Village Pizza UK in Richmond upon Thames

Pizza base was kind of dry and definitely not fresh. Toppings the same. Generally tasted stale like you had reheated it at home the morning after. This place good in about 2010. Really disappointing. Sort it out Village.

Sorry to say this Twickenham branch has really gone downhill . used to always be great pizzas . The quality has gone right down they are now dry not that tasty and never very warm and the staff seem to have difficulty understanding simple instructions . Wont be using anymore

Substandard. Ordered a seafood pizza which took about an hour and a quarter to arrive. The driver was a full-time idiot, claiming that tje biuzzer wasn't working. It's been working at all other times. I reckon he was just too lazy to take a lift to the 5th floor! When I got my food ir was birnt and cold. Please don't waste your money.

I placed an order with UberEats and the delivery was scheduled for 45 minutes which is understandable as I live in West Ealing. I ordered a Vegan pizza with broccoli, spinach and blue cheese for almost 20£ plus delivery fees etc.. The pizza arrived earlier than expected but it was stone cold -I love cold pizza- and also extremely dry. The dough had no salt in it so it was very bland and the toppings were scarce ( one bit of broccoli and spinach per slice?I hate that policy, if it's because of the need for the Restaurant to be able to cut it just leave it to the customers, we all have a knife!!!) 😕 When you make a pizza you would normally scatter the toppings on before you bake it, and for 20£ I expect a bit more than some cold, bland and dry piadina with a bit of sauce on top. Perhaps the delivery area should be reviewed, Twickenham is actually a long way from me and if the food can't be delivered hot I would not bother with it to be honest 🤷 Shame because the menu looked promising

We’ve got meat treat with extra black olives. We absolutely love it and recommend! Everything was just perfect. We always taking pizza from there. In my opinion, the best one on the Twickenham! Customer service is very poor, I had ordered two large pizzas for £21.99. The staff repeated after I ordered however, I got sent two extra large pizzas for £24.99. When I called the staff member asked he replied why am I making it an issue as it’s just a matter of £3 instead of apologising. For me the issue wasn’t about the money but the food being wasted. It was rude and disrespectful.

Ordered through online app for delivery when I checked order realised it was for collection. I phoned immediately I noticed and was told no problem the pizza will be delivered 15 mins after delivery was due I was phoned and told there would be a delivery charge which I had not known about or agreed to They refused to deliver and kept my money AVOID AVOID AVOID

One of the best pizza places I’ve ever ordered from. Only drawback recently is that their opening times aren’t accurate at all - I’ve turned up to collect a pizza and the shop has been closed :( very disappointed recently, please update opening times! Definitely not open til 1:30am on a Monday.

I ordered 3 pizzas directly through the website and I got my delivery rather quickly. The Pizzas were mouth watering. Especially the double pepperoni pizza.

Group of friends arrived to buy pizza and sides. Took order and charged credit card. Turns out it was nearly £20 too much. The manager kind of ran away and hid and let someone else deal with our questions and his errors. This took time and effort which it should not have! We then got our food but without the sauces and in some cases with the wrong sauces. Again it seemed like our fault they they got it wrong. The food was acceptable. The experience was disappointing.

Never have I been so disappointed in my life. I think the fact that there was no garlic bread option on the website was a red flag to begin with. The food was cold and the dessert was missing from the order. The base of the pizza was like soggy cardboard. Still haven't received my refund for the missing food despite contacting several times.

On the crusty side to say the least. Not sour dough base and lacks the flavour. Not taking again from here ever again. Very unfortunately decided to try this place before checking reviews!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. The manager is disgusting and has awful customer service. The driver would not deliver to our door and told me to come to his car to collect. He then came to the door and threw it on the floor. The order was wrong when we paid extra. They declined a refund. The manager was disgusting on the phone shouting and so rude.

I love their gluten free vegan option! The ingredients are fresh and pizza is delicious. Staff on the phone are extremely polite and helpful. I’m happy I have this choice in my area.

