We had takeaway ice cream from here and it was really good, particularly after a steep walk. The cherry bakewell ice cream is AMAZING. Definitely worth trying if you're in Ironbridge. It's just near the bridge so perfectly situated.

After spending a lovely day smooching round the Ironbridge area in glorious sunshine we decided an ice cream would be nice. We spotted what looked like a lovely ice cream shop....but how we were mistaken. As it was Sunday and past 5 o'clock I popped my head in the door and asked if the shop was still open.. the man serving grunted 'does it look like I am? ' we should have walked out then . we ordered 2 ice creams that came to a total of £8. They tasted awful.. a horrid chemical taste and very cheap cones. Both were thrown away before half way though. To sum up... the service was by an arrogant and extremely unfriendly man who clearly shouldn't be working with in a shop... and the ice cream was horrendously overpriced, disgusting and a waste of money. KEEP ON WALKING PAST VANILLA ICE.

Horrible ice cream & unpleasant, surly man. Cheap papery wafers & chemically tasting ice cream full of crystals. Worth avoiding!

The reviews on this place are spot on. The price is ridiculous and the Ice Cream is tasteless. I've had amazing ice cream in Devon for less cost. I could forgive the cost but the customer service is well below standard. The server was miserable he didnt even acknowledge us and our daughter. The only words he uttered was the price. I like ironbridge but I will have my ice cream elsewhere next time.

Entered the shop thinking it would be a nice place to get an ice cream from, however the man serving was so rude and couldn’t even look up or say hello. Ice creams were £2.50 and the size of the ice cream was pathetic and in the cheapest cones possible! Next time I’ll be getting my ice cream from a different shop.

Beautiful day in Ironbridge, lovely and sunny so decided on an ice cream from Vanilla Ice. 1 scoop of the cheapest, flavourless ice cream in the cheapest cones available was £2.50. He should be ashamed of himself for ripping people off!

It was a lovely sunny day being enjoyed by families and couples alike in Ironbridge . We decided to have an ice cream which the board outside referred to as farm made. The bored ,offhand man who served us only just about managed to answer my question as to whether the ice cream is local- it is not. How difficult is it to be polite and cheerful on a lovely day when you are doing good business? This business has a potentially serious problem if this attitude to customers is not addressed.

We called in yesterday for what we believed was locally made ice cream. What a negative experience expertly delivered by a miserable man. Who's customer skills resemble those of an aardvark, in capable of speaking, or smiling. £2.50 for a portion not much bigger than a ping pong ball! Sir you do not deserve my patronage, nor will you get it ever again.

called in to this place while out with mom for a coffee, unlike others reviews i cant say he was aggressive but he didn't seem like he wanted to be there, not cheap for an ice cream and i have tasted a lot better.

Wow what an experience. I walked in to buy an ice cream and was met by the most agressive and miserable man. I felt like I was an inconvenience to his day. I asked for my partners ice cream (then saw the price 😳) and he put the smallest of scoops possible and aggressively said £4.50, I was thinking of ordering for me but thought forget it, you don't deserve anymore of my hard earned cash. I am local and will never set foor in this shop again. A bloody embarrassment to Ironbridge, you should be ashamed.

Totally agree with the last review. The prices were not displayed so you are committed before you realise. Really expensive £2.50 for a single wafer cone. We would have forgotten that on such a beautiful sunny day had the staff actually even spoken to us. What poor customer service. A smile costs nothing!

A beautiful day and of course you look for an ice cream shop. Just opposite the bridge we saw Vanilla Ice so went in. We would usually buy a large cone from our local home made ice cream parlour for £2.20 just as well I noticed the prices. I couldn’t believe it £2.50 for a small cone! ... and it was small. The man serving was not particularly friendly either. Don’t think we’ll be in the area again but certainly would not be buying ice cream!

One of the few places where you can experience the true flavour of the banana ice cream you remembered from your childhood. An essential part of a hot Easter Sunday out.

My niece who’s 8 who has had 3 different lots of heart surgery innocently rested on the benches outside of this shop when the horrible nasty man who owns the shop came out and screamed at her! Yes screamed at an 8 year old child for sitting on his bench! Please don’t buy from this man he doesn’t deserve your money. There’s a lovely ice cream window a few doors down with a very pleasant man serving there.

My husband and myself popped in for an ice cream on a very hot Saturday afternoon. There wasn’t a huge selection, l chose a cone my husband wanted a tub which they don’t sell we know now. We settled for 2 small cones £2.50 each for flavourless ‘ice cream’ the gentleman did not utter a word no thank you, no hello nothing and no eye contact just a grumpy look.

Vanilla Ice is a small Ice cream shop opposite the bridge on the high street. They only serve traditional Ice cream in a standard cone or tub. There are quiet a few varieties of flavours. It is very expensive for what you get. I was also quite surprised they didn't offer alternative ice cream and lollies.

How can £4.50 be justified for two scoops?! The ice cream didn't even look any special. And it was put in a standard waffer that tastes like paper. We definitely gave this one a miss despite the summer weather of 30 degrees.

Ice cream was nice but limited amount of flavours, £2.50 normally gets you two scoops not here just the one, the cones are nothing special. But the guy could do with smiling once in a while.

Visiting Ironbridge on a sunny day what could be better a nice local ice cream - not from here. Walked in no queue of people waiting to be served & the man sitting behind the counter huffily folded his newspaper. I looked at the flavours which were very limited considering this is a speciality Ice Cream shop & pricy. I asked if the did tubs (not everyone likes a cone) - short curt reply NO. My short curt response I walked out went a few yards down the road to the shop with an ice Cream window & lots of flavour choices got served by a friendly man.

If you're reading this hopefully it's not too late and you haven't wasted your money buying an ice cream here. It's a prime location opposite the Ironbridge so you pop in. Don't expect any kind of welcome here, the guy seems annoyed to have customers, then the guy working there grunts the price at you (£2.50 for a single cone extra 50p for a flake) the ice cream isn't any better than a cheap supermarket brand. If you want an ice cream, please save your money and walk down to the Co-op and buy 4 for the same price!

Very plain looking shop and on entering you only had two choices, a cone with one scoop or a cone with two scoops at £2.50 or £4.50 respectively. Oh, you could have a flake at an extra charge! The range of ice creams was good but only being able to have a cone wasn't a good enough choice. The man serving never uttered a word to us during our service which wasn't pleasant. Overpriced and bad service, would not return.

Wish id read this before I visited! Rude man is right, how this shop is in business beats me? London ice cream prices but certainly not London size, miserable one scoop cost £2.50. If I didn't have kids waiting, I'd have gone elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money going here, a magnum in the local shop is cheaper and served but much nicer friendlier people!

The overwhelming joy of a child getting a delicious proper ice cream on a warm day is something you'd think the staff in an ice cream shop would welcome - but our party (a big one, made up of multiple families ordering as smaller groups) were created with no smile, not a kind word and a request that eager children did not touch the ice creams before payment had been made.

Absolutely disgraceful service from EMILY who told me and my baby to go elsewhere when I asked how long my order would take after sitting at the Drivethrough for over 20 minutes with no explanation. When I suggested I would make a complaint she happily told me it would only go through to her anyway. I am customer facing in my job and if I spoke to my clients like that I would no longer be employed. Maybe this restaurant should be more selective when hiring a representative of the business. Instead of rude, childish, bad mannered children with no social skills whatsoever. I won’t be leaving it there. Where has the customer service gone in this country??? A simple apology and explanation was literally all I needed and I would have been happy to wait a little longer.
