Victoria Cottage Tea Room in Wakefield

Amongst the best scones we've ever had. Freshly baked and beautiful texture. Friendly staff willing to chat about their food. Not much to see from the outside, but the café is upstairs and very cosy. Price excellent too.

We have had a few afternoon teas over the years but this was exceptionally lovely.We felt the warm welcoming atmosphere as soon as we walked in.Great decor but not over the top.The food was delicious with a variety of lovely sandwiches, cute little buns and scones with clotted cream and jam. Unlimited tea or coffee was a nice touch too.We will be back to celebrate another occasion.Thankyou

Great little tearoom, cosy, warm, feels like its family run. Going to make it one of our regular tearooms.

This place is a little hidden gem 💎 We booked a table because there were 7 of us but our friends were ill so we reduced to 4. Booking on messenger was easy and I got quick and warm responses back. The service was fabulous, so warm and friendly. The food was delicious, we all enjoyed it. Thank you for a lovely lunch in your cute tea room. We will definitely come back and recommend to others x

Me and my partner visited for breakfast yesterday for the first time. It was absolutely gorgeous food and so lovely and cosy inside. The two ladies working were amazing. Can’t wait to go back :-)

Another lovely visit to this tea shop , it is a delight to come here , the reception is always wonderful and my grandchildren are looked after beautifully by the owner . This is becoming one of my favourite places to go with friends and family .

I had a great experience here today with my family (7 of us), my wife brought me for the first time and the food/coffee was first rate, I would definitely recommend Victoria Cottage Tearoom, we all throughly enjoyed it 👍

I travelled from out of the area to this lovely cafe in Ackworth to meet my family for a ladies lunch. I am happy to travel for good food and the food here was wonderful. Lovely handmade sandwiches with garnish and the desserts are out of this world. We had red velvet cake, fresh scones, Victoria sponge (and took home the fresh made on the premises cheesecake and Rocky road). The place itself is so cute, beautiful decor and wonderfully put together. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like we’d come to a friends cafe, as we were so welcomed❤️ We will definitely be back xx

Lovely little tea shop with freshly made food - owner very pleasant and accommodating to everyone's needs - sad part is you have to climb some steep steps to get to it and car parking is very limited

We popped in for lunch and received a warm welcome. Freshly prepared lunch and nothing was too much trouble including Assam tea! Fiona took time to chat with us as she prepared our lunch. Cakes were delicious.

(Car parking facilities rather vague....) Rather a climb up steep steps to the "loft", but it is warm & welcoming inside. Table & waiter service. Wasn't offered a breakfast menu, so we ordered a cream tea each from the specials board. Quite a popular cafe at 10am. Toilet.

What a lovely place this is , such a treat to get great food in such a lovely setting. Will definitely be back and there is as lovely card /gift shop downstairs. Well worth a trip out

Lovely little tea rooms had Afternoon tea and my daughters baby shower there Fiona is a great host the teas were a little cake and biscuit heavy lots of cakes and not enough sandwiches and savourys I would NEVER eat 3 difftent cakes at 1 time but the scone and Jam was delicious we took home the cakes we didn't eat and she let us take and drink some bottles of fizz decor lovely so all in all I would visit again Thanks Fiona for a lovely afternoon and no pressure was shown to leave 😀

Had the best panini and then home baked scones with clotted cream and jam, nothing was any trouble for the staff, thanks for an enjoyable visit

Lovely helpful friendly staff and the food is well presented and very nice. My friend and I had panini and a sandwich which were both very tasty and looked delicious with 2 latte's. Service could have been just a little quicker but we didn't mind to busy chatting.

Visited this lively little tea room for the first time today. It's been a beautiful early Spring afternoon and we had a super walk round the village fields and open spaces amongst the blue skies. Not been here before but above ground floor card shop is a coffee shop that is most pleasant. The staff were very warm and friendly and we had tea for two and a coffee with a couple of cakes. Yes, they do serve GF here. Premises are licensed as well ! Lovely time spent there and definitely one to return to !

2friends and myself visited at lunchtime yesterday. The food was lovely and the place beautiful with lots of character. My friends had jacket potatoes which came with salad and coleslaw and I asked for a cheese and onion toast is on gluten free bread. Mine came with salad, crisps and coleslaw and was the nicest lunch out I have had since being diagnosed 3 months ago. I can definitely recommend and I will return. Very reasonably priced too, excellent value.

Me and my husband came to the tea room to celebrate our first anniversary. The staff were amazing and couldn’t have done more for us. We even received a beautiful anniversary card which was really thoughtful. The selection of sandwiches and cakes were delicious, we will definitely be returning!

Myself and 15 friends visited the tea room (above the best card shop in the district ) to have afternoon tea. We were treated to a variety of fresh sandwiches, individual Eton mess, some petit desserts, lemon cake and of course the traditional scone with clotted cream and jam. All tasted delicious !! The staff were great and very friendly. We all had a fab afternoon.

Recently opened tea room where I live. Lovely food, very clean and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
