Villa Toscana Ristorante Italiano in Bournemouth

Villa Toscana is fantastic! We've just got back after a great night where they treated us so well. We had dinner there with 5 kids and 5 adults and all of the staff treated us like family. Not one complaint feom any of us. The food was awesome and authentic and the wine was on par. A huge thank you to all staff, chefs and waiters.

Saw this restaurant as we drove past and thought it looked nice from outside. We parked up and went and had supper in there. From the lovely lady at the front desk who introduced us to two young girls called Charlotte and Matilda who showed us to the table. These young girls looked after us at the table and were so nice a credit to the restaurant and their parents of course. The food was brought out really quickly after ordering and was fantastic. I can thoroughly recommend this place for food and would not hesitate to return if we are down in that area. Even though it was a Monday evening the place had a lot of customers and a great atmosphere.

Outsmarting customers service, very delicious food, good value for money, we recommend this Italian restaurant to everyone, we will definitely eat here again and again

I had the worst lasagna ever here. I suspect it had been taken from the freezer. It was soggy. What is more I could not even taste it because it was buried under a huge amount of overpowering arrabiata sauce. So much so that the lasagna was invisible. Who serves lasagna covered in sauce? I presume that this was from the stock sauce used in other pasta dishes and that it was used to disguise the soggy mess they called lasagna. Absolutely awful. What is more, the staff were completely indifferent to my complaints. The cheapest wine is £27. A 400% mark up on a bottle of Montepulciano from Tesco's at around £7 or £8. To cap it all, I was awake most of the night with indigestion and nausea. My tip Give it a miss.

Outstanding Italian restaurant... We recently moved into the area and have been once before for lunch at this little gem of a place... Took some friends with us for dinner this time and it was excellent in quality, backed up by really friendly service, and a reasonable price too... Bonus!!. Outstanding!

Went here for the first time with some friends a couple of weeks back. I was shocked that this delight of a restaurant is in my neighbourhood but I had never been there before. The food was amazing and the staff are wonderful. This place is a gem if you want the real deal Italian food. I will definitely be back soon.

I went here with family and it was one of the greatest dining experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered a ricotta margharita and it was so gooey and delicious and crispy. My family had the calzone and the salmon linguine and both said they were spectacular. Our food arrived within 15 minutes and the service in general was excellent. It felt like Èzio Auditore Da Firenze stabbed me in the back, with kindness and I transported into this Italian haven of a restaurant. Five stars. Will be eating here again

Villa toscana is an amazing place to eat and have amazing food. I had a margharita pizza and my brother had a margharita pizza but with pepperoni. Also, the complementary breadsticks are such a nice touch to the italian dining experience.

This is a jewel of a place in Southbourne Grove. Our family was so well looked after. Very welcoming, sensitive to our needs and accommodating (even when some members were late!). Lovely ambience - there is a kind of intimacy about it. The service is attentive and prompt too. The place is spotlessly clean. The food is so fresh and fragrant - delicious. We were asked to pre-order (for our gathering - 16 of us) so as to ensure we could have what we wanted because the restaurant seeks to purchase the food the day before - but if it was not possible to pre-order - not to worry. I had the BRANZINO ALL’ ACQUA PAZZA - the fillet of seabass cooked in white wine... it was amazing. I certainly hope to visit with family and friends again - hopefully sometime soon.

Such a wonderful experience this evening, the first time my Husband and I Have visited this lovely Italian Gem , and it won't be the last , Delicious food and drinks, and very good service.

Excellent food, been here many times before and it is always great. Lovely owner who is always happy to see you and polite, staff are so lovely. We sat outside today with a lovely table listening to Italian music in the sun, bottle of wine, pizza and an amazing arrabiata and of course people watching. Been going to this restaurant since it opened and it’s always been amazing. Last time I went with just my husband I did notice the portion sizes were smaller. I went this evening with family and the changes were quite noticeable. I understand prices of produce have increased and we have to take that into consideration but personally I feel they have gone a little to far with the portion sizes. The garlic bread was not great, you bite into whole chunks of garlic imbedded in the bread. Not the best. Hope they can get back to how they were when they first opened. Would rather pay a little extra and get the great standard of food we are used too.

Visited for the first time today, we were very impressed with how clean the place was with nice, non intrusive background music. Penne chicken arrabbiata, which was freshly cooked with just the right amount of chilli heat, my wife had the Lasagne, which she said was beautiful. The service was excellent, attentive, but not overpowering. All in all a terrific dining experience.

A lovely spot for an early dinner with the kids. Although we weren’t given a kids menu, they gave us smaller portions for the kids which was great. The waiter serving us was very attentive and friendly. All the food was delicious although not enough coffee in the tiramisu. Otherwise excellent and definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely delicious food. One of my family members who doesn't like Italian much said it was nice. The food was hot and served rather quickly. The food portions were large. The best bit is that the staff were actual Italians! If you like this style of food, definitely stop here for a feast!

A wonderful meal arranged at short notice . The staff were very accommodating and attentive, we were seated straight away and drinks. , Negroni and Cosmopolitans very well made cocktails . Our starters of Mussels-in white wine and cream , calamari and caressed salad were all beautiful with very fresh ingredients. Our mains of Calzone pizza , Daviola pizza and Pollo Sorrento with potatoes and fresh vegetables , was beautiful. We decided to have a dessert the Tiramisu was amazing as was the Copa Nutella and Torte Cappresse all home made desserts . We had a fantastic evening with great service and finished with a complimentary lemon cello.. The family run businesses has great hospitality and nothing is too much trouble . Would definitely go again.

We went two nights in a row. On the Monday, we had eaten a disappointing dinner elsewhere in Southbourne and didn't fancy the choices for dessert. We wandered around, looking at menus outside various restaurants. We chose Villa Toscana and explained that we just wanted dessert. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. We ordered the two different desserts of the day to share. Both were delicious. We also ordered amaretto and coffee, which were also served nicely. On our way out, we booked a table for dinner on Tuesday. This time we ordered two starters to share - bruschetta and carne mista. Both were delicious and substantial. For mains we had cannelloni and calzone with a bottle of sauvignon blanc. All were lovely, although the portion sizes are large. The previous evening, I had noticed a diner at the next table was part way through a calzone and estimated in my mind he was halfway, so I thought it would be manageable. However, when it arrived, I realized he must have already eaten more than three quarters of it. It was packed with meat, vegetables and cheese and perfectly cooked. I left most of the crust. About half of the cannelloni wasn't eaten, despite best efforts. We didn't have room for dessert, but will definitely be going back the next time we are in Southbourne. The service was excellent throughout and it was good value for money.

Had a great meal here whilst visiting friends in Boscombe. Friendly service despite being very busy, nice atmosphere and great food. Risotto was excellent, as was the Seafood Linguini. Salted Rosemary breadsticks were very good, best we've had! Good choice of wine and lagers, although no bitter / IPA on offer - then again, they arenot Italian style beers, so can't complain. Will definitely return next time we visit Boscombe !
