop us returning. Very nice pub. Garry & Elaine.
