We went here to wait for our dad to get his emergency passport from the embassy. It’s a really nice cozy place with outdoor seating. The food menu is somewhat limited but the fried chicken was yummy and helped pass the time. What also really helped cheer us up were the excellent cocktails served by our charming waitress Henna.

Lovely food but above all the friendly, welcoming & prompt service made this place stand out. Our waitress, Henna, and her colleagues were all excellent.

What can I say, amazing food and excellent service, got served by a guy called Xandra, he looked after us really well and made sure we were all okay with drinks and food, I asked him a few questions about food and its contents, although he wasn't too sure, he made every effort to find out for me, what a lovely guy and the service was on point, he is a credit The Alchemist Restaurant hence the reason why we come back over and over again. We were well looked after really well and our food was on point, amazing drinks and amazing customer service, you have to give credit where its due :)

I decide to celebrate my birthday here and I am absolutely delighted with service, atmosphere and fantastic staff, especially Anna-Maria! Will be back again!

We had a fantastic experience here last night! Had family visiting and they couldn't compliment enough! The food, drinks and service were all fantastic. They have an incredible and extensive cocktail menu, including some non-alcoholic ones - as someone who doesnt drink alcohol I was chuffed! The food was absolutely delicious too. I recommend to anyone, there's something for all.

I brought my niece today for lunch and cocktails and we were served by Jason. What an absolute credit to your businesses from the moment he greeted us, he was warm, polite, informative, welcoming, happy and an absolute pleasure! He was so clearly happy in his job that it made our experience so much better too. Food, drinks and service were second to none! Well done Jason!

This was the third year in a row that we’ve come to the alchemist to celebrate our anniversary and the second year we’ve been served by Curtis. We couldn’t have asked for a better service, we were made to feel welcomed and regularly checked on to make sure that everything was going well. Highly recommend eating here and we will be back again next year!

I must write this review as the service we have received from Stefania last night was beyond our expectations! Thank you for sorting out the issue with the gift card how Embarrassing that was but you totally saved our evening and the whole experience for me my partner And Our kids. Our server Anayah who was very welcoming made us feel at ease and relaxed. Thank you both very much for exquisite customer service and the food was equally excellent! Amazing food and excellent service. We were well looked after and our food was just what we were looking for. We had blue steak side of salt m pepper chips and colorful interactive cocktails, color change and dead red zombie.

The Alchemist is very close to work, have been here a few times. Food is pretty good, service was good, there was a party of around 25 of us. My only complaint was the food was warm and not hot, only because they waited until most of the food was ready before bringing it to the table. We could see the food was ready and waiting for at least 15 minutes prior. Apart from that, everything was lovely and s=the staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for us. We will be back.

More staff than customers, yet almost impossible to get served. We went and found someone to order from and he seemed less than thrilled. Depressing place.

Drinks a side service was really poor considering there was virtually no customers and many members of staff working. What was supposed to be a special evening was negatively impacted by poor attention to detail and attentiveness

Been a few times. You have to ask for everything, no one approaches you. Staff are overworked - I assume that's why they appear flustered every time I visit and hardly talk or ever smile. It's an amazing bar/restaurant but has no atmosphere or obvious management. Such a shame. Starters are ridiculously small too.

Came for the cocktail brunch, our booking was for 12-1:30, we all arrived by 12:10 and our first service was at 12:50 after a lot of attempting to get staff attention we had to finally go to the bar to ask for service. By the time we received all our food and 3 cocktails it was almost 3pm, 90minutes after our planned finish time. 2 staff members then argued with us for removing the service charge and as we were leaving waved and shouted at us for it. At no point were we loud, rude or disrespectful and did not deserve to be treated in such a way. I've been here over a dozen times and this is the first time we have ever removed the optional service charge.

I have to say full marks here. Brilliant, enthusiastic staff, who take their time and energy to give you a brilliant experience from start to finish. They treated our kids with so much care and fun. The food and drink is well priced and really tasty, good quality and in portion size. A rarity in restaurant experience these days, thank you!

We had a wonderful evening and really it was all down to our server, Jason. He was delightful, so friendly and helpful and he made our evening so much better. The cocktails of course are brilliant and very creative. The food was good too, we had some starters and then the flatbread and the steak sandwich. We look forward to returning.

The bartender Robbie is so amazing at his job he is so talented with cocktails! We sat at the bar, He has amazing customer service and made the whole experience 10/10. If you were going to go to alchemist go just to see Robbie make amazing cocktails.

I chose this restaurant because it is close to the American Embassy and fitted in with my daughter’s pre appointment recce. What a delightful find it is. I was impressed with the cheerful welcome we received from the manager for a start. The choice of cocktails is amazing, many of them very theatrical and the food is lovely. Our server Curtis was charming which added to a lovely evening out. I would come back, if I venture off my hill in Devon and find myself in the area again.

Walking inside wet and bedraggled from the wind and rain, from waiting in a queue for the US Embassy situated across the way with my son. I was warmly greeted and given the choice to sit at a great table looking over towards the Embassy, for when my son was finished. The waitress explained how Inas on the cusp of the breakfast finishing, and lunch time beginning so I could choose either from the menus. Jason came to collect my order. What an absolute superstar he is! So warm, genuine and welcoming. When I told him about my nut allergy, he couldn't do enough with making sure that it was all noted down. He recommended the Breakfast Burrito and explained all the components, and how good it is. Wow! He was correct. It was amazing, and huge! It took me nearly and hour to eat it. Packed full of beautiful thick bacon, scrambled eggs, tiny has browns, and just the right amount of cheese, to not over power the over all taste. The hot chocolate was out of this world, a spoon with little marshmallows, and the most delicious creamy topping, dusted with chocolate. It warmed me right through! The complimentary water, which was regularly refilled by Jason was a lovely added touch too. I wasn't rushed, or made to feel in the way waiting, as I was conscious about taking up room from other customers. I was assured that I wasn't in the way, and to stay as long as I wished. Another hot chocolate and I was so relaxed, it was a shame to have to.leave when my son appeared from the embassy. The next time I take a trip to London, I will be making a detour to visit again. Thank you for an amazing experience, from start to finish. The staff are a credit to the company.

I took my son out after work for couple of drinks and quick bite to eat . The service was excellent and super friendly. Good atmosphere for a Wednesday evening as well ! The menu is just to die for and the only annoying thing is choosing what to eat as it all looks excellent! We chose the butter fried chicken to start followed by the short-rib burger..outstanding! A family gathering for an engagement/leaving do. We had a section cordoned off for the event which was lovely. The staff provided a very good service. Buffet platters served hot and tasty with chilled Prosecco. Extensive drinks and cocktails available and other foods.
