What an absolute gem. The owners David and Lee are hosts with the most. Beautiful inside very individual and welcoming. The food is super and the cocktails aren't to shabby either . Will definitely be a returning customer. Now we've found this charming wonderful place.

What a fantastic place to stay. So attentive and friendly. Perfect accommodation and facilities. We were staying for the night after a wedding and have to say I was over the moon with the place. They even made alterations to our booking at the last minute so we could take our grandson. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing and the best I have had by far. Well done and we will be back very soon. Five star from start to finish

Fabulous as always! Never disappoints. Now have a new bar menu of grazing food, but still so incredible and fresh. We ordered chicken strips, homemade, no frozen insight. Halloumi fries, pizza and a whole baked cheese. New level bar food. Surroundings are absolutely beautiful and just so homely and chic. Board games at the table are so fun, back to basics but hugely entertaining. Leigh and David are amazing hosts as always! Will come back time and time again. One of our fave places to visit. We camped next door as now have a camper but we have stayed in their beautiful rooms and will again.

Our two night stay was absolutely perfect. We were very well looked after. Lovely breakfast. We certainly recommend this place.

A perfect spot to relax. We stayed overnight in a lovely comfortable room with smart decor. Everything was ideal. The meal in the restaurant was really good, pizza with a nice crispy crust and delightful scampi. They have a well stocked bar with good ales wine and spirits. The chocolate brownie dessert was sublime, and had hot chocolate sauce alongside. The full English was equally good with lots of good local food. Having said all that, the real standout for village limits is the staff. The welcome and service are as good as anywhere we have stayed. We were made to feel valued and welcome. We will be returning … soon

We visited here as we had some events to go too and what a find it was From the moment we were greeted to leaving everything was superb. The room was beautifully decorated with some lovely extras very thoughtfully added.The bed was a dream so comfortable.We had the breakfast included and again everything considered.The only shame was we were only stopping 1 night.!!Deffo will visit again You will not be disappointed.

Very impressive relaxing and comfortable accommodation set on the outskirts of Woodhall Spa. Owners and staff were first class. Lovely meal in pleasant surroundings with nice atmosphere. Family members can't wait to visit again and stay longer. I live in the village so will be back in the next week or so. Thanks Village Limits for a great night.

Wow, what value for money, we stayed over b&b. The room was amazing, very modern but cozy, the heating was on and adjustable. Rather than going into the restaurant for evening meal we ordered it to our room and sat at the dining table. We had breakfast in the morning in the restaurant, plenty of choices. The food was delicious the staff were pleasant, will be recommending this place.

Well, an average visit. Food was average. But the menu is very uninspiring. Table of six with a strange lay out... three down one side, one on the end and two on the other. Starters were ordered and arrived promptly, main course was a long time coming. Ordered two puddings, one of our party tried to order coffee but was told the machine has been switched off. At 8pm? The waitress started then removing glasses and clearing the table. We felt rushed out the door.

We called in on weds 15th November about 7pm, as a part of 4 wanting a table. One of our party went inside to ask if there was any availability, but was advised they were fully booked. I didn’t feel the owner was very friendly or accommodating, and was very blunt. The ladies then went in to ask if we could book a table for tonight, Thurs 16th Nov. (When they went inside there were tables available and they did ask again and was told they were fully booked.) It took a long time to check the bookings for any availability. He offered us 6pm, but felt that this was very begrudgingly and was hoping we would say no. We booked and turned up at 6pm, to an empty restaurant. The restaurant was not full at any time during our visit. We were made to feel very uncomfortable during our meal, as the owner was continuously staring at our table. We felt we rushed for payment and wasn’t given time to discuss. This was such a shame about how we were made to feel, like we weren’t welcome, as the waitress was brilliant and the food was absolutely amazing. We left a generous tip, and felt a thank you or a goodbye would be nice. But we were totally ignored on leaving. We will not be returning.

