Great place for drinks and food. Prices are reasonable. Good choice of menu and a good range of drinks. Plenty of seating indoor with an array of overhead heaters and outdoor. Can be extremely busy at weekends. Not fully staffed at times. Limited parking but parking available close by. Gets very busy at Christmas and New Year.

Lovely music; lovely seating area and food. The people serving looked like they didn’t want to be there but it’s a Sunday so hey ho I’d still give it an overall 4/5

Great place, arrived early for booked table and was accommodated easily, attentive and friendly staff, food was lovely and arrived quickly, mixture of small plates. Great vibe, can normally get very noisy but was late afternoon / early evening so perfect atmosphere.

This is a place to be on a sunny day or if you like canals and drinks. Lovely, very large outdoor place for gatherings. Located just off Deansgate/ Hilton side. The whole area is with a discovery.

Very nice location next to the canal, very good service, everyone very friendly, modern and elegant decoration, the food also modern and with quite a variety, we had the Sunday roast and it was very delicious.

The staff were nice but we had to call them to order, then to clear table for deserts and then for the bill. Clearly not enough staff

I celebrated my graduation last night with my family, it was such a lovely night! The staff were friendly and I was able to spend time with my family without being rushed to get out

Nice atmosphere however no vegan options and very limited food options. There was a DJ that night playing music, definitely will come again.

Perfect Tuesday evening meal - staff made my friend feel special as it was her birthday by adding a little happy birthday sign and adding candle in her desert. Very grateful and can’t wait to return!

Came here on a mid-week work function. We had the upstairs bar and terrace. Was a great space. Decent food and good service. Would have preferred a less generic choice of beer, but overall and enjoyable event.

We had a family meal every one enjoyed their meal including a vegetarian option which sometimes can be hit and miss

A pleasant bar / restaurant near Castlefield. Food was “ok” but nothing special. Burgers appeared a bit dry for my liking. Drinks were great and service was very good. Would return but not especially for the food.

We were a Family of 5 eating here on Sunday. 3 roast dinners,2 beef and 1 chicken. (We ordered extra roasties )All delicious. And chicken wings and pizza for the other 2. Again good. Also enjoy coming here for just drinks 🍺 n a Saturday mostly. Dukes always has a lovely atmosphere whenever you come and staff are always friendly. X

The rude staff who served us ruined the whole experience. The food was good. We both didn’t have battery on our phone so couldn’t use the app to order- the member of staff rudely stated ‘well I can’t help you with that’ and walked off. We was left non the wiser and unsure what was the issue. If she’d have explained we could order at the bar then that would have helped! Clearly shouldn’t be working in the hospitality industry if you can’t deliver to the customer. I’ll not be returning which is a shame as the food was nice and dukes is a great place. The member of staff totally ruined our Sunday lunch.

Whether odering a cup of tea, cider or proseco staff are brilliant, bar is clean and welcoming . Love this place.

The atmosphere is nicely decorated. But the salad was bland and I have nicer salads. The out door area is lovely but the food didn’t excite. I might need to try something else when I come back. Not enough dressing. No flavour or seasoning in the chicken.

Spent a lovely lazy afternoon in Dukes, meeting up with a gang of friends for lunch. It`s such a lovely venue when the weather is nice, with the large outdoor seating area and the laid back atmosphere of the place. The staff were all lovely and the service was spot. The food is quite simple, but all of it was nice and well priced considering how expensive eating out is now. A perfect afternoon.

I visited Dukes last week with a big party, from the second we walked through the door we felt extremely welcomed. It’s beautifully decorated throughout the restaurant and our server was very kind attentive. I got dynamite prawns and the goats cheese salad both were delicious and reasonably priced. My bill came to £38 with 3 cocktails which is just great for value given the quality of everything. One thing I will add is drinks did take a while which is completely understandable given our party size and the restaurant being as big as it is. I have absolutely 0 complaints and Dukes well exceeded my expectations, I will definitely be back again.

The chips were cold and undercooked. The other guests found the food bland and tasteless The burger was overcooked almost burnt

Jen and Mauriuo really looked after us whilst eating out. Jen's knowledge of vegetarian/vegan food was really helpful fo me. My husband loved his meat burger. The setting and atmosphere was lovely. Prosecco on arrival was a real nice touch to help us celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely go again and take the family next time.

A stylish restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester. The terrace seats along the canal are also nice. It was expensive, but the content was worth the price.

