Had curry goat.....all grissle....naans were flat and crispy. Would not return sorry 😞

We came to Veerus as a family to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent, staff were very warm and friendly and nothing was too much for them. The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to diners.

Now called Hot Ice, authentic tasting food at a great price. Excellent value for money, good range of meat and veg dishes to choose from. Range of beers and lovely cocktails. Staff friendly and know the menu so can advise if you're not sure what to have! Have been a number of times and never had a negative experience.

Excellent food and brilliant service! Dropped by without a reservation today and had a fantastic meal, served with a smile and a welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Great food and great service. The sharing platters are so delicious and such good variety. Love this place.

We ordered the mixed grill meat sizzler to share, a paneer curry and butter naan. We were not impressed. I've never been anywhere where the sizzler tray has half a cm off oil in it. Equally the butter naan had so much butter that the lower naans were soggy. The paneer dish was tasty but had very little of the main ingredient. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly and attentive, which means the score has been bumped up.

Greta place for a mixed grill! Been here a few times with family and friends. We love sharing the mixed grills and seafood mixed grills. Good variety of meat choices on the grill, cooked to perfection and super tasty. Staff are very friendly and the chef is the star of the show. Often comes out to greet customers and check they are enjoying their food which is a nice touch. Can’t wait to go back!

Nothing wrong with the food. If I had realised they have televisions showing sports, I would not have gone, but that was my mistake. Food was reasonably priced.

Absolutely amazing venue, very delicious and variety of veg and non veg food, drinks and food all at very reasonable price, great management team, with very kind welcoming hospitality and appreciation of all multicultural communities. Poor customer service, i placed an online order received a confirmation email but nothing was delivered. I called numerous times and no answer and then 2 days later when they finally answered i was told they will speak to the manager and call me back. Today i call again as i have not received a response and the person on the phone has poor communication skills. Really annoyed never received such poor service before

Really lovely place for food! The vibe, the atmosphere is unreal, Me and my partner attended the UB40 live show & also had the fine dine experience, had the bestest time. Big shoutout to the owner and the staff! Will definitely be coming back😍😍! They cater for gluten free also!!!

Avoid. I booked my Christmas do here last year & it was a huge disappointment. We were made to wait 10mins for a pre-booked area, there were no Christmas crackers on the tables (which were promised), plates were dirty, orders mixed up (which were booked before arrival), most staff were really rude/unwelcoming & the starters arrived during and after the mains! A huge disappointment all round. It’s a shame really as it’s nice to have a Panjabi restaurant in Sutton Coldfield but there needs to be a complete overhaul to get this place up to scratch. If you’re looking to book a party somewhere, avoid this.

Went to try this desperate place but it's just a disaster in every dimension, please do not rip people off do a favor you better close this dirty whole asap.

What a fantastic place the ambiance the staff all very well presented the host Shevy (The owner) was particular nice and friendly nothing was too much trouble as we were ordering a lot of cocktails which he made and brought over once he found out it was my nieces wedding a month ago over came a bottle of champagne with compliments what a great gesture from a great guy we have told many friends to go and visit as place is 2nd to none you won’t be disappointed food was awesome and freshly made we all enjoyed it. No complaints from our party of five let me tell you you’ve tried the REST this place is the Best 5 stars ⭐️ for food, staff and service!! AWSOME. 👏🏾👏🏾

First time going to this place and I have to admit the food was very nice and genuinely authentic! I'm not a fan of trying new places and I've had bad experiences with the food in the past, but this place has genuinely surpassed my expectations. Staff are really lovely as well which is always a bonus!

Hidden gem Best to book as they get busy, small restaurant with warm welcoming staff parking right infront for few cars I ordered boneless platter and the seafood grill platter Both dish’s are enough for two to share my fave was the prawns cooked perfect great blend of heat and spices, the boneless grill had generous servings of chicken fish with different marinades and flavours Only disappointment was the Mogo chips at £5.95. I expected a good portion but you get very small side plate filled with more onions then mogo so best to avoid I would recommend this place great for casual dinning with family or friends

REALLY poor service. We ordered at just before 6pm on 2/6 yes it was jubilee bank holiday but the delivery was marked as 7.30pm. 90 minutes seemed a lot to prepare and deliver a small selection of food but okay fair enough. Nothing turned up at 7.30 nor 8pm. I rang. What a joke. In the end, my daughter went down to the restaurant and she was told the order was on its way to our house. We live 5 mins drive away and it took nearly another 20 mins to turn up. Really bad. When I opened the (small) delivery bag it was not great. Tiny starter (nearly £5), very dry Veg Biryani with chips mixed in! Yes really. Did they run out of better ingredients? Butter chicken I was told was great. Poppadoms were smashed and sauces were about a tablespoon each. It cost me £37 & feel cheated. The manager did apologise on the phone (we’ve been busy -yes but you had 90 mins notice!!) and he did offer to call me but but then I just couldn’t be bothered to speak to him yet again. Veeru’s if you want to offer takeaway service do it properly. Don’t cheat your customers. They’ll go elsewhere. Plenty of great choice in the area. We won’t be using you again. Awful service & so-so overpriced food. Pics show the tiny 4 samosa (they came with a small pot of chickpea sauce) and then the full order. Not worth £37 overall. Rip off prices.

