Victoria & Albert Inn in Northumberland

Been to this place a few times as a family of 3 but came as part of a larger group today and could not fault this wonderful pub, the staff are all super friendly and helpful the food is 10/10 and plentyful the portion sizes are huge but so delicious.. the adults in our group all had Sunday lunches which we can not recommend enough and the kids had pasta again must have been delicious as they cleared their plates .. If you are looking for good food in a friendly comfortable place this is the place to.go

Popped in for a drink on a walk with a view to potentially have dinner with my husband including 10 month old son - unfortunately unless there’s a crack down on teens vaping inside the pub on tables next to us we wouldn’t return.

Have to review this pub it'd a absolute gem , so hard to get a decent Sunday lunch In lovely surroundings with super friendly staff. The food is delicious and never disappointes. I'd recommend it to anyone perfect cooked meant and al dente veg never over cooked. Compliments to the chef and bar staff .

Came here with friends there is parking on site and the beer garden was great in the sunshine. It was a friendly and delightful place. The staff were amazing and the food was superb! The starter came quickly and the food was cooked perfectly with great portions. I will definitely be going again!

Three of us went for Sunday lunch and we all thought the food was fantastic, amazing Yorkshire puddings and portions are huge so if you aren't a big eater ask for the small (kids) dinner, my mum did and she couldn't finish it. Staff are lovely, attentive and really friendly. The beer garden at the back is a lovely sun trap. We will definitely be back for food again.

Really cozy pub, with a great atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and friendly. My Sunday dinner was amazing, big variety of vegetables and huge portion sizes. The starters also do not disappoint, i would definitely go back!

Been for Sunday dinner at the V&A many times now, the portions are amazing and the quality is second to none! The staff are so friendly and there has been massive improvements since the management changed last year. Incredible work, looking forward to my next one…

Delicious Sunday Lunch and I would highly recommend, thankfully only opted for two courses the beef was so tender. The vegetables were perfectly cooked along with an enormous Yorkshire pudding. Followed by Sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream as well as cherry cheesecake and fresh cream were to die for.

Great comfortable atmosphere. Local pub with plenty seating. Clean and inviting. Staff are so friendly and always serve with a smile. Looking forward to summer 🌞 evenings in the secluded beer garden 🍻

This place is fabulous for Sunday lunch we come regular and the staff are amazing even dog friendly with doggy dinners

This is now our 3rd or 4th Sunday after popping in for a meal couple of weeks ago. The staff told us they also did Sunday menu and we tried it. The beef is cooked prefect and my husband is still telling friends about the pork belly and the lovely crackling! All the vegetables are cooked perfect and we took our left overs home the yorkshire puddings are huge! And we always like to have the the sticky toffee pudding. Lovely friendly staff who have a bit chat and always make sure we are served at our table if need be for drinks and anything else as my husband has a disability thank you very much Linda

Not the first time I have had Sunday lunch here , it is always lovely but todays was delicious, the beef was perfectly cooked

Came in with some of my friends and my girlfriend for a drink and staff are very friendly and it was busy, i am looking at the next few months of having a meal there as the reviews have told me that the food is superb and hope to come back soon

XL fish was a bit pricey. But defo worth it for the size. Aswell as the size of potion of chip, mushy peas and a decent size of tarta sauce. Classical music goes well the style of the pub. Will defo be back on payday. Since its just a 2 min walk away.

Excellent Sunday lunch, differently come again. Not keen on doing Sunday lunch out as always disappointed but this was a lovely positive

Second trip to this pub and second meal Apart from being too much to eat it was delicious we shall be returning for sure. Staff are really friendly too.

This pub has a clean toilet and the bartender George provided a great customer service however was a strange young man as he hovered around my table sniffing my hair

This has been out 6th visit for food..many times for drinks since moving to the area. What a difference the last 3 have been! Lovely to see the same staff on, always have a good friendly welcome and they cant do enough for you. The ladies who work day and night we have experienced them both and said we said will be doing this review as its well deserved. The service is brilliant, the food now is amazing!! we have tried it three times! Previous was bland and sloppy from the previous owners, ones before them was better also. The pub has always had a good little vibe and we know these ladies have tried and slogged their butts off to make it a good place Its great to see so many younger ones getting in and they are no bother me and the wife have had some good chats with them one even bought us drinks!! Its amazing now! Both the ladies are buzzing (sorry if I shouldnt have put that) but its great to see how happy the staff are about their new bosses. The locals are all so lovely and they clearly love the staff as their banter shows it. We cant wait for the world cup and new year! and my sunday dinner

Come today at lunch time the pub is cosy and beautifully decorated. We ordered a hot been sandwich with crispy onions, rocket and horseradish. My partner ordered fish and chips. When the meals arrived I noticed that the hot been sandwich didn’t come with any of the extras that were advertised on the menu. No horseradish,No crispy onions and no rocket. I complained to the waitress who apologised and advised that they had no rocket left but she did go and get some crispy onions and horseradish from the kitchen. My partners fish was large and the batter was perfect but we both agreed the chips didn’t have much taste. We wanted to go for a desert but the menu was very restrictive as they said they were waiting on a delivery. The only coffee they had was instant because again they said they were waiting on coffee being delivered. I have worked in the restaurant trade before and if you run out of simple things such as coffee or rocket why not just get someone to go to the shop 2 mins away as it keeps the customers happy and yous still get a sale ? I’m really sorry but I don’t think we will be coming back it’s a real shame as the staff and venue were lovely.

Food lovely, big portions, friendly staff. Definitely come again. Nicely refurbished and good outside area will be lovely in the summer.

Food very good large portions we had flat breads and couldn't finish it . Lovely atmosphere and dining areas very tastefully decorated. Staff very nice and attentive and helpful.

Been tonight after hearing about the new take over and new chef. Didn't disappoint at all, we had 8 family meals consisting of hanging chicken kebab, 21 day old steak burger, sticky piggy cauli wrap and beef panini. Every meal was spot on and it was nice to meet the new chef who popped down for a chat and was great with the kids. See you guys soon, and hats off to the blonde lass behind the bar who managed everything on her own, sorry didn't catch her name. Thanks again 👍