Had a meal here with friends as we were staying at the Park next door. .First of all the interior is quirky and very immaculate. The bar is filled with many fun lights and ornaments. The grounds and building are kept to an impeccable standard. We were made very welcome by the waitress and she had lots of patience for our many questions. The local beer was delicious and served in the correct glass for the product which always makes rhe beer go down better. The food was very good, we all started with Huge Brie wedges with a home made onion relish. For mains we had a Gammon which was thick and juicy, a perfectly cooked Sirloin steak, and one beer battered fish and chips. We would have added a pudding but we had lots of cake to eat in the caravan. The owner David was really good craic and like the pub he was immaculate we spent quite a long time chatting and he shared lots of local advice. The toilets were absolutely spotless and hoteliers who keep there toilets in good order usually keep the kitchen in good order. I would highly recommend The village limits. The pub had rhe most beautiful remembrance day display in the window. Woodhall Spa is the most beautiful place and this pub is perfectly suited to its geographical location. Excellent all round. Stayed 1 night b&b and had an evening meal. Very comfortable bed and great room. Service was extremely good and the food was lovely too. Very good value for money - we'll be back!

Enjoyed an evening meal here as a family of four while on holiday at the lodge park next door, and would highly recommend Village Limits. Great service, great food and drink, great atmosphere! Would definitely return next time we holiday in the area again. 😁

This is my second time staying here,this place is amazing,we stayed in the suite.The bed was so comfy with lovely soft pillows.Room was spotlessly ckean,loved the little extras.Ate in the restaurant,good good quality as was the breakfastYoh can see why they won four in the bed .The owners are so friendly and take the time to speak to you.Can’t wait to go back

Great visit for our dad's 70th birthday meal, staff are attentive and friendly, food is delicious and portion sizes are huge! Made for a really enjoyable evening, will be back when we're in the area.

Amazing place!! Family trip for 70th birthday for my dad staying at Woodlakes we had emailed ahead as there was 9 of us and 2 dogs, kindly offered decorations and cake, food was amazing everyone was very impressed by their meals.Service was first class lovely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will all be back 100%

If you’re looking for a great Sunday lunch, VL is your place. Great homemade food and good menu choice. We ordered sausage and mash. Mixed meat Sunday lunch and Lemon and herb crusted salmon. All were tasty and good portion sizes. We always enjoy visiting. The owners and staff are really friendly.

We had a family gathering due having my father's wake at the venue - we also stayed in a room . The room was air conditioned and luxurious- highly cleaned and comfortable with high end furnishings. The food for the function was the best buffet we have ever had. We also had a family meal in the evening which was amazing.the service was also incredible and we can't wait to visit again .thanks to all at the village limits

We called in for a meal on the off chance as we were staying at the Country Park next door. The notice outside stated they were full inside. We enquired if we could still order food and eat outside. The young lady was very friendly and she went to find out. We sat at one of the outside tables and it was around the same time that the wind picked up. When the waitress came out we asked if we could have a meal as a take away due to the dark clouds and strong winds. She took our drinks order and then the landlord came out. He explained he had a table in the bar area if that was ok. It was. The food was incredible. The service was excellent. The staff were all very friendly. Everyone went above and beyond and were very accommodating. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and delicious meal. First class.

We called in on the off chance of being able to get a table, the owners couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The menu is very varied and the food was excellent, served by very attentive staff and nothing was too much trouble. We were obliged to arrive very late for our allotted table's time slot but the staff took this in their stride and still accommodated us without any fuss or complaint. Service was first class, friendly but efficient. The food was excellent, beautifully cooked with generous portions and not expensive for the quality plus there was a nice atmosphere in the place with some music which was good to have but not obtrusive. Covid restrictions were observed of course. All in all a great meal and we will definitely go back. What a huge difference to the last review I wrote on another establishment. Great to go somewhere where they value their customers and want to see them return. In short, brilliant.

We booked here whilst staying at the near by Woodall Country Park Lodges, booked online, they rang us Sunday morning to advise us of the covid seating setup and were we happy to risk the weather etc, they moved our booking forward an hour to miss the rain that had been forecast. Great menu and fantastic food, service was 100%, ordering and paying on the app was really easy. The rain stayed away, we were made welcome to stay and enjoy a few drinks after our meal, nothing was a problem.Thankyou !