The standards have dropped drastically, The quality of food is not as same as before, Lengthy waits even when its now busy around, The front desk staff doesn't care about the guests, he was busy speaking to his close friends while other guests were awaiting for the orders to arrive, we felt that purposely they were delaying , serving the orders. Hard earned money wasted and left with a big disappointment, The management have to pull up their socks before it gets late , If this continues they will loose more guests and hard earned reputation. The Owner replied to my review requesting for my number to discuss further, However I waspretty sure they wouldnt call me, and why will they ? These days its very easy to loose customers than to gain !

Came in on a sunday evening, as a family of 4. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and when we ordered. A few other diners then came in. Their food arrived alot sooner than ours. We waited over 50 minutes for our meal. Very unhappy children, upon complaining, we were told that they were under staffed. Simply unacceptable. Not a pleasant experience. 1 member of staff on the restaurant floor, 1 in the kitchen. Definately do not recommend and wont be returning.

Absolutely superb. Fantastic mixed grill with a generous selection of meat and fish - all cooked to perfection - authentic Punjabi curries packed full of flavour and a great selection for vegetarians. Add in the great ambience and friendly staff and you’ve got the best Indian restaurant for miles in Sutton Coldfield. Love this place.

Friday night and we were unpleasantly greeted by being told we had two minutes to choose our food. We were then provided poppadoms and 15 minutes later our starters with our mains arrived. The chicken saag was a just a puree with little amount of chicken and the paneer makhani tasted like it came out of a ready made bottle.

I thought try this place. Definitely things are good like cocktails and chips chicken tikka.paneer gravy wasnt that good (bit blend chef need to work bit more on flavours of authentic gravy like tomato base makhani gravy )send it back chef rectify it and give some free chips.owner is very attentive and taking feed back from customers that is good. Bit overpriced .but overall u can give it a go👍

Disappointed with the food on so many levels, we asked for spicy food and ended up with a very mild dish. Mixed grill was dry and chIcken was overdone. Butter chicken was very sugary and the saag looked like it was pureed in a blender and contained no spice but more salt than normal. I wonder if they taste the food before sending it out as this was the worst I've eaten. I've been to most places and I'm shocked if this is acceptable as a standard of dishes they want to give to valued customers. Not really impressed as no one finished their food. Menu seemed good at first glance and I hope they can take the review seriously and make a few tweaks to put this place on the map as Sutton is crying out for a good place to eat. On a positive note the owner did come over to us to take feedback and offered to change the dishes following my feedback but we all. Had enough and didn't want to eat anymore... I hope they do take it on board rather than pass mediocre food as authentic punjabi style...please i urge you do a taste test and compare it to others in the area you will see the difference. The drinks seem good as the peroni hit the spot hence the 2 star rating... Shame they only did 1 mocktail which wasn't on the menu.... Hope they turn it around as the venue looks good and this could be a great place if they get the food right first.... 🤞

Starters Mix grill chicken tikka dry and overdone. Mains Saag with chicken had no chilli in even when requested and butter chicken had sugar in it. Not catering to Punjabi customers. It also had dry chicken in the bitter chicken. On a positive fish pakora was ok. Mocktails were nice. Requires a drinks menu. Covers western palette rather than a Punjabi.

Despite having 4 members of staff to hand they took 25 mins to take my order even though I was their only customer at the time. The blonde lady was more bothered about taking bookings on the phone and the indian girl didn't have a clue. When the food finally arrived it was average. Lamb Curry was ok just. But reg mix grill was small and not that many potions. Fish pakora was laughable Very expensive for the slow service and very average food imo. Parking is another problem as i don't thing they have a car park!! If you want the best desi grill and curry go Soho Oak, Copper Fox, Red Lion. Nothing comes to those.

Great food really tasty and better than next door

I have been to Veeru’s multiple times since it opened, and it has become a form family favourite. From outstanding customer service, friendly atmosphere and THE MOST delicious food! My husband & I are vegan and thoroughly enjoy the options available. Options from the menu have been adapted or swapped for us to cater to our dietary needs and they are able to do this as they cook the food fresh! Always makes a difference! My toddler has also been catered for so well in making dishes without chilli so he can enjoy the food with us, and he loves it! We have taken all our friends there who have all loved it, and all have various dietary requirements. My brother who has multiple allergies has also been catered for here so well. Absolute 100% recommend this place to all! Love the food, the staff are so friendly, and the vibe is just amazing!

