VeBurger in Bristol, City of

I've given this place two chances now because i really wanted to believe the reviews. First time I had the dirty fries hoping they'd be fairly cheesy, but the house sauce made it taste like sour sauce with just fries. Second time, I had a cheeseburger. Really disappointed to report it simply tasted like cheese and ketchup in a bun. I could barely taste the patty - it was too thin. I took a piece of the patty separately and it did taste good, but I couldn't taste it at all in the whole burger. Unfortunately won't be trying veburger again. P.S. I had seen this place a few times and had been meaning to try it out. I'm a meat eater but also a huge fan of vegan substitutes and will happily choose them. I have ordered twice now (both times online which I recommend) and both times I've been pretty impressed! They vegan 'beef' they use is really good and I would happily order it again - they do a few variations of burgers using this beef style patty and I really do recommend trying it. I also tried the small 'fish' burger and the small 'chicken' burger. The dupe fish was so convincing, I couldn't tell the difference at all! The chicken did have a bit of a vegan meat texture but was still equally delicious. The burgers are also pretty large & substantial too. I will say this place is slightly expensive, even with budget menu options it's around £3/4 for a burger. That bring said I think the quality does live up to the price and I can see myself returning here again for sure. Worth a try!

What has happened to the burgers? VeBurger was my go to for a simple Mcdonalds like small cheeseburger, but its completely changed. It is now huge, with a soggy bun, sloppy insides and charred fake mince. I'm so sad - I hate leaving bad reviews, but hoping the yummy burgers might make a come back at some point.

Delicious food! Very quick and affordable. My daughter has allergies to egg and dairy so we were excited to see they're 100% plant based and was lovely to see her enjoying whatever she wanted on the menu. The topped fries and brownie were so good! We parked in the wapping wharf carpark just behind the shop which was also very affordable.

The food was so good, we didn't even stop to take a photo before we munched it all! Lovely cosy place, great music, atmosphere and service :))

My god this was maybe the best burger ive had in Bristol! I got the sweet chilli one, and my partner got the cheeseburger. Im not vegan but this is 100% where I'll go next time i crave a burger!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Also the staff were super sweet and good chat! Xx

Placed a food order through Uber eats, food came totally wrong even gave me receipt with correct order on. They will not replace the food or refund the original order. Becareful if you use these

Can't go through spike island without it. I'm not even vegan, but the burgers are excellent and the service is always so friendly

I just ordered from here from ubereats and honestly I never write reviews but this blew me away and also made me so happy that me as a vegetarian finally has options for burgers, I literally cannot explain how nice it is!!!

I visited Veburger for the first time on a quiet Friday lunchtime and after figuring out the tablet-based ordering system I'd soon ordered a bumper lunch. Although there appeared to be just one person on the kitchen, they got straight on my order and soon I had a burger, tater tots and loaded fries before me. It was proper, tasty comfort food and I was well sated after finishing it all. Veburger is situated near Bristol's iconic waterfront and although the restaurant has a small amount of seating, I think it would be best enjoyed as takeout on a sunny summer day and sitting outside taking in the atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend Veburger for anyone looking for a fast food fix if they're in the area.

Decided to try as closer to myself than other vegan burger places. There’s a lot of 5* reviews because they offered a free cookie if you gave them one, so definitely not indicative of quality. Fries were basically still raw and soggy, burgers were grainy and really poor quality, worse than something cheap like McDonalds or Burger King veggie attempts. Worth paying a slight bit more for much higher quality from better places like Oowee Vegan or Honest burgers

I got an order to takeout from VeBurger while visiting Bristol, and the food was amazing, also the chocolate milkshake was the best I have had for ages! 10/10 would recommend

OMG. Cheap, quick, delicious vegan fast food. I ended up there without planning it, I was a bit skeptical at first but… for less than 4 pounds I ate a super delicious hamburger. I don’t know which brand they use for the burger patty but honestly it was bomb.

The food was absolutely delicious, had the "bacon" and "chicken" burger and the dirty fries. Followed by the chocolate brownie. Was so tasty and hot loved it all. Would definitely recommend this food, had a delivery so don't know what the place itself was like

Absolutely banging dirty vegan food! I highly recommend if you love the crispy chicken style vegan burgers! Price is average for the times (around £11 for the full meal) but the food is top quality. Staff seemed friendly, although a little overrun. I waited around 15 minutes for my food but I didn't mind! I'm glad to have discovered this hidden gem and I'll visit again whenever I'm passing through Bristol!