Absolutely superb location, great vibe / atmosphere, and friendly staff. Unfortunately the cocktails we ordered were overly sweet and the food underwhelming, limp undercooked fries which were overly salted and a hot sandwich that was not worth the price tag at all we were really disappointed, we’ll go elsewhere for food in future but return for drinks just in case the bartender was just having a bad day when we visited!

We had the korean burger and steak sandwich fries onion rings.. absolutely outstanding. Xx

We actually went to Dukes to enjoy the pate and cheese board which we always enjoy as a treat but unfortunately it was no longer on the menu which was very disappointing We had a couple of sharers which were nice but not great value

I order the plant based burger. It was lovely but the burger was a little dry.

Had Mauricio as our server, he was amazing! Helped us pick out what we wanted and was super clear with allergies and got me on board to splash on a starter which was amazing!! The food was amazing but I would say the Vegan burger could have had a little more pizazz! The vegan pizza was incredible though, and so was the Tofu starter! All in all I would say it was a great experience and I will definitely be coming again! 5/5 11/10 ⭐️

This was a great spot to get into the summer sun. They have QR’s on the table and move quite quickly but I didn’t have much interaction with the staff because of it so can’t really comment on the service. The wine was cold and the pizza was hot and that’s all you can hope for on a nice summer day at Dukes 💃

The security guard out side called Ziggy was brilliant, I cut my foot on glass and he was very helpful!! Drinks were also very fairly priced and delicious!

My friends ordered the fish and chips and Miso Aubergine. The batter on fish wasn’t cooked well, soggy and fish slightly raw, uncooked. The Aubergine also wasn’t cooked well, could taste the rawness

It depends on what you want. We were in a large group of 16 in the reservation had been made by a third party. We are all retirees who travel globally. This place is a hard charging, loud, young club atmosphere place and was was not at all what we wanted. Wanted. But if you want place full of 20 and 30 somethings with lots of loud hen parties and stag parties going on and a musical beat that just won't quit. Then this is your place but you better get a reservation because they were turning people away who didn't have a reservation.

Long wait for food and drink ,food was excellent ,service poor due to lack of staff I would say .plus 10% on your bill at the end .

Dukes 92 was great place for a day out in Manchester. Parking can be an issue at peak hours .

Booked a table for Sunday lunch with friends and parents. We were moved to the bar area as we had a party of 7 and couldn't fit in the tables in the dining area. It was lovely and light in the atrium area with plenty of space for our party. The food was excellent - we had starters, Sunday roasts, burgers and sharers so a good representation of the menu. The service was very patchy with drinks, glasses and plates taking too long to arrive. We ended up ordering drinks at the bar and clearing plates from the table ourselves.

Really good service but I think their food is overpriced for what you get won’t return

Normally fantastic, a seriously top recommendation, disappointed in the last week of July 2024, grumpy unhelpful, inexperienced staff; chicken sandwich which was barely warm and no kebab on the menu; cashless and not accepting cash (this should be illegal to not accept legal currency).

Eaten at dukes on many occasions but yesterday fell below par , had a private party in progress, outdoor area busy due to weather and received inattentive and poor service. Food lacked lustre, and had booked for husbands birthday , staff clearly overwhelmed and bar area scruffy , loads of dirty glasses and noisy . Should have saved my money and gone to McDonalds :(

Nice vibe next to a some streaming water and oké music. But the food wasn’t great everything was off in tase if it had any and all was really dry. The drink were nice but cocktails were served in a wine glass so a bit small.

Service and ambience were good. I wouldn’t recommend the place for great food. We tried Korean chicken burger and it wasn’t good.

Food was expensive for how mediocre it was. Nothing great, a bit dry even… Great place for just cocktails and the view but would avoid the food

Abul and Kilo absolute legends. Got us an Uber and made sure we got into it safely and even held doors open for us .

We had a lovely afternoon today, for my son’s graduation. We booked a table and found ourselves in the private dining area, which was great for our group of 12. The service was excellent and Harry spent time engaging with us all as individuals and as a group. Great service, good food and nice drinks

Booked for mine and my partners anniversary and the celebrate him after his pass out parade started off lovely but the restaurant was really quiet and it took a while for someone take out drinks order and then took even longer for someone to come and take our order £25 for steak and chips is a bit much as it literally is just a plate of steak and a few chips steak was really fatty and full of gristle. Then when it came to us paying our bill we waited around 15 minutes for someone to hand us a card machine and the waitress then coughed on us when telling us how much the bill was wasn’t really happy with the service charge as no one did a check back on us I think with us both ordering steak check backs are really important I’ve been wanting to try this venue for a long time and I really didn’t enjoy the experience

Hired out Dukes for a company BBQ. The food was excellent quality (which is often not the case with mass catering) and the balcony area was a sun trap. Staff were friendly and attentive too. Would definitely use again.

