We ordered two cappuccino one normal and one with almond milk, and two slices of banoffee millionaire, everything was delicious, the staff is very kind and the place is very peculiar.

A lovely vegetarian, environmentally conscious cafe. The vegan scones were fabulous, the only thing I’d say is to serve tofu in smaller chunks to maximise the flavour! Other than that everything was spot on :)

I visited this cafe with my 1 year old yesterday and had a fantastic experience. All staff are lovely and I was served by Anna who was incredibly helpful. The cafe was very busy so we had to wait for a table. Anna continued to update us on a table becoming available. The food is amazing and a really lovely atmosphere. Kid friendly (high chairs available and kids menu). If I was local this would become a regular place for me to eat.

One of the nicest cafes I have been to for a long time. Very generous and delicious portions of vegetarian and vegan food, in a relaxed atmosphere. All with excellent service.

I recently visited Velocity Café, and I was absolutely blown away! The cosy atmosphere immediately made me feel welcome, with its warm friendly staff and perfect for a casual meet-up or a quiet place to get some work done. The coffee? Phenomenal. It was hands down one of the best I've ever tasted—rich, smooth, and full of flavour. You can tell they use high-quality beans, and the baristas are experts at what they do. But it’s not just about the coffee Velocity has an impressive selection of homemade pastries and served local, seasonal produced goods. It’s clear they put thought into every item on the menu best place for vegan and vegetarian choices The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, always with a smile and ready to offer recommendations. If you're looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy amazing coffee and treats, Velocity should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to come back!

Was riding from John o groats to lands end and needed a new wheel after a pothole issue . The mechanic was really rude and wouldn’t help at all.! Do I decided to get some food and then was told not allowed to bring a bike in even though it’s a cycle cafe ( my bike was really expensive with lots of parts on it for the journey . Very unfriendly , unhelpful place unlike other bike shops nearby .

This cafe is first class for vegetarians (and, of course, others who just fancy a break from meat or fish)! Delicious healthy food and a really varied menu. We always eat there when we go to Inverness. Great relaxed atmosphere as well—feels like it is a community hub.

The cafe is very cute, the location is also great as it is in the city centre but on a street which is not very touristic. I had a delicious soup with gluten-free bread! It was lovely to find out that they are very knowledgeable about the coeliac disease. I also had a super creamy cappuccino with soya milk! Also, they didn't charge more for the milk alternative, which I think is super nice. Highly recommended cafe!

We wanted to find a spot with fresh produce and would cater for intolerances. We found this little gem and it was incredible!! If you have gluten & dairy intolerances this place is the place! Warm & welcoming from the get go, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were some of the best we’ve ever had! Without a doubt coming again and a must visit if in Inverness!

Love it! We ordered the burrito and the avocado toast and both were delicious!! I never imagine a veggie burrito would be so good 😍 Too bad I am just visiting, I would come back here every day!

In the past, I have struggled to go to a place in Inverness that fits what I like to eat and the atmosphere. I finally found the place. This is a great place for vegetarian food, with lovely staff looking after you. There is a real community feeling where everyone is trying their best to add their bit for every body else's benefit. Great food and place. Went twice on a same trip and will repeat for sure.

OMG! I was craving pancakes which I usually don't care for for breakfast and are difficult to find gluten free but these pancakes OMG did not disappoint!!! I think I'm still dreaming about them. And what a great place Velocity is! If I lived here I'd so participate in their activities. I love places like this because they make you feel so welcomed.

Really friendly staff and vibe as soon as you walk in. The menu is great too, so many good choices for GF that it's actually really hard to choose what you want!! Coffee great too.

Really great little place. I'm glad I don't live in Inverness as I'd spend all my money eating out here every day. I had a vegan cooked breakfast that wasn't just your normal vegan breakfast, each item had been home cooked and thought about. Super tasty. Staff were friendly and relaxed atmosphere too. In a country where most breakfast is either a Full Scottish breakfast, a pastry, or a toasty, Velocity adds delicious options that left my wife and I beyond happy. She got the avocado toast and said it was better than her homemade. I got the breakfast burrito and it was incredible.

