Fab service plenty of gluten free options Friendly service

Just had a delicious Afternoon Tea, everything scrumptious, but especially the strawberry & cream scones and the lemon drizzle cake. Highly recommend 😋

Style over substance sadly. Great service & atmosphere but soup lacked flavour as did the apple cake. Wouldn't return.

Lovely setting nestled in the countryside. Food was yummy and was a real treat for myself and my mother in law. Lovely china cups and plates for the food being served. Very quintessential. Only slight downside was having to go up to the desk to request more beverages for the unlimited tea/coffee, but not a great issue overall.

Great place in our village. Always a pleasure to visit. Great sweet stuff but special mention must go to gluten free fudge brownies - wow!

Lovely little place ,Ideally situated after a long dog walk ,working up an appetite. The corned beef pie was to die for.

Not even busy when we arrived which can be a sign but coffees great food lovely 😋 my elderly mum loved it with all quaint crockery and old fashioned decor. Wheelchair accessible on request too.

Bone China everywhere. Tea always tastes better from a chia cup. I had the corned beef pie with trimmings. The pie was delicious. They certainly didn't skimp on the filling. Price wise acceptable. Plenty of lovely homemade cakes on show. The staff were friendly. A pleasant hour spent in olde worlde tea room.

Went in for a cuppa and food,had been a couple of years since last visit and it was just the same.

Always spot on! I’ve visited VIP Teas on dozens of occasions, which speaks volumes, with family and friends. The staff are always extremely pleasant and very accommodating, particularly to my 97 year old mother - so much so, we’ve been there for her last two birthdays. Nothing is ever a problem - just marvellous service always. The food is wonderful - from freshly baked quiches and pies each day to the varied sandwich menu and the cakes and scones are to die for. I’ve ordered many celebration cakes her over the years too which are amazing and extremely reasonably priced. The place is immaculate too and plenty of parking either directly outside or just over the road. I cannot recommend VIP Teas highly enough

A slice of corned beef pie, a smidge of side salad, a few crisps and 4 sultana scones....£13.05😳 Takeaway!! First and last visit! Had it been extraordinary....fair enough....but high price for mediocre quality. Live and learn!

My wife and I went for an Afternoon Tea for her birthday. The food was super delicious and very well presented. On arrival, the staff were welcoming and polite. The Tea Room has a lovely atmosphere, is well decorated and is spacious enough to keep a good distance between the tables. Overall a lovely place and looking forward to returning.

Took my family here for afternoon tea, the scones were second to none and you could tell they were very fresh in taste and quality! The owners were extremely welcoming and I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to visit this fine place. Thanks for the wonderful service x

We are regulars at this tearoom & it never disappoints. The ambience is warming & welcoming. The cakes & traybakes are all homemade & you get a good sized portion for your money, but for me it’s the scones, they are just amazing, in particular the raspberry & white chocolate, literally perfect & one of the best scones I have ever had! Highly recommend this tearoom

We love the slightly quirky genteel atmosphere. Busy on a weekday lunchtime. The pie and scone were both beautifully baked. Even the tea tastes better in the refined delicate tea service.

Second visit to this lovely little tea room. Popped in for cake and coffee. I love the vintage china and cutlery and displays of old fashioned teapots. The staff are warm and welcoming and the cakes, scones, pies, quiche are all freshly baked. I had a lovely victoria sponge and my Mam had a lemon and lime drizzle cake, both of which were delicious and we also bought a couple of cheese scones to take away. Highly recommended.

Went on Sunday as part of my birthday treat with my partner and little girl there was no children's menu when I asked about it they explained that they could do anything in a child's portion. I ordered a sandwich for my little girl who is 21 months so they asked how many slices of bread she would like to have when I explained that she would only eat the filling they offered to make up a little plate of the filling and some crisps and cucumber which my daughter loved. The 2 ladies working were really friendly and accommodating and it was great value for money. Would definitely return.

Revisted after a long while and was disappointed with the service and panini/sandwich prices. Nice cake tho.

Id not been here for a few years and went with my parents. I was looking forward to taking them there. On arrival I walked through the door and said hello. There was no smile or hello, very poor. I then asked if we should order a pot of tea between two for three people as often it's a big pot and i was told no it served two! When the pot arrived it could have easily had more water for three people, instead it was half full. I was going to order a panini or a sandwich but i just thought it was too expensive. £5.70 for a panini is a bit much really. So we just had cake which was lovely but i did think the service was a bit grumpy and unfortunately theres just loads of other places to choose from that are more competitive and lower prices.

I tok a friend to VIP teas for a late breakfast as its nearby and a nice environment. It wasnt busy so we "browsed" the cakes, but chose a scone each with butter and jam / marmalade. The scones and coffee were very good and the staff friendly. It was lovely to see a fresh pie being baked when I went to pay. All home produce.

My husband and I called into this unique vintage style tearoom this morning for coffee and scones. Having been several times before we knew that the scones would be fresh and delicious and we were not disappointed. Our daughter calls us the sconnossiers as we are always searching for the perfect scone and are not easily pleased. But VIPs always comes up trumps. I had the cheese which was light and tasty and my husband had the cherry and almond which was equally as delicious. The cakes are also freshly made and though we didn’t indulge on this visit we will do next time. Very good value too. It’s well worth a visit to this gem of a place.

I have visited here twice now with my family. I would recommend this place to everyone. The staff are nice. Everything is reasonably priced. The food tastes delicious. I will definitely be coming back here again!

l was taken by family for my birthday as l didn't want a party, the food was very good and the people very nice. There was a choice of sandwiches, they asked each person what filling they wanted. There were scones with jam and thick cream and a selection of cakes.

Excellent service as my wife and I had taken our two grandchildren (10 months old) for something to eat. The owners looked after us through out our stay. Brilliant place.

There are many small cafes around but VIP Teas is really special. The cafe is thoughtfully & beautifully presented with vintage china and cutlery and immaculately clean. The food and drinks are superb - the best scone I have ever had - and very reasonably priced. People like these work very hard & deserve to succeed. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to you for our wonderful get together... we had a party of 10 with family from America and we couldn't wait for our visit.

Took a new family for a jaunt and lunch, they weren't let down. Small child only wanted ham in a sandwich with cucumber and crisps on the side, not a problem. Tall girl wanted a Panini instead of a sandwich on her cream tea, not a problem. The other cream teas were decaf tea and green tea, not a problem. Service always friendly, food always home cooked and delicious. I dare say we'll all be returning soon.

Went with my friend for lunch and very accommodating. To make sure we had space for a cake we decided to share a sandwich. This was not a problem and we both were given the garnish of crisps, salad and coleslaw.

Ime sorry to have to say how disappointed I was with our afternoon tea. I was actually embarrassed as had taken my in-laws for a treat for a very special birthday.

Always good service, even when they are busy. Good selection of lovely homemade cakes. Good knowledge of gluten free foods and usually a good selection too. 50s style interior, china crockery. My granddaughter loves coming here.

What a delightful venue to host a family gathering, 26 for afternoon tea. Delicious cakes, great service and such a homely, warm feeling. I'd highly recommend.

Amazing tea room with a fantastic gluten free selection

Visited this place 3 times now, lovely little place the deco reminds me of my grandmas. There’s a lovely selection of cake. However I do feel it’s let down with the staff. Everytime I’ve been I’ve felt the staff aren’t very welcoming or look like they’re enjoying their job (no one likes working). However if you’re working with people I think it’s importanr to make customers feel welcome to create a positive atmosphere.
