Absolutely fantastic food. The sea bass on the fresh pasta was unbelievable. Jumped to no 1 Italian for me locally.

One of our favourite places to eat in our home town of Hessle. Always good food and a great atmosphere plus reasonable prices.

1st time dining here, highly recommended by friends, did not disappoint. Slow to start with with drinks orders but to be honest it wasn't an issue as was nice to have a good chat with hubby. Food was amazing, hubby loved the muscles! Ravioli was just to die for... the sauce omg they need to bottle it! Rebecca was our server, she was quite new but she was amazing and served us brilliantly, thank you Rebecca 😊 there were 2 other young guys serving who were also very good. We really enjoyed our evening and cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend 👌

Beautiful food, fantastic staff

Empty restaurant, unfortunately as I have a severe illness, it's difficult to sit in a restaurant, so I went there for a takeaway. Was told they don't do takeaways

My 5th time visiting here tonight in the last few months, absolutely love it! The best restaurant in Hull 100%, I've had a few different things on the menu and I can say everything I've had has been 10/10 can't wait to visit again! The staff are lovely aswell. Thank you x

Food is perfect, so delicious and nothing to complain about. Regarding service - super friendly, but waiting time is a little bit too long. Would recommend to look into it.

First time here last night and wow, as soon as you walk in you’re hit with such wonderful aromas. The food was incredible and the staff were lovely. Probably the best Calzone I’ve ever eaten. Will certainly be returning!

Great first visit to this new pizzeria in Hessle. Service a little slow to start off waited 25mins to order drinks/food - they were quite busy for first weekend in January, but starters came quickly and pizzas are amazing. Definitely going back! Update; our second visit last week (15th July 2023) was even better food and atmosphere wise but again service still slow - booked table for 4 at 7.30pm and it was 10.30pm before we left - had to sit outside 15min until table was ready which was okay as it had stopped raining! Had to ask twice for water, and the bill and one of the drinks as it was forgotten. Plenty of staff on but it was busy so be prepared to wait. Otherwise fantastic starters, main and desserts! Maybe go early or on a weeknight if you dont like a long wait. Update; our latest visit 30th June 2024 and food still excellent and pleased to say service has improved - much speedier than ever before. Can't fault anything about this place. Love it! Our number one Italian for miles

Food speaks for it self don't needs to give any stars, staff welcoming friendly and attentive it a lovely to see young people interact with customers old and young the manager is on the ball and very informative would definitely recommend this little piece of Italy in Hessle thanks to you all for a great evening Janet and John McBride

Food was excellent, staff friendly and accommodating. The reason I'm not giving it more stars is because my wife only drinks diet coke and they didn't have any, problem with their supplier apparently. Also we was sat in a room upstairs with a big table of children having a party which was very loud also table behind had two toddlers on which were screaming and running about which I don't find acceptable when you're paying the prices they were charging, £11 average for a starter????

Just been with my husband for our anniversary. The food was fantastic as was the service. We went early and loved the relaxed environment. Would definitely recommend

Fabulous Italian restaurant which is very authentic with fantastic flavours, staff friendly and always helpful though we weer waiting a while to order our food, that said it doesn't put me off going back got that delicious food!!

Great local restaurant, quality ingredients and good sized portions and excellent service. Be aware though that it can get very hot and noisy upstairs so at busy times it may be a good idea to ask for a table downstairs

They have asian fraidsters trying to use my card in there all the time not the restaurants fault but shows you the kind of people they have in there also eastern Europeans fraudsters

It's my favourite place to eat at the moment

The Vivace Bistro is one of Hessle’s best kept secret in Italian food, friendly service and consistent everytime we go. We are heading there in a couple of weeks for my father’s birthday and we choose this restaurant because it dishes up quality on every front. Nothing is too much for the staff in helping you meal be an enjoyable one. Well done guys, brilliant service, atmosphere and most importantly food.

Usually enjoy the food at this place but tonight wasn't so great. Garlic breads were thick oil which we mentioned to Danni and she kindly sorted this out for us. However, the chef (owner) was utterly rude. We had been at our table for 1 hour 15 minutes and he came upto our table rudely and said 'you need to leave you have been here longer than 2 hours and we have people waiting downstairs for the table', we didn't sit down until 6 and our food came out at 6:30. The cake came out at 7:10 after waiting for it for 10 minutes. We won't be returning here again, but thank you to Danni for being so lovely to us and understanding.

Unfortunately not our favourite restaurant in the area. Starters weren't nice (garlic bread & rice balls) but the mains were nice. We had good service so that was good. The atmosphere upstairs isn't good at all, it echoes terribly because of all the hard surfaces, floor & walls so you can't hear your own family /friends talking. Others might not agree though so don't let me put you off giving it a try, it's just not our kind of place..

Went for a family meal so there were a few of us and with it being close to Christmas it was very busy. The staff were very welcoming and friendly despite being rushed off their feet. The food was amazing!! Loved our first experience here.

