Dukes 92 in Manchester

The Smashed burger was OK, nothing special. This came with skinny fries, looked like Lidl frozen fries. My partner had the chicken hanging kebab. She said this was very nice. The real downside was the state of the glasses. The two on our table were so dirty that you couldn't see through them. Went to change them with two from another table and they were just as bad. Got a waitress to get fresh cleaned glasses. Couldn't fault the service though.

Friendly staff, good food and drinks.

The bar was ravingggg it was so packed so meant it was super loud for those just coming for a meal. It seems to be great for drinks and I wouldn’t exactly advise going on a saturday for a casual meal due to how loud it gets, alas still beautiful venue and beautiful sunset.

Fantastic food as always, but service getting slower

Me and my partner have been visiting dukes 92 for many years and on our most recent visit we we very disappointed to say the least. My partner has always enjoyed the San Miguel as he said it was always a good pint however when we visited they have now taken off the San Miguel and now replaced it with birra Moretti which is not a lager my partner enjoys. It's never been the cheapest to drink their but they have now increased the prices. They need to realise their is a cost of living crisis and by increasing their prices by a lot they are risking losing business. We will now be finding somewhere else to drink as nearly £20 for 2 drinks is diabolical

Where to even begin… If I could give 0 stars I would! After going to use the restroom upon arrival, whilst my friend went to the bar, the bar man asked her “has she gone to top up her makeup to impress the drug dealers outside”. This was quite out of the blue, unnecessary, and caught my friend off guard. He was incredibly rude and judgemental for no apparent reason, will not be visiting again that’s for sure! If anyone wants any bar suggestions with lovely staff, go over the road and visit Barca :).

Went for lunch with elderly parents. No greeting in restaurant with 1 table of 2 people occupied. Waited at the waiting here to be seated sign, gave up and sat at a table . 3 members of staff doing nothing. Ordered drinks at the bar, couldn't put them on a table, tried to pay cash, card only. Ordered food via an app which was brought out by a human to my suprise! Plates never cleared no drinks offered no service received. Food was actually quite good. May as well been at a vending machine Shame on you, hospitality does not reside here.

I arrived at Dukes 92 at around 11:10 AM and parked in the car park intending to work for a few hours on my laptop. As I parked, I noticed people sitting at tables inside the restaurant who appeared to be looking out of the window at me. When I walked into the venue and approached the bar, there didn’t seem to be anyone serving. I asked one of the staff what time they opened, and he informed me that they opened at 11:30 AM for drinks and 12:00 PM for food. I decided to take a walk and return later. When I returned, there were people sitting outside and a few standing around inside. Nobody said hello as I entered. I decided to sit at a table and order through the QR code, as I have done many times before. After scanning the QR code, I noticed that no hot drinks were available. Wanting to double-check if this was a fault with the system or if they were genuinely not serving hot drinks, I decided to approach the bar. Before doing so, I quickly entered my car registration number into the parking machine to avoid any penalties. As I approached the bar, I noticed a man and a woman who appeared to be part of the management team — they had been present earlier when I arrived. I stood at the bar waiting to be served, but no one came over. The two “managers” continued to glance over at me and then look away, making no effort to assist. After waiting for several minutes and feeling increasingly uncomfortable, I decided I was clearly not welcome and left the venue. As I returned to my car, I noticed the same two “managers” staring out of the window at me once again. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I felt unwelcome and ignored, and sadly, I left without ever being served.

caesar salad, wings & fries were fab. satisfied my craving for a girl dinner food came out quickly and atmosphere was good. can’t really complain

Excellent food, prices, and service. So good I may go back during my 5 day stay in Manchester. Highly recommend

Attended a “leaving party” here for a colleague. Venue has multiple rooms to cater for size of group. Handy for tram to help folk get home. Card only at the bar.

The outdoor seating is fantastic on a sunny day, a lively atmosphere. The food is acceptable, though not the main attraction. It's a popular spot, especially when the weather is good, so be prepared for a crowd.

Great place for drinks and food. Prices have noticeably increased over the last year. Good choice of menu and a good range of drinks. Plenty of seating indoor with an array of overhead heaters and outdoor. Can be extremely busy at weekends. Not fully staffed at times. Limited parking but parking available close by. Gets very busy at Christmas and New Year.

Very warm welcome by attentive staff . Food came very quickly . Average size menu . Venue is spotless and extremely modern . Food is fresh and well portioned . Very nice bread . Dips and dressings are delicious . Chunky chips are fabulous . Wine list is extremely good .

Served promptly, reasonably priced Carlsberg and very nice outside area.

Mice place, clean and well presented, I visited on a Sunday lunch time for a drink with a friend, it was quiet so we could converse, as we last a guy was setting up to play live music with his guitar, my one quibble would be that they did not accept cash, one could only pay by card,

Nice canal side location. Food was average but expensive for what it is and better options in the area are available. Menu and table we got were sticky. Has the potential to be great but lacking the finesse you’d expect for the price.

Lovely place with a nice kitchen. We ordered the chicken kebab (fantastic), ramen with prawns (fantastic), sticky tofu pudding (fantastic), and profiteroles (a complete disappointment).

Went here for drinks and food as part of birthday celebrations. Our party has food allergies and the staff were really helpful. The bar staff also made us our favourite cocktails even though they weren't on the menu. Great experience

I am not rating the food as I did not eat there. Spent New Year's Eve there. Nice atmosphere. I enjoyed the music.

Poor choice of draught beers, just the generic lagers at inflated prices. Food was very average also over priced. Wouldn't recommend

Came here for lunch with some customers. I arrived early and the staff were happy for me to sit down and do some work with free wifi and a place to plug my charger in before the others arrived. The food was good and portion sizes were generous.

