My local takeaway always tasty reliable and on time

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently hosted a party for 30 people and decided to order from Dilraj, a place we are proud to call our go-to Indian takeaway. As always, they did not disappoint! From the moment I placed the order, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. They offered excellent suggestions for a varied menu that would cater to everyone's tastes, ensuring everyone was well taken care of. On the day of the event, everything arrived right on time, still hot and providing everything we needed to keep the food hot and serve buffet style as requested by us and even coming to collect everything the next day! The presentation was fantastic, and it made a great impression on our guests. But, of course, the highlight was the food. Each dish was bursting with flavour. Everyone raved about the food, and everyone left with seconds and asked for the takeaway's contact details to place their own orders! We really appreciate the consistent quality and service we receive from Dilraj. Whether for an evening at home or a big gathering, they always come through with delicious food and a smile. Highly recommend for anyone looking for fantastic Indian cuisine and reliable service! Thank you for making our party a hit!

The best curry in LB! Ordered 15+ times from this curry house and it never disappoints. Chicken jalfrezi and garlic chicken are the best ones in the town. Thank you team Dilraj!

As a vegetarian, I have to say that dilraj do a good selection of vegetable dishes. I tend to order the tarka dhal, saag aloo and paneer tikka masala which are all quite tasty. I wouldn't say it's the best Indian takeaway but price wise and taste wise they beat every Indian takeaway in Leighton Buzzard.

The portion sizes were absolutely abysmal for the price they were charging, the curry sauces were watery and barely had taste to them, not only this but the amount of meat in the dishes was next to nothing. In all three of the meals the pot was mostly just sauce. The naans we ordered weren't great either very low quality and the keema naan again had barely any meat in it and the cheese naan was basically a plain naan. We will strongly advice to avoid this restaurant and look for better options.

Deserves better reviews. Compared to other Indians in LB, this is very nice. Got a takeaway and food was delivered on time hot and very tasty. Will be ordering again.

Got the order on time. The delivery guy was standing at the door wanting a tip after it cost us 35 pound for 3 curry’s and 2 rice. The rogan josh was all oil and had to spoon out 6 table spoons out. That was only the beginning. A hour after I have got a terrible belly and been on the toilet for half a hour. Never again 👎

I ordered a meal through Uber Eats. It arrived later than expected but I didn’t have a problem with that. The meal was delicious. However my experience was marred by the delivery person who was rude and said “they” shouldn’t have accepted my order because it was too far out. My home is no more than 4 miles from the restaurant. I won’t be ordering from Dilraj again.

Food was okay, but nothing more than okay. I have had better but also had worse. Food was ready on time for pick up.

Used the website - ordered a chefs special & Prawn Puri. Got discount with colection. I really enjoyed it, tasted superb! Will buy again. 😋

Ordered from here for the first time tonight. Food was delivered in good time, despite our house being a nightmare to find. Delivery fella was proper nice and chatty, always a pleasant experience. The food itself was brilliant, I had the vindaloo and my partner had veg curry. We both had a naan bread too and they were warm, sort, and generally everything you want a nanny to be. The vindaloo was perfectly hot enough to make me feel like I was dying the whole time, and it's flavour was perfect for keeping on bringing me back for another bite every ten seconds till it was all gone. One thing I'd say is it would be nice to have a bit more meat and potato in the portion. Other than that, yea man proper good scran there.

The food was (eventually) delivered hot, fresh and was amazing. Slightly light on the portions of meat included in the dish. The common theme on reviews appears to be delivery time which was an unfortunate frustration. Over an hour and a half for delivery with no communication from the venue. Would definitely go again but would order waaaay in advance.

Okay if you want to wait over 2 hours for your dinner.

This is not the first time dilraj have delivered our food well over an hour and a half late and the management refuse to refund or send the money out so I will be reporting them

our favourite local Indian takeaway.....Would probably suggest not ordering on a Sunday, we have found over several Sunday orders that the quality and taste on this particular day are not at the usual standard we expect from Dilraj. Different chef, perhaps!!

New Years Eve....outstanding service Even telephoned us about our order. So friendly and polite. Food arrived piping hot, very very tasty and great size dishes. Plenty of food for everyone. After waiting an hour past delivery even though I called to chase. The food arrived cold and with the wrong type if chicken (chicken tikka ordered, arrived plain)the onion bhaji were floppy and greasy and overall very disappointing.

Good food, the condition of the waiting area was a bit off putting though. Not too long a wait and courteous service.

Best Indian takeaway by far and I am extremely picky! But this was by far the best vegetable biryani I have tasted. Nice work, All freshly made and the owners/staff are lovely

The good thing is that this curry wasn't the worst curry we have eaten in Leighton Buzzard. I didn't like the fact that they used curry from other dishes to make my rogan josh and they did the same thing with my mushroom rice by mixing it up with old pilau rice. Reputation is everything these days especially with the competitive market. Shame on you for cutting corners but hey at least you not the worst.

Food not delivered and still charged me. When called the restaurant, manager was very disrespectful and made all sorts of excuse. .

They make a very decent curry and offer money off your order when you visit the shop. Friendly staff and well worth ordering from.

The worst place on this planet.

Jan19 update - have since went plant based/ vegan versus previously being vegetarian. Thought an Indian would be difficult but in talking with them they have totally been able to 'veganise' the order. Food tastes even better/ cleaner - thanks Dilraj!! 👏👏👏 2018 Always good food, friendly team; have used them for many years. Delivery usually quick but they often get really busy at peak times. Easy to order via the app - take out or delivery only.

Fair enough on food but not the best quality

First time... delivery super quick, food well packaged and tasted great... I had the Chicken Tikka Pathia... I'd say this was a medium heat that kinda grow on you... sweat and sour element was tasty.

First time ordering. I dont have a big appetite. Very disapointed in portion size very tight!! Tasted nice what there was of it. Wont order again

First time ordering. Service was not that great- they sounded rude over the phone as I was placing my order. They sounded like they didn't want To be on the phone. Plus, although the food arrived on time, but taste wise was not great. We ordered a £4.25 butterfly prawn which we thought a couple of prawns would arrive similar to Chinese but then we get only 1 prawn breaded and fried. Arrival time was great but the food and service let it down. I think I will stick to the same Indian takeaway that I have always ordered from. They have never let me down. Sorry guys

When getting food, I expect not only good quality in the food itself but for good SERVICE also. I went to order a takeaway when an asian man came out of the kitchen and blew me a kiss in the most sleazy manner. He then went back into the kitchen and spoke to the men back there about me, after which others poked their heads out too. I heard one of them say "don't worry she isn't Bengali". They continued to speak in bengali not just about me but badmouthing other customers also that had called up to place orders. They did not realise that, in fact, I was bengali and understood everything they had just said. I then left and felt so dirty that I had to get my partner to go in and pick it up. He went in and said "I've come to pick up the takeaway the bengali girl ordered" just so they knew. Apparently the frontman looked very shocked. I thought the food was very good, but the character of the disgusting men that work there means I shall not be returning here.

Awful. Paid for our order to turn up woth several dishes misding and then when we called staff rude. Said they would redeliver food and failed to show up and answer the phone. Do not use!!! Awful service.

I've given the Dil Raj a few chances to impress me as one of the best Indian takeaways in Leighton Buzzard however unfortunately they continue to disappoint. The service is always very friendly and polite but the food for me just isn't up to the same standard as the Methi, IMA in Stoke Hammond or Cafe Zeera in Wing. The currys at Dil Raj are always extremely oily and salty which for me doesn't make for high quality indian food. Sorry Dil Raj, unlikely to use you again.
