Not the best atmosphere, not the best food but very good value for the price. We were a fairly large group, but all meals arrived at the same time, and what we ordered. No complaints there. Fairly standard Italian food, nothing flashm

This is without doubt the most amazing lunchtime experience you will have. You are served by an incredible husband an wife team and the pizzas are superb, I have read the previous critiques, and I am embarrassed by the recent review from the (Strongbow drinking party)..... Called in by chance and it was amazing! The food was delicious and the staff and atmosphere were perfect.

Absolutely fabulous food. Starters and mains all delicious 😋 staff were really great too. Would definitely recommend a visit here and if we came back this way we would Absolutely come here for dinner again, couldn't fault anything.

First time visiting on Saturday night 12/8 23 ordered mussels, pizza and pasta everything hot and full of flavour thanks service very efficient , reasonable price considering location will be back with more family and will recommend to others thanks again money well spent.

I never review, but this place 😳 Cold unsealed steak, chewy chicken with a cold arribiata sauce. No atmosphere. Nothing friendly about the place. When complained the girl said it was fine, she ate food from the plate?! That I had spat out! Kids pizza was ok 👍 The owner said I'm glad your disappointed! And when paid the girl said your not welcome any more! 😳😂 Great way to handle complaints 👍👍👍

We came to this restaurant as second choice as the pizza place next door was full. There were only about 5 people in Valentines. The food was fine, but there was absolutely no atmosphere or friendly greeting. The waitress was quiet and never smiled at all, even when we gave her a tip! Shame its the second time I've been, and it was the same last time, just all very boring!

I have never ever in my life left a bad review on a place because I generally think it’s pointless. But this was literally abhorrent. I used to come here all the time when it was on park view and it was amazing, it was my families stop for every meal. I don’t know whether it’s changed hands or something but the food was awful. Cheese tasted like plastic and it was all luke warm. It was a Thursday so I get it’s not exactly going to be the busiest night to have everything super fresh and hot but I’ve had a burned frozen pizza taste better. I was there with 3 of my friends and we all had the same comments. We ate about 1 or 2 slices each and one of my friends had fish on his pizza and was actually afraid to keep eating in case it wasn’t cooked properly. And even with all of this I could have forgiven it. If I wasn’t spoken to like something in the bottom of someone’s shoe. This was about 2 months ago I just forgot to leave a review. There was a girl maybe in her 20s on front of house on her own. I told her about the food and she told me i should have told her earlier on and that she just wasn’t going to do anything about it now. NOW?!?! After we’ve eaten a slice and a half each. Think that is the bare minimum to know what it tastes like. She then just basically stared me down till I went away. This one experience has made this place go from one of my top picks to one of my most hated places. If food is bad I’m always willing to give the place another go in case they just had an off night. But the customer service was beyond a joke.

Called in on the offer chance, while visiting Whitley bay today. The queues were crazy for fish & chips with it been bank holiday Monday The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere, we were seated quickly. They offered a £12.95 set menu as well as the main menu & a specials board. My daughter ate for the £5.95 kids menu, she went for the pasta carbonara, it came in a small bowl, so she ended up having some of my potato skins. The kids menu also offers a kids ice cream as well. I had potato skins, then penne alferno. It was very nice, all cooked fresh, no complaints, My partner ordered a starter from the specials board, stuffed mushrooms with pate In Napoli sauce, he said they were very nice, good quality pâté & he opted for the pizza with the blue cheese, he said it was very nice. Including the drinks, 2 pints, 1 glass of wine, 1 coffee & a j20, came to £60.70 No complaints, very nice, staff were friendly. I noticed they did do fish & chips. Would definitely return

We come yesterday for my uncle’s birthday there was 14 of us the food was over cooked and burnt we told the staff who completely ignored us no apologies nothing the kids got a imperial mint from the bar and the staff come and removed the jar we won’t be back again put it that way

Had a beautiful 3 course meal of mussels in white wine and garlic butter. Caprese salad.sirloin steak grill for Mr Diane for me. With lovely mix of vegetables and a side of chips. Tiramisu to round it off.absolutely gorgeous. Quit Sunday evening so only ourselves at that time but still great music and just the right amount of staff attention 👌 A few people came in to collect take away meals .all Happy regulars.

