very tasty food cooked really well .

Ordered the roast duck fried rice. The duck seemed more boiled in water than roasted. The ribs were all more fat than meat. The food was awful. Arrived 10 minutes earlier than the requested time so had to answer the door in my towel. Specified a time for a reason. Very poor food not ordering from here again.

Both noodles and meal were Freezing cold on delivery even though we live round the corner. Have ordered many times before and has been perfect but tonight was a complete let down and waste of money.

Salt and pepper munch box was just chips and chicken with salt and pepper. Ribs were extremely tough. No veg, cold food considering it had just opened. Considering the munch box was 25 quid the quality was awful. Collect from oriental in anlaby if you want a munch box, much cheaper and far superior quality

Tasted quite bland, no real taste to the curry. Spring rolls were overloaded with 5 spice so ruined, just wasn’t needed in them, and mostly bamboo shoots and hardly any other filling. Prawn crackers are the thin ones that fall apart. Noodles were the only nice part. Sorry 😞

My order was over an hour late. Unfortunately our order didn't turn up when we expected due to the driver not been able to find out adress, which no one is at fault for. However, they sent our order back and didn't get in contact with us to let us know they were unable to find the adress. I called them due to them saying that the order has been delivered when it had not, that's when i found out the order has actually been sent back with no communication or contact to let me know. Been watching Khoan for a few years now on YouTube and learning many of his recipes, all have been much better than what you can get locally to me. Was mine and the wife's birthday last night and thought we would treat ourself to the real thing, travelled from Whitby so was a fair trek for a takeaway but was really worth the trip. Also had the pleasure of been the first person to make an order via his live stream, and to top it off he kindly gave me a seasoned Wok and some salt and pepper seasoning to try at home. Wonderful family, all very polite and kind. The food was absolutely outstanding, and we should know as we ordered around 10 mains for the 2 of us, just so we could try everything and none of it was disappointing. Cant wait to return, very well recommended A+++

It's the best Chinese takeaway in Hull, with by far the best set menus. On this occasion I also tried the vegetable chow mein, and it was absolutely delicious!

Something has changed here, the Singapore chow mein , something I’ve had from here a few times, was so hot as to be indedible and ended up in the bin. My partners dish was ok.

Was delicious as always, but the driver needs to drive to the front and not the back and needs to be at the main doors then ring to let me know he's downstairs and not a street away

good flavour and medium amount of spice in the spicy chow mein. there was also a lot of flavour and ingredients in the green pepper and black bean sauce. defiantly will be ordering again

Nicely early but not too early and the delivery driver was very polite and the food was nice hit and tasty.

Order all the time, however disappointed tonight. Chips have reverted back to skinny chips instead of usual chunky chips which was the problem before. Rice was not cooked enough, looked more like boiled rice and a bit dry. Noodles lacked flavour and again dry.

Great food nice decent large portions and it was delivered early nice so really pleased only thing was we ordered ribs in honey sauce but it's more like the bbq sauce but would still recommend.

Food was hot, tasted great, decent portions. Only fault was delivery was about 30 mins late, but staff were polite upon calling to ask how much longer and apologised for the delay.

Food is great, use it every Sunday and get enough for leftovers on Monday, would recommend it to anyone who likes Chinese food.

Ordered beef curry and rice but beef was just fatty and had no connection with meat,beef should not be on the menu.

Chow mein and spring rolls were both a disappointment.

Food felt like they had cooked noddles and rice and thrown in meat cooked way earlier as it was stone cold meat and red hot noodles and rice. Sweet and sour just tasted of vinegar. Spare rods tasted like there was only fat left on it.

Food was terrible beef was like dog food

Arrived when it said it would and was cheap. However, we had very poor quality food. Perhaps a bad night for them but chips were dry and gravy was terrible. Prawn toast oily and over cooked, several of the spring rolls had burst open. Chilli chicken the chicken was crispy but the sauce just had an overwhelming vinegar taste. A shame, chucked most of it straight in the bin.

Good collection time and restaurant service. But food rubbish! Chicken was like wet dog.

I honestly love the food here usually; had a few problems in the past with delivery but overall since then they’ve been good except: the ribs suddenly got super overcooked, dry, chewy and tough. They used to be meaty, fatty and soft and my favourite side order from here. I wouldn’t order anymore from here the ribs; poor quality and poorly cooked, the shredded beef or chicken; also very poorly/ overcooked now and super tough, the chicken satay skewers, also very poorly cooked, or the ‘pineapple’ dishes as what I received looked and tasted like a watered down sweet and sour, not what I was expecting and I don’t like sweet and sour hence why I didn’t order that instead! If you avoid the above dishes their food is usually good quality, price, and quantity, also glad they changed back the chips to chunky ‘Chinese takeaway’ style chips rather than fries as they did for a while. Usual order; for me, Special, pork or chicken satay(depending on my mood) with chips Spare ribs in bbq sauce(would no longer reccomend) Differing sides and starters, all usually fine For my partner, beef in black bean/ other dish(usually all good) Shredded chilli beef or chicken(would no longer reccomend) So order with caution now essentially! Also of note we ordered the prawn batter balls last time and there was just sooo much tasteless stodgy batter my partner wasn’t a fan at all.

Great food, especially beef satay. But, the ginger and onion didn't have ginger, just a faint taste maybe. Also, by onion, I didn't think white onion. The dish had too much of white onion - I thought you meant spring onion? Can you reply to this account and let me know?

Bring back the fat fluffy chips! The skinny ones are nowhere near as good :(

We are never disappointed by Vongs: the food is always excellent. Their vegetarian choice is good and the salt and chilli tofu is the best tofu I’ve had

I've ordered from bongs before and never noticed it to be this bad. The rice must have been batched cooked and then the curry sauce pored over to warm it up. I cut have cut it like a cake. The noodles were cold and tasteless, nothing had been done to the watery beansprouts. The sweet and sour sauce was like jelly but without any flavour. The chicken for the chicken balls was questionable. The bbq sauce on the ribs was not bbq flavour at all. The chip are like a pizza shop. Over all it was cold and tasteless. Very disappointed

Food wasn’t up to good standard at all. The sweet and sour didn’t taste like sweet and sour, and the chicken was a bit questionable, we binned both our meals. Chips and rices were nice though.

Pork smelled awful. Taste off. Noodles and spring rolls was extremely salty. Chips aren't the same. Overall disappointed. Which is a shame because it used too be nice

Everything was fine with the food except the chips as they were different style of chips from the last time I ordered them as last time they were chunky chips but this time the chips were more like fries and there were a few bad bits on them as well

Disappointed that the chips are now skinny fries. Did not enjoy them. Wong Tongs slightly greasy and not much filling. Enjoyed the king prawn rice and curry sauce. Used to always give full stars, however food not as good lately.

Was okay except the salt and pepper chips were fries and the Singapore noodles were more like a curry noodle which is different to others I’ve had but it was still nice, quick delivery and chicken balls were great

Poor cheap tasteless food, bag was soaking wet and the curry sauce had leaked every where. The bags of chips where wet through so fell out of bags into bag with curry sauce everywhere! We salvaged what we can, but I wish I hadn't bothered! Chinese don't sell fries, skinny fries! Why? Curry sauce tastless other than salt and fried rice wasn't fried and the chicken was absolutely disgusting. So much so the cat and dogs both turned it down!

Great quality food, well presented, delivery time of an hour a little longer than ideal but that was the only fault. Will be ordering again!