Owner was so aggressive and abusive I considered calling the police. I ordered pizzas last Tuesday as my husband and I, both middle-aged corona patients, came out of hospital to an empty fridge but so happy to be alive. Called after an hour and told Pizzas on the way, called again later, (now nearly 2 hours after order) and was shocked by the screaming and stream of abuse from the owner who accused me of stealing and lying about not receiving the order. I have still not received the refund I demanded or a single word of apology. Do not buy from this man.

Order placed via Deliveroo for 3 starters and 2 desserts. It got declined, called in order to understand what item/s they couldn't provide and the staff member on the phone said they're not accepting the order because I ordered no pizza, being firm on their "companys' policy"... Which they "already informed deliveroo upon" . Also nothing been advertised anywhere on their website that in order to place an order a pizza MUST be included! Disgusted,.. If this is your way of providing a service, I am happy to say I won't place any order from now on and firmly do not recommend.

Worst experience with any takeaway service I’ve ever experienced. Firstly, I rang the restaurant enquiring about my order since it was late. Then the man on the phone told me I was mistaken and that it had in fact arrived. I told him I’m the only person at the property and no pizza had arrived but he insisted he was right and that I was wrong. I got pretty annoyed, and can you blame me? He told me to knock on my neighbours doors and see who ended up with my pizza. It was past 2am... This is clearly the same man that everyone else seems to be complaining about. What a nasty angry individual. Avoid this place! I certainly will.

3 Pizzas cost £45. I had to change my order to just pepperoni because the guy taking the order was confused about peppers and pepperoni. He said he applied discount and it still was outrageously expensive. You would think the pizzas at that price would be baked or premium. NOPE. Probably worse than bog standard takeaway shop pizza. Rip off.

Ordered online as one of the few pizza joints that offers gluten-free and vegan. Standard thin crust pizza was tasty enough but the soggiest ever, quite hard to eat; the vegan-cheesed pizza was a thin crust of vegan cheese; the gluten-free wasn't the best either. None of the three particularly tasty. We would have done better at a chain pizzeria.

Decent choices of vegan pizza compared to all the brands like dominoes, pizza hut etc. The cheese is decent (much nicer than the papa John's pizza!!) highly recommend!

Some interesting ingedients and mostly okay quality pizza - and it comes pretty quickly too. But now they've stopped their buy-one-get-one-free collection deal they are not competitive. Also, seafood pizza rather salty and Giardenaria pizza extremely bland. Couldn't really recommend it any more.

It was a busy international Rugby after noon. The cafe was open, but there were no staff to be seen at the counter. After lots of coughing and tapping a guy appeared but was more interested in the mobile phone glues to his ear than serving customers. Pizza was okay but undercooked. Supposed to be thin and crispy but was thin and soggy. My pal ordered and paid for a bottle of water which never materialised. It is in an ideal location, however staff need to be more attentive.

Such a horrible experience 😳 Ordered 3 pizzas worth of £50 and they all arrived BURNT! I can make a better one in my oven. Spoke to the manager who said that they were baked at normal temperature and didn't offer any compenastion. So crossed and embarrased in front of my guests!

Lovely pizzas, friendly service. We keep coming back here for the pizza as they are so tasty! We particularly like the thin crust 'Fresco' with feta and basil, but have never had one that I haven't enjoyed!

Review for Village Pizza (Vegan) The options are amazing! All sorts of vegan friendly replacements; bacon, sausage, ham, chicken, pepperoni (if meat replacements are your thing), but they also do more traditional options like Margherita and Hawaiian. All topped with a range of vegan cheeses. If you're looking for an authentic pizza experience, this isn't for you, but to be honest, are you getting a take away for authentic flavours, or for the greasy cheese-y bread we all know and love?! If (like me) you want that delicious, slightly greasy, definitely not good for you and oh-so-moreish vegan pizza, definitely go here! The price is A LOT for 1 person (1 side and the small pizza) came to around £25 with delivery, but it is delicious, and there's nowhere else around that serves the same options (plus delivery is always super quick) so I'd say it's worth it. The pizzas are of good quality.

