Venezia Restaurant in Trafford

Without doubt the worst restaurant experience i have ever had. we were a party of around 20 - 30. booked in advance and pre ordered all food. Drinks took an age to arrive, then starters came an hour later...i am currently still waiting for my main meal!!! my tummy thought my throat had been cut and i have eaten more when stranded on an island for 4 years with my good friend Wilson, god rest his soul. In total we were here for around 3 hours, most of that time spent waiting for food or drinks. The food was poor and a number of our party returned their food. Just really poor customer service, owner just sat at the bar and left the young waitress' to deal with the unrest (we were not the only unhappy party in there). Needless to say, if i never go back here again it would be too soon. Terrible food, terrible service, and an owner that couldnt give a monkeys! Avoid at all costs.

Quite possibly one of the worst meal experiences I have ever had. Starters took around 1hr and mains the same. Most of party had food that was inedible and was returned to Kitchen. Food was missed of orders as was drink, constantly had to chase for both. Will never, ever return.

We were celebrating my grandsons 18th birthday with a meal Where do I begin Arrived at 1800,we had pre ordered our food and we ordered drinks and sat waiting for our starters which finally came at 1900. We waited for 1hr for the main course to arrive told it would be another 30mins, free drinks came ,45mins later still no food came so we cancelled our main and left in all we waited 2hr 45 mins not good enough.

This is an amazing restaurant, not sure why people leave 1 star reviews with no comment as it’s clearly a false review, in my opinion maybe this person ‘Tonin’ doesnt like the owner or is up to something.

A disaster. My son's meal did not turn up which we ordered as a takeaway. I called the restaurant and they said they would deal with it. Never did, did not receive the meal and the restaurant did not answer my calls. I will not order again at this restaurant.

Takeaway ordered, no delivery 2 hours later, once chased up delivery arrived cold and incorrect. Insufficient service, will never be ordering from Venezia again.

I absolutely love, love, love this restaurant. I have been coming here over the last 25 years. It has changed hands over this time, and the current new owner has renovated the property, changed the menu, and has kept the atmosphere and service first class. My sister was over from Australia, so we booked early and had a great evening as a family together. Thank you so much. We'll be back soon.

Been to Venezia tonight, the food was absolutely gorgeous, garlic bread half tomatoes half plain, crisp bottom and stunning flavours, lasagne best ever, huge portion (took half home), prawn spaghetti friend said equally excellent, a lemoncello to finish served by the lovely smiley polite Chloé, will 100% be back, Thankyou xxx

Ordered two takeaway calzone, service was okay and fairly quick from order to receiving food. However on opening the boxed calzone ordered with salad I saw what can only be described as a sad folded bit of dough sat in a large puddle of water, the sauce within the calzone was also bland and watery and for 20 quid without even sitting in I would expect more. As I did not eat in i cannot comment on the atmosphere but the staff were okay

What’s happened to this place??? Has it changed owners as it used to be good? Absolutely shocking food, terrible, several family members have been I’ll in the night and the next day. Will not be coming back!

We had a really good experience at the restaurant. The service was top notch by a gentleman not sure of his name. Also the food was good with big portions and reasonable prices.

Had a pizza and a lasagne. Both were excellent, lasagne was a little bit on the small side but quality was excellent. Service was great and only too accommodating when we arrived without a booking. Can't wait to go back.

Probably the last time we will eat at Venezia. It used to be a good restaurant with great service but no longer. For a simple quick meal of pizza and salad for two we were there for nearly two hours. The salads were slow to appear, but nothing compared to the pizzas - we finally had to ask what had happened to them. Had to ask for pepper. Had to ask for a sharp knife. The staff seemed more interested in their social life than in the customers. And there was no excuse that it was busy - just one other table occupied. The pizza was OK but nothing special. Very disappointed at the decline of a decent restaurant.

