I come here once a week with my partner. The food is great quality, they have quick and friendly service and the murals and fish tank add to the vibe. The place is usually busy but you can always get a table.

Lovely food will definitely go back and staff is very nice and helpful.

Incredible price with delicious food. Always will be our favorite restaurant in south London! Enjoyed every dinner after finishing courses in Goldsmiths.

Nice service. Let down by ordering the steamed rolls marked vegetarian which came with meat slices on top - encountered some difficulty/contradictory advice from serving staff on whether it was meat and ultimately they took it back to the kitchen to remove it. Otherwise good portion sizes but mediocre quality. Also took over half an hour for food to come although I was the first and only person there on opening.

Great experience, booked for a large group of us (10) and as we arrived got taken down to the karaoke room. Food was excellent, service quick and prices reasonable. Karaoke was a lovely surprise on top, would defo reccomend. BYOB massive plus as well

Served peanuts after stating serious nut allergies….. food came complete with peanuts !!! After requesting a freshly cooked dish, we were given the same dish with the peanuts scrapped off even though we were told categorically that it had been newly cooked. This is extremely dangerous and the consequences for two members of our party who have serious nut allergies could have been severe if we had not noticed this could have been catastrophic. We are appalled and beyond disappointed that this happened after we expressly told them of our needs. Sadly we will not be able to risk returning to this restaurant again.

Food was okay but we were rushed to leave just after eating telling us there’s people waiting, which didn’t feel great, some people were still there who arrived same time as us. We were two people but ordered fair amount of food. We gave the feedback in person but they didn’t seem keen to hear it 🤷‍♀️

Unbelievably delicious food. We had the seabass and it was cooked to perfection and came quickly. Even the egg fried rice was amazing. Good service.

This place used to be really good but is now just awful. Quite mediocre food served by people who can't even bother to come to your table or even acknowledge your presence. Deptford now has much better options for Vietnamese food. Sadly can't recommend this place any more.

We visit this place twice a year when having the cars MOT locally. The service and food is fantastic and we catch up with the waiter Din. Try the fried spring rolls, very good

Lively restaurant with authentic Vietnamese food. You can take your own booze as they don't serve any. I had a tasty noodle dish with Vietnamese spring rolls. The Vietnamese coffee was nice too.

Viet rest is placed at 10 mins from deptford bridge dlr station. Its a BYOB place with no extra corkage charges. We ordered summer rolls, chicken papaya salad and fried beef noodles. Summer rolls were popular as almost everyone at restaurant was ordering summer rolls. Summer rolls were good but dip could have been better. Mango chicken salad and fried beef noodles were really good. This place has fresh produce and under budget.

Wish I could give ZERO stars. Ordered a crab roll after looking on the website menu, got to find out a week later it is crab and pork when looked on Uber eats and deliveroo that it is crab and PORK, called to ask if it can just be crab and was advised is premixed. Website menu is very misleading! How can you not state that it is crab and pork? I have now as a result of this eaten pork when I do not eat meat.

My absolute favourite Vietnamese place in the UK. Transports me back to my time in Vietnam. So, so delicious. And the murals are exquisite!

Came for a Saturday lunch, not been back since refurb - love tables and mural all beautiful still and nice place for casual dining. Large portions of quality food and excellent for sharing. Me and my friend had Bánh cuốn (double size of other places portions and delicious) grilled pork and spring rolls salad (meat was great, so tasty) and tofu pancake (thicker than usual but still great and salad was good addition). We had lemon drink and Vietnamese iced coffee. Was a nice place to take a visiting friend. Won’t take so long to come back.

Nice spot, efficient service, but food was sub-par & not cheap. I had a rare beef pho, but there was hardly any meat & what there was, was string, tough & over-cooked. My daughters fried noodle dish was swimming in oil & she was unable to finish it. No complaints from my wife about her fried prawn rice dish, but she did comment that the water glasses were dirty.

