I really hope they were just having a bad day. After spending so much money on refurbishment they really need to get their act together. They're so near a trading estate they need to be prepared for busy periods. We waited over an hour for our food, all light bite sandwiches. One wasn't available so the order had to be changed and one was wrong but was accepted as we had already waited for over an hour. The staff were all very pleasant and apologetic but the service was shocking. Please please guys, we really want to support you so get your act together.

Nice pub on the main road to Glous, Ermin Street. It gets busy lunchtime so don't order food and expect quick service. Our group of 10 all served at the same time and not much left! I need to go back for steak and ale pie 🥧

This is q truly great pub. Me and three mates went to the Cheltenham Festival and stayed at an Airbnb nearby. We used this pub every day we were there. Before and after the races. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcome by the locals and staff. The pub is well equipped with pool tables, two state of the are dart boards and a great selection of reasonably priced drinks. The breakfast was good. Mains were excellent. I would visit this area again just to go to this pub. The people are excellent. Live music on the Saturday by D'Antangian (can't remember name exactly). As an outsider, you can feel uncomfortable in a boozer you've not been in but this was dedinitely not the case here. Cheers, you run a great pub.

Great drink this evening, unfortunately the guest ale was a bit off however the Guinness was great. We made a late decision to eat and the Friday Fish Meal was super. Only one portion of chickpea curry so a portion of red Thai vegetable curry was substituted for the other dish.

Was keen to try the "Vic" again after a very impressive recent refit and new landlady. Went for Sunday lunch and although a bit quiet (probably a lit of people not aware they do Sunday lunch?) was very good. Roast chicken and OH had the butternut squash wellington. Both very enjoyable and nice selection of veg. Abbot ale on as a guest ale which was a bonus! Show them some love and help them male a success of what should be a great neighbourhood pub.

Good food and drink at very reasonable price. The menu is beefeater style but with some different options. We chose from the Sunday lunch menu. I had the butternut Wellington and it was delicious. Came with all the trimmings you would expect with a roast. This was followed by dessert, I have the Biscoff dessert which again was delicious. The service was very friendly. Will definitely go again

We were a table of nine, a booking had been made but no reference for the booking, not in their book!! Food was excellent, however the Ladies toilets were not very nice, no lock on the door, no toilet paper, no paper towels and they seemed short on staff who tended to look after the back bar on one of the busiest days of the year rather than the main nar....WHY? Very disappointing given the hype. Had a previous Sunday dinner which was excellent but sadly this time was not very good....

Visited the newly renovated Inn for a bite to eat and drink and we were not disappointed. The welcome was warm and sincere, choice of food fab as was the quality when it came. Beyond that the landlady who is also the chef came to see us on two occasions, a really nice touch. The decors great, there is a sports bar to the rear and there is also a garden. We will be back without a doubt and we wish the landlady the best of luck in the future of the Victoria. This will become a little local treat for us. Thank you

Decided to go out and as they have just opened, thought we would try it out. I had buttermilk chicken burger, was tasty and the chicken crunchy coating. My husband had the spicy pizza, it was nice, he would have liked a bit spicier and more meat topping, Kids had burger chips and sweetcorn ribs the other had Chicago town pizza mash and beans. Burger was nice and thick patty, the pizza was deep filled, sadly not yo my son’s liking…he would prefer a thinner base. As it was half term kids ate for free, but we would happily have paid full price, All in all a good first experience under new management. Will definitely be going again.

3.7 stars is a lie. The carling tastes vinigery and is over priced £3.50? It's not that expensive in Nottingham city centre. The urinal probably hasn't been cleaned since the pub opened. The only thing that warrants the review is the friendly dogs inside the pub, I don't know it they're the landlord's or a guests? But a pub that welcome dogs has got to be a good thing! Needs some vast improvement. Drink off the top shelf or you may get Ill.

This pub used to be a great venue with good plain simple bar food. Now taken over by Sam Smiths Brewery, who closed the kitchen till further notice. On entering the large lounge found a few obviously regulars at the bar with the bar maid giving them her undivided attention in conversation. When she did come to serve, it was reluctantly, she had no real idea about service and though fresh orange juice was a sliced orange, and told us she only had sliced limes!! Considering Sam Smiths is known for its bitter, the only draught ale was Newcastle Brown. Appreciate that it might be issues with the new owner, but some information would have been nice Sadly if things don't improve it is going to die, which is a shame, as it was a group of friends meeting up we really had no choice but to hang in for a couple of drinks before moving on.

10 of us were staying locally for a a half term break in the Cotswolds, found this place on google and boy were we happy. The cod (we ordered 7 large ones) was simply amazing. The fish was light and fluffy and the batter was golden and crispy. All very dry and tasty, none of that greasy feeling you often get with chippies. The staff and I think the owner in particular just seemed like really nice people. Highly recommend if you are passing through. The chips were not in the same league. Don’t get me wrong, they weren’t terrible by any stretch but felt we probably got the short end of the straw when it came to freshness. However, it did not detract at all from the positive experience.