Had a click and collect fish and chips meal from the village limits and it was beautiful, the fish was fresh and white and it was all cooked perfect , the click and collect service worked so well, well done to the owner and his team it was thoroughly enjoyed ...

We spent 2 evenings at Village Limits, one for drinks and we had booked a table to eat the 2nd evening. Our dog was made very welcome with treats and water on our arrival and the service we received was great. The staff are all very friendly and the food was delicious. We had the trio of pies and the gins and Guinness were lovely too. Every where was clean and safe, temperature checks on arrival, masks were worn and table service, they couldn't have done any more to make our visit more pleasant. We would definitely recommend and will be returning. Thankyou

First visit with new owners and very impressed on many levels.Cozy clean restaurant in country location.Felt very safe , COVID Compliant and lots of attention to detail missing in other restaurants we have visited. Varied menu, we had a meat choice and vegetarian choice, both excellent followed by a delicious fruit crumble and custard. Food is of a high standard as is the service from staff. Would definitely recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful lunch today celebrating our good friend's 80th birthday with fantastic food and excellent service. COVID compliant with temperature taken on arrival and all tables sanitised before use. My wife and I shared a starter of breaded brie and caramelised red onion marmalade, which was very tasty (and gooey!). My wife had the Lincoln Red beef lasagne which was fabulous she said and I treated myself to the trio of mini pies - Lincoln Red steak, chicken and mushroom and goats cheese and sweet potato which was absolutely wonderful, with home cooked chips and peas and two mini jugs of gravy - but it was very filling! For dessert my wife and I shared a lovely apple and blackberry crumble with custard which just about finished us off! The service was really excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Thanks again David and Leigh - we'll be back!

Having visited four times now since the new owners, I would admit to the Village Limits being our new regular. As would our dog because there is a dog friendly section, separate from the main restaurant area for those who don’t like dogs, and it’s a boon for owners and visitors on holiday alike and in the same vein as eateries in the Lake District and other touristy areas - so Lincolnshire CAN move with the times! Food is reasonably priced and tasty. Proper thin pastry pies (not casseroles with pastry lids!), pizzas, favourites such as fish and chips, good quality meat burgers as well as a veggie halloumi alternative are some of the mains listed on a menu with enough choice for a dozen or more visits. They’ve got the COVID precautions right - masks if not at tables, temperature check on entry, and you’re encouraged to use the track and trace app. The seating is comfortable, the tables roomy, and the warm orange decor a refreshing change. Staff are friendly and efficient and the online booking is easy. It’s popular and books up quickly. Thanks again for the dog treats and water.

Last minute change of plans meant a quick call to see if they could squeeze us is. Even though they stop food at 2, they went out of there way to accommodate us after this time.Food was very good and service could not be faulted. Would recommend the pies and the guest ale. Staying at Woodall Country Park Caravan site and this pub is minutes away. Both our meals were perfect, everything cooked to perfection. Beer and wine also good quality and good value. The waitress was lovely and friendly and you can tell they are taking good covid measures. Very lovely evening thank you. Will definitely be back.

This is a must if you are visiting Woodhall spa. Food was great we had Sunday lunch and a cheeky desert . The staff were very attentive but not intrusive. The whole place was spotlessly clean. A great choice of wines not the big standard ones. And for those that take out your little fur balls with you, we booked in the bar and our dog was as welcome as us there were treats and water just waiting for her. Such a special touch. We will be back here again and again. Simple booking on line shows you their availability.

We are staying at the Woodhall Country park and was recommended to the village limits as it’s really near by, unfortunately we were really disappointed with our one meal out that we pre planned. The whole place had a weird vibe, orange walls as you walk in and strange staff behind the bar who seem to stare at you whilst you are eating.1. The “crispy” chilli beef couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s more like soggy chilli beef, even when we sent it back it came out and was completely rubbery 2. over charged us at the end on the bill - this was questioned and resolved though3. The batter on the chicken, fish and onion rings was clearly cooked in the same pan as it all tasted fishy Overall, if your looking for a nice meal out I would not go here. Deffo will NOT be returning.

Decided to stop off for a drink and while there sample a few starters for a light lunch what a great pub food fresh and very tasty ! COVID safe without effecting the experience and dog friendly making this a great bonus on our wood walks nearby thanks guys real find !