We've had 3 works parties here and they have all been really good. There's normally around 25 people and they look after us really well. Service is great and the food from the set menus are really good and the drinks keep on coming.

Avoid. Perhaps I would have had a better experience if I came in Spring?.. Staff seemed rushed. Management seemed busy doing very little. The food was practically thrown at us unfortunately. My entire dinner was congealed and cold. I left feeling like the high price we paid for our staff dinner wasn’t worth the pretty penny that we parted with.

Seems to be suffering. Portion sizes are down, as well as quality. I hope things pick up, it used to be much better.

We had dinner and drinks, drinks were lovely but would never eat here again, chicken burger was solid (they took this off the bill) chips were cold and soggy, the only decent thing was the pizza one of us had. Wouldn’t recommend for food, just drinks.

Fabulous bar in a great location. Twinned with Alberts Shed next door and you have a really good drinks/food option that was perfect for our large party of 10. Loved Dukes- really friendly & accommodating front-of-house; lovely bar staff, great drinks, great fun. Beautiful too. We loved it.

The place has zero atmosphere, but it might be different if it was a lot busier. But the food, service and staff are so outstanding I would highly recommend this place.

Great place, arrived early for booked table and was accommodated easily, attentive and friendly staff, food was lovely and arrived quickly, mixture of small plates. Great vibe, can normally get very noisy but was late afternoon / early evening so perfect atmosphere.

This is a place to be on a sunny day or if you like canals and drinks. Lovely, very large outdoor place for gatherings. Located just off Deansgate/ Hilton side. The whole area is with a discovery.

Very nice location next to the canal, very good service, everyone very friendly, modern and elegant decoration, the food also modern and with quite a variety, we had the Sunday roast and it was very delicious.

The staff were nice but we had to call them to order, then to clear table for deserts and then for the bill. Clearly not enough staff

I celebrated my graduation last night with my family, it was such a lovely night! The staff were friendly and I was able to spend time with my family without being rushed to get out

Nice atmosphere however no vegan options and very limited food options. There was a DJ that night playing music, definitely will come again.

Came here on a mid-week work function. We had the upstairs bar and terrace. Was a great space. Decent food and good service. Would have preferred a less generic choice of beer, but overall and enjoyable event.

We had a family meal every one enjoyed their meal including a vegetarian option which sometimes can be hit and miss

A pleasant bar / restaurant near Castlefield. Food was “ok” but nothing special. Burgers appeared a bit dry for my liking. Drinks were great and service was very good. Would return but not especially for the food.

We were a Family of 5 eating here on Sunday. 3 roast dinners,2 beef and 1 chicken. (We ordered extra roasties )All delicious. And chicken wings and pizza for the other 2. Again good. Also enjoy coming here for just drinks 🍺 n a Saturday mostly. Dukes always has a lovely atmosphere whenever you come and staff are always friendly. X

The rude staff who served us ruined the whole experience. The food was good. We both didn’t have battery on our phone so couldn’t use the app to order- the member of staff rudely stated ‘well I can’t help you with that’ and walked off. We was left non the wiser and unsure what was the issue. If she’d have explained we could order at the bar then that would have helped! Clearly shouldn’t be working in the hospitality industry if you can’t deliver to the customer. I’ll not be returning which is a shame as the food was nice and dukes is a great place. The member of staff totally ruined our Sunday lunch.

Whether odering a cup of tea, cider or proseco staff are brilliant, bar is clean and welcoming . Love this place.

The atmosphere is nicely decorated. But the salad was bland and I have nicer salads. The out door area is lovely but the food didn’t excite. I might need to try something else when I come back. Not enough dressing. No flavour or seasoning in the chicken.

Spent a lovely lazy afternoon in Dukes, meeting up with a gang of friends for lunch. It`s such a lovely venue when the weather is nice, with the large outdoor seating area and the laid back atmosphere of the place. The staff were all lovely and the service was spot. The food is quite simple, but all of it was nice and well priced considering how expensive eating out is now. A perfect afternoon.

I visited Dukes last week with a big party, from the second we walked through the door we felt extremely welcomed. It’s beautifully decorated throughout the restaurant and our server was very kind attentive. I got dynamite prawns and the goats cheese salad both were delicious and reasonably priced. My bill came to £38 with 3 cocktails which is just great for value given the quality of everything. One thing I will add is drinks did take a while which is completely understandable given our party size and the restaurant being as big as it is. I have absolutely 0 complaints and Dukes well exceeded my expectations, I will definitely be back again.

Jen and Mauriuo really looked after us whilst eating out. Jen's knowledge of vegetarian/vegan food was really helpful fo me. My husband loved his meat burger. The setting and atmosphere was lovely. Prosecco on arrival was a real nice touch to help us celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely go again and take the family next time.

A stylish restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester. The terrace seats along the canal are also nice. It was expensive, but the content was worth the price.

Absolutely superb location, great vibe / atmosphere, and friendly staff. Unfortunately the cocktails we ordered were overly sweet and the food underwhelming, limp undercooked fries which were overly salted and a hot sandwich that was not worth the price tag at all we were really disappointed, we’ll go elsewhere for food in future but return for drinks just in case the bartender was just having a bad day when we visited!

We had the korean burger and steak sandwich fries onion rings.. absolutely outstanding. Xx

We actually went to Dukes to enjoy the pate and cheese board which we always enjoy as a treat but unfortunately it was no longer on the menu which was very disappointing We had a couple of sharers which were nice but not great value

I order the plant based burger. It was lovely but the burger was a little dry.
