Village Brasserie in Manchester

Cenamos el sábado 15 de marzo como regalo de cumpleaños para mi esposa. Perfecto para parejas o grupos íntimos pequeños. Ambiente romántico con una decoración muy agradable. La comida era absolutamente encantadora, de alta calidad y muy llena! Nuestro camarero Ferdinard era fantástico, él era educado, atento y simplemente en el lugar! Tuvimos la mejor noche, muchas gracias!

Antes de una noche en la calle del canal decidimos visitar el restaurante. Habiendo sido recibidos nos quedamos 20 minutos sin siquiera una bebida. Tuvimos que alertar a la camarera para que nos atendieran. Preocupados por la espera, pedimos bebidas y comida de una sola vez. El salmón era básicamente piel en patatas con salmón en la parte superior. ¡Cero atractivo y el tamaño de la porción de un niño pequeño! ¡El bourguignon de carne era mejor para ser honesto! La camarera preguntó si todo estaba bien y mi respuesta fue erm “¡Supongo que sí!” (culpa mía, pero me habría comido la mesa en este punto, ya que nos moríamos de hambre). De nuevo agitando los dedos a la camarera nos consiguió otra bebida. Más movimiento de los dedos finalmente nos consiguió el menú de postres que se sirvió como tarta de queso, entonces 5 minutos después el helado que debería haber estado en el mismo plato! (más helado que helado para ser honesto! ) dejamos claro que definitivamente no estábamos contentos, pero la camarera simplemente nos ignoró. Cuando pedimos la cuenta, la camarera de repente encontró su capacidad de moverse y como por arte de magia apareció bien en 2 minutos! ¡Increíble! Pedimos hablar con el gerente, pero nos dijeron que la única persona disponible era un supervisor de bar. Habiendo hablado con él, le aconsejó que no había nada que pudiera hacer y se fue. Pagamos en efectivo y cuando nadie había vuelto a la mesa a recogerlo en 10 minutos dejamos el efectivo en la mesa y caminamos hacia las escaleras. ¡4 pasos arriba y el gerente del bar gritaba señoras vuelvan y siéntense! ¡Absolutamente horrorizados gritamos que el dinero estaba sobre la mesa! ¿Cuánto tiempo esperan que esperes sin ningún servicio? Estábamos absolutamente horrorizados con toda la experiencia y salimos molestos y todavía muy hambrientos!

Llegamos aquí un domingo alrededor de las 17: 30 haber reservado una mesa como parte de una experiencia virgen. A la llegada el lugar parecía encantador. Muy muy tranquilo pero atractivo a la vista. El personal estaba con nosotros de inmediato y respondió a todas nuestras preguntas y nos tenía sentados rápidamente. Las 2 funcionarias eran geniales e hicieron que se sienta cómodo y bienvenido. Tuvimos una oferta de comida de domingo de 3 platos a través de Virgin. Opté por cerdos en mantas y pescado con papas fritas. La Sra. optó por cerdos en mantas y la cena de pollo asado. Tuvimos una botella de vino blanco y un sexo en la playa. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran mediocres, pantano estándar pub pescado con patatas fritas. La cena de pollo asado estaba por debajo del estándar. Todo sabía a comida congelada. El pudín de Yorkshire estaba enorme pero frío para cuando llegó. En general no volveríamos. Esto no es reflejo en el personal que era fantástico, pero decepcionado por el estándar de comida que se ofrece. La factura que pagamos fue de £ 9. 95 por el cóctel y 50 libras por la oferta de comida Ahorra dinero y ve a un carvery.

Gran comida, servicio y ambiente, sin duda recomendaría los kebabs de pollo colgantes, perfectamente especiados y cocinados

¡Visitamos hoy con mi hijo y mi hija! Pedimos el pollo tikka kebab. ¡Fue horrible! El pollo era duro y masticable, el pan nan que lo acompañaba se secó y se astilló tratando de cortarlo. Nos atendió una camarera hosca que tenía muy malas habilidades interpersonales. Tratamos de comprometernos con ella en vano. Tomamos 2 cócteles y una copa de vino tinto. Los cócteles eran excelentes, la media del vino . Yo no volvería. La factura llegó a poco menos de £ 99 con £ 9 cargo por servicio

Solo 2a vez comiendo aquí, tenía filete de solomillo, muy masticable, no se le ofreció una opción de salsa, (en parte mi culpa, ya que me di cuenta de que venía con una salsa) pero pensé que al menos se les sugirió que podría gustar uno, por casi £ 30 plato con algunas patatas fritas y dos tomates pequeños no parecía muy buen 'valor' , parecía más algo Witherspoon's podría haber servido

Love this place and have been coming for years, probably 20 years. Saturday night bought cocktails 2 for £14 on the offer. Went for the second round within the timeframe and was changed £42 for 4. When queried I was told “we stopped because we got busy”. Which is a joke as I’ve been in and it’s been busier and the signs are still all over the bar.

Found this place while staying in Manchester. Lovely atmosphere, great food and fabulous service from Mason all at a very reasonable price.

Had a fabulous meal at Velvet. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Mason was very charming, polite and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

Paul the bar tender. Made our visit even more memorable. Great guy. Good sense of humour! & severed the best pornstar Martini's around! We visited on the Friday & purposely returned on the Saturday to repeat our fabulous experience & Paul was on shift again. Highly recommend this place & cannot wait to return again!!