Does what's needed- quick and tasty

I received the wrong order from UberEats. The driver said I needed to contact support to resolve it and took the food back off me. App support refuse to help as they claim the order was delivered, yet I received a quesadilla which VeBurger definitely don't sell. This could have otherwise been easy to resolve if VeBurger had a phone number I could have called. Money taken and no food received. I've ordered a few times from here but won't bother again.

Delicious vegan junk food! Everything was super tasty and the single guy working there was great. Loved the chicken burger, the loaded fries and the bites. I’m not vegan but good food is good food, and it was a great place to go for a meal with my vegan friend. It is a bit pricey for what it is, but we decided it was worth it. I will hopefully return the next time I’m in Bristol.

I have ordered many a burger with these guys and have never once been disappointed. They satisfy that meaty craving every time. With a great deal or offer always available, you get guilt-free burgers with guilt-free prices. Viva la Ve!

We waited to try the VeBurger for some time and alas it didn’t meet our expectations. The burgers were kinda cold and unloved…fries were ok. Nice venue and location. No one likes cold unloved burgers…for such a price anyways. :-( love the concept though :-)

Called in for lunch yesterday and wasn't disappointed. Ordering the food was simple. The food was delivered very quickly, to say it was made to order by one man on his own, and the food was really tasty.

I was prepared to be let down bc of the free cookie for a 5 star review offer but I’m actually sooooo satisfied with both my burger and chocolate shake. It’s exactly what I was craving. And the guy working tonight was super friendly, too!

Good place for a quick vegan burger cheap and not so much junk food.

We shared a Rooster 2.0. It was quite good for a burger. It was a fake meat type patty to resemble processed chicken. Not a very appetising description but the flavours & textures were spot on. Only downside was the price. It felt like a good McDonalds vegan ripoff burger but priced like a gourmet burger - obviously those patties are expensive, but not sure I'd get again for the sheer cost.

Absolutely delicious food!! I had the cheesy rooster fries with southern gravy, and it was such a generous portion (It could have served two). Mum had the mini bacon rooster with fries.

Great vegan smash burgers. Really good gluten free options and tasty vegan cheese. Sides are great, especially the tater tots.

Great price for the quality of food - which really is great! They also do gluten free options which is a huge plus, not often found in other vegan / fast food places. Their sides are incredible, and their liquid vegan cheese hits the spot! 100% would recommend.

I don't want to ruin the reputation of the place, but I've seen they give you a free cookie if you leave a 5 star review, so not sure how many of the reviews are actually genuine. And I actually decided to check out the place because of the reviews. Anyway, food I had was not that tasty, prices are not high, service was really nice and friendly, I liked that you can order on the tablet. But unfortunately since I didn't like the food I won't be returning.

The staff was friendly, and I was surprised at the quality of food for the price! I got the cheeseburger lunch box deal, which was a cheeseburger, fries, a piece of vegan chicken, a dipping sauce, and a can of Coke Zero. All for £9.99! Great vegan food for a reasonable price.

The burger was very tasty and I was satisfied with the amount of fries. I think the lunchtime set is a good deal. The staff were also friendly and had nice smiles. It's nice to eat under the sun on a sunny day. I would like to come again!

Second time I've been here and have taken my partner on a casual date. Staff was really friendly, the "bacon chicken" burger was amazing, as well as the Big Ve, the loaded fries are definitely for sharing, sweet chilli bites weren't too spicy and the biscoffee milkshakes were SO refreshing. Best Vegan burger place by fair. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the second time I have came to this place with my partner. We had the Big Ve and the “bacon chicken” burger which we cut in half and had half each as we couldn’t decide on one and they were both fantastic. We shared a box of loaded fries as they are too big for one person and they were absolutely amazing. The sweet chilli bites were tasty, but the gravy was so amazing you could just drink it, and speaking of drinks the biscoffee milkshake was light, creamy and refreshing. We finished with a glazed donut and a chocolate cookie. The staff were kind, helpful, fast and efficient and the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. Would highly recommend this place to vegetarians and vegans as everything is plant based and I will be coming back with my friends and family.