Ordered here for delivery a few times and food always amazing so decided to book a table for a family birthday, the second we came in we received such a warm welcome and such lovely smiles from the staff, the food was amazing and the staff and ownership are lovely, couldn’t have done more than enough for us, i wrote on the booking reservation that it was a birthday and asked for no specific request but we arrived and they had bought birthday balloons for the table and a card, could not fault one bit of the food and the service is amazing! after the owner saw us waiting outside for our taxi (which unfortunately didn’t show) he didn’t hesitate to invite us all back in and even gave us some drinks on the house. Definitely my new favourite spot in sale

Having seen the review ratings (from 2019 unfortunately), I booked this restaurant for a very special Mother’s Day for my mum as it was the first with all her grandchildren present, and my first flying in from aboard to be with the family. Firstly, I made the booking days before yet we were positioned right next to the toilets and busy staff room with constant traffic - with 4 children under the age of 10, two of which are toddlers - while there were empty tables elsewhere. Secondly, the olives and calamari starters were awful - only ordered two of the simplest starters to quicken the mains for the kids. To really ruin the special occasion, we had no choice but to leave the restaurant with now hunger and upset children after waiting over 1.5hours for the mains. And it seemed despite our previous enquiries to where our food was (one attempt for attention which was obviously ignored by who seemed to be the male manager), the restaurant was focused on getting takeaways ready because the well-manned kitchen appeared to making food that wasn’t being served in the restaurant. Previously a table next to us had already walked out mid meal with a promise to never return. The restaurant refused our payment for the drinks (one very awful free glass of wine Mother’s Day promo and soft drinks) and the starters (which one older child try to force herself to eat to appease her hunger). The kids were offered lollipops on our way out - very thoughtful for kids on empty stomachs and close to bedtime. Did these gestures make up for ruining our special generational Mother’s Day dinner? NO. ‘Best Italian in Manchester’? Most definitely NOT, not even in Sale. ‘Authentic Italian’? NO, not even Mediterranean. ‘Attentive staff’? NO, and a suggestion to Management - do not have a ‘look in’ kitchen if your chefs are going to be arguing with each other. One star is very generous.

I put a request through their website for a reservation and didn’t hear back. So I called and booked a table with no issues. Arriving to a near empty restaurant at 8pm on Saturday night isn’t a great start. There were just 2 people in there. Two other tables turned up half an hour later. As we were seated I noticed the table was partly set up. One small plate, (4 place table) no forks on my side. Too many flies, it’s not something I’d pick up on but there were a few and they were annoying. The young waiter and waitress were really friendly and polite. The restaurant was boiling. My partner had to leave his meal part way through to step outside for minute. I chose mozzarella and goats cheese wrapped in pastry. Far too much goats cheese I has to scrape a load of it out. Main was meatballs and spaghetti. Absolutely zero flavour to any of it. I never leave food but honestly I could of made better myself and that’s saying something! My partner enjoyed his Lobster pasta. Bottle of wine was just ok. There are usually a few guys loitering outside this place on a day to day basis sitting around outside. Sorry I won’t be returning. There were so many good reviews I’m confused!

Very quiet for a Friday night. Good service (probably because it was so quiet). Starters were fine (garlic bread & meat balls) however, the chicken was over cooked and dry for two of the mains that were ordered. Because it was so quiet there was no atmosphere and it was very cold in the restaurant, we had to sit with our coats on and we had cold feet.

Excellent food and very very good service. Staff attentive and friendly. Food was faultless. Highly recommended.

Visited tonight for the first time having had a couple of take outs through lockdown. What a lovely meal! Visited with hubby, 5yo daughter, baby and my in laws. We'll all be back. Mussels in creme (x3) and prawns for starters. Filetto rossini (x3) and pollo venezia for mains for adults. My eldest had a large margerita and it was delicious. Easily big enough for the baby to have a couple of slices. We all ate every mouthful and enjoyed it thoroughly. They brought the girls' pizza out first (if you know, you know!) and they both had a lovely ice cream. My eldest and I were allowed to go back in to the back so she could add he own sauce and fruit to her ice cream, which she loved. Fab selection of wine and the house white was delicious and chilled perfectly. We visited Cibo recently and it was not a patch on this place for a fraction of the price. Keep it up Albie and team!

Not the cheapest in town but definitely a great experience in food & ambience

Even on a quiet Tuesday you get a warm greeting and great food. Nice starters of house pate and the goats cheese ( good portions) washed down with Prosecco. All highly recommend - use our local restaurants when you can or we will lose them.

Consistently very good food and service here, highly recommended. The garlic breads and pastas are always sensational.

First time I've been here for a long time. The staff are very friendly and helpful as is the owner. The menu is varied should be enough to satisfy any Italian food lover . I had the linguini with bacon and mushrooms which was very nice. All in all a pleasant evening . Well worth a visit. I will be coming back as I sat near the open kitchen and there were plenty of other dishes I would like to try..😃 Thanks.

