Do not, ever, ever, order through deliveroo. Speed of delivery is literally "whenever they feel like" and the best you will get as a reason is: ask deliveroo for a refund, despite delivery being by their OWN driver. Last orders here, partner too is massively unimpressed and won't be using them again.

Ordered via Deliveroo , it arrived 45 minutes late with half the food missing. No suitable explanation or apology. Do not recommend

Ordered via Deliveroo, delivered 45 minutes after advertised time, 3 items missing, guy on the phone didn't care and told me to get a refund from Deliveroo. Food was luke warm.

Took a bit longer than we'd hoped (delivery through deliveroo) but it was really fresh and delicious. Ordered Chana jalfrezi, vegan chicken Korma and naan and it was super tasty. Would definitely order again YUM

We order take away via Deliveroo so haven’t been into the restaurant but the food is high quality and delicious. I also wanted to say how polite and efficient the delivery person was. I didn’t have cash to tip sadly but she deserved one so I’m sorry for that! Definitely this place hits the spot and their mock lamb starter is unbelievably close to the real thing - minus the cruelty so win win!

This place is great and I would highly recommend! A much more extensive and interesting vegan menu than say Thali. I'm really surprised by a few of the reviews here, I've ordered from them a few times now and it's impressively tasty food. They have so many vegan options, a lot of which I've never seen at another Indian restaurant. It's such a diverse menu that I'm sure not everything will be to everyone's liking, but I think what they're doing is really impressive and I applaud their efforts! It's really nice to have an all vegan Indian restaurant so close by.

We were a table of 5 on a Friday night in the Gloucester Road restaurant. The staff were really friendly and whilst the restaurant was almost full, service was still prompt. The food was absolutely delicious and the three non-vegans in our party enjoyed it and didn’t feel it was missing anything. The decor in the restaurant is really nice too. I think it’s really good value for money. Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re going out for a curry!

Highly enjoyable experience. Had vegan "lamb" achai, which was a very large portion and tasty. Mushroom rice was the best mushroom rice I've ever had, very fresh and tasty juicy mushroom slices. Was nice to have the poppadum tray and have vegan versions of the dip I usually have to leave.

We visited the new restaurant on Gloucester Road. We were so impressed. They have done something very special here in this part of Bristol. Not only is the food incredible, the venue is exquisite, and the staff are very friendly and lovely. We’ve always eaten their takeaways and found there is so much choice, and lots for children to enjoy off the menu. Can highly recommend this venue for their amazing plant-based food and great atmosphere!

Yup like all the other reviews, over 1hr late. The man on the phone was lieing to me about it arriving soon.

H2O!! considering the cost of living crisis, you might want to cut down on the amount of water youre using in your currys. that was THE WORST chicken tikka ive ever had, just water from the tap with a teaspoon of curry powder would've been better.

Ordered on deliveroo. As they don’t use deliveroo delivery service your order can not be tracked. Been waiting 2 hours and food still not arrived. Called restaurant and kept getting voicemail. Finally spoke to someone 30 minutes ago and apparently ‘serious’ traffic and will be with us in 10/15 minutes 😂 PS there is absolutely no traffic out tonight. Just be honest guys and admit it’s a shocking delivery service to manage customers expectation, or, don’t do delivery until your business can cater for your customers. Because regardless what the food tastes like you will continue getting 1* reviews!!!!

The employee was rude when we called (15 minutes after the latest delivery time had passed) they said "we are just sending it now", when it was supposed to have arrived already. I suspect this was untrue, given how everyone else has also stated they were lied to and their food was late. It took them ages to prepare and send a small order during off peak time. They were not polite at all. Go to Dhamaka or Ali babas 40 dishes next time. I do not recommend this place.

The people who picked up the phone were not very polite and had tremendous trouble understanding my question and giving me an answer. Our order was 1h+ late. The curry was watery but otherwise tasty. Bit of a smaller portion. Gave me some stomach trouble afterwards, and I'm not a sensitive eater. The delivery driver was polite :)

This use to be incredible I have to say that but nowadays seems like they're trying to do it as cheaply as possible the massala was tasteless also the meat replacement has changed and isn't nice at all. Such a shame as it used to be the best Indian takeaway but has slowly gone downhill. Not worth £30 and an hour wait

Delivery was very late (50 mins) but the delivery man was friendly. The vegan chicken tikka masala was brilliant although a bit expensive. Fake chicken was great. However, the dansak was literally the worst dansak we've ever had. Had some spice but literally no flavour at all - tasted of water. The dansak was so bad that I'm just hoping this was an unlucky experience (given how good the tikka masala was) as otherwise they need to take it off the menu and go back to the recipe to avoid others complaining.

We would not order from here again. As others have said, the quality has gone down significantly since 2021. Whilst I appreciate a vegan-only menu with such a wide choice of curries, two of the three curries we ordered were just gravy with shop-bought tofu / vegan meatballs thrown in at the end. No vegetables, not even onion or tomato. No discernable texture. Very little flavour or heat in the Naga! The (3) Onion Bhajis were small, greasy, reheated. The Mango Chutney literally had the consistency of water, with no bits!The 'no chicken' jalfrezi was a 7/10 but sadly not good enough to make up for how terrible everything else was. What a shame.

