Amazing food!! Made my Birthday special!!

We took our mum here for her bday and she loved it. Big portions and everything really tasty. Very attentive waitresses too!

The food was decent but it's definitely over priced. In my seafood virundu dish they gave prawn crab and fish curries all tasted the same and I found a fish born in the crab curry and that explains why it all tasted the same

Everything we ate was delicious and authentic. Lovely service too. Lamb chops, chicken curry, mogo and the banana leaf meal were my favourites. Great cocktails.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Virundhu Sri Lankan Cuisine, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! We started our meal with the mutton roll, which was simply amazing — bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. For the mains, we tried both the chicken kottu and seafood kottu. Each dish was delicious and beautifully presented, showcasing the rich and vibrant flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine. The restaurant also offers a great selection of mocktails that perfectly complemented our meal. Overall, I had a five-star experience at Virundhu. If you're looking for authentic Sri Lankan food in a lovely atmosphere, this is the place to be!

Fantastic srilanka food, high quality and great ambience.

Driven past this restaurant many times and finally ventured there for dinner. Taste profiles were great from starters to dessert, with generous portions. Highly recommended, especially the wattalapam for dessert. Won't be the last time we visit.

From the warm ambiance to the friendly staff, everything about Virundhu made us feel right at home. The food was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the Lamb Soup Rasam, which was flavorful and comforting. The chicken wings and lamb chops were next-level, perfectly seasoned and cooked. We also tried the Fish Virundhu, which was so fresh and delicious, and the Lamb Paris—a tender, richly spiced delight. Even our son, who rarely eats veggies, loved the Chicken Virundhu, which speaks volumes! The Crab Gravy was another highlight, delivering an authentic, homemade taste that’s hard to beat. Every dish was flawless—zero complaints. Virundhu is a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine. Every penny spent felt worth it, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Its a really nice atmosphere, the team are friendly, service is professional, the food - really delicious, real depth of flavour in everything ive tried, really recommend the Gobi/chicken 65, the seeni Sambal is a must..!

Amazing place to have srilankan food. We were trying srilankan cuisine for the very first time and it was lip smacking good!! Sam was very a gracious host. Thank you Highly recommend the prawn devil and egg appam with ceylon chicken curry. Just small feedback: the ceylon chicken curry had very little curry and hence a little more curry with appam would be great!! Other than that, amazing place!!

Virundhu is hands-down a treat! The food was incredible—pure comfort on a plate. We dug into chickpea aubergine curry, jackfruit curry, soft porotha, fried rice, appam, and those heavenly savory doughnuts. Every bite was packed with flavor! The staff was so warm and welcoming, making it feel like a real family experience. And to top it off, complimentary sweets and ginger black tea. Yum, yum, yum! If you love Sri Lankan food, don’t miss this place!

Absolutely 10/10. We came here to break our fast for a work dinner and it was my second time having Sri Lanken food, I was blown away by the flavour. Highly recommend. Service was perfect. Coming here again for sure

Ordered lamb biriyani for £15. This was given as a mild mutton curry with few pieces of meat mixed around in rice with an egg added. No garnish, no onion, no chill, no garlic. I am baffled by the 4.5 star rating.

Their service is extremely slow and appalling. Starter came after 40 mins, and mains came after 2 hrs.. mains quality was not great... very average food quality.