Can’t fault!! From the moment we walked into this restaurant to leaving we could not fault our experience at all! The service was top notch, friendly, welcoming and fun! The feeling I got was they would do anything to ensure you had the best experience. Drink order came straight away and that gave us time to look over their amazing menu! The food was presented beautifully and was hot and tasted amazing. I have been to Italian restaurants before that state their food is fresh (most of the time it isn’t and is frozen) and you could DEFINITELY tell this food is fresh and made with love. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fun and enjoyable. They would dim the lights slightly to sing happy birthday and it made everyone feel included, by the end of the night all tables were speaking to each other and it felt like one big family. Would highly recommend Venezia to anybody that loves authentic Italian cuisine and a beautifully clean restaurant.

Absolutely stunning! Food quality is brilliant and keeps it quality with a takeaway (lockdown). Me and my partner miss our date nights to the restaurant. Absolutely wonderful (yet again). Beautiful and quality restaurant food at home. I never knew that a delivered steak could taste just as yummy as eating it in the restaurant but I’ve been given a learning. If you’re finding Lockdown 2.0 difficult, miserable and without joy: treat yourself to a reasonably priced but amazing quality restaurant experience at home. The seafod risotto was exceptional. It was slightly spicy and full of flavour. The kind of dish, if you knew how good it was going to be, you would pay more for. I really hope that the restaurant survives this awful period and I will definitely go back.

Love the food, and fantastic service, family atmosphere

Food was good but it was very busy. It was an eat out to help out night and the waiters were rushed off their feet. The food was tasty and the right portion size.

Great food great staff great place

Ate here last week for our first meal out after lockdown. It was superb! Slow cooked lamb shank and veal in a cream and mushroom sauce just melted in the mouth. There was nothing about the meal that we could fault. We'll be back soon.

I usually go to Linguine in town for Italian food and since it’s been closed with the lockdown, I decided to give this place a chance as the menu is fairly similar. Delivery was swift but the food itself was so vile that it went straight to the bin. Lobster ravioli was dry with bits of overcooked prawn, the tiny little bit of sauce that it came with was tasteless. It’s really hard to ruin a steak and unfortunately they succeeded, it was chewy and overcook. I hate giving a restaurant a bad review but honestly the food was so awful.

I was looking for a special meal for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and I was not disappointed. I am usually sceptical when it comes to food delivery but let me reassure you Venezia didn’t let me down. The delivery was 10 minutes early and the driver was very professional and polite. The food was hot and travelled well. Fabulous portion sizes and good products used. All that was missing was the restaurant ambience and the waiter with the huge pepper mill. You have definitely gained a new restaurant customer once this lockdown is over and the Tiramisu was amaaaaaaaazzzzzzzziiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggggg.Many Thanks

We read a lot of great reviews on Facebook and so ordered a takeaway tonight for our wedding anniversary. We chose to collect. The calamari for starters was lovely, then a 4 cheese pizza and spaghetti a vongole. Everything delicious. They even gave us a tiramisu. Would recommend

Ordered a delivery today via JustEat and have to say, I am extremely disappointed with the quality and the taste of the food. The boiled Veggies that came with my main was disgusting and so was the stroganoff. I would even go to the extreme of saying that it’s probably one of the worst meal that I ever had. I hate to give a bad review to a restaurant but I was extremely disappointed and would never order again. I cannot understand how this place is getting those reviews considering the quality of the food they serve.

We should have been abroad celebrating the above but these are strange times to say the least! We ordered through Just Eat. The estimated delivery time was 55 minutes, it came in 35. The food was piping hot and beautifully presented. Every dish was delighful but the highlight was my filleto rossini which was cooked to perfection. Thank you Albi & co for making our evening

What an amazingly kind man. During this terrible time of lockdown to supply the elderly and NHS workers with a FREE Sunday roast today. My mum thoroughly enjoyed it and we both thank you so much and feeling very emotional at your kindness. We can not wait to visit your restaurant as soon as we are allowed to do so ♥️

The food here is top notch, a lot of it is homemade including the chips, pizza and even the pasta which at 31 years of age ive never had homemade before (im very cultured I know 😅), would recommend if you want a really good meal that beats your standard takeaway hands down.

Just had a takeaway from VENEZIA, my favourite meal, fillet steak with pepper sauce. Absolutely fantastic. Well done Albi. We need to help local businesses through these troubled and worrying times. VENEZIA takeaway is excellent.