Great for eating in staff attentive and friendly but as the nights are drawing we absolutely love the take away options available we ordered the stone baked pizza with a side of onion rings wow what a tasty and enjoyable meal , fresh and cooked to order . Online ordering easy to do and love the time slot options for collection as always great all round !

popped in for lunch with the wife while staying locally and was appalled to see not only a total disregard for social distancing measures but also several dogs in the restaurant !!!! Whilst visiting Woodhall spa and surrounding areas, my partner and I stopped here for lunch, Wowwwwww, what a delight, the food was EXCELLENT and freshly cooked to order and the place was spotlessly clean, restrictions were in place for covid 19 and the owners were very welcoming especially for pet owners, We are not pet owners but it was lovely to see that they do not discriminate against people who love their pets and they have rooms available that are pet friendly, We are planning to go back there and have an overnight stay in the very near future, Keep up the FANTASTIC work and look forward to seeing you soon 10/10

What a fantastic evening out in these weird days of not going out much. COVID safety very high on the agenda with these guys, sensible and friendly but strict, as it needs to be. The service was excellent, well trained and attentive staff and the meal was first class. New additions to the menu, clearly with lots of thought. A thoroughly enjoyable evening thank you, we will be back very soon.

Have not been to this restaurant for quite a few years & we were all surprised at the lovely relaxed atmosphere & beautiful food.4 of us had the haddock, chips & mushy peas which was delicious. Portions were more than ample with only my son managing to finish it all.My husband really enjoyed the lasagne with chips & cleared his plate too.Reluctantly we all had desserts, but no one regretted it sampling the sticky toffee pudding which was divine, chocolate brownie, ice cream sundaes & plain ice cream.All were delicious & we were impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant & the friendly efficient staff. We didn't feel rushed, but considering we dined on a Wednesday evening it was good to see most of the tables were taken.We were very impressed with Covid precautions & we all felt safe whilst dining here & everywhere was spotlessly clean.Will probably book a Sunday lunch next time in the very near future.Prices were very good too & definitely value for money.

Back again !! this time with different management, didn’t disappoint .. food was gorgeous, homemade, pub grub .. My steak was cooked to perfection (which hardly ever happens )... Staff were really lovely greeted at the door (remember your mask) and your temperature taken all very professional ... See you soon we’ll definitely be back .

What a fantastic find. I booked a table for lunchtime as I was struggling to find somewhere that allowed dogs. This place was spot on. It was clean and they are very COVID aware. Check in, masks to be worn apart from when sat at the table. Temperature taken when entering the pub. They were more than accommodating, the food was home made and delicious, they allowed me to have a child’s portion that was more than enough. We had a 2 year old and they willingly boxed up the remainder of her meal to take away. Fish and chips were fresh and enormous!! To top it off even the dog got a bowl of treats and they put a bowl of water out for her. Definitely be back if in this neck of the woods again!!

We visited the Village Limits restaurant on a trip to see family who live in Spilsby. Excellent lunch, good menu, friendly/helpful service, sensible prices. What more can you ask ! (As far as we could see the staff were following all the relevant Covid guidelines).

I'd made a passing remark on a Woodhall Spa Facebook page that my wife and I had a table booked to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The manager of the Village Limits picked it up and we found a congratulations balloon waiting for us on our table. Such a lovely little touch and very appreciated. A warm welcome upon arrival from the staff, we were quickly shown to our table. There is a great choice on the menu, reasonably priced and good sized portions. I had the steak and my wife the gammon, both were delicious. The restaurant is right next door to the campsite we use, based on this visit we will definitely be back.

The Village Limits was bought by the current owners during lockdown. They have spent a lot of money on refurbishment and it looks amazing.They currently have a limited menu which is reasonably priced, all 4 of us really enjoyed the food we chose. The front of house was really bubbly and friendly and made us really welcome.Next time we are in the area we will be back Good luck to them for the future.

On holiday in the area and booked a meal in the Village Limits. Often places say dog friendly and your put in a corner well not here... Our dogs were made to feel welcome with cuddles and treats when we walked thru the door. The only way to describe our food was Amazing... Best we've had in a very long time. Staff were welcoming and friendly we couldn't have wished for more.