Beautiful authentic Indian food with a great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and Shevy takes time out to speak to everyone. Portions are big too, well worth the money, I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely disgraceful! Tried this place for the first time tonight for a takeaway and when booking online you said it was gonna be over to ours for a takeaway. So I decided to ring up and spoke to a guy and he said it would be 45 minutes tops so this would’ve made it at 7:10 pm, turned up at 7:15 to be greeted by nobody for five minutes and then to be told with a bit of an attitude from the same guy I spoke to on the phone it going to be 15 to 20 minutes (basically I turn up and they just start cooking the food) I thought maybe they might say or would you like a drink while you wait no will chuck you in a couple of extra poppadoms not even any of that. So I ask 10 minutes later how long is it gonna be to be told about four minutes later or they just bagging it up for you! Another 10 minutes later I’ll get my food, get back home we ordered two sets of poppadoms and only get half a tub of mint sauce and very small tubs of a condiments the poppadoms look like they’re from Asda or Tesco’s and the rest of the food was substandard! I think these guys need to either learn off viceRoy or Soho Tavern. Please don’t waste your time because you will be disappointed!

Excellent night out perfect chance to catch up with friends and enjoy excellent punjabi food. The added personal care and attention from proprietor topped the night off. Definitely looking forward to a return trip to Veeru's.

Food excellent but service terrible

This genuinely has to be the worst restaurant experience i have ever tolerated. Upon arrival we were not greeted by anyone we walked over to our table. After 10 minutes we were asked what drinks we wanted almost none of them were available. As our party consisted of two children a kids menu was requested and told they did not have any. We then asked it all dishes could be made mild which was confirmed by the chef. After 30 mins post ordering still no drinks and no food had arrived. Every server seemed genuinely unwanting to be there and be helpful as when asked questions the answer was consistantly no or i dont know. When the food arrived it was insanely spicey. When asked why it was so spicey were told there was no spice even though there were visible green chillis. The children did not eat anything. When asked what else can be provided we were given the option if POPADOMS, for a main meal is disgraceful. No member of staff was at all helpful until i complained to a senior member of staff who said he will ‘look into it’. Honestly do not waste your time. The food as subpar at best and the service horrific. Go to CHENAI instead excellent service and exceptional food.

An excellent experience! First meal out (indoors) after the lockdown and I was not disappointed, very friendly staff and quick service and the food was delicious, piping hot and plentiful. Compliments to the staff and the kitchen for a wonderful night!

We went yesterday without booking a table and the staff were so accommodating. We took our 6 month old out for the first time and couldn’t fault the service here. The food was amazing as always and we will definitely be going back. The chef even paid us a visit to say hi!

Best Indian in sutton coldfield, great food and drinks

Great range of beers, a great variety of food to suit all, which tastes fantastic. The lamb dishes are a favourite, melt in the mouth! The staff are friendly and efficient and looked after our party really well. Definitely will be a regular visitor.

Average place, large mixed grill was a bit small, it was also bland. Curry was also bland. Overall if this is the only place you can go to then definitely give it a try.

Best curry I've had in sutton coldfield and believe me I've had loads mix grill nice. Chilli chips ok had the desi lamb curry nice thick lmabs cubes in spicy sauce . Worth a try

First time at Veeru’s and we were so happy with our visit there for Sunday brunch in the sun on the front patio. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the food was absolutely delicious (turka beans a particular favourite, though everything was really tasty), and great drinks (locally brewed coffee). We will definitely be back!

First went to Veerus when Restaurants opened after 1st Lockdown - food was just fab. Order take out regularly and never failed us. Went for brunch for the first time - my oh my food was just amazing. Definitely the best Indian in Sutton Coldfield and if you have not tried it you dont know what you are missing out on .

A nice atmosphere that really gives you the friendly 'you're one of the locals' feeling. Decent portion sizes, at good prices. They are happy to take walk-ins as well as bookings.

Friendly staff, food well presented and good range of dishes on the menu. Service was a bit on the slow side during our visit and a few things were wrong with my order. Having said that though they were remedied without issue which was reassuring. Will be returning to try some of the other items on the menu and the brunch looks good too.

Last night went out on a job was supposed to have a meal as I worked over . Food was 1.5 hours late and burned. The couple I was doing the job for apologized. So went out and bought chips instead. I will never use that place again.

Ordered food including a mixed grill. The chicken in the grill was burnt and rest of it was extremely dry. When we complained the receptionist was apologetic and offered either a fresh dish or a refund. Immediately the manager came on the phone and I had to repeat myself. He expected me to take pictures of the food I had binned. My daughter took over the phone and he twisted my words to say I was sending him the pictures which I never agreed to. We were so disgusted that we just said we don’t want a refund and will never order again and will leave a feedback. Please beware of this place. Burnt food, late delivery & bad attitude.

The food from Veeru’s is unreal. Regrettably we’ve only been able to have takeaway and that is amazing so when they are allowed to have dine in guests I reckon it would take some beating. Would recommend every time.