First time eating here. The chana korma is lovely. The nan is pretty good. The vindaloo was tasty but maybe a little bland. Will try it again. Real Indian flavours overall.

Well first they miss one meal off of the order then 40min after they said it would arrive they call again to say it's not coming because they are a driver down. Which he could have saod earlier. Obviously offered a refund for the one meal they missed ha which is kind of pointless as someone couldn't eat so we eneded up ordering food from elsewhere wasting a total of 40 pounds and 2hrs to be messed around.

If I could leave no stars I would. The rudest man on the phone who hung up on me twice as we called to complain about yet another late delivery - we have eaten from here a few times, at first the food was great but every time we ordered it was never consistent and you weren’t sure what you were getting. Often we had food missing, although they said they would give us additional or not charge the next time. We’ve either had the food turn up an hour early, or often wait over an hour (my husband once waited two hours for his food!) but used Uber eats this time and thought it would be ontime. An hour late so far, so we called to complain, when he said the food hadn’t even left yet we said we didn’t want it and wanted a refund, he was so rude, didn’t apologise and just fobbed us off with an excuse, then proceeded to tell us that he didn’t care that we were angry that they hadn’t bothered calling and that our food was late, and just said to leave a review as he didn’t care. Get some customer service mate, your food isn’t that great to make up for the fact you were a rude ****.

Possibly the worst Indian I've ever been to. Super late delivery and lied to us over the phone about the food already being on the way. Still waiting hours after ordering and nothing has arrived. I don't expect the food to be good or even remotely warm. Save yourself a bad experiences and get a takeaway from somewhere else.

Over 2 hours from ordering to delivery. Change the areas you deliver to if you can't get the food out. No updates from the kitchen. Disgraceful service.

I'll start by saying that my household have ordered from here at least 15 times so I think it's safe to say we have been regular customers and our experience is a pretty accurate representation of what you can expect! When we first started ordering from this establishment back in the middle of 2021, we were really pleased with the quality of the food as well as the choices on offer, portion sizes etc. Wait times are definitely longer than other places we order from but that has never bothered us as they have not been excessively long (for us, that is!) Unfortunately, the last few times we have ordered from here we have definitely noticed a drop in the quality of the food - we've had to pour the oil off our curries and the portion sizes of the curries have almost halved when compared to the portion sizes we were receiving when we first began ordering. I think the only thing that has remained consistent is the naan bread and rice! The last 3 times we have ordered there has been food missing (portions of rice, curries and sauces) which is especially frustrating when you have been waiting a long time. Don't get me wrong, they have always sent out the missing item when we've called but obviously we would prefer to receive the whole order in the first place! We've always given Vegan India another chance because of how impressed we were at the beginning and it's awesome that there is an Indian offering a fully vegan menu so you can order whatever you want without checking. It's such a shame that the quality and portion sizes have been inconsistent as of late and that items always seem to be missing. I've given 3 stars because if you catch them on a good day you can expect a decent meal for a fair price! We are in two minds whether we will chance ordering from here again - the quality control just isn't there unfortunately. Vegan India, please take note of what I have said above. You have the opportunity to serve the vegan community with great Indian food if a few changes are implemented! 🌱

Delivery very late , as seems to be a theme in other bad reviews! Ordered through the uber app expecting to 'follow' the order but didnt realise that restaurants that use their own delivery drivers can turn any tracking off. So an order that said it was going to be here at 7.00 just kept saying 'arriving soon' for over 2 HOURS. Kept ringing and the man was very rude and palming me off. When food finally arrived it was oily and really sugary? Very strange for curry. Wont be trying here again :(

About to try it out very excited!

Food took 1.5hrs to arrive, blamed us for not answering the phone even though we had no calls from them at all. Food was not great, one dish was so oily it was not eaten and we had 1 whole portion of Pilau rice missing from the order too. Wouldn't order again or recommend

Absolutely appalling service. Didn’t receive order - Deliveroo said it hadn’t been delivered after over an hour of waiting. Called and was told it had been delivered. The person on the phone was extremely rude, saying we were liars and had the food and were trying to get a free meal. We had been working two 15 hour days in Bristol and just needed to eat. Luckily a Deliveroo rep was listening in on the call and gave us a refund. I understand mix ups sometimes happen but the representative of this take-away on was so rude and unprofessional and hurtful, it was totally out of order and ruined the end of the working trip. Avoid. After all this no other places were open and we were exhausted so we had boiled eggs for tea as that was all that was left in the AirBnB. Great.

Ordered this from deliveroo, the presentation was atrocious. The curry was way too watery and only provided 4 vegan balls and nothing else. The paratha was burnt, tasted horrible. The onion bhaji were too oily. The 3 items cost me over £20. It left me with a really bad belly that evening as well. NEVER again 🤢

SO BLOODY GOOD. I've been vegan for five years now and haven't had naan, a tikka or a korma that tastes authentically non-vegan. this does it. delivered on time and PIPING HOT which is rare!!