We come here all the time, and food is very yummy and service 👍.

Really cute looking place, I was very excited to try it because looks wise looks great and it’s always full. However, the service was too slow and the food didn’t meet our expectations. The fried aubergine was the worst aubergine I have ever tried. The mixed vegetables noodles were ok and the tofu summer rolls were too basic. The rice came last and not as a side so couldn’t be eaten with the aubergine. Would not come back.

I have always enjoyed the food here, good variety and decent size pho. However last few times I have been let down by repeated errors. I ordered a take away and when I got home I was missing 2 portions of banh cuon which cost £17 When I called them they said that I can come to collect, however I live 40mins away so couldn’t go back. They offered to give it back next time. However as I live far away I didn’t go back until recently, when I asked about my banh cuon they said ok. Unfortunately again they forgot to add this in and instead I had meat spring rolls instead! Not what I ordered! Their English language is quite poor and when I called again they said they are no longer able to help me and that my order was correct. Don’t think I will be going back now, unfortunate as like I said their food and portions are good

Food is delicious and reasonably priced. We had jellyfish salad, stir-fry goat and prawn pho, and all were very tasty.

Absolutely lovely place. The food is so fresh and delicious. We dined as a group of 4. Love the painted landscape walls as well. We had summer rolls (even the sauce was really fresh), potato prawn pancakes. Some of the others had a broth dish. Everyone was feeling so content after! To finish off we had a Vietnamese coffee. Vegetarian options available also.

Very good, real traditional Vietnamese food. Good service and the portion is great for the price. Highly recommend. As a Vietnamese, this place really eases my homesickness whenever I come. The music choice is also nostalgic and the wall is painted with a Ha Long Bay scene to top it all off.

The best pho I've had in London. As a pho lover, I've tried so many Vietnamese restaurant and this is definitely the best among them all. We ordered Plain steam rolls - freshly made, and if you order the extra sauce (creamy sweet sauce), it brings me back to Hong Kong ! Fried Crab rolls - crispy and loaded with prawns, mince, crab and vermicelli. One rolls cut into 4 but i want more ! BBQ chicken rice - very tender flavoured chicken with chicken oil. 有走地雞味 Special pho - just amazing! The soup doesn't taste like MSG, got strong beef flavour. And very big portion. Location is great, 2 mins from Deptford train station.

Wow! I told them “This was my first time having Vietnamese food and I must say, I’m so happy I came here!” Delicious. Every bite was so unfamiliar yet so tasty! It is wonderful finding new flavours to love. Come here. Somehow the excellent blues music fit right in. Great service. I noticed a proper karaoke room downstairs with big screen, instruments to play, nice speakers and equipment. What fun to celebrate a party down here I thought! As the Terminator said, “I’LL BE BACK” The empty bowls pic says it all really.

Very poor service from the skinny lady have long hair. Was told to hurry up and eat as they were closing for lunch service but they didn't mention that when we entered the restaurant to eat. They then took it to the next level by dimming down the lights so we had to rush our meal!Very unprofessional.

Great food, like really great, good price, and the slow dawning that the picture going right round the walls of a lake with limestone 'dragon's teeth' is actually literally painted on to the walls. If you say thank you in Vietnamese (Cam an) you get a big smile from the staff.

Extremely friendly family-run eatery serving up delicious Vietnamese food. Highly recommend trying the BBQ Chicken with rice, the Pho as well as the salt and pepper tofu. We go here about once a week!

Always my kind of Vietnamese food, I visit this restaurant frequently, usually for breakfast and dinner, I order beef or pork dishes and I am yet to be disappointed, they accept card and cash.

Love this restaurant! Come here every week, good prices and good food and dog friendly too. Staff are super friendly and welcoming! Really can't recommend it enough!!!!

It was a good restaurant before. After covid the prices have been considerably increased and the portions halved.

