i got the pork roast which was 17.95£. there were so many elements on the plate and different textures and flavours! one disappointing thing was the pork itself was a bit tough and not too flavourful. may go for another protein next time but they do have horseradish and apple sauce to elevate the flavours. also note the food took about 30 min to serve! realised they didn’t give me my yorkshire pudding (i had thought it didn’t come with the pork but from other reviews it looks like it did) so i had to change my review to a 4⭐️

Went for Sunday Roast, beef and chicken was ordered and all were really good. Beef very tasty and tender. Whole meal was really tasty. My desert of sticky toffee pudding came with tea ice cream which was a great twist. Great service, lots of happy customers and very reasonably priced. Great place I'd visit again when in Bristol

Wow- a simple word which means 1000 fabulous things. Amazing quality ingredients, so fresh and flavourful. We both went for the roast beef and the variety of bits that came with it was great. We were absolutely stuffed afterwards- there were 4 roasties, which for Bristol roasts these days is impressive! Can’t wait to return!!

Really great meal at Chris and Jo’s kitchen! From the moment we came in we were greeted with a warm welcome and treated amazingly throughout the entire meal. I personally had the roast chicken which was delicious, very moist! For dessert I had the banana pudding with peanut butter ice cream which was a rare but very tasty treat! Staff were amazing! They made sure our visit was perfect and really made the experience top notch! Definitely will be returning and would advise everyone to come as well! 10/10

This was the best meal out I have had in a long time! The food was very reasonably priced and very generous portions. I had the roasted butternut squash with barley, dauphinoise potatoes and tender stem broccoli. It was truly phenomenal. We went there to celebrate a new job, SO glad we did. Don't be fooled by a humble exterior, this restaurant is a true dedication to excellent flavours and really expertly crafted meals that would rival any fancy restaurant. The marmite butter with the focaccia was one of the best things we'd ever eaten.

What an amazing little restaurant - almost like having dinner in their home, and such yummy food! They were really helpful with gluten free suggestions and adaptations. Coconut sauce on the trout was absolutely wonderful! Home-made treacle tart for dessert was apparently excellent (sadly not gluten-free, but the crême brulée was). Lovely atmosphere and adventurous menu - hope to go again soon.

The food here was very very good. The fresh gnocci was incredible. The service was a little strange... From the moment I called to book a table, it was almost like our booking wasn't wanted (because I was requesting a table quite close to their closing time). When we were in there another party came in after us. Looking at the owners face, they were clearly not welcome 😂 I understand when it's nearing closing time, you just want to finish your working day and be done. But this can be tricky when your work is in hospitality!

Ever since we discovered Chris and Jo’s Kitchen in the early days of opening we always make a point to eat there when we go to Bristol. The food is sensational ! We have never had anything that didn’t taste, fantastic. It’s flavoursome and fresh I’ve never needed to add any seasoning. The service is very good & efficient, and as we’ve got to know Jo more, we find it really enjoyable, getting to speak with her if she has the time . This is upmarket tasting & looking food in an unfussy fancy restaurant. It’s fairly basic inside but not uncomfortable. But from the outside you would not believe the quality of the food, you will be getting. I really am amazed at the amount of people from Bristol that have never heard of it, and I always try to encourage them to give it a try One of the nice things about that is not one person comes back and complains to me, because Chris and Jo’s Kitchen has is consistently excellent. When you are recommending a restaurant, this is what you want and when you go back yourself this is what you want. If we lived in Bristol we would be eating here Farm more regularly. It’s a fantastic place go and try it for yourself!

Overall the food is good. But as the same as the comments I saw on the internet, the chief’s level is not stable, sometimes the main dish is too salty. Oh well this happened to me. The pork belly is really really salty and the potatoes at the side are extremely salty. Ye I need to use the word extremely. I’m that person who can bear strong flavour but this is still too much. And also, I think it’s a bit overpriced, but not thattt bad.

Nice reward for walking up St Michael's Hill 😁! Have been looking forward to this roast for ages and it did not disappoint. Everything was so flavoursome. I went for the silverside roast beef, it came pink and tender as advertised and there a decent portion. Roast potatoes were crispy and seasoned 👌. Yorky was nice and crispy. The veg was red cabbage, carrots, green beans, broccoli and green beans. All were incredibly flavoursome and cooked perfectly. Special mention goea to the gravy which was and thick and cauliflower cheese, which was creamy and soft.

The best Sunday Roast in Bristol!!! You get two massively thick slices of the most succulent, juicy, perfectly pink, roast beef. The gravy, greens, croquette, yorkshires, cauliflower cheese were also delicious. Went here for a roast two years ago and came back today and it never fails to amaze me. There is always a slight waiting time for the food here but it’s completely justifiable. We left stuffed and remained full for the next 8 hours!!! (Their lunch time chicken sandwiches are amazing too!) I will definitely be back and would highly recommend everyone go!

It's hard not to love this place. It's very charming, the menu changes on a daily basis, the quality of the cooking is good, it has interesting dishes on the menu including lots of options for those who are vegetarians and the prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed our lunch although not everything was absolutely perfect. The star dish was the chicken thighs with gnocchi, it was tasty and well balanced. The mussels were excellent, high quality ingredient which was perfectly cooked and well seasoned but needed something else to go with it, like chips or a good sourdough that can soak up the lovely sauce. The trout was lovely but came on a bed of salad that wasn't as good as the fish. There were no side dishes on the menu which was a shame. We will definitely return to try again on another day and a different menu. The locals love this place and I can understand why.

Hidden at simple sight, with little or nothing to give off what a gem it is; you could walk past it withoutknowingit was there. This restaurant is probably the best value food around here. Top quality food (taste and plating), freshly prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients at a reasonable cost. Service can feel slow at times, but it's understandable. From simple sight, it might be managed by its owners, one doing the cooking and one doing table services. Minimal staff might be one of the reasons quality-to-cost is so good.

After seeing many positive reviews of the restaurant, I was excited to pop in since I was in the area. Immediately the atmosphere was lovely and I was excited to order and have a great meal. Seems I made the mistake of asking if there was anything the waitress recommended that was a “quick meal”. She immediately became agitated with me, throwing her hands around and glaring as if I had said something absolutely awful. I quickly apologised and let her know I had a meeting in an hour and hoped there was something I could eat in that time. I wish I hadn’t had asked. I also wish I hadn’t eaten there. I’m assuming I caught her on a bad day? The food was nice but there are a lot of nice food places in Bristol who don’t make you feel as terrible as the waitress did. I certainly won’t be returning but I’m sure others could have a nice experience there.

Sticky toffee pudding was very tasty even for someone like me who doesn’t have a sweet tooth. The odd thing was that they refused to charge my phone a bit - was running out of juices but thankfully I had a physical bank card with me to pay for the meal. Spectacular burgers, the only reason I don't give it a five is because there isn't much variety. The double hamburger options will not disappoint you if you like hamburgers, without getting too complicated it achieves a perfect flavor between the meat and other ingredients. Totally recommended
