This is a lovely little restaurant/cafe on the route around Whipsnade. We all had pizzas which were reasonably priced and very filling, and came very quickly. There are baby chairs available and it is a pleasant setting overlooking the rolling hills-- you would hope the was was nice for somewhere called the viewpoint, and it is! No complaints really-- just nothing exceptionally good, and the tables were a little bit sticky. Definitely a nice spot on site if you want something more than a sandwich while at the zoo.

There is a sign on the front saying “ wait to be seated “ so we waited and waited and nobody acknowledged us so we ask if we can get a table, we ordered by the counter and sat down, we waited over 30 minutes and we weren’t the only ones annoyed by this, i asked a manager how long food will be ? She said oh there is delay it’s another 10 minutes, her attitude was absolutely disgusting and very rude , we waited another 10 minutes because my children were hungry, we got our food and horrible , burnt pizza , microwave mac and cheese, disgusting as you can see . Most tables got fed up and left

Overpriced and poor quality food. Salad was brown, BLT lacked the B, coffee was luke warm. Seating area dirty with food all over the floor.

For a restaurant in a zoo which promotes sustainable living you might expect more vegan options, olives and side salad is all they offer. Most Italian restaurants at least offer Marinara pizza!

Sat outside and had our food looking out across the Zoo and downs. Very relaxing on a sunny day. Good service from friendly staff.

Hardly any choice of sandwiches available.. it was 11.55am! If it were 2pm I may have been a little more understanding! Staff unhelpful and uninterested.

Very busy when we were there, but we were lucky enough to get a table inside. It’s a bit of a strange layout with baguettes etc at one end and freshly cooked pizza at the other end of the building. We opted for the pizza which was nice, plus the queue at the baguette end was to long. The pizza took less than 10 minutes to arrive. Ordering two was a mistake glide us as sharing one would have been enough for a snacky lunch.

I had a booking at that hotel from December 1st to December 6th, but my stay turned into a nightmare the moment I stepped inside. From the outside, the hotel looked like a charming little place, but as soon as I opened the entry door, a horrible, musty smell hit me. It only got worse when I went upstairs, the stench was unbearable, and the carpets were filthy and stained, as though they hadn’t been cleaned in years. When I finally reached my room, the same awful smell lingered. The room was so dark and unwelcoming that I had to open the windows just to breathe. It was freezing outside, but closing the window was impossible because the odor would immediately fill the room again. I was exhausted and tried to rest, but I couldn’t sleep due to the cold or the suffocating atmosphere. The bathroom was no better. There was visible mold, and the toilet brush was disgustingly dirty,it was clear that basic hygiene standards were not being met. I felt deeply uncomfortable staying in a place like this. Out of desperation, I contacted Booking.com, hoping they could help, but their response was far from helpful. I then decided to read the reviews for the hotel (something I now deeply regret not doing beforehand) and was shocked to find countless other guests describing the exact same issues I was experiencing. I spoke with the receptionist about the problems, and to their credit, they acknowledged everything I mentioned and apologized. They offered me a different room, but I refused because the smell throughout the entire building was unbearable. I then inquired about a refund, and the receptionist assured me that Booking.com would process it since it was a third-party booking. Since then, I’ve been stuck in a back-and-forth between Booking.com and the hotel, with neither taking responsibility. The hotel has refused to offer even a partial refund, not even 50%, which I think is the least they could have done given the appalling conditions. To be offered absolutely nothing after such a miserable experience feels deeply unfair and disrespectful. I feel completely let down and ignored. This is not how customers should be treated. I trusted this hotel and Booking.com to provide me with a safe and comfortable place to stay, but instead, I was subjected to unbearable conditions and no resolution. I sincerely hope you take this complaint seriously and reconsider how you handle situations like this. No guest should ever have to go through what I experienced.

There is a bathroom and shower... I don't know if you can take a break, but there should be no stress when you start... whoever is unloading has to go to the back... first there will be a small gate where you will ring the bell and they will open it, then you will go to the scales and they will tell you where to put the truck, then empty you leave the company and go back in to put it on the weighbridge, get papers and leave.

Food was good, as always. Cafe rouge offer a varied menu, with good options. Plates are brought out on a automated trolley host, exciting for the kids. It's a large restaurant, with only 5 tables dining, it was very quiet.

Really,.really poor. Firstly, explicitly requested food to arrive at a certain time but it arrived 25 mins early. Chicken tikka unseasoned, naan bread burned. Raita like wallpaper paste. Lack of care and attention to customers and details. Very, very poor. Never ordering from you again. Substandard. Not worth a quarter of what I paid. Should be ashamed of yourselves, I can cook better
