Nice, burger, perfect chips and delicious cocktails. Really enjoyed watching sport on TV and the atmosphere was one of the best I’ve found in pubs across London.

Very average Sunday lunch at exorbitant price...especially the wine..House wine was a poor quality Portuguese red..the options were all obscure wines at crazy prices. Not being regulars (?) we were squeezed into a small upstairs room next to the staff toilet...not very appetising ! The Queen's Head will not be seeing me again...!!

This place didn't feel overly pretentious. Staff lovely. Good selection of beers but all of the usual suspects. Music chilled not in your face. Toilets clean and pleasant

Went yesterday to watch the euros and whilst the atmosphere was somewhat good, I was extremely disappointed by the fact that the manager was racist and yes I said racist, I will not go into it, but it was very blatant by his actions towards my friend and another black male customer in the pub shocking and disgusting, sad that I’m writing this in 2024.

Dog friendly! 😀🐶 We sat towards the back of the pub on a Sunday early afternoon it was nice & quiet, roast dinner sorted out our hangovers & then they put the football on for us on the big screens. You have to go down a staircase to get to the toilets but they were newly done & clean. Also has shuffleboard but unfortunately this was already booked so we couldn’t play. Jessie was amazing - kept checking in on us and sorted everything we wanted to make it a great chilled relaxing afternoon. Thanks Jessie! 😀

We were fortunate to find a free table by the window on a bustling Thursday night. The service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed a delicious vegetarian sharing board that I would recommend (great corn ribs! 🌽) The cocktails were good, though a bit pricey at £12.

I was shaken to the core on a night out here. They played 1/3 of Dancing On My Own by Robyn and then changed the song. So unnerved by this & this is NOT a joke and truly violates best DJ practises

Friendly staff, good vibe, good beer selection.

The food was not good, and so overpriced. Staff were talking when our table had lots of empty glasses on it. Not much chicken on salad and pretty flavourless tbh. I’d avoid.

Went for a roast dinner. Service was EXTREMELY slow. Had to go and get our own menus after 15 minutes of waiting, then everything else also took ages. The food was honestly disappointing, I had way better roasts then this is London. Also took some deserts at the end, but they felt cheap and not worth the money, the brownies & ice cream was literally taken outside a ready pack. I would recommend to go there for a drink, definitely not for the food tho.

Lovely atmosphere with plenty of choice of beers

Lovely place. Wed 10/1/24- The goats cheese salad was abysmal. Can’t believe I paid for this. The cheese was a very poor goats cheese and actually unpleasant to the taste. Dry and nasty. I think it might have been off. There was an uncomfortable about of this offensive curd, stuck on an unconscionable amount of iceberg lettuce. All in all, a hugely disappointing meal and a huge financial sacrifice. £15 for this pathetic meal. I had to go home after eating it and prepare another dinner.

Had a Christmas meal here with my company (there where 20 people), not a single person was happy. The food was awful, cold and was served so slowly that starters and main courses came together. The desserts were appalling, they ran out of ingredients and replaced them at no notice. They even ran out of spoons! What restaurant runs out of spoons! Will avoid this place.

Great atmosphere, range of options - food and drinks. Good option for group lunch, dinner or drinks. Give it a try.

Good food, but long wait (35 minutes for nachos)

We booked a table here for drinks and dinner on a Friday night. Beside the £60 deposit fee, that I haven't received back yet, food was actually great and the staff was very nice. Beside this, the music was definitely too loud to be a pub, it looked more like a clyb, we could barely speak to each other, so probably won't come back for a dinner and drinks.

Attended a birthday party here. The staff and the security at the door were all really friendly. Drinks were good, and the small plates were delicious. Would definitely recommend. They had big screens to show the sport.

Nice hotel, slightly dated decor if that matters to you (although it seems they're going to do a refurb soon). The important things are there, large comfortable rooms and beds, excellent shower rooms and everything is spotlessly clean. There are better options for food nearby but the restaurant is ok if you can't be bothered to go out.

