A very busy restaurant but ideally placed near the theatres. Main meal was quickly served but the drinks were slow (had to get them ourselves off the bar!) and we had to wait 40 minutes for the desserts and we'd told the waiter too. Good food though.

Very funky spot and building, arrived to a lady downstairs explaining that you had to order food yourself and that the wi fi wasnt brilliant. Went upstairs, tried to order our food 4 times as wi fi terrible, hardly any staff to ask for help, when we managed to order our food and drinks after 30mins, nothing arrived, I had to go to the bar myself and get my own drinks, we were on a time schedule as going to the theatre. The garlic bread was like eating carpet and the pasta was like eating glue, it was revolting, only good thing was the wine but sadly we didnt have enough time to drink it as the orders took so long. The staff that were there was lovely but it just doesnt work ordering yourself from the barcode at the table, its like Covid times! Esp as the wifi is so bad and the staff no that. I will never go there again and its a shame as such a great location.

My gnocchi arrived barely lukewarm and tasted really bad. Definitely not fresh. I would have sent it back but I was in a hurry. My friend's food arrived about 6/7 minutes after. I felt pretty ill later that night. Massively disappointing as the venue is a great place to hang out.

Dreadful experience. The guy on the front desk looked positively terrified when I spoke to him. I could hardly understand what he was saying but he seemed to invite us to sit upstairs to enjoy the air conditioning (it was very hot that day). We went upstairs to find there was in fact no air conditioning, so went back outside on the terrace. We had to move the tables and sunshades ourselves for our party of 6. Then we discovered that to order, we had to scan a QR code and use their wifi and app to order. I really wonder how this system goes down in the States, a country where they expect real service. Here there was none. You have to do it all yourself, and when I pointed out that their wifi wasn't working I was again greeted with that "rabbit caught in headlights" look. Perhaps it was the guy's first day, and I sympathize, having worked as a waitress myself, but in that case he should never have been put on the front desk as the customer's first contact with the restaurant. We spent at least 15 minutes trying to log on to their site with our three different phones before their wifi at last kicked in and we could start ordering. The system is definitely not user friendly. When the waiter brought out food, he seemed to have no idea which table it was for, as he initially tried to serve us someone else's order. When our meal at last arrived, and the wait was endless, it was OK, but we were all so fed up with the whole experience by then that we had only one desire, to get out of there. We only stayed because we had 3 hungry children with us. So what we hoped would be a quick lunch before sightseeing in London turned out to be a two-hour ordeal for some very ordinary Italian food.

Was there with a colleague who wanted to go there. We just had 30 minutes to a meeting and he thought that Vapiano can handle that. After getting forced to order via app without the possibility of paying by PayPal and having to put in manually the credit card data - 25 minutes later we had just a beverage and still waiting for noodles with tomato sauce - the restaurant was occupied by maybe 10 % Completely unacceptable. Paid for food I never got - but it’s not about the money but the service and the client experience as a whole is just terrible. Sorry but from now on really never again. About the quality of the food I can certainly not say anything as I did not get the „fast“ food in time. Sorry

Been here before but was so disappointed this time. Service was appalling. We knew before hand we had to order on the app and we were there at a quiet time pre show but the waiters were poor, they did not bring napkins even when asked. They had no chilled water and served us bottles that were warm. One child's food came after everyone had finished. Food itself was just OK, a bruschetta starter and skewers plus a risotto, a pasta and a pizza. Won't be going again.

Went with some friends across February, usually for dinner after work. On all occasions the food was excellent. Starters, pasta, pizza. Good selection of drinks too. Or thing to point out is that Vapiano is now automated in terms of the service. You need to order though the app and your food gets brought to the table. The service got impersonal. That's why it's worth to go for food, not service

1. To order, you MUST first join their WiFi, submitting email and phone number 2. To order, you must join their loyalty club At the bar, asked for a glass of water. He filled and put a jug at the opposite end of the bar to where I and glasses were. Staff are not interested in offering service. I’m sure they could take an order but they’re not interested or willing. Not busy at all. 12pm on a Friday. Really REALLY poor. And it’s service like this which will lead to their failure and ultimate closure. Then the team might wonder why. Get a grip team. You’re here for your customers.

Been here about 5 times as work nearby, can't believe what every one writes on here its great to have a reliable, affordable meal in covent Garden where you know you'll get some decent food and hassle free service. Really great, ignore the bad comments these people have forgotten that your paying 40% less than most restaurants and still getting decent meal.

This is one of my favourite places for a glass of wine and bar snacks with friends, however it has now sadly shut down. No doubt due to high rents etc.

Ate here last week and food was excellent. Consistency in the quality of the food and cooking across all of the restaurants is always there. Caleb was our waiter and was fantastic - super attentive, friendly and engaging which made our visit fun! Thanks Caleb!

Great idea with Great Beer made into extravagant cocktails. Lovely Italian food is on the menu` too. Great and innovative experience.
