Had a lovely meal at your restaurant on Thursday evening. Took advantage of the steak deal. Wow! amazing Bruchetta, Fillet steak in a stroganoff sauce. Staff and owner are very friendly and helpful went above and beyond. Best meal I've had in a long time. Thank you for making the evening special

First time in coming to The Glass House and certainly wasn't disappointed staff all very friendly and the owner made us feel so welcome, food was delicious I had the yum yum risotto and it lived up to its name for sure, had a fruity cider for a drink and fresh fruit was added as a extra special touch, will certainly be paying this place a visit again and highly recommend it to anyone

Truly incredible food and amazing value for money. We had the 3 course lunch with started with beautiful potato skins (loads!) A sea food pizza and coffee or ice cream. Just beautiful food and super attentive and friendly service.

Went here for a meal on a Saturday. Had a really nice time. The food was lovely, really fast as well but staff checked that we were ready for our next courses. Really hospitable and nice lively environment! Very much enjoyed by all 3 of us!

Came here for lunch, people had been recommending it. Atmosphere good, menu fine. We were first in but it didn't remain empty for long. They have an exceedingly reasonably priced menu (at the moment £5.95). My husband had choices from that, I had a risotto and son had a burger. Plenty to eat. We were even given a free dessert between the 3 of us. Great place and will be going again.

Got there in time for the lunchtime special, before going for drinks on Saturday. I wasn't expecting anything special for £5.95 but it was really tasty, excellent pizzas. Absolutely fantastic value and service. The usual prices are really good too. Highly recommend!!

Came here on a whim and me and my partner were very surprised. The food was genuinely lovely and would go again. Although, a few mentions. The cocktails we had were superb. The garlic bread was more garlic on pizza dough, you can imagine me and my partner's face when a whole pizza of garlic came to us when we asked for it on the side of our main meals. The staff were lovely and friendly although not very well organised, a bit fast for us personally we didn't even get a chance to choose our drinks before being asked twice if we needed more time and then again for the food. Was great overall and we even got some shots on the house which were canny. I overheard some of the staff and I hope the girls get treated better. Heard the chef didn't tell one of the waitresses which steak was medium and the other rare, so, she got yelled out for his mistake. Wicked.. sorry that happened. Regardless thanks for a lush evening.

Nicecresturant staff couldn't be more friendly the food was good quality and very well presented. The fixed price deals are amazing o ly thing I misses was lamb or pork on the menue. But in all I would give this place a 9/10 and would use again.

£5.95 for 3 courses!! Brilliant value. One of the best pizzas we've eaten. Service was prompt. Servers were efficient and friendly. Decor is lovely, clean, spacious. Give it a try, can't imagine you'll be disappointed!!

A group of eight went for an evening meal, we were sat at our table next to a lone female singer Service was slow, very slow, both drinks and food The singer was good but loud, we couldn’t hear each other’s conversations, an hour into our visit, the karaoke started, two people from a nearby table got up and started to sing and dance with her This prompted the kitchen staff to come out and watch which meant no food was forthcoming We called the manager, who just brushed it off saying it was on its way, food came eventually, over an hour after arrival The food was ok, nothing special, seafood tagliatelle had two mussel, nothing else, we had two dishes of this, both the same content The gents toilet has two urinals, one out of order as was the only toilet, it smelt terrible Not on our return list

The mussels were amazing, the steaks are rather small but if you catch Steak Friday you can get a 3 course meal for 20 pounds.

The food was amazing tasty and well cooked all plates clean even the kids and reasonable price too. Xx

Had the carvery and OMG, absolutely fantastic and so tasty.

Had a meal out tonight. Saw the good reviews and booked in advance, disappointed that we did. The service we received from waitresses was not great, we asked about dairy free options and there was no real definite answers, didn't offer allergy advice nor check with the chef. Food order came wrong it was sorted but the replacement pizza was rushed and not good. Food was OK but nothing amazing, steaks all came cooked the same way despite differing requests. We had to ask for extra cutlery between starters and main and that seemed to be a chore. Our bill came wrong and included the previous tables bill - we noticed and it was corrected but the mistake shouldn't have been made. I think this could be better, the service could be greatly improved easily with basic customer service and knowledgeable staff, we were made to feel our questions were an annoyance. If I'm honest, I would not recommend the restaurant nor come again.

Cannot possibly be an establishment that can provide a lunch time special with both quality and price along with great service. Excellent

Friendly welcome, friendly staff. Great steak offer for a Friday night. Steak cooked raw to perfection. Kitchen happy to accommodate my request to make the Diavolo pizza vegetarian by substituting the meat for goats cheese. Given a second dessert on the house and a limoncello shot on the house too. Really cool to be able to see the chefs cook and talk to them. Considering this was our first visit to Whitley Bay, it felt like they'd known us for ever. Very clear that the team get along and treat their customers as guests. I'd definitely recommend and go back when next in the area.

I would honestly say this is the best service I have had in my life. Hussain the owner is a genuine guy that honestly cares so much about his customers being satisfied. He goes above and beyond to make sure you leave wanting to come back. We are in Whitley Bay for a 3 day trip and will probably be coming to eat here every day now! Food is excellent and very well priced. You simply will not find anywhere better to eat, drink and have service like this. Come and experience true service!