They sell vegan pizzas with imitate meat, which I can appreciate (even though I am not a vegan). I was disappointed with the general quality and freshness of the vegetables especially given that from my understanding, vegans mainly eat vegetables. Imagine going to a steakhouse and finding low quality beef. Very thin crust that could have been good were it not for the massive quantity and weight of toppings, leaving the pie more flaccid than an old man's nutsack. Overpriced, poorly constructed, bitterly disappointed.

Ordered through the website, which is not the easiest to navigate, I had ordered 2 pizzas with sides and drink, when the order arrived there were no sides/drink and one pizza was incorrect. Phoned them up and the order was fixed very quickly which I am extremely thankful for as I couldn't eat the other pizza! Would order from them again as the pizza was lovely, but will probably not use the website next time.

Myself and my friends was so disgusted by the service we received that i had to let you know... We came in around late evening as Twickenham is a lovely place and getting busy at that time so we decided on village pizza pre drinks. The appalling conditions - dirty when first entered the establishment was awful clear dirt on the floor and tables, a gentleman came to serve us with a weak unenthusiastic smile. As we looked at the small wrinkly menu on the table, he disappeared clearly unhappy we was still looking at the options. As we was hungry we decided we would give the pizza a go...as my friend said she came here at the weekends after drinks and she always gets a friendly female member of staff and nice pizza. So clearly she was embarrassed and appologiesd for her recommendation. we ordered two medium thin crust pizzas. If my friend did not know about the buy one get one free the man serving us wouldn't of mentioned it! So that was £11:99 fortwo. When we wanted to pay by card the man seemed unhappy which i didn't understand so we paid with cash. We waited and heard terrible language or shouting that wasnt English from the staff which would make anyone uncomfortable. we then received what can only be described as a boxed cycle of hot vomit! We left with out a goodbye or thank you,maybe because they could tell the unapproved expressions on our faces. Cheese smelt old and fake. Toppings small,like rubber and the crust wasnt cooked. Just oily cardboard. No flavours what so ever! Just a nasty stuck to the roof of your mouth paste of foul salty goo. Yuck!!! We can safety say we didn't finish and it was put in the bin! Just ghastly! I'm sure even the rats would be offended! DEFIANTLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Village pizza is run by poor management - That needs to address the hygiene and their costumer service. Catering only for the intoxicated after hours. Worst pizza ive ever had the misfortune to have. Stay away from this money grabbing dirty insult to pizza.

Order came through wrong from what was ordered online and complete order not delivered 1st time. Called shop and a not very patient “customer service rep” sent out new pizzas. They were really foul tasting. We had the pepperoni, ham and a vegetable pizza. For all the faults of the local Dominos, we won’t be going back here.

Used to absolutely love this pizza place, they used to be very generous with toppings and the overall taste was fantastic. However my last two visits haven't been good. The pizzas have had no flavour and I feel a little cheated on the toppings that should have been put on. Maybe they've undergone new management, if so go back to the old ways. Gutted I've lost a good take away pizza shop.

Just had a terrible time with them, considering they have been our 'go to' pizza place since moving to Twickenham. Being vegan I ordered a vegan pizza, but my partner ordered a vegetarian pizza, with some toppings altered. However his arrived with Vegan cheese on, and none of the changes he specified. It was cold and not even cooked through, barely edible considering the money just spent on it. Called several different numbers found on Google and website for the phone to just keep ringing with no answer. He's now used their online contact form, but I doubt he'll get a response other than 'sorry for your inconvenience, we'll do better next time' that every single bad review seems to get...in fact I bet I'll get that as a reply to this! Such a shame as it's such a gem to find a pizza place that provides Vegan options, but if they can't provide a service that they propose to offer, then I'm worried how I can trust them to really be giving me a Vegan pizza. Don't offer a service if you can't actually do it and maybe LISTEN to your customers! What a waste of money that we'll probably never get back.

