always a great service and food selection here. Been hear many times over the last 6 years and never had a bad time. reasonably priced, excellent selection and great friendly service. Good parking. lots of tables. and good bar.

I find it absolutely in-despicable that the owner is taking the tips for himself and not giving to the staff, which since June 1st 2024 is Illegal

Fast to get seated, extremely slow service. Curry was awful, pretty sure it was just a jar of Chinese (yes) cook in sauce with a few spices added. One of the worst curries I've had in the UK. On the flip side my wife and daughter liked their dishes so I guess it wasn't all bad. Would never go back.

Ordered a delivery through recommendations. Delivery driver rang me and asked where abouts we were . Gave him directions, and he started swearing down the phone saying he had been up and down the road twice . Rang viceroy who were very apologetic. Maybe they need new delivery drivers . Won’t be ordering again

Unfortunately poppadums were missing from the order but Viceroy sent the missing order plus extras. The food was delicious..we’re new to Bollington and we’ll definitely use them again.

The viceroy food and staff are so nice bit sadly i am moving so i wont be able to eat there anymore i will really miss the delicious food

Gorgeous 😍 we got here late on a Tuesday night, there were only 2 other people inside and the staff were fab. Food was so quick and tasted amazing 😍 they were happy to accommodate to any dietary requirements which we really appreciated! We ate so much and would love to come back!

Wonderful curry house in the heart of Bollington. Superb menu. Great food. Highly recommend.

Never had a bad meal, most of the staff are friendly. The old white-haired guy is always miserable. He puts the food in front of you like you're in the way. Could do with a few more onions with the poppadoms and dips. Apart from that it's ok.

A quiet Monday, and they managed to find a rasty meal for my wife, who can't eat spicy food, cream, onions and just about anything that goes into a tasty curry. I enjoyed mine too!

The time of the order moved later and later. it gets to a point when the time becomes too late.

This is our 'go to' restaurant for special occasions. Food is fabulous, service great. Quieter during the week but a little noisy Friday and Saturday. Definitely recommend.

This place is normally the best by miles, however ordered 2 chicken chilly fry startes (with lots of other food) but they must have run out of green chillies as there wasn't one green chilly in either of them. Poor show and then still charging you the full price!! Eat in better than takeaway! At least you can complain!

Really bad experience with viceroy Delivery was late then driver rang and said I needed to come out because he was outside I went out and there was nowhere there or any cars on the street When I told him he wasn’t at the right address he started arguing and kept telling me to come out I rang the viceroy and they said it wasn’t there problem because it was a just eat driver so they couldn’t remake the order to collect Eventually I walked up and down the street in the rain and found him right at the top of the street He clearly hasn’t wanted to get out of the car to check the number of the house but was happy for me to get wet trying to find him He eventually gave me the order through his car window with me standing in the middle of the street far away from my house, still didn’t bother to get out of the car The order was completely cold and I had to hear in the microwave Really unhappy with this service

Sorry but tonight's meal was poor by a long way I have been to returaunt so many times over the years Tonight it was I'd ordered from somewhere else I won't be ordering again sorry I expected better than that

Early evening service - excellent attention but be advised, if you aren't very hungry don't get the 4 person's special. We wasted too much but it was tasty. Good job lads.

Found this place through my daughters recommendation when she lived in Bollington. I travel 8 miles when there's lots more take-outs within a few minutes of my home in Hazel Grove. Why? Because the food is that good - Sagor Salmon is the best flavoursome curry I've ever had. My wife has Chicken Dilrubar ( a cheesy dish) - we always order those two and others for freezing.

This was our 2nd visit to this little hidden gem in Bollingtonas we were staying in a hotel around the corner and it was just as delicious as our 1st time staff are very friendly,do not fuss about you, once your sat down you are left to enjoy your meal and chat away without being disturbed the food is fresh & delicious & good value for money there is lots of choice a busy little place considering where it is would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant if your visiting Macclesfield

Utter rubbish from the watery chutneys, watered down cobra lager and bland tasteless curries at expensive prices. People who go regularly clearly don’t know anything about decent food!

Restaurant quality food at home!!! Service is always spot on, but tonight they went above and beyond. Our little uns favourite is a simple poppadom....... these were omitted from the delivery. Driver literally headed back to Restaurant, picked up poppadoms, more than ordered, full chutney tray and complimentary beer (I had the beer though)!!! Thank you to everyone at Viceroy. Great food, great service.