Don’t sleep on this hidden gem, top tier Vietnamese restaurant with true authentic flavours. Didn’t have to think twice looking for somewhere to eat as soon as I saw Pho pictures posted from other patrons. Prices are slightly higher compared to other restaurants but 100% fair & understandable considering the quality meat and in depth broth just like I’d cook for my family at home. There are a few dishes that are definitely underpriced too! 2min walk from station, only downside I would say would be the parking, boxed loading bay sign says 20min but I was there for nearly 2hrs with no ticket no issues.

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly service, delicious freshly pressed juices. The prawn broth was a definite stand out for me! Would recommend and will be back!

Supposedly one of two best Vietnamese restaurant on Deptford High Street however vegetarian menu average sadly. Mostly side dish standard not main meal. Garlic Choi Sum OK but some pieces stringy. Sweet and sour tofu not really sweet or sour. Veggie Papaya salad good though.

I got the viet rest fried noodles - best freshest noodles I've ever had. Munchy vegetables, well cooked meat, not too oily or salty. Perfect!

Decent and authentic Vietnamese food

stopped here for lunch and ordered phở bò and bún chả cá, service was super fast and really good portion sizes for the value of money! i enjoyed mine but my mum didn't like her phở (hence the 4 stars) might have to come back to try the other dishes since there was a large menu selection

Amazing vietnamese restaurant. They have recently redecorated and redone the menu and it's lovely and spacious inside. The menu is now in line with other restaurants and cost of living, that being said most dishes are £10 and under so i think its pretty good value because GREAT PORTION and DELICIOUS FOOD. My family loved the beef vermicelli noodle bowl, rare beef pho and mango papaya salad was amazing. The summer roll is nice and Banh Cuon (vietnamese steamed pancake) was delicious and homemade as always. The staff here are friendly and do a good job, although a little slow on service as the restaurant was full and a party going on downstairs. This doesnt bother me though as they dont apply service charge so its fair enough. LOVE IT DEFINITELY GO HERE FOR GOOD AUTHENTIC VIETNAMESE FOOD.

It’s open again! I am addicted to Vietnamese Cha Bem (spring rolls) and this place does the best spring rolls around. It’s been refurbed to extend to double the space but other than that no huge changes, still good unpretentious authentic food. So pleased to have this local gem open again.

4/4/22 - Deptford - Viet Rest This is not a review but it is a notice to say that the restaurant is being refurbished as from 24th of January. I passed it yesterday at 21:00 on the 4th of April as I wanted a Vietnamese meal with my friends but it was closed. I passed it again at 23:30 after going to similar PhoHanoi up the road instead and the wonderful Dog&Bell after to find a decorator/builder inside decorating the restaurant. It will be reopening at some point I expect. I have no idea of the prices when it reopens but they will probably be similar to the other restaurants as the food becomes more gentrified and hipster. Like the other similar Vietnamese restaurant it will probably not be ‘£’ anymore

Really legit little Vietnamese place. Nothing at all tweaked to fit local tastes, this is genuine Vietnamese food. Remember to take cash though.

Very very good Vietnamese food! Authentic, yummy, also with lots of variety. We’ve been there multiple times and enjoyed each and every dish. Also very good money for value - you just will never find that in central london. The owner is very warm. In general very highly recommended

Steamed rolls were cold. As for the noodles in crab meat soup, the soup base was not bad, but the noodles were so sticky (they stick to each other) and cold. Drink was ok, friendly staff. But given the quality of the food, I'm not gonna come back.

Good food, huge portions, very good price, lovely decor (especially downstairs!!), great Vietnamese Iced coffee, lovely service. Excellent value for money, highly recommend. Bun bo hue is quite spicy, FYI - I thought it was the perfect level of spice but if you’re not a heat lover, maybe try something else 😄

Don't let the decor put you off becsuse thees food is well worth it. All dishes we had were demicious and thd staff were very friendly. After enjoying the food so much, I even liked the brightly coloured walls, which gave me a different first impression.
