We went to have lunch in this Sri Lankan restaurant.Honestly one of the best restaurant ee went to.The taste and presentation was so good .The service by Sam and Rakesh was spot on. They give home feeling.

We had visited the Ruslip Manor branch years ago, and despite our buds being burned, we were completely bowled over. So the discovery of this branch was genuinely exciting. And my gosh the flavour bomb still drops! We ordered: Mutton rolls - a family favourite Chicken 65 - another family approved Mutton fry - another favourite Chicken wings - good Fish cutlets - not to everyone's taste as the fish is strong, but nice Mutton biryani - good Chicken Devil - yum Ceylon chicken curry - delicious Dhal - simple and heartwarming Fantastic rich, layered Sri Lankan food, and while it can be spicy, it's still full of depth.

Lovely authentic Sri Lankan food which brought back good memories from back home. Their dhal and sweet appam was really good. Vegetarian friendly as well :)

Finger licking delicious - We were looking for authentic Sri Lankan food and had the best crab curry outside of Sri Lanka. Staff is very helpful and the atmosphere is cosy and casual.

We visited Virundhu for the first time this evening and were very pleased with the service and quality of food we received. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was very light and flavourful. The restaurant also had a very lovely ambiance. We will definitely be returning again in the future.

The starters that we had were amazing and tasty. Presentation was good too. However there was barely anything on the Menu that we asked. Most items were not available. When the food arrived it seemed most the curries were blended into same only the meat was different. Overall it was decent experience but don't think I'll come again.

When you eat here, you have a sense that you're getting real, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. This is a great change from going to your usual high street Italian, Turkish, Indian or Thai, where things can begin to feel a bit samey.

Virundhu catered for our wedding back in 2023 (to rave reviews!) and we decided to drive for over an hour to visit on a Sunday evening with the family. Seafood Virundhu Sappadu was a particular highlight. Superb food and fantastic warm service. Very much looking forward to returning.

The decor and ambience is decent and has good vibes. The staff are all very nice and friendly and you could tell they loved the food and knew a lot about it. The fish curry is recommended the sauce is flavourful and I would get it with the fragrant rice which is what we ordered and it was a good combo. Overall a good representation of Sri Lankan food!

Coming to Virundhu for the first time was a very pleasant experience, especially being served by Sam - he was very kind and helpful and made sure throughout our meal that it was to our satisfaction. The food was extremely nice and comforting and would 100% recommend!

Without a doubt, the best Sri Lankan restaurant I’ve ever been to! I’ve been to many Sri Lankan restaurants over the years, but Virundhu in Harrow stands head and shoulders above the rest. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the hospitality was second to none. The food was a masterclass in authentic Sri Lankan cuisine — every dish was rich in flavour, made with fresh ingredients, and cooked with real heart. You could tell this place takes pride in what they serve. A huge part of what made our visit so memorable was the outstanding service. Sam went above and beyond — he didn’t just serve us; he made our experience personal and unforgettable. He even helped make our 9-year-old son’s birthday extra special with a thoughtful surprise that truly touched us. And we can’t forget the lovely waitress (we didn’t catch her name) — she was of Asian Oriental background and her service was just as incredible. Friendly, professional, and attentive, she made sure everything ran smoothly and made us feel genuinely cared for. Her service was 5-star all the way! It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers on food, service, and atmosphere all at once — but Virundhu nails it. If you’re after authentic Sri Lankan food served with heart and excellence, this is the place. We’ll definitely be returning — many times over!

Everything was absolutely brilliant !! Food was the best !!! If you want spicy, this is the place to go!!! They can also make it low spicy (if you can't handle it) ! We were looked after by Sam, he gave us the best service!

Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and the experience was amazing. It’s not our first time eating here, so we knew the food would be good, but somehow everything seemed better than we remembered, and even though we only mentioned it at the start of our visit, the staff brought my boyfriend a complimentary dessert to celebrate his birthday. Really good authentic Sri Lankan food however if you cannot handle spice, do make sure you tell them. Went with a group of friends and ordered spicy. All I can say is, I am one who can handle the heat and even I managed to feel it. The food was nice and the service was decent, although a little slow. Definitely would recommend it if you are after some authentic Sri Lankan food.

Tried Vridhu for the first time and honestly, I was blown away. The lamb was hands down one of the best I’ve had—no heavy masala or oily chukka, just a great cut of meat cooked perfectly. You could really taste the quality. Everything felt fresh and well-balanced. On top of that, the team was warm and welcoming—it felt like I was eating at someone’s home, not a restaurant. Would happily drive back just for that lamb. Thank u Sam for the love and care!

Delicious authentic food, lovely ambience, and courteous and friendly service! Everything is made fresh, so the food may take time to arrive but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Came here in the evening and had a wonderful meal in a relaxed and pretty restaurant. They were really helpful with our order and suggested that the lovely Fish Sappadu would be enough for the two of us. It was as we found it to be a very generous portion and it gave a nice range of fish dishes. We also had Mutton Rolls which were just as good. We would definitely come here again!

Definitely worth the visit and worth the drive of 1 hour. Amazing ambience and very pleasant staff. Food was really good quality and definitely a huge quantity -better to share the dishes. Very satisfying meal ,definitely a hidden gem and will highly recommend to try this place for authentic sri Lankan cuisine. I would love to come back again try other dishes. This time we had sea food thali meal- fish , prawns and crab curries tasted amazing and bursting with flavours and complemented well with rice and roti. We also tried lamprice- rice cooked in mutton stalk , with mutton , aubergine and fish cutlet baked in banana leaf- must try. We also tried egg Hopper and string hoppers with jafna mutton curry with bone- mutton curry was excellent. Overall we had a good satisfying meal and must try this restaurant. Paid parking available nearby.

Great restaurant with amazing atmosphere. Had lovely time with wonderful foods. One of the best restaurant to dine in with our family. Was able to enjoy authentic sri lankan food. Must visit this restaurant at least once. Will defo cone again and again. It was very sweet of them to offer ginger tea on the house to all their customers at the end of the meal. The service was amazing everyone was very kind and accommodating.

We went to have lunch in this hidden gem restaurant. We had a very nice food. Very authentic and the flavours burst in the mouth. The crab curry and the combination of parota is out of this world. One of the best Sri Lankan Restaurants. Must go again.

Myself and Husband had a delicious lunch today. We started off with starters of fish cutlet and grilled prawns and main dish was veechu rotti, prawns curry and chicken curry. All dishes were out of the world. Wattalppam was yummy! Highly recommended. Thank you for the good customer service.

As a vegetarian, I was looking for something unique, and the manager/owner, Sam, was incredibly kind and helpful. He took the time to explain the menu and helped me choose dishes that suited my taste while offering something different. His passion for the food really came through. The experience was warm, welcoming, and absolutely delicious. I’m already looking forward to going back for the same dishes!
