Visited before the City West Ham game. Good selection of beer including Titanic Plum Porter. Service excellent even though very busy - Full of not really all that nervous City supporters. Hope everyone enjoyed the evening after the game. Look forward to next season and a rare West Ham win.

A truly fun, cozy pub that was rockin’ on an early Friday afternoon. Full of groups of friends catching up over some fine ales. Rustic is an understatement. This place has seen its share of time and patrons. Young, friendly guy at the bar explained some of their cask options, of which there are many. Plenty of regular draft, too. An absolute classic of a pub that I fear will disappear based on the age of the clientele.

I have been visiting this pub for over 20 years and h is a great little place. The beer selection is always good and it has a laid back vibe. It's well worth a visit if you haven't been.

Great place with a selection of eight beers. The head they leave on a pint is much larger than it used to be and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are pies available if it's too cold to pop out for food.

My 'go to' pub' in the city centre. Traditional, small, two roomed bar with a good selection of real ales, including gluten free and vegan. Great for a quiet pint or two, weekdays. Can't be relied upon to have bar snacks available.

This is one of the few remaining quality traditional pubs in Manchester. Wood, brass, glass, tiles, good ale, good laugh, cosy. I hope it never changes.

Excellent pub less than 10 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Eight cask beers on handpump including two porters and a mild when I last visited. A few seats outside on the quiet street. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pub is located between a Wetherspoon’s pub called the Waterhouse and the Vine Inn.

Bit old style but not in timeless classic way in a tacky way. Very small inside and town priced beer - wouldn't recommend it small basic but still pricey pints

Cracking boozer in Manchester City centre. Large selection of ale including gluten and vegan options. 2 main rooms both with a nice ambience for drinking. Small outside area at back which is sheltered. Very good service behind the bar. Sells jumbo packs of midland pork scratchings for £2. Highly recommended is this pub 🍻 🐷

I am a born and bred Mancunian. Yet this was the first time I visited the City Arms. A little gem, this Is one of the few pubs to resist change and retain its identity. A good range of beers and other drinks are available. Friendly service, a good place to drop in and wet your whistle.

Superb side street traditional style pub in Manchester City Centre, offering a great selection of cask ales and a few keg in lovely condition. As you can see from the photos, the range of styles on cask - all of the board is cask except from the bottom two, and is constantly rotating - is very varied and well balanced from a DDH Pale, bitter, mild to porter - and the breweries they are supplied from are absolutely top notch. I paid £5.50 for a pint of the Brew York DDH Pale, which was served in the correct glass with a lovely head. Staff are friendly, and the atmosphere was good with a nice splattering of couples and groups in on a Monday lunchtime. Definitely one for ale lovers to seek out.

Old fashioned boozer just off the town hall square. reasonable set of beers both on cask and keg. Nice drink inspired quotes on the interior wall.

This pub is a quality boozer! It has some great ales both for traditional beer drinkers and for more modern style drinkers. Definitely worth a visit.

I pop into this pub a couple of times a year, always a good atmosphere. Great beers and the staff are always professional and courteous, and knowledgeable about the beers on offer.

For fans of old pubs, ale, pies and atmosphere this is a winner. Great gin selection, lovely atmosphere, excellent service. 8 handpumps, scampi fries and pork scratchings. Central Manchester but just off the beaten track.

When in manchester this is one I always head for because its so traditional and has a great atmosphere.Try a pint of dead man's fist it's delightful. If the young man who sits in the corner drawing check out his talent his art work is exceptional.

Busy, a great selection of well kept beer.

This is a cosy pub we call into every so often and we always have a good time. Located at the back of Wetherspoons of Princess Street. It isn’t very big but this just helps create a great atmosphere. A minor complaint this time was that we were charged £5.50 for a small bottle of Leffe. I was in the supermarket the day after and it’s that price for four of the small bottles! That aside, they have a great range of well-kept beers at reasonable prices. The service is fast and friendly and it’s nice when you can spill outside when the weather is good enough.