Food was very tasty and nice and hot when it arrived at the table. I had the ham and mushroom pizza which was really tasty. My husband had the Korean Chicken burger which he said made a nice change from his go to choice of beef burger. Son went for steak as we were paying 😀 it arrived exactly as he had asked medium rare. The server we had was so lovely and was kept extremely busy but we never felt neglected. It was very busy as England were playing and there was a concert on nearby. I would definitely go again.

The Hanging Chicken kebab was gorgeous, more veg with it would've been good rather than the mountain of crispy potatoes and coleslaw. The pizzas went down very well. Service was excellent.

It was lovely but would have been nicer if they would have acknowledged it was my daughters 20th Birthday ……and we had the same server throughout….but we still tipped and really enjoyed would have been full stars otherwise

Incompetent staff and ridiculously rude.

Lovely place the vibe was excellent and everything was clean and orderly. Our service was brilliant. Mains were nice, hot and value for money - chips were a little cold but no big deal. Desserts were a little small for the price but overall a great experience will be returning.

I hadn't been before and we were out for the afternoon in Manchester and this place was near the restaurant we had eaten. It took us some time to find a table and were lucky enough to get a booth. It was extremely busy but we had table service and all in all we had a nice afternoon. A DJ set up while we were there which was good - my God there are some sights in there. I'll leave that to your imagination.

Despite being booked for indoors we decided to sit outside because it was a lovely day. We sat at a table near the lock, it had dirty plates and glasses on it, we didn’t mind this l, it was fairly busy for a Monday, but would have expected someone to come and clean the table. We had to ask for all of the plates to be moved. The table wasn’t wiped down so we tried to do it ourselves, the white napkin was black. We asked one member of staff to wipe clean the table, her table side manner was very poor. She did not appear impressed by this request. She returned to clean it, sprayed half of it and then turned to us and said I can’t reach the rest. At this point I offered to clean the rest of the table myself. I’m surprised at such a lovely venue that the cleanliness outside was so poor. We ordered some drinks to our table, one of the glasses had lipstick on it, by this point we were ready to leave. I have eaten here before, although previously I’ve eaten inside and never had this problem.

Very nice fathers day, staff great, fresh food very nice, although we were the 1st service of the day. You can tell it was gearing up to be a busy day. Thank you Dukes 92, we hadn't been for such a long time and based on our experience I will definitely go back. Enjoy.

This is our 4th visit and it didn’t disappoint. The service was really good and the male waiter was very polite and welcoming. We didn’t get his name but he is a credit to the restaurant. The food was well presented and tasted so good. We will definitely return again

Dukes 92 has been my 'go to' for the past 3 years whenever we have gone to pick up my son from the University. The food, ambience and service have all been excellent and I would totally recommend it.

Great dinner and wonderful, helpful staff. Staff really knowledgable about menu and provided guidance on dietary requirements.

Visited here yesterday, stood at the host point waiting for atleast 5-10 minutes with not a single team member to greet or welcome us which was naturally a poor start.. We decided to go outside for a drink first anyway as we were early to our lunch reservation. When asking the bartender for a drinks menu, he couldn’t find one (no drinks menus to be found on the bar.. which was strange..) Sat outside for a drink which was quite pleasant as the venue itself looks great and situated nicely on the canals within Deansgate.. After our drink we proceeded inside, to then wait at the host point again for another duration with it taking a while to be noticed or greeted (this venue clearly missing front door presence..) which is a shame. We were eventually greeted by a manager / supervisor who took us to a table close to the back door which was drafty, so I kindly requested to sit further in (as you would) as the whole venue was free.. When seated it took a while to get our order or be noticed - once noticed we had our order taken with no offer of water for the table or our starter cutlery taken away.. what made it worse was our table was still sticky as though it hadn’t been wiped from previous. The food itself wasn’t bad however overall the service was very poor and the venue didn’t feel welcoming. A real real shame as we had looked forward to visiting here but wouldn’t rush back now personally… Service standards within this venue definitely need addressing for it to be considered in the future unfortunately!
