Vesuvio Italian Woodfired Pizza in Hackney

The pizza was on the soggy side and the garlic bread was too doughy

My favourite restaurant is Aroma in Chingford, my second favourite restaurant is Lydia in Chingford, my 3rd favourite restaurant is Vesuvio Italian Woodfired Pizza. After that my 4th favourite restaurant is Modern Wing Chi Chef , my 5th favourite restaurant is Fortune Cat , my 6th favourite restaurant is Jaycan. Hawaiian pizza is the best pizza I've ever had anywhere else and Piasto Misto is gorgeous too, 100% better than chicken from Dixy restaurant, Dixy another one of my favourite restaurants number 7

I still haven't received the pizzas I ordered. I wanted to know if there was any problem?

I order from you guys very often but I am surprised that after weeks you still use low quality ingredients (like ham). Considering the price this should not be the case. I am very disappointed. The dough is very good.

Long wait for pizza. Good flavour but let down by a soggy bottom. If I pay £19 for a pizza I expect it to arrive quickly, fresh and hot. Vesuvio need to raise their game to win my business

Doesn’t look anything like the picture, definitely not the Italian stone baked style that I was expecting.

I do not recommend it, the taste is poor, it practically does not taste like anything, the food takes two hours to be sent, if you want to order here, try to do it 3 hours before your stomach starts asking for food, because it takes TOO LONG, the delivery arrived 10 minutes late after the scheduled time and the food arrived lukewarm, the pasta was overcooked and the flavor was definitely not good, it's not worth waiting two hours, don't order it for delivery.

Delicious food, polite delivery rider, had ordered in emergency, more than happy with the service.

Best pizza I have had in a long time.

It wasnt good and definitely not worth it's price. I'd rather order from l'antica which is quite overpriced as well but atleast tasty.

Food not nice and not what expected

The pizza was fine, but we got a wrong ice cream from what we ordered and paid!! We ordered haagen dazs and we got a Ben & Jerry’s with different flavor obviously!! The restaurant didn’t ask us if we are fine about the replacement or not, we just got a different order!

very good food, helpful staff and timely delivery; however, next time I recommend that the restaurant check the order better because it has forgotten a part of the order but immediately remedied it by sending the missing part.

Should of read more reviews or details on this before ordering.. Not sure if it was a wood fired pizza or not but definitely not traditional and not what I expected. More like a Thin base kabab shop pizza. Greasy pizza with way to much cheese. My pepperoni pizza only tasted of salt and fat had chopped mushrooms on, the kind you get from a jar not fresh. Not worth the £18.50 I paid! 2 star review as I have had worse.. Positives.. Arrived quickly and was still hot. Won't be ordering again..

Lasagne was tasteless and cold, it didn’t taste freshly made, was it a ready meal? The salad was missing all the sauce also

The pizza was not sliced, it was not baked and there were no napkins and ketchup and mayonnaise

This was absolutely disgusting. I order spaghetti bolognaise for my kids. It wasn’t a trace of mince meat but it was something like chopped can meat . My kids compare it with cat food and my little one had couple of bites and he vomited after. I tried it and it was absolutely disgusting. Don’t anybody try the food before it is sent out for delivery? This is a valuable lesson for me not to trust to order food unless you know the restaurant. You should be closed

75mins to get the food & the worst pizza I’ve ever had. So greasy, no flavour to the cheese, tomato sauce or any of the toppings. I threw it into the bin after one slice.

The food was stone cold when it arrived which was very annoying I was looking for forward to relishing it.

Food was good as usual, but App was not update to indicate that driver had left the restaurant. Drivers find property difficult to find, so important to know when the have arrived. Pudding average.

There was no egg, anchovies, cucumber or olives in my avocado salad as usual instead the salad had red onions which I am allergic to.

Food arrived more than 1hrs earlier (scheduled time) so by the time I got home pizza was cold (my partner took the order) You didn’t send my tiramisu which I paid for but chocolate cake which I didn’t order

Lower quality ingredients than is implied by the title of the restaurant - if you're looking for cheap style cheesy pizza then it's great, if you're looking for something hearty and rustic go elsewhere.

The pizza itself is great, but it was cold by the time it got here.

The food came over an hour and a half after the estimated time. We were actually informed that it had been delivered at 7:45 and it arrived at 8:45. The pizza and chicken was stone cold and the tirimisu (which had some point been in with the hot food with no protection) had completely melted.

This isn't an italian pizza. It's not bad, but definitely a rip off for the price. The quality isn't there. Don't say it's Italian when it's not, Italians like me will immediately recognize it. Liars.

Food was delicous, as always, and delivery was bang on-time - but the pizza looks like it was shook-up hard during delivery, and when I opened-it up it had been torn to pieces and scattered throughout the box. Not complaining - the pizza was a taste sensation - but it was less "slices" and more "whatever structural integrity you're able to salvage".

Received a cold pizza. Delivery time was an hour and very chewy and disappointing.

The pizza was great and delivered quickly, however our pasta dish was missing. Called the restaurant who said they’d send it but it didn’t arrive for over an hour later which meant one of our party didn’t eat. Not great. Requested a refund which was given.

King prawn pizza delicious... we always order it in the meal such great value and taste great every time ( would love an alternative option than wings on the meal deal :) ) totally recommend.

Good meat wise but the Tomato base was utterly tasteless which means you loose the quality of the meat The base it literally the base of the entire flavour so not sure why they cut corners there

Love your pizza but a lot of the time it’s so oily all of the topping just drops completely off of the pizza and dripping oil everywhere. Very messy but tasty.

First time from here and have to say it was very nice. They never let me know it was coming though and was slightly late which was a bit frustrating due to not knowing.

Mozarella is fuking industrial pizzas cold, garlic bread do not taste like garlic, and the pizza so bad. I'm chef and i waste my money eating this trash.

Burnt all over the bottom of the pizza, luke warm when it arrived, and I found a bit of gravel in the pizza.

Delivered earlier which is very good but pizza was burned. It looks like nan bread than pizza. Please check before paying this isn't genuine pizza provider. Wasted 18 quids for nothing.

Drowned in grease and toppings were cheapest possible. I would not reorder in a hurry.

Aye not bad not bad. Felt like a good quality pizza that was cooked in a bit of a hurry. I’d use a little more sauce and cook it for about 90 seconds longer. A little less oil in the dough to make it a tiny bit less floppy. All round good but with room for improvement.

Very nice pizzas and great service arriving well before the estimate. I didn't rate the sides we ordered (breaded mozzerella sticks) but maybe they just don't keep well.

It was 10 mins early from time given but still took just under an hour. Food was good and hot as usual.