Very nice atmosphere - especially the staff! I can recommend watching any kind of sports there and get some drinks/food.

Sub standard pub. Bartender instigated an argument after taking ages to make a drink because he was training someone to make drinks. He proceeded to loudly complain about us to other customers and tried to instigate our group on several occasions. We requested to meet the manager who showed the same hostility. Unwelcoming staff and zero hospitality. The worst pub experience I have ever had in London.

Horrible service and horrible staff

Was disappointingly poor service where the bar staff took to an argument about making a margarita cocktail after 10 mins of ordering when there was no customer. He kept on while we were sitting and chatting amongst ourselves. It was a simple order of 2 whiskies, 1 mescals, 2 tequilas, 1 margarita.

Terrible service. Would not recommend. Smells like urine.

Took about an hour to bring the food out even though we were the only people there. The Burgers and sandwiches are very dry and overcooked.

Went here on a quiet Wednesday night. Looking for Goose Island but this is now just the Queen's Head. No bother. Same atmosphere inside. Pretty quiet for a Weds night so we had a table and plenty of space which suited our needs. A couple of the table ordered food - that looked good. Drinks as always were good - good selection of beer but only one cider on tap - although it was nice. No significant complaints - will likely go back.

Nice clean pub. Friendly staff and good choice of beers. They have two decent screens to watch football. I didn't eat there but the menu read well.

My first time visiting this ‘Brewpub with Kitchen’ and a pleasant surprise. Huge selection of international and craft beers (including Guinness, my tipple in the absence of cask ales). Really nicely refurbished in dark wood with lots of different seating options. Just popped in for a pint on this occasion and the member of staff who served me was friendly and engaging. Would definitely return with friends to eat.

The Phoenix rises from the ashes. The site of the Goose Island (Brewery?) becomes the Queens Head. A lovely building full of great beer (keg only today although I do spy a couple of hand pulls on the bar. Are these just cosmetic? The staff are lovely and the service is great. A most gorgeous place to visit. They are doing food as well if you have reached the stage in your life when you are on solids. Come along and enjoy.

Went on a Saturday night, loud and busy, which was fine.

Asked tor two glasses of wine. Offered the most expensive. Ordered another one and two large glasses for £21.60!!!’ Looked at wine menu on phone and a bottle was £24. What I don’t like is that the bar staff didn’t tell me to get a bottle instead. Won’t be back.

Visited today and were the first customers to try their Sunday roast. And boy it did not disapoint! Huge portion and delicious pork belly. The roasties were top notch and everything seasoned very well. It was the best roast from pub/restaurant i've experienced. Staff were delightful too. Lovely atmosphere and comfy. 10/10

Stopped for a pint of Hells, £6.10, had to ask for it to be topped up by an utterly unapologetic barperson, flat. Ballsing up a pint of lager is an achievment. At least it was cold.

Want to have the best night ever?! Look no farther. The staff at the Queen’s Head are by far the best bar staff I’ve ever encountered. They were kind, accommodating and most of all fun!! (For context our group had 2 birthdays with a big group expected, and another bar cancelled on us day of) the Queen’s Head team not only helped us find tables, but they were quick to pour drinks, dealt with unruly customers expertly, and made us all feel right at home! I will certainly be booking my next big party here first! Thank you for making our night amazing!

Finding its legs after the change in management. Really liking the new seating arrangements. Would like to see more darks on tap especially during stout season. Missing the Vault City beers.

So the queens head has just re-opened under new management and I have to say it’s excellent! Great beers and great new vibe. On top of this sadly a clumsy customer knocked candle wax all down my partners and my coats. Without even asking the general manager, Rob, came over and offered to dry clean our coats and gave us some free food, (which was delicious) for our inconvenience without any fuss. Rob thanks for sorting us out, true gent and much appreciated. Look forward to coming back :)