Passed by this café on our way to our airbnb, already looked really cute, so we returned the next day for coffee and brunch. Super cozy place, food and coffee were absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and the overall atmosphere is amazing. Serves vegan food (also gluten free) as well as vegetarian options that can be made vegan. We returned the next day for something more coffee bc we enjoyed it so much.

Absolutely adore this wee hidden gem. Really exciting food menu, top tier coffee and the service is second to none.

This is the best cafe I’ve ever been to. The food is delicious, interesting, varied and healthy, the staff are great and the place has a strong identity and ethos supporting the local community through various projects including healthy lifestyle projects and projects raising awareness about climate change, mental health and the arts. The bicycle shop & workshop next door is a brilliant idea too. What a great concept which is so well translated in this lovely place.

I loved their food, drinks and ethos. Had the mouth-watering oyster mushroom gyro. Good food for the taste buds and belly. Good community for people and the planet. We were looking for a place to eat in Inverness; at first I thought the prices were a bit expensive but when I looked at the menu items I got excited to eat here and there food did not disappoint. It was creative, exciting and everything tasted excellent. It was also a fun experience as several of the dishes had layers of items we kept discovering as we ate. I had the weekly special, huevos rancheros, my husband had the hommus plate and my daughter had the granola. We shared between us and loved all the dishes, but the hommus plate was probably the best. The coffee was also excellent and this was great as we haven't had many other good cappuccinos yet in Scotland. I am not exaggerating to say this is the best coffee we have had so far in Scotland. Definitely worth the price tag.

We recently visited this lovely cafe as we were passing through Inverness. The cafe has a lovely feel with loads of vegetarian and vegan options, to the extent that I struggled to chose! The staff were very friendly and were even kind enough to switch my bagel as I forgot to say vegan option when ordering! Also would recommend the biscoff pancakes 🥞 for pudding. Worth a visit if you're in the area, 5 stars!

Amazing little vegetarian cafe next to the train station with a wide selection of healthy breakfast options and friendly staff. A special thank you to the friendly mechanic at the workshop who sorted out my drivetrain and adjusted my headset. You're a legend!

I give it 1 star because it doesn't allow zero. Velocity only has the name, very very slow, my clothes filled with the smell of food, the coffee tasteless, 25 minutes to make 2 totally bland scrambled eggs. Very expensive for what they offer. 4 people serving and they are slower than a snail. Horrible experience.

If you're going to charge so much for a veggie breakfast it needs to be VERY good this was not. The haggis and black pudding were really good but other that nothing positive to say. When going to pay we were not even asked how our food was. The was a table full of food where other customers had clearly felt as disappointed as we were. We only ate it as we were starving.

Food is absolutely 10/10. As a vegetarian I wanted to try haggis and black pudding and here I could! Cool experience. If you are veggie and love a good classic UK breakfast plate I recommend the classic breakfast. Girlfriend had a halumi bagel and that was also amazing. No extra charge for plant based milk and the food was served extremely fast. Need I say more??

What a little gem in the city! Met a friend for coffee, was amazed at the huge selection of vegan bakery items on offer, which were huge in size and low in price. The savoury scones were delicious and absolutely massive. The coffee was strong, hot and woke me right up. Table service was a little slow but it was a busy Sunday so not an issue for us, more time to catch up! Would absolutely return.

French toast was delicious if you’re a sweet tooth. And my friends all had the big breakfast and that looked amazing too. Would go back here in a heartbeat, especially to try some of the cakes in the cabinet.

Found Velocity by a happy accident today. Bright and inviting....all staff very warm. Very dog friendly too, welcoming our black lab Friday, with open arms and a bowl of water. I had a cooked breakfast as I wanted to taste vegan haggis (it being Burns Night) and black pudding, mushrooms, fried egg, spinach, tasty spicy mixed beans and bread and butter (the young man kindly gave me chunky white bread as I'm not keen on sourdough😇) my partner had the pea, courgette and basil soup with sourdough, I had a taste as he said it was delicious, and it was! There was an array of vegan cakes (which looked divine) ....for another time but we did purchase an humongous cheese and basil scone for later. Top marks....they mend bikes too. 🥰

Been a customer on and off since Velocity first opened, it's reassuring that independent cafés can still survive, and thrive, even in places like Inverness. Lovely spacious café with a comprehensive menu with lots of vegan and veggie options. Thoroughly enjoyed my veggie breakfast and apple juice, followed by a vegan caramel brownie and espresso which were also excellent. Very dog friendly too! Would definitely recommend for food, coffee, and cake if you're in Inverness.