Miserable servers, don't even get a hello or smile just a glum stare waiting for you to start reciting your order. Gone in many a time, regular customer and on one occasion asked if I could just get a few olives in with a side he said no thats for his pizzas when making a £20+ order surely you could spare a few olive bits.... he was acting as if id walked in and asked for it without ordering anything. Other places will give little extras no problem, and one time asked for vegan nuggets instead got actual chicken strips that smelled off. And asked for new vegan piri marinated nuggets on a few occasions, sometimes the servers know what it is and make it no problem, other servers dont have a clue what the shop is even offering aswell as it being on the physical menu, they're clueless they have no idea where it's kept in the store so unable to make it and village pizza then goes without extra potential orders and I go without, ridiculous.

I have placed large orders to cater for office events. Everyone loved the pizza, it was great that vegans and those with dairy intolerance could join in. The Village Pizza team were fab. The orders have always been ready on time and great quality.

Amazing, taste great even at 11pm on a Sunday night. We're forever looking for a nice clean bite to eat and this place definately hit the spot. Thanks really appreciated the friendly chit chat whilst waiting for the food to prepare. Looking forward to our next visit already.

It's such a shame becauae I used to love the pizza from here. The staff here are extremely rude. When my order didn't turn up I called to see what had happened I was told "It's not our problem" and then the manager continued to shout at me and then hung up. Have only bought pizzas from Village Pizza for the last 20 years of living in Twickenham. Good choices and quick deliveries, even when they are busy. They are happy to customise your pizza according to taste and preferences..

worst service to i've ever had from anywhere, i was a customer for about 6 months and i've received the wrong order too many times without an apology or compensation for me to ever order from there again. the drivers are fantastic, management however needs to learn how to run a business.

It's such a shame that I have to leave a one star here but this is all because of such bad customer service. I'm sure their pizzas are great but I didn't even get round to having one. Entered all the details on their own site to order online for him delivery, gave them my credit card details but I had no idea whether my order had gone through or not. Called the local branch who told me nothing was on their system but that I should contact their head office to check... So I asked how to contact them and was told I needed to email them... Bearing in mind I had no idea if a pizza was on its way to me or not, I emailed them and waited ages for a response. An hour later, nothing. I still don't know whether they processed my payment and nobody is able to tell me. So do I order from somewhere else or do I wait? What a disaster of an ordering system.

I had ordered a pizza from home the staff was very nice on the phone the light who took my order within a reasonable time it came within 45 minutes the garlic bread was cold pizza was just luke warm and very very greasy I had to reheat the garlic bread two slices from the pizza and couldn't eat no more than out of grease I got from it was unbelievable my hands was soaking in Greece even the taste of the pizza wasn't after scratch advise anybody's ordering takeaway pizzas etc etc is to read reviews on the particular places that they all die from

Easy money, little care for the clients. Normally you can buy one get one free pizza but their card machine want working and I only had £10, so they could only give me a £7 pizza and offered no sauce. Will not return. For £1 they could have offered something else...not necessarily another pizza but at least a water

As far as I know they're the only pizza place in the area that do a Sausetana pizza with no fewer than four different types of sausage on it. Add spicy sausage to bring that total to 5 and pat yourself on the back. Similarly they do a Cheese Supreme with four cheeses on, to which you can add mozzarella, gorgonzola, parmesan, feta, and request a stuffed crust. All the cheese! Vegan and gluten free options too.

Ordered vegan pizzas twice from this restaurant but the difference between the two leads me to believe I was given real meat and cheese the first time which is completely unacceptable. The second time the driver asked for 18.99 when I had ordered a 15.99 pizza, even showing him my email receipt didn't stop him from making me call the restaurant? Who hung up on me, by the way. All in all, appalling service. Will never use again. If you have an allergy or are vegan/ vegetarian you CANNOT trust this restaurant.

My wife finds the pizza too oily but I've always found it decent value for money compared to the "brand" pizza delivery companies, so I tend to get it when she goes out. However, their delivery drivers can be so rude. They always knock too loudly but today, three or four seconds after knocking the first time, and as I'm about to reach the door, the guy clatters my letterbox open and shut. My poor little 3 year old girl, who was napping on the sofa, nearly jumped out of her skin. A bit of common sense, Driver! You can see I live in the smallest house in Twickenham, I'd hear a knock on the door from my back patio!!! I won't be ordering from them again.
