Village Vanguard E20 in Newham

Si estás por la zona es un sitio genial para un brunch o almuerzo. Es un sitio muy normalito, pero nunca defrauda: siempre abierto, siempre sirviendo cosas ricas y un servicio constante y bueno. Vamos con los 4 temas de siempre! - local: está decorado muy rollo “Warehouse”, una cosa sin mucha floritura pero muy espacioso, genial para distancia social. - comida: muy rica. Nosotros sólo hemos ido de brunch, y sirven los brunch típicos, súper flexibles con cambios y alergias. - servicio: muy amables. Siempre atentos, flexibles y cercanos. La comida viene súper rápido. - calidad precio: para lo que se despacha en Olimpic Village, muy bien y normal. 2 brunches con bebida caliente para dos unos £23, lo normal. Gracias equipo Vangaard!

Estuve con mi pareja tanto tomando el breakfast como una cena cualquiera y realmente hay calidad/precio inmejorable; las hamburguesas eran gigantes pero con variedad de ingredientes, salsas diferentes y patatas fritas caseras. Volveremos sin lugar a duda!! Well done guys! 😊

Asistí a su lugar para una fiesta de Navidad de trabajo. Si bien en general fue bastante bueno, encontré con mucho al peor barman que tengo en mi vida. Un chico francés de baja estatura que era muy agresivo y me cobró de más después de haber sido admitido anteriormente debido a su error. Su servicio fue pésimo y aunque todo el resto de su personal fue encantador, realmente arruinó mi experiencia.

La primera vez que visite este lugar y no será la última. La próxima vez que esté en Londres, probablemente volveré de nuevo. Buen servicio, buena comida casera, ya un precio razonable. Sin duda recomendaría aquí para comer.

Imagina que te estás sentando tomando el brunch después de una larga semana. Solo para encontrar que VV ya no sirve su desayuno con papas hachís, o en realidad papas de cualquier tipo. Desafortunadamente, la ausencia de este ingrediente vital para el desayuno ha convertido su brunch en una bolsa de risa. Traiga de vuelta las papas brunch, y este cliente habitual podría haber regresado.

Ate dinner here. Staff were efficient and attentive. Made a cocktail off menu. Steak special cooked to perfection. Just wish the tables were a little further apart. Reasonably accessibile would return in future.

Went here for dinner and drinks with friends and the service was dire (well to be honest there was no service and I would have been better to pour my own drinks). I would understand if it was busy but it wasn’t. Bar man and waitress had real attitudes and when we asked for drinks, drinks again, food, food again...bill, and then had to pay bill by going up to the counter they just rolled their eyes....stay clear!

The breakfast was good but the service dire. I went in just before midday and it was not busy. After 25 minutes no service from the waitress . Eventually went to get order from the counter. I am disabled on crutches and find it difficult to move . After the meal and another long wait I had to go to counter again to pay. I know some people feel uncomfortable around the disabled but this should not be an excuse not to serve us. I chose this place specially as it had waitress service,

Tried Village Vanguard again and the experience was very similar to the previous one. The food is ok (not amazing but not bad), ambient is nice and prices are fair. The issue is staff: extremely slow, clearly showing they could not care less, not helpful and borderline rude. Something needs to be done as the place would have so much potential if staff was just a bit better.

Delicious burgers and skin on chips (the double DD/CC burgers in particular), and super generous portions. Cannot recommend enough for easy delicious food.

I took a friend last night and sadly did not get the usual friendly service. It wasn't clear there is no waiter service and staff walked passed us a few times and didn't smile or speak to us. We found a table that needed cleaning and I had to go to the bar to ask if we ordered at the bar. I asked about the vegan bun and was told by a member of staff she's a meat eater so doesn't know......I'm a meat eater but I eat a variety of foods and happy to eat veggie/vegan from time to time. We waited a very long time for the food and nobody came over to apologise....... I wasn't impressed at all, particularly when I'd told my friend I was taking her to a really lovely place....... All the staff were new, has the place been taken over??? The music/ambience totally different. Not sure if I'd return or recommend it as I would have previously

Delicious burgers and cocktails on a sunny weekend! Always have a great time and prices aren't too bad!

My friends and I are locals. We usually went to Neighbourhood before however we found that VV is more friendly to go to. We don’t tend to go often however we do go for quiz nights which is on a Thursday. Great entertainment and the quiz is free - something you don’t see everywhere. Half prize drinks stop at 7 and the quiz starts at 7:30 so perfect to get a table early and save on drinks. We also get something to eat as the quiz finishes at about 20:30. The food is great however too spicy for my liking as they put hot sauce on everything. Food is generous portions which is a bonus. Staff is really friendly vs other places in the area. Highly recommend going to quiz night with friends!

Booked a table with another couple for a catchup with some food and cocktails - this place really hit the spot! It had a simple yet tasty menu, a great drinks selection, awesome cocktails and a friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

In order to celebrate Mother's Day, we booked this restaurant having been here previously for a quiz evening and the food then was delicious. We were not disappointed on Mother's Day. With 3 mothers in our family group and celebrating my daughters birthday too, we were expecting a treat and we certainly got it. The staff super friendly and efficient and the sunday roast was, we all agreed, the best we'd had outside of our own homes. The chef and kitchen staff are to be applauded. Well done Village Vanguard. We'll certainly be back.

The Sunday roast was really nice there was plenty of food on the plate and they bring you a little dish with the veggies in. Just what you want for a Sunday roast and the atmosphere is nice and airy

I’ve been here a few times and it’s by far the best service I’ve had in London. No matter who is behind the bar, they’re customer service is amazing. Every team member seems to go that extra step to make you feel welcome. I can’t recommend it enough just for the friendly service. Bonus points that the food and drink is equally amazing. I’m addicted to their sriracha and honey chicken in any form; wings, pieces or burger. Possibly my favourite place in London.

Went for lunch and had lamb kebab and chicken salad. The food was superb and the portions are big. The food is good value for money. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is spot on. Would highly recommend it.

VV is very close to where we live. We have been a number of times for both food and just for drinks and find the food to be delicious and great value and we always get a warm welcome and great friendly service. Highly recommend.