What a fantastic little spot for delicious authentic food. The staff was fantastic and very attentive. The restaurant itself is well decorated and with the music in the background it felt like you were in the heart of Napoli. The food was gorgeous so good I never took any pictures because I couldn't wait to eat it !! Definitely worth a visit if you want a fantastic atmosphere and delicious food.

Visited as a group of 7 ladies to celebrate a friend's big birthday. The staff were amazingly friendly and attentive. Food was truly delicious. We ordered a selection of antipasti, breads and olives to share which were plentiful, well presented and very tasty. Main meals included pizzas and pasta dishes together with a good selection of seafood and steaks. Perfectly cooked and very well presented. We'd brought in a small birthday cake and staff were happy to bring it with candles lit, to the tables. An especially good service and great place. My only criticism would be that the noise levels get quite high when full and maybe some soft furnishings would help to dampen the sounds. Looking forward to another visit.

This place caught our eye a few weeks back and we'd been meaning to go in for red wine and arancini for some time. So last Saturday we did. We sat outside (in October!). The wine and food was beautiful. Such a cool experience.

I've eaten here twice now and both times it's been amazing! Staff are friendly and professional but also more than willing to have a laugh with you if that's what you want. Food is delicious and good sized portions - we've come away with left over pizza both times! There's lots more I want to try on the menu and one day I'd like to have space to try dessert too! It's always busy so definitely recommend booking if you want to go.

Love this place. The staff are super accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Food is so good and surprisingly affordable considering the quality. Would definitely recommend!

Toilets need some attention, meat balls dry prawns dry, will not be visiting again

This was my third visit to Vivace Bistro and thoroughly enjoyed it yet again. The food is of exceptional quality and service always good. Never fails to disappoint and we will be back again soon.

My family and I dined at Vivace on Saturday afternoon the 29th of July. It was my in-laws Golden wedding anniversary. All the meals were excellent. The starters of Arancini and spicy tomato bread that my wife and I had were very good. The seafood tagatelli that four people had was superb. Very nicely flavoured and plenty of king prawns, mussels and clams. The wine and service was also very good, so a excellent evening was had by all. My wife and I have visited three times before for pizza and it had never s disappointed. It was great to actually try some pasta so we will all be returning. Well done Vivace.

We called in today at lunchtime and were lucky to get a table upstairs. The food is excellent quality and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are all extremely pleasant and friendly. After the starter and main course we were very full but didn't miss out as we took our dessert home with us for teatime. We will be back and will remember to book next time. Thank you.

Me and the wife went 25/7 tea time and received 5 star service all round. Owner and wife lovely - great chef and lovely young girl with quick service looked after our table well. I asked for chilli on my pizza- was no where near enough for my liking so I asked for extra and it was sorted straight away. Will be back again asap. Arachini balls starter was spot on too. Wife had the pasta with was fresh and very tasty. Side of chips decorated nicely with green herb and spice

We had table booked at 4pm. Our table was not ready for us and we were asked to wait 10 minutes outside. When we finally could get in, we had to wait another 10 minutes to order drinks, and another 10 minutes to order food. Then we had to wait over 30 minutes to get our food. So over an hour of waiting. In this local, there is nothing that could absorb the noise. We could not even talk because it was too loud. I had to leave because started having a headache. It was more like pub during football match rather than restaurant. The food was really tasty and prices are fair but we could not enjoy this in full beacuse of the waiting time and the horrible noise.

This is a local walking distance restaurant from where I stay when coming to visit parents. The food is really good - would say especially good seafood. Service prompt, efficient, staff with lovely sense of humour. Thoroughly recommend. And I'm fussy. Thank you staff.

Staff very friendly, great food

We went in for an unplanned lunch and got a table upstairs. There was a great atmosphere and we were impressed with the authentic Italian menu. We ordered a starter to share and two pasta dishes for main and we were very pleased with the quality of the food! Great portion sizes too, at a very fair price. We will definitely be visiting again!

Great food and very efficient service. We were a party of 14 and had pre-ordered, and everything was served quickly and correctly so we were all eating pretty much together. Staff were friendly and attentive, and prices are also pretty reasonable. The food was absolutely lovely! We will definitely be back again!

I attend Vivace one evening. I booked the table for 19.30 for a table of four. On arrival we were shown to our table on the first floor. We ordered Calzone pizzas. It took forever for the order to arrive. When it did arrive, considering that this is an Italian restaurant the Pizza was of very poor quality, plenty of bread but not sufficient filling for the amount of base. We left at 22.00hrs so two and a half hours to be served with a poor quality meal. Staff very friendly, kitchen immaculate but service and food not there yet.

Amazing food and fantastic staff! The food was delicious, a lovely memory for Mothers day. The front of house lady was very attentive, even when the restaurant was busy she still made sure that we were looked after. Can't wait to return!