The pub is looking lovely , it is spotlessly clean and all social distancing is being observed so you don’t feel nervous. The food was absolutely delicious. We were a group of 5 adults booked for Friday evening and also Sunday lunch. Really warm welcome, cheerful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Swift service, food to a very good standard. Wished we could have booked for Saturday as well! Sunday lunch plentiful and deserts to die for. All round 10/10.

Came to Woodhall Spa last year and had a fab meal at Village Limits, learnt earlier this year it had shutdown and was changing owners. So glad it reopened before our visit as wanted to have a meal there for my birthday. Food, hospitality and ambience was wonderful, Lee and David are wonderful hosts and their staff are all so friendly. Food was great, so we decided to go back 2 days later for lunch, food again was exceptional. Thank you Village Limits for two wonderful meals, highly recommend

As this has recently opened again under new ownership we decided to pay a visit for Sunday Lunch. We had the 2 courses which was reasonably priced at £12.95 and wasn't disappointed. Lovely Brie Wedges to start and a full Roast Beef dinner to follow. Lovely meal and we will return in the future to sample the weekday menu.

We were so impressed with the new management at the village limits. Food was spot on, a warm welcome given to the children with ice creams and the house red wine exceeded expectations.

We ate here on Saturday night as a party of 7. We were very well looked after. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, one of our party is vegetarian and found lots to choose from. We choose a very tasty sauvignon blanc to accompany our meal. Our food was absolutely delicious and well presented. We could not fault the whole experience. Thankyou to Billy the owner and his team for making our evening so lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal at this hidden gem just outside of Woodhall. It was our second time here.Tucked away it has a homely and warm feel.The menu offered lots of choice and varies between the traditional offering and something different.I had the haggis Bon bon for starters and venison sausage casserole for main. Both were cooked excellent and were full of flavour.There is a staggering choice when it comes to pudding and the baileys chocolate cheesecake was a wise choice.Definitely worth a visit.

I was one of four celebrating a lady's birthday at Village Limits and i was very impressed with the illuminated ambiance at night and the friendly, helpful service from the hard-working waitresses on a Saturday night.We chose various mushroom-based starters which went down a treat and the main courses were particularly generous and satisfying: namely the steak, ale & mushroom pie which was cooked to perfection, the chargrilled chicken and the special pork with prunes dish.The sweets looked especially tempting and we indulged in a wonderful white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake with cream/ice cream and a good old-fashioned bread and butter pudding.We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing evening, though the restaurant heating could be improved a tad, as the bar area was quite warm by comparison.

Had a fabulous Christmas lunch on Friday 6th December, large helping of Roast Turkey and all the trimmings and Christmas pudding and brandy sauce followed by coffee or two if you like, lovely friendly helpful staff, can’t do enough for you.Lovely pub surroundings would definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back in the New Year.Thanks Again

I would recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting or living in the area. The service is always fantastic and the food is superb. We had a great family meal here. The food was cooked fresh to order so not very quick, but definitely worth the wait. We had a variety of meals including burgers, fish & chips, chicken & pepper sauce & the special of chicken stuffed with haggis. We all agreed it was delicious & plentiful. No one had space for dessert. The drinks selection was good except for Guinness in a can. There was a wonderful selection of gin, including some local brands. We would definitely return & certainly recommend.

Well worth a visit. We had been to the fabulous Kinema in the Woods and The Village Limits found us a table on a busy day. The service was superb and the meal was excellent - very well cooked and great choice. Would definitely recommend as it is relaxing, comfortable and very good value for money.

We had an evening meal here for 4 people and it was beautiful. I had seafood bake and the lime mouse dessert. 10/10.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Very traditional but nice inside.

We booked a table at 6.30 and they were already full and just managed to squeeze us in. The food is obviously cooked to order and, being a very busy Saturday night, the food was a long time coming out to us. But the staff were lovely and very apologetic and the food was well worth the wait. Delicious! The battered brie was disappointing as it was oily with too much batter (breadcrumbs would have been nicer) but the seafood bake, sea bass and pulled beef were delicious. Our youngest daughter had the chicken goujons and they were obviously home-made with great quality chicken. All locally sourced produce cooked well. And it is walking distance from the campsite without having to walk on the road which meant a very exciting walk back with torches. A great evening.

