The headline says it all. When drawn to the attention of the manager, it wasn’t considered important. Just different approaches to hygiene in eating places I guess.

I bought a sandwich from the Pret store on Deansgate in Manchester. I have a £5 donation to the Pret Foundation out of my account which I did not approve nor wish to make. I have spoken to the branch who tell me that I must have inadvertently tapped my card on a separate machine to make the donation. I recall when being asked to pay, there were 2 pay machines side by side. When asked to pay, I tapped my card on what I thought was the pay machine. I was told I had not tapped the pay machine but was not told what the machine was which I had tapped, was not told that this would make a payment to the Pret Foundation, was not asked what amount (if any) I would like to donate and, when the staff member noted that I had tapped the wrong machine, I was not advised that a donation would be attributed to my card nor was I asked if I wished to cancel that. I now have the hassle of contacting an external agency to seek a refund. As an aside, no customers or staff were wearing masks and the indifference in which the staff treated customers, frankly the staff looked like they hated their job.

Hello I’m a couple of weeks late with this but on Sunday 26th September we visited your Veggie Pret in Manchester on Deansgate with my son. He was cold and wet due to having just watching his brother play football. We walked in and were greeted by the happiest smile! He helped my son choose what he wanted, as I ordered some other bits. At the end, he explained that he got a free item per day and he was giving his to my son. He was so so happy and even a month on he still speaks about this “kind man”. When we hear of a good deed he says “that’s like that man in the veggie shop”. He walked out so happy and so did I, just a small kind gesture cheered him up and he couldn’t understand why this man had given him a free cake! I wanted to email and say this man (Josh, I asked his name) is an absolute asset to your company. He was warm and friendly to everyone from the minute they walk through the door, to the minute they leave!

I have been going to Pret for a couple of years now. I was really excited when the first veggie Pret opened in London so I was, of course, delighted with the opening of this one. -The inside is very green, I personally love it as it's a change to the normal one. Everything to the cutely is green. - Lovely little space behind the bar with comfy seats you can hide away in on your lunch break. -If you prefer to sit on a barstool and look out of the window then they have that option too - Lots more vegan options - Great location - Provides an experience as I have not come across vegan tuna sandwiches or vegan egg and cress anywhere else. It's a real treat if you have not had these in a while. Vegan Cookie and croissants for the sweet tooth. For the bad, they always seem to run out of the vegan mac and cheese. Not had it in stock for the past 5 visits. The soup is lovely but sometimes a bit too repetitive. Would love some other options to the classic tomato and the mushroom one that I keep seeing. More veggie prets in different areas would be fantastic! Will be back for lunch before I even know it!

So great to see that there’s a lot more vegan sandwich options now, hopefully they will be here to stay so I get chance to try them all. Vegan pastry was super tasty as well.

We discovered this PAM while walking around, and decided to have a break for coffee and tea. The place is very centrally located and looks quite similar to the 'regular' PAM's, although this one is geared towards vegetarians. The choice is OK. The service was OK. The food we had (a fruit salad, a carrot cake, a croissant almond) was OK. I had a ginger-lemon infusion but found it too sweet. It wasn't a freshly brewed pot of tea/infusion, but came from a Tetrapak. It was chilly inside. I found it interesting to discover the place but wasn't impressed with the overal atmosphere, and didn't find it exceptional a concept.

Although neither Veggie nor Vegan myself this - Veggie Pret - newcomer to Manchester is just great. A chiller packed full of lovely fresh artisan sandwiches, wraps & salads this place is exactly right. Open 12-hours a day I have a feeling that we'll see many more Veggie Pret's around the country. Hope so.

Great to see this is now a Veggie Pret. Lots of choice and, going on a Saturday afternoon, this appears to be working well with customers. But its it's really annoying when you ask for something, in this case tropical tea, and you end up with English instead. Small issue but I suggest it reflects the understanding of English by some of their staff. If ordering something larger I would suggest making sure they know exactly what you want as mix ups can be timely to rectify.

Only one person serving. Could barely speak English. Recently refurbished and comfortable chairs removed to give it a school canteen look. Food is good but spoiled by the usual cynicism applied to customers in these establishments

Fui aquí para un almuerzo de sábado - realmente me gustó la hamburguesa de pollo tirón que tuve - había un montón de eso también! Definitivamente recomendaría

The service & staff were pleasant. The food was little better than mediocre. The most outstanding aspect of this experience of eating at Greggs, Cherry St Birmigham was the filthy condition. There were straws on the seats. Servietes on the floor and ripped up sugar containers, all littering the floor. The place wasn't that big and would only have taken 3 or 4 minuets to clean. I asked how they can serve people food in such a dirty environment. I was told they were too busy to clean. I said what about the 2 people in the back, that I could clearly see. She siad do you want to go and ask them? I declined. They have got their priorities wrong. Clean first, serve food second, but then I suppose it's all about making money. I certainly won't go back, and nor will I go to another Greggs.

I had the vegan breakfast which exceeded my expectations, although I felt the placement of a spring roll and falafel was quite random. It was the first time I tried tofu and it was extremely nice. Even the toast was spot on! For £6, it was good value for money, especially knowing I could eat everything in the cafe without having to worry. The smoothies were nice too, but were a bit more like juice since they weren’t as thick as a smoothie. I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe as everyone was so friendly there, it really reminded me of a cafe I used to work at with its chill atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. They’re also on this fantastic app called ‘Too Good To Go’ which gives you the food a place has leftover at the end of the day at a reduced price so that it doesn’t go to waste! Definitely check it out if you want to save food from being wasted, or just fancy a surprise for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Friendly and welcoming little cafe. Lovely coffee, good service, best cakes. We had the banana bread -moist, spiced and topped with nuts and seeds- and an iced lemon polenta cake also delicious.

Revisited the cafe a couple of times last year. First in Oct where I had a sausage and egg on toast and some tea. Nothing remarkable as the sausage was of the cheap variety. Bought a couple of slices of the fruit cake which looked nice to take away and it wasn't bad! Staff were really nice and there was seating at the back, beyond the store front. Second time was for breakfast after a morning walk. We ordered 2 breakfasts - can't remember which but they were huge! Very impressed when it arrived and the sausages were of much better quality. Very pleased with what we had then but sadly the cafe isn't open as early now so we can't really go before work like we were able to in the past. The cafe has been closed for a while now but hopefully we will be able to visit for brekkie when it reopens.