Every time I'm in Inverness, I make sure to visit Velocity. And I always suggest it to friends. Most recently, my partner and I popped in for breakfast and walked out feeling nourished in more ways than one. I love the hearty and healthy food as well as the warm atmosphere!

Friendly service and really nice atmosphere in the place. Food was lovely and there’s something for everyone even if you’re not veggie. Was busy at weekend lunch time but didn’t have to wait long for a table at all.

I visited on November 28th, it was my 3rd visit here and it's always so good, everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. The parsnip + apple soup is delicious, the vegan scone was one of the best scones I've ever had, and warmed up which was a bonus. The cafe is very cosy + comfortable inside, and the seasonal illustrations on the window are very whimsical too.

Christmas evening menu was great, thoroughly enjoyed it.

This place was so good, in every way. The food was fresh and so full of flavor. I had the squash bagel and my partner enjoyed the cooked breakfast. Our daughter had the blueberry pancakes. The bagel was so yum, I’ve never had anything like it and the flavor combination was to die for. The staff working were happy, chatty and made our experience at their cafe even better. They also played great music! Thanks for having us!

Not here to give a bad review, as the staff were lovely and my flat white was spot on but the chef REALLY needs to tie their hair back and put some chef friendly clothes on, looked extremely unhygienic. The baggy pants that were worn were constantly needing pulled up, all the while handling peoples food.

Visited this cafe for a query with a bike before a trip. The food was excellent, and the service is friendly. The cafe itself has a nice vibe and is very clean.

This place has some pure food, occasionally inspired combos. Watch out for a decent amount of protein tho. Coffee isn't what it was.

So woke, the food wasn't good. Eaten here before and usually happy with the food but today....my goodness, never had a breakfast so bad. Bland, dry, lacked flavour. Incredibly disappointing.

I visited this cafe on my daughters recommendation,,,,,,,,and had a great experience! Service was fantastic, I simply had a coffee but my daughter says their food is outstanding. They are also super dog friendly, so my collie got tons of attention which he loves! The decor and artwork on the walls is fab and in soothing shades of blue,,,,,I like that the cafe is a social enterprise and hosts community events,,,,a great find,,,,I highly recommend a visit...

Great spot for a veggie meal. The food is delicious, the place looks nice and the staff is friendly and efficient. The pulled oyster mushrooms were particularly good. The manager should add an option to leave a tip on the card machine though.

We visit this establishment once a year, as we pass through Inverness on our way home. It's a treat at the end of our holiday. We both ate a cooked breakfast, one vegetarian and one vegan. They were delicious. We also had oat milk lattes and purchased a number of cakes for the journey home, as their cakes are always delicious. Highly recommended for vegetarians and vegans and veggie curious. Sadly, I needed to reduce the number of stars on service, as our paid for order was incomplete and one member family found they were missing their cake at teatime and we were over 200 miles away from the cafe, so no way of rectifying the mistake . Lesson learned count your cakes before you head off.

Everything great about this place! Welcoming staff! An interesting menu different from the usual standard offerings! My choice of Halloumi Bagel with the extra bits was delicious! The homemade bagel was more like a roll but all the better for this!

Hier gibt es sehr leckeres vegetarisches Essen in ausgefallenen Kreationen. Die Eggs Benedict auf Halloumi und Pilzen haben wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt und auch wenn ich anfangs dachte, dass die Portion etwas größer sein könnte, war ich doch gut gesättigt. Einziger Kritikpunkt: ich fand es wirklich unangenehm laut im Café mit vielen Gästen.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Eine guter Halt für Radfahrer, da es eine Fahrradwerkstatt gibt. Tisch reservieren wird empfohlen.