We have ordered 3 time from here because other people rave about it and we wanted to give it a fair go. We've ordered different dishes every single time but we always end up with the same thing - a mild, orange colour, coconut flavour curry that is super sweet. It doesn't matter what we choose off the menu, it's always the same. The first time we ordered passanda and korma so we thought it was okay, the second time we were surprised our Butter Chicken tasted like a passanda so we complained and were told it was a mistake but no refund was offered. Last night we ordered makhani, which should be red and spicy with cream - but it was the same coconut passanda. The chana was just chickpeas in tomato sauce and the saag aloo only had four small pieces of potato in it, the rest was very sloppy spinach. It is really disappointing because I am sure they could do a good job if they tried a bit harder. This is a spin off to an already established and well reviewed omni curry restaurant so it's not like they are brand new to the trade and are still finding their feet. This is really just a message to the restaurant begging them to do better - Bristol definitely needs more good, vegan curry and you could be it, but you aren't right now. Until this place steps up its game, exercise caution. If you like mild coconut curry with no vegetables, this is the place for you. But if you want anything else then perhaps order from elsewhere. EDIT: Further to the response from the business owner, I should say that we are connoisseur's of Indian, Pakistani and Nepalese food. I have been enjoying dishes from well regarded restaurants and takeaways all over the world for 25 years. In addition, my husband worked as a sous chef and waiter at an award winning Indian restaurant for several years, and I have undertaken several Indian cookery courses with chefs from India, running successful food businesses. A butter chicken or murgh is similar to a tikka masala not korma. It should not taste of coconut and it should not be sweet. Again a makhani should be the same sauce as a butter chicken - not sweet and coconutty. The descriptions of your food do not make it clear you cook these dishes with the irregular sweet coconut sauce more akin to passanda. I had no issue with the flavour of the saag aloo, just that it only had four tiny potatoes and the rest was spinach - more balance there would be great. The only thing you need to add to the chana is flavour. I love chickpeas but I can open a can and cover them in tomato sauce at home for about 40p. You have a great opportunity here in Bristol to serve the vegan community. I don't make a habit of trashing food businesses with no reason - I run a food business myself. I understand you are upset but the feedback was designed to help you improve, and to make sure other know what they will get when they order as the menu is not clear with its descriptions. Firstly the delivery was an hour late... And then the food was burnt... Extremely unhappy... One of the worst food I had.. Never will try from here again ..

Very late delivery. Food arrived 1 hour late than their expected arrival time. We ordered naan and it’s burnt and papadums are also burnt and not good taste wouldn’t recommend and will not order again.

How nice to have something different. Five stars, they are what they say, just for me, Is love vegetarian not vegan and a slightly wider selection, eg bhindi bhaji, mixed chutney tray. Those complaining of slow delivery...we ordered at 6 on cup final day, quoted an hour, arrived in 45 min. Cheer up and maybe think whether the national crisis makes things difficult, you miserble boogers.

I orderer my food at 7pm. Order was estimated to arrived between 20.00 and 20.20. It was marked as on its way at 20.10 ish and at 20.25 marked as "arrived" despite no sign of it. I called the restaurant at half past to ask why it had been marked as delivered when it clearly had not been, and they said the driver was still on his way with one other stop before me. The food eventually arrived just after 21.00, so 40 mins after it was estimated to arrive, 35 minutes after the driver disingenuously marked it as 'delivered', and a full TWO HOURS after I placed the original order. As for the food, I thought a bhaji meant a battered and fried ball of sustenance but apparently at this restaurant a mushroom bhaji is just a tub of plain fried mushrooms.... My vegan buttered chicken was all sauce and no substance. The naan bread was tepid and soggy by the time it arrived. Not worth it.

Ordered the Butter Chicken, the Fillet Biriany and the Korma for mains and then a side of onion rice, garlic naan and chapati. All was AMAZING! Heavily recommend this restaurant. My boyfriend and I were very impressed! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Food amazing, delivery times shocking. Twice in a row now just a couple of days apart they were very late, first time half an hour late, this time, we're still waiting, trying to call and it's ringing out, they are currently 45 minutes late...

Ordered 7.20pm via Uber Eats, called them at 8.20pm and was told it will be with us in 'a few minutes'. Tried calling a number of times later on but the phone had been taken off the hook. In the end we gave up and ate leftovers. Received a call after 10pm saying it was outside, we sent it back. Needless to say a bad experience all round. Guys - if the kitchen is having a mare, just call us, apologise and let us know, don't take the phone off the hook

Just had a delivery from them this evening. Brilliant all round; delivery was on time, food was tasty and bigger portions that the usual Indian delivery! They have loads of options; two types of fake 'meat', chickpeas or veg only, so you're not forced to eat pulses or fake meat if you're not into that. Definitely ordering from them again.
