We booked at the last minute for a nights stay, the room was ok except no soap in the bathroom. The bar and restaurant was closed so we cannot comment. It served its purpose we just needed a bed for the night.

What I would expect in a pub, I had the Sunday lunch which was very tasty. I would go again and try the pub menu.

Food was at best average. The so called bar and restaurant is in fact a pub that serves food. Gammon was over cooked and tough and I probably wouldn't choose to eat here again. As for this being described as a quaint pub - well it aint and is a town pub that actually needs to find its true identity and purpose. The same venue is described here as a Bar and Restaurant and in other places as a Hotel. Not impressed overall by my experience.

Had a lovely evening in this quaint pub. Food was delicious, staff lovely and great atmosphere. New owners working hard to get this traditional pub back on its feet and we would recommend highly.

Things didn't begin well - they had run out of beer; or at least real ale (which we'd enjoyed here previously), so faced with a limited selection of keg beer, larger and cider, none of which appealed, we chose a bottle of white wine instead, which sadly arrived unchilled. Unfortunately, my deep-fried fish main course was chilled - stone cold in the middle, in fact! In fairness it was promptly replaced with something slightly warmer and we weren't charged for the dish, but that is not really the point - and it meant that I was eating when the rest of our party had finished; and to add insult to injury, the waitress wanted to start clearing the table while I was still eating. We fancied a coffee to finish off, especially as there was a very extensive coffee menu on display. However, our request for a macchiato (which was on the list) was met with blank stares; it turns out that the coffee menu is just for show! I'm really sorry that this is such a negative review, especially as the landlord and staff do genuinely seem to be trying to make a go of the place. More attention to detail - and simply getting the basics right - is required, I think.

Some of the best fish and chips we've had anywhere. Cooked fresh to order, and very tasty. Staff were very friendly, chatty and polite. Would highly recommend.

Decent pub but what made it for us was Lewis behind the bar. Played an excellent mix of music and was very engaging with customers including us. Lewis also played a few requests and was very knowledgable music wise - it was great chatting to him about music in general and he was spot on with his recommendation of Imelda May’s cover of the Northern Soul classic Tainted Love (which a certain band from Leeds may have covered early 80s too). Regular live music nights are very busy so while generally dog friendly, probably best to avoid taking the dog on live music nights. Thanks Lewis - your happiness was infectious and you made sure our last night in Aberdyfi spent at The Brit was top!

What a great spot! We had a great visit to this secluded pub on the beach. There are two places you can park, at the Golf Club car park with a cost of around five pounds through an app, from here you walk over the golf course on the path/road to the pub. Or, you can park further down on the National Trust car park and walk along the beach to the pub. We parked at the golf club, walked over the golf course and then walked back along the beach and back up to the golf car park. The beach walk is great. There was a DJ on when we went and that gave it a good atmosphere outside we did not sit inside as the weather was OK. Food was available although we did not order anything. Friendly staff who served at the outside bar. Be careful of the closing times as that can be early if there is not an event on.

First and last time that I use this place. Over inflated price for two bottles of pop. Can only assume that the extra £1.60 charged , was for the sponsored silence that every customer before and after us was greeted with by the member of staff serving.