Big improvement from last year. We ate here a year ago and the food was shocking to be honest but we just tried it again and it was leaps and bounds better. I would go again now and you can get a decent meal for a good price, 4 stars feels harsh but it was nice it just wasn't fantastic

I had my 60 th this yr ,being an avid Marti pellow fan my twin girls got us all tickets as a gift,it was there 33 rd birthday 13 th Oct. Going to Valentino's for a meal and drinks completed our nite. The place is emaculate,food amazing service GRT. I'd fully recommend it as a special place to celebrate in 👏👏👏

We visited this afternoon and had a really delightful experience. Lovely food and drinks and the servers were so friendly and accommodating especially to our little boy. A little hidden gem and definitely worth a visit if in the area.

The waitress who looked after us was amazing, went above and beyond! She was so lovely, see that the children were cold and so shut the side doors so they could warm up. The food was amazing too. We recommend this restaurant for families and hope to return if we visit the area again.

We visited as a family for dinner one evening. It was busy, however we got a seat. Friendly staff, but only 2 serving so it was very slow service. My husband said his garlic bread stater, and main pizza were some of the nicest he'd had. Very good value for money the 2 course special. Huge portions for the children's meals. Would certainly return if in the area again.

Order calzone and was tasteless, tomato sauce like water. Not even salt and pepper. Base was just cooked, had no colour whatsoever. Please do not insult the Italian by calling this a calzone!!!Really disgusting. I would not return! Had tummy ache after meal. Really not even worth considering.

We had dinner at Valentinos. The service was friendly and there were some good deals (of which we did not partake). The portion sizes were good, but the taste was disappointing. The sauces were "gloopy" and appeared to be thickened with corn flour and the taste was not brilliant. The pizza and pasta looked OK (but we didn't have). If you don't know authentic Italian, this is an OK place

Visited here on a Saturday afternoon. Place was quite guiet. They has a special menu on,but we weren't that hungry. I had garlic bread and it was a whole garlic pizza that came out. Service was good. Would go back if in the area

We visited Valentinos for Sunday lunch, taking advantage of their fixed price Sunday special, 2 courses for £9.95. We were impressed with the clean, fresh and airy dining room and received a warm, friendly welcome, choosing where we would like to sit. We both selected the soup of the day followed by a roast meal, one of us opting for chicken and the other choosing lamb. The carrot and courgette soup was delicious and seasoned perfectly and was eaten eagerly. The roasts which followed were equally well received with the very generous portion of meat accompanied by mashed potatoes, mashed swede, roast potatoes, large Yorkshire puddings and plenty of gravy. A separate bowl each of a further four vegetables .....carrots, peas, cabbage and broccoli.....were served which we struggled to finish. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portions so generous that we felt the cost was excellent value for money. The service was attentive and the atmosphere relaxed. For a further pound it was possible to finish the meal with an ice cream or hot drink. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return this coming Sunday before our holiday ends. For anyone wanting quality food at a very fair price I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Fish batter was barely cooked and soggy, chips were also pale and bland, lasagna tasted like it was heated up from frozen due to the amount of water in it and how bland and squishy it was, pizza was also bland and undercooked, owner was deeply offended by the complaint about the lasagna and responded ‘no one else has ever complained, everything is cooked from fresh and everyone says it’s amazing’ and also talked over us as we complained, the waitress was lovely but also seemed shocked the food was bad.

We booked this restaurant from Google reviews. This is one of the worst meals we have experienced and overpriced for what we had. My steak Rossini was so bad we sent it back and did not want anything else. Steak pizzola was like a tin of anchovies and a can of tomatoe puree. On the upside the canelloni was very good. The waitress tried her best and it seemed the manager owner was not interested. Would not ever recommend.

We had a wonderful meal here on Saturday night...restaurant was very busy but even managed to squeeze pram in with no fuss. Excellent service and food.

Back in the day we used to be quite regular customers. Covid happened and the restaurant had relocated. Jimmy's restaurant, in its new location, is a lot brighter. It adheres to covid rules, placing visible plastic barriers between tables, and so you feel safer dining. The food as always is excellent, Jimmy takes care of all of his customers, and remains very affordable for the quality of food on offer. If you've never been to Valentinos, I urge you too, his Sunday dinners are excellent too. One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. So friendly and so, so good.

I love ice-creams here. Especially vanilla topping for all icecreams are very nice.

Just like Italian home cooking. Light and crispy garlic bread and a very tasty pasta dish full of chicken, leeks, peppers and pesto. Front of house just right, very attentive without being too conspicuous. Very enjoyable evening at a very acceptable price. Will be back to sample more of the menu.

The place was lovely and clean inside and the owner dim the lights too, it was cosy. The meals was lovely and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone. I was in tonight at 6pm with my hubby.
