Victoria House Coffee & Food in Camden

We visited the Victoria House cafe for Sunday brunch, my second visit. We didn’t have a reservation so had a bit of a wait but we were kept updated and given menus so we could choose while we waited. The cafe was very busy but the service was very efficient and we were served straightaway when we sat down. The waitress was very friendly. The food is fabulous. Great choice, large portions, freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The cafe has a relaxed, friendly feel and I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing Full English Breakfast and super-attentive, nice and quick staff - I’ve been there a number of times when staying in London and it’s certainly my favourite breakfast place.

The Victoria house was absolutely fantastic! Where to start.. the service was kind and wonderful. The food came quickly and was delightful. I had the traditional vegetarian English breakfast . It was a bit of everything and was perfect. The homemade iced tea was great and there were a great mix of coffees and teas.

We arrived about 12:30 and the house was packed save for a couple of seats at the high top counter - not a problem for us. Our hostess was anxious for us to have a table and within minutes we were seated and ready to order. I wanted lunch. My husband wanted breakfast. The menu offers both. Generous portions on both the mustard, ham and cheesy toast and the full English breakfast! Yummmm

My experience was very unpleasant. I understand that this is a highly reputed establishment with long queues, but does that justify rushing customers? Just as I finished my meal, someone immediately came to clear the table. When I attempted to enjoy my latte, a waiter approached me with a displeased expression, asking if I needed anything else in a manner that implied they wanted me to hurry up and leave. Under pressure, I knocked back my coffee at the end, and not waiting for me to get my breath back, another waiter came to present the bill, wearing a displeased expression, without even a thank you. They took the payment and left without a smile. I only spend 30 minutes to finish my brunch.

Highly recommended for breakfast or brunch. The food is freshly prepared to order, and of the highest quality. Great healthy options, and generous portions. Good selection of beverages, and everything is competitively priced. The staff members are attentive and friendly. Well worth the five star review.

Picked on a whim based on reviews and where we’d stayed overnight and not wanting your ‘standard’ hotel breakfast. Busy, so I’m glad we booked a couple of days before. Not sure what to say other than service and food both excellent!! You can tell the ingredients are quality. We went for breakfast brioche rolls with egg/bacon. Added hash browns! All delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. If we stay in this area of London again wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

While we only got to eat here once and regret not being able to go back again, we had a wonderful experience at Victoria House. The food and service were both outstanding. As someone who is gluten free and dairy free, I also found them to he incredibly knowledgeable and informative. I requested non dairy creamer for my coffee, and was told that the eggs have dairy milk in them but they can remove it if I prefer. This was very thoughtful and not something that most restaurants I have visited would have thoght about. I ordered a fruit platter along with my breakfast and the presentation was just beautiful and much larger than I would have expected. The entire beakfast was delicious and greatly appreciated. I think I even received gluten free toast, which is always a nice surprise. This was by far the best breakfast we had during our stay in London. It is just a short walk to the British Museum,so this is the perfect spot to stop for breakfast or lunch. But make a reservation, because it's small and popular and fulls up quickly. We made a reservation the evening before.

Absolutely loved our lunch here. Really pleasantly surprised. Both our lunches were very tasty and great value for money. Staff were friendly and super accommodating of our pram. Also very quick service.

We booked a table here for our first morning in London, and I'm so glad we did! The place was really busy and with the rain, if we hadn't booked we'd have been waiting outside for a table. We had an excellent breakfast, I particularly enjoyed my eggs benedict - the poached eggs were absolutely perfectly done. This was not just a fluke as both my mother and sister also had perfect poached eggs on their dishes too. The coffee was also very good, so much so that I had two cafe lattes, when I rarely have more than 1 cup of coffee in the morning.

Victoria’s house have the best breakfast around , we waited for a while in a que ( that happends only on the weekends) but it was so good it was worth it ! Do yourself a favour and go eat here