Honestly one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. Hussain (the owner) was so attentive and made sure our first experience there was 10 out of 10. The food was unbelievable (we had steak) and the kids food was amazing. The staff were all so friendly and the cocktails were to die for. We are in Whitley Bay for a long weekend and already planning on going back tomorrow and Sunday. Hussain also drove us back to our caravan park, the guy goes above and beyond, such an amazing guy. Can’t wait for tomorrow

First time at the glass house food was tasteful and plentiful staff very pleasant all round good atmosphere 3 course for £4.95 exceptional value for money would highly recommend.

The Sunday carvery here is amazing! I couldn't fault it, a generous helping of carved meats with your choice of trimmings. Absolutely delicious, and for only £11! Definitely worth the price. There was a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. If you're a dessert person, there's no dessert menu but there is a dessert bar which has a small selection.

You SERIOUSLY NEEEEED to find this little OASIS in a stunning side street up from the main Promenade in Whitley Bay. But it's ALL about the GENUINELY GOOD HEARTED souls they've managed to find to work here that's going to make it a DEFINITE #1 priority when you think of Whitley Bay though. I'm humbled 🙏 and blessed to have discovered this STUNNING place. And the passion of the chefs is visible on speaking with them!(Cause they actually do care ❤!!!) Visited on steak night with team from work so great process. Staff were very friendly and service very good. Food was tasty and steak was done to request spot on. Will come again! Little girl's birthday was there and restaurant has to sign happy bday while she stood on a chair, loved it, great atmosphere.

A tale of two halves. I've rated this a 3 as myself and my husband visited yesterday for lunch. He had the prawn starter that looked and said tasted, delicious, I had the potato skins that were soggy and oily. He had a pasta dish for main that once again looked, and he said tasted, delicious. I ordered a chicken pizza no garlic that came with garlic. I told the waitress I'd asked for it without garlic and she picked it up and walked away. No apology, or any words. They made me another, unfortunately because they seemed to be in a hurry so I had my meal with my husbands when it was served the base wasn't cooked. It was like eating dough. I called the waitress over and told her it wasn't cooked, she took it away and said she would ask the manager if she could do anything, I replied with I'm not paying for it. The manageress came over and was very nice, apologised and asked if I wanted anything else. I said no as my husband had ate his meal. She apologised again and we paid for everything apart from the pizza and left. The final nail in the coffin for me was the chef outside the main front doors smoking, as a non smoker, it's not what I want to see the person making my food with his hands doing. If you must smoke do it at the back doors not where your clients are walking into eat. Huge shame as I'd heard great things about this place but I won't go back when there are better consistent quality places around

We had a lovely pizza and pasta, they were both exceptional. Price was good and service excellent.

The food was excellent, real Italian dishes. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dog was accepted without any reservations. Highly recommended if you appreciate good Italian food.

Dropped in on Thursday while our daughter was at club. Service was great, wine and the steak was excellent. Rest of the menu looked really good too and they also offered t-bone as a special - would have had one but decided on a fillet and chips which were perfect.

Me and my friend come with my two boys the staff where lovely friendly and made us all feel welcome the food was lovely lots of flavour and the soup was the best we all cleared the plates . The food was only £4.95 for a three course meal how can u complain perfect will defo be returning xx

We stumbled into this bar/restaurant because other places in Whitley Bay were too full but we were so glad we did. We were warmly welcomed from first entering. The service was top notch and the food some of the best I've ever had and at a very reasonable price too.

Food was average and not an exceptional service either. Tried using the washroom, two of them were broken, one of the sink was also damaged, no tissues and no soap. When served the plates, one of them was dirty !! Overall not a very pleasant visit.

Very diasapointed on our first ever visit, menu states soup or skin on fries any pasta or pizza, ice cream or coffee,we arrived about 3.45 for the lunchtime special,went to order and was to no fries! (not a soup lover) asked for one of the pastas on the menu onto be told that only a small selection are included on the lunchtime special, ate main course then ordered ice cream, sorry sir no ice cream only coffee! Will not be in a hurry to return

We called in here simply as we wanted a coffee to warm ourselves up, only to find that they offer a 3 course lunch special (Monday to Friday) for £4.95 per person. Basic menu but absolutely lovely, the best value that I can ever recall coming across.

Been here a few times and never been disappointed. The £4.95 afternoon 3 course special is actually too cheap. Soup with toasted bread and butter or potato skins, any pizza or pasta followed by coffee or ice cream. Crazy price. Lovely restaurant with polite staff and great service. 6* from me

Very popular for the Sunday carvery I'd recommend going early for the best Sunday lunch I've experienced in ages. If you like your food fresh hot and tasty then don't walk past. Management and staff are brilliant. Will go back many times and can't wait to experience the evening menu.

Arrived and was greeted by a friendly member who took us to our table, he asked if the table was suitable which it was. We ordered drinks and food and was amazed by the quality of food as well as the excellent customer service, we were well looked after and were very impressed.

Lovely restaurant, very well decorated. Had the steak offer. Garlic mushrooms, delicious followed by pepper fillet steak cooked to perfection and proper chips. Too full to have the desert. Lovely pint of Madri too. Shame it wasn't very busy as it is a lovely place and reasonably priced

I would definitely recommend The Glass House, the staff are so friendly and the food is amazing. I need a gluten-free diet and they looked after me very well. Potato skins for starter, pasta as my main, then Eaton mess for my pudding. I left one happy lady 😊

I really can't fault this friendly restaurant. They catered brilliantly for our large party, even threw in a few freebies. We all had a great time!

Came here for the first time the other evening - staff were friendly and helpful. Food was lovely - wasn't too busy when we went but still good atmosphere - will def be back
