Power Station Restaurant & Wine Bar in Wandsworth

While on our way to either New York City or Philadelphia, and again on the return trip, we have passed by this restaurant, numerous times, without stopping. On a recent trip, our curiosity got the better of us and we finally stopped to recharge our empty stomachs. Thinking that we were about to enter your typical pub-grub establishment, were we ever in for a surprise! The post-industrial decor was very chic, which immediately impressed us. Friendly waitstaff greeted and seated us, then quickly took our order and promptly returned with drinks. The wine was a generous pour and the martini was made by someone who knows their way around the bar. The French onion soup was quite good, although using Gruyere cheese would have improved its taste just a bit. The Seafood Napoleon was phenomenal, however. Large chunks of crab dominated this dish, as did shrimp the size of a bratwurst. The avocado used was very fresh and the sauce was tangy without overpowering the taste of the seafood. And despite being quite busy, our waitress was incredibly personable and very patient in answering our many questions regarding the building. You can be rest assured that our days of driving past this unique eatery are over and it will hence forth be a scheduled stop in our travels to the east.

All I can say is stay away!! We ordered falfalel wraps and were sent some dodgy wraps filled with greasy chips. I will never order from this horrible restaurant again. If you want poor quality food and service then this place is for you. Buyer beware!

I've tried a few meals from here and I can honestly say I was not impressed. The seafood linguine tasted rubbery, lacked flavour and sauce. In comparison to a ready meal I purchase. The ready meal tasted that evening was far better. The one thing that annoyed me the most was the calamari. This is the reason why I am leaving this review. Bad calamari equal a grump me.

This place is lovely inside lovely place u can sit down and eat or take away makes homemade meals prices abit high for take away on pasta but nice place.

Visited here for breakfast on route to work. This is a cool bar that opens up as a small deli during the day. Looks like a nice place to have dinner, small and quaint. Furniture is more like a home kitchen.

Visited the website and tried to book a table online for four people at the weekend, as the site advises. Didn't receive a call to confirm my booking, as the site advises so decided to call the restaurant. The women I spoke to advised they only take bookings over the phone and that they don't take bookings at the weekend, as they aren't open! Very strange so double checked I called the right number, appears I did. Guess we're not going there then!

Great place and very kind people, I went everyday with kids for supper and there was yummi food. The owner was very kind . Kalimera!!!

We're adopting a cat from Battersea and popped in here while waiting for the vet. Food was good quality and great size. Had souvlaki and pizza. Nice coffee. Very smooth. Very busy on a weekday lunch!

Ordered a delivery from here today and the staff were super freindly and kind. I ordered the the vegetarian platter for two it was enormously generous and I was even given a free portion of chips which were tasty and a slice of chocolate cake which was yum. The spinach pastry halumi and tsatziki and chips were my favourite. There is lots left over.the humous beans tsatziki and lots of olives in nice little plastic boxes so easy to keep in the fridge and eat over the next few days. Will be back. Thank you:)

Staff very rude and illusive aren't helpful and go back on what they say. Superficially charming but it's an act and they are two faced

While waiting for my vehicle to be serviced in the garage round the corner, I popped into this wonderful little cafe and was extremely pleased. I bought a cheese, ham and mushroom omelette with a cheeky chocolate muffin and a vanilla late.Loved all of it. Very friendly and hospitable staff! :) And they have free wifi!!!

Conveniently located next to trained and buses. Minutes walk from battersea power station. They offer delicious greek at good prices. The staff is nice and friendly!

We needed a sandwich in a hurry, half way through moving house. They were so lovely, they explained that they cook real food from scratch but fortunately they were super speedy bring us a fabulous meal very efficiently. We had pizzas, sandwiches, a burger and a souvlaki between our group and some of the best chips I have tasted in a while, I wish this could be my neighbourhood bistro! they saved and otherwise an arduous day.

Really nice little bar/cafe type place - good prices and food great if your staying at the Chelsea Bridge Apartments you can order room service - great idea!

This is a lovely little place to pop in for brekkie or lunch (and I'm sure dinner!) - super value for money and really delicious food which is obviously freshly prepared. I loved the meatballs and the lamb skewers. Totally recommend if you happen to be in the area!

We have eaten here a couple of times as a group. It a a wonderful little place opposite Battersea power station and it isn't much to look at in fact the first time we went I wondered if we were in the right place but the food is superb. As there has always been a small group of us each time the owner has made us a special Mezze. This is not on the menu but as we requested it the chef made it for us and on each occasion it has been delicious and great value for money. Wine is great value too.

We found this place on the internet, it had great reviews, we were glad we went.The food was fantastic, the restaurant was very relaxed and the staff were super friendly.The food reminded me of trips to Greece and the Islands, The portions are very generous and the beer was cold and refreshing.I will be visiting again when I get the chance

The Powerstation has lovely food, big portions and fair prices. The service could be a little faster but overall a great place to dine.

1 star and it goes to the lovely waitress who was very friendly and apologetic for all the things wrong with this place (food, drinks, interior, etc).

We had a voucher for 2 starters and 2 mains so we chose the little meze to start humus and tzatziki, olives, then husband had Kleftico and I had Souvlaki both authentic and utterly delicious salad,nicly dressed with feta cheese in generous quantity. Ate early (7pm after sitting in the glorious spring sunshine in Battersea park)and it was quite busy with people drinking and eating snacks. They tell us that later in the week it is much busier in the Restaurant. We had arranged to meet our daughter and had a nice social family drink before our meal. The staff couldn't so enough for us and we will definitely go there again - we had to take food home as so large were the portions and tonight we are eating Greek but at home. It is right next to Battersea Park Station and we walked onto the station at 20.40 to find our local train was due in a few minutes. Perfect! I can't recommend this highly enough for friend family gatherings and twosomes.

We tried The Power Station for the first time for breakfast - would thoroughly recommend. Great value at only £4.95 with a well cooked decent sized full cooked breakfast. Nice little place inside and friendly service.