Sadly I don't think Woodhall Spa is the place to go for a gastronomic experience, and we chose Village Limits over Petwood Hotel because of the Trip Advisor reviews. Bottom line is, it's an OK pub, serving OK pub food. But the staff there were delightful and I know they mean well. My salad, which was an attempt on a panzanella just didn't work - the bread was the same that they served n a bread basket - soft - not lovely crispy chunks of sourdough. Sadly we opted for a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was served warm - we didn't have the heart to send it back, but when paying the bill we did suggest that it should have been chilled. The lovely lady behind the bar, did then admit that she knew it hadn't come form the fridge - such a shame she didn't mention this before serving! Three of us opted for chips - two were having steak as a main course - you ave never seen such an enormous bowl of chips - it really was very funny - but just totally lacked any style.

Loved the spelling of "not grate" and "stake pie" that aside we visited lSt night.

On Bank Holiday Monday night, we arrived about 6:30 and not many people. By 7 pm, packed but the service just calmly flowed.

We are on holiday in jubilee park and this pub/ motel was recommended by a regular holidaymaker to our site. Lovely warm greetings from Billy the owner, I enjoyed a pint of the local ale, and tried my first haggis bon bons for starters. The pulled steak with haggis crumble was delicious and so was the special trout dish. Well maintained premises, and look forward to returning.

Without doubt the best steak and ale pie I have ever eaten. Fab u lous ! Discovered this pub almost by accident, but we were so impressed we went back the following evening. Wonderful food, really friendly staff. Seriously (not really) considered moving to Lincoln so we could make it our local. Cannot speak too highly of our experience there.

My wife and I were in Minting for a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary,we thought we would go out for a special meal,the first two restaurants were both closed so we finally found The Village limits,what can I say?We were both so glad our first two choices were closed as the food here was delicious! We both had the rib eye,the service was fast and the staff polite and friendly. The desserts were also delicious,we had a couple of drinks and when we got the bill we were pleasantly surprised at the value for money we felt we had got. All in all a very pleasant way to spend our anniversary and I would highly recommend The village limits to anyone wishing to book a meal while in the area.

5/5 stars definitely! Catered for 15 people (including baby) , very family friendly and handled 2 birthday cakes and 26 meals very well. Definitely will be returning!

This was a last minute first visit, although other family members have visited the Village Limits before. It was very busy and just about every table was booked, although they did manage to accommodate us at a table in the bar area. We all chose the fish and chips and the food came very quickly. The food was superb and there was loads of it. Far too nice to leave so we persevered and eventually got there! Bar staff are very friendly and work hard to keep their customers happy. Can highly recommend a visit but also that you book ahead, especially in the summer season.

nice little pub, great food, outside eating area will take my dog next time. i had the steak, ale pie and it was excellent, potatoes and veg come in little dishes to help yourselves

Stayed here whilst on a golf weekend at Woodhall Spa. It’s a popular country pub and restaurant just outside the town. Several twin guest bedrooms are off to one side of the pub in an L shape. Functional room with bath and shower, WiFi and TV so all you need! Good breakfast and dinner made this for an enjoyable stay made better by the hosts who went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. A solid recommend.

What a wonderful find, so glad we happened to come across it on a day out, booked our evening meal there and then. Will certainly be going back.

Me and my husband came away to woodhall spa country park for our 1 year wedding anniversary and decided to go out for lunch. This has got to be one of the friendliest pups/restaurants we have ever been to. The lady behind the bar was lovely and made us feel so welcome and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back next time we are in town. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Family Father’s Day meal. Excellent service and the food was fantastic. Being the only vegan in the party I was very impressed at the food. Nothing was too much. Highly recommend it! I got a vegan dessert!

Great food, great service, friendly staff, traditional old style pub feel but with modern menu. I didn’t see vegan choices on the menu but I did overhear the staff explaining the choices to another customer so probably worth asking. I would recommend highly.
