Our friends invited us here for afternoon tea. We were seated on a table facing the fading afternoon sun which was very bright. Unfortunately we were told there were no blinds which could be used to block the glare so we tilted the table round to avoid the worst of it. You get to choose your sandwich filling (and bread type), I went for egg mayo. This is good as the sandwiches are freshly prepared and tasted great. Unfortunately there was only 3 small fingers worth, not sure what happened to the normal 4th finger! There was also a slim piece of quiche, scone and 3 cakes. All lovely, if very sweet. Given this is a farm shop, they should consider doing a purely savoury afternoon tea too. Prices are not cheap, but the quality of food and service is very good.

Decided to stop off today on our way back home. Carpark was busy and restaurant full. We were greeted by a very friendly, smiley lady who seated us as soon as a table was cleared & cleaned. The menu was hard to read, lots of information. Would be better if it said for example sausage & mash in bold then the detail underneath. After choosing what we wanted, a venison burger with chips as an extra for my son and a bacon, Brie & cranberry toastie for me. He had a small bottle of coke, a milkshake and I had a “large” latte with honeycomb syrup. £1 to upgrade to “large” and 95p for syrup!!! My latte was not large by any stretch of the imagination. Definitely not worth the price upgrade, Very overpriced!!! Food arrived and was very well presented, with a lovely looking side salad and a little pot of coleslaw. My sandwich was full of Brie, but this just overpowered what little bacon and cranberry sauce that was in it. Very disappointing. The salad dressing was bland at best and mainly just oil. The homemade coleslaw was yummy, although I was not keen on the sultanas in it. My son’s burger was dry and again the salad , looked the part but that was it. The skin on fries were tasty and plenty of them. On today’s food, we would not return and found it all very overpriced.

The restaurant now does a large cup of latte but with an upgrade cost of an extra £1. The cup is not that much bigger than the standard, you get the same amount of coffee just a little more milk. Most coffee shops charge an extra 30-40p for a larger cup. How do they warrant a £1 for the extra milk? We enjoy going the restaurant but don’t want to be ripped off.

Having had breakfast here a few weeks ago we returned for lunch and were not disappointed. The ploughman's was lovely, nice pork pie, haslet and cheese, fresh bread and a flavoursome salad. Quite busy and lots of people out on the decking enjoying the sun and the wild flower view. Good service too.

Cafe interior very nice although a bit breezy due to open doors yo outside seating. The bird names by the owner were funny.Interesting reading about how the bird population was expanded in the grounds thanks to their feeding regime expansion.

We arrived at 11.15 so it was the breakfast menu available…my son chose the full English breakfast, he also chose not to have the eggs, beans and tomatoes…his choice I understand but when we asked if these could be exchanged for another sausage/bacon or mushrooms we were told no…it is £12.50 so a lot for what he actually got. I had coffee and what looked like a delicious biscoffi sponge. Unfortunately the sponge could have been any flavour as didn’t taste of any biscoffi. The cafe itself is a lovely space with a nice feel. A mix of tables/chairs/a few sofas and what looked like a lovely outside area with children’s play area. Everyone has their own opinions but mine will be not to return.

The quality of goods in the shop is excellent and well laid out. The cafe is as good as you will get anywhere in the area. The staff are always courteous and the food excellent. Only one problem, the car park, on a wet day it is like a mud bath. It just spoils it a bit.

Very impressed with this place from start to finish 👍 Parking 👍 Farm Shop was possibly the best that we have ever seen 👍 A big thank you to Dave on the Butchery counter today 👍 Amazing selection of all things garden bird related 👍 Cafe was lovely 👍 Thoroughly enjoyed my Gammon Ham with parsley sauce, mash and buttered cabbage 👍 Reasonably priced 👍 We visited twice today. Once on our journey out for coffee and once on our return journey home for our lunch. We did have to wait a while however they have a buzzer system 👍 Envisage it can get very busy. I gather they were a little short of staff today however the team were working extremely hard and efficiently to serve the customers. Well done to all concerned 👏👏👏

NYE and my nieces 16th bday! We have been here twice before for bday brunches and have always been impressed. We are a family of 15 and go out often for meals and we always have some kinda of issue with missing orders, cold food and fair to middlin’ service. However, the opposite is true at Vine Farm cafe. We absolutely love everything about Vine Farm cafe. Welcoming, professional, neat in aprons and matching uniform. Staff who are all well versed in customer service. Nothing was an issue: taking photos, taking orders etc. We all loved the way the lead server announced first: two vegetarian breakfasts, then the full English x5, then the smashed avocado on toast etc etc. Seamless service, lovely food and a great ambience. We will be back xxx

So so disappointed with the meal today. Paying good money for food that basically was an insult to serve. Portion size seemed more like scraps . We should have said something but we just won’t bother going again. If I was the chef I would be so embarrassed to send food out like that. ☹️

I came over to the Vine house today and for the first time was very disappointed. I had a breakfast and it was cold. Everything was over cooked including the toast. Sadly the prices have increased and the portion sizes reduced and it didn’t feel value for money. I think the soft drinks were very expensive as well. Shame because it’s a lovely place to visit.

Travelled down from Yorkshire and met my daughter. Daughter is coeliac and after asking about GF had a lovely Avacado sandwich with a big salad and slaw in really nice GF bread. Good value and customer service and cleanliness good. However I ordered a bacon sandwich, literally two slices of bread with a meagre amount of bacon for over £5. I took the sandwich back and suggested the bacon portion was a bit mean, she and her crowd of colleagues who all nebbed in, agreed and she checked with the chef who's response was 'i put 2 rashers in every sandwich'! tbh that's tight and expensive.

Went here for breakfast with partner and had the full cooked breakfast. I think the quality of items was pretty good but unfortunately after waiting over 30 mins for our food it was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen for some time as the egg yolk was hard and rubbery and the bacon almost inedible. Other people were served quicker and their food looked freshly cooked. Will not visit again

We had wanted to visit here ever since we saw 'A Wild Year -The Fens' on the BBC. Vine House Farm was featured on the programne as the farmer made space for the birds and other wildlife on the farm. We went for breakfast, I had a vegetarian breakfast and my husband had the full English. Both were delicious and the coffee was good. We went back the next day and I had the best toasted cheese and chutney sandwich ever. They use as much of their own and other local produce as possible and the shop sells it including flour from Boston as well as their own free range eggs. They sell the wild bird food that is grown as a crop at the farm. It was a pleasure to discover toileteries sold in refiillable glass bottles (lovely tee-tree and mint shampoo). There is an emphasis on local produce and sustainability. Outside of the cafe is a wild flower and herb garden. The staff are friendly. It will become a regular stop we continue to explore this beautiful area.

It was apparent from our visit just how popular this place is, and when we can say that having tasted the food we can see why. Although not an extensive menu, the food is locally produced, much of it from Vine House Farm itself. So excellent fresh ingredients, well prepared adds up to an above average meal and we highly recommend you visit and try yourselves, we will certainly be visiting again.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst working in the area.. what a beautiful place. The Mash Tun room was quirky with everything you could possibly need including a tranquil garden to the rear. I'm not a local, but whenever I'm in the area I make a beeline for Turner's! Fantastic battered plaice fillet with chips and mushy peas, a bread roll and a cuppa tea. The fish was fresh, hot and very tasty with nicely browned chips and sweet mushy peas. A lovely soft roll with butter made for a lovely chip butty. Good portion size, plenty for a normal appetite. A fresh brew to wash it down. Very clean inside and attentive service. The carrot cake was also delicious. Yum yum 😋