Usually a reliable and tasty meal, but on a busy Saturday night was a little disappointing. From having to flag down a waiter, to coleslaw with the poppadoms our chicken tikka starter looked the part, but had zero taste. Clearly made in a hurry. For the mains there were four, yes just 4, prawns in the curry and my hot chicken paneer was mild with a few burning chillis thrown in. The saag rice was amazing however. So, overall just an ok. Maybe we’ll avoid Saturdays in future.

It's a great friendly curry house with tasty food. And you can park outside without having to worry about your vehicle . It's in a very Mellow spot. You Might have to resort to Sat Nav to find it . If you don't know the area.

Best Indian food I have ever had. Absolutely outstanding. Went here when we were visiting area - wish it was local to us. Almost worth relocating for. Try their special sweet chilli curry it's fab.

Where to begin. The service is slow, it took 4 of us 30 minutes to be seated, then another 35/40 minutes between courses. In total we spent over 2.5 hours in this so called curry house. The poppadoms were great, however some of the selection of chutneys were just bazaar, one of them was like a poor imitation of coleslaw, the rest of the sauces were tasteless. Before we get into the starters, let’s talk about the most disgusting, overpriced pint of Cobra I’ve ever had. It tasted as though the lines had not been cleaned recently. It had the aroma of egg, the taste of beer that’s 6 months past its sell by date. The starter portion was small, however nothing to complain or comment about. Now, the main, possibly the most vile, disgusting, bowl of cream coloured slop I’ve ever attempted to eat. The chicken was hard, chewy and incredibly dry! The sauce of the curry had a horrible texture, it was thought someone got bored blending ingredients and said “sod it” and just threw it out to be served. We had a portion of garlic rice & mushroom rice with the dish. These were both disgusting and only added to the concoction of disgusting flavours on my plate. My partner had a “King Prawn” dish. What she received were not King, I wouldn’t even describe them as regular prawns. They had a mushy consistency and were avoided for fear of food poisoning. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant to anyone. Please save your money and eat somewhere else. I hope the building get’s converted into a nice 6 bedroom house with a pool. It’s a much fitting use for such a large plot of land.

We always have the best time at The Viceroy and have been visiting for years. The food is always fantastic and the service really friendly. Would recommend!

Great range of spice experiences and good VFM. The staff are welcoming and helpful and you can get everything from a mild korma-style dish to a really fiery (and tasty) ghurkali dish. Reccomended.

Brilliant friendly staff and excellent food, I'd even go as far as to say its the best Indian food I've ever had. And I come from the area of the balti. The amount of lamb in my meal was tremendous. Can't recommend this place highly enough

What an experience. Absolutely fabulous. Wished I lived nearby as would make this a local of mine. You order from the bar lounge first, then your then to seating. Food was so tasty. Went back on Wednesday 26th October 2022 with family. Enjoyed another great meal. I've added another 15 photos, which also includes the menu. The starters we had were Tandoori King prawns (3 spicy grilled prawns) at £5.95 and King Prawn Butterfly (shallow fried king prawns with a crunchy coating) at £6.10. For main course I had Chicken Tawa (Succulent pieces of chicken cooked with green chillies, red peppers, bay leaves and cinnamon providing a rich base; various turmeric powders are also used giving it a distinctive taste. Presented on a cast iron plate) This dish comes out sizzling. We also had rice, nans and a side dish of Bindi Bhaji (Okra) at £4.50.

Could not fault the staff or the food first rate from start to finish. Just wish this restaurant was nearer to where I live as we were on a weekend away. Highly recommend.

Firstly it took more than 50 minutes for our food to come. Curry was literally like prepared in tomato sauce. Hospitality: Waiter who took our order was a bit rude as we only ordered main which is in our right to do so.

Not a local, so tried this place on the first night of our stay in Bollington. Really good menu, and first impressions were if very friendly staff/owners. Decor quite dated, music too loud, but we were only ordering takeout so it wasn't a problem. Ordered lamb Kashmiri, mixed tandoori, rice, two naans £23. Came with a lovely fresh salad and a mild curry. Servings were generous and truly delicious, both my son and I were really impressed and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. But if I was to eat in, I'd want the music to be turned down... a lot! But can't fault the friendliness or the food!

I eat here every time I visit Bollington, the food is always excellent and the views are stunning. The customer service was exceptional this evening from our waiter (Rips). I highly recommend.

Went here on a Monday night as not much else open! But really enjoyed our meal, as locals told us we would. The manager is a really nice guy, friendly and attentive.
