Amazing service and waiters were very friendly and helpful! The drinks were so worth the price and the atmosphere was very enjoyable.

My friend and I randomly discovered this venue. It seemed promising on arrival but was not an experience either of us would repeat or recommend. The food was reasonable, but not at all outstanding. Trying to receive any food advice from the management was basic and patronizing. The assistant was polite enough, but she seemed like she was walking on eggshells. She did not radiate any kind of happiness in her role. The manager, who was more passionate about letting people know he is 'The Boss and Owner' of 'His new business'. He did not recommend or explain any food with any passion, it was more akin to a withering patronizing comment. When I did finally order my food, and it arrived, it was good. Not exceptional, but we were hungry and it was what we were happy to eat as an avoidance of the local fast food choices in the same vicinity. However, my friend's food arrived quite sometime later, no sooner than 15 mins after mine had arrived. I ordered one main dish (rice is not included), one side, and a smoothie, which totalled £19! It was a small quantity of food. I am used to Caribbean food being fairer priced for better. I requested some hot sauce to accompany my meal, the female staff member was happy to bring me a portion of what she told me was a 'homemade' sauce. Once she had brought it out, she continued to inform me that that it costs more money. It turned out the hot sauce cost £2 for an amount no greater than 15ml. I had already spent the equivalent of the cost of a meal for two in my local NW Caribbean Food places. And now another £2 for a small amount of sauce which was not fully explained as to what was in it besides scotch bonnet. As the cost of a glass of fresh smoothie is £4, I felt a measure of this thin liquid sauce at £2 for a tablespoon quite shocking. I understand that a business intention is to make money, but that is just pushing the boundaries of pretentious behaviour. Nowhere in the world have I ever met a chef/cook/food place owner who lacked the display of passion for explaining his food or checking on the customer's satisfaction during the meal. The food was good, but the experience in total did not make us feel like our money was well spent. In the future, I will be sure to avoid this pretentious little establishment and research a more appealing food place with value for money and decent staff.
