Super food, very good flavours. High end Indian. Loved it.

Had the taster menu at lunchtime. First two courses were a fixed dish followed by a good choice for remaining 3. All four of us had exceptional food that was a joy to eat. The Indian Shiraz was a first but highly recommend. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Loved it!

This was the best Indian food I have ever tasted in over 50 years. We went for the taster menu, each dish had a unique flavour and was cooked by brilliant chefs on site. No microwaved batch food here! The service was excellent, very attentive friendly staff, the restaurant was very clean and ordered, nice decor. Price was very fair. We traveled over 50 miles to eat here and it was well worth it, we will return. Highly recommended. Thanks guys.

Relatively nice food and restaurant - We began with a canapé of idli and tamarind chutney - I found it disappointing with no taste except bitterness, but the sauce was tangy and flavourful. We ordered the prawn and lamb chops for the starters - the lamb was cooked perfectly and had a nice texture and flavour was good but could have used some more salt and marination - I must mention they were exceptionally small - £18 pounds for two tiny lamb chops is not an enticing deal. The prawns were not up to standard - they had little to no taste at all and were slightly fishy - the sauces carried the entire dish saving face, but I consider the taste of the prawns to be of greatest importance - to which they didn’t impress (the apples were a nice touch though). Mains - we were pleasantly surprised as they turned my opinion around - We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Kadai Gosht, and Yellow Daal. The chicken was delicious- great flavours and the chicken was so tender, being cooked to absolute perfection. The lamb (gosht) was nearly as nice, being equally tender and flavourful, but could have done with some more heat. Finally, the daal was very flavourful, having a subtle garlic undertone and complemented the naan nicely. Overall the canapé should be avoided, starters - choose differently to what we did (lamb was nice if you are willing to pay the price) and mains - go for anything - I expect it to be held to the same standard as what we were served. I leave a 4 star - quite good, but there are some changes that could be implemented for improvement to a 5-star review.

I would give more stars if I could. my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and had a a lovely 3 course lunch. Every course was exceptional, tasty and well presented. Staff were friendly and welcoming taking the time to chat and check all ok, great atmosphere and we were given a celebratory chocolate brownie which was a nice touch thank you to all the staff we will be back x

Sensational curry, favourite curry in the area

We had a set 3 course voucher to use. Drinks On arrival, received bellinis that had cardomom and cinnamon syrup - couldn’t taste that at all. Just could taste prosecco. Starters Lamb Shami Kebab - texture was not nice at all. Took a bite and couldn’t eat the rest. Very morish and wasn’t what I expected. Told the waitress we didn’t like it and she said ‘do you want it in a takeaway box?’ Um no, we didn’t like it and just wasted a starter with it. Scallops - two tiny scallops, glad we had a voucher! Mains Kadai Gosht - was lovely! No fatty bits of meat. A lot of cardomom seeds to try dodge. Bengali Bhapa Prawns - just tasted like coconut milk with really rubbery prawns. Rice side - tiny and you only get 1. Dal - was not nice at all, tasted like it had cheese in it?! Again, tiny and only get 1. Garlic naan - lovely, 4 triangle slices. Desserts Okay, not amazing. We asked if we could add an extra starter that we’d obviously pay for, they said no. We asked if we could swap anything out for the dal as we both knew we weren’t fans, again they said no. They’re not very accomodating. The waitress seemed aloof to our disappointing experience and didn’t seem to understand things we were asking. Wasn’t worth the £9 service charge at all. Very disappointed for what looked like a highly regarded restaurant. Definitely wouldn’t waste your money here.

Absolutely amazing menu and food, excellent service. I can’t stop thinking about the tandoori prawn and lobster I had!

Did the 7 course tasting menu, which was great. The whole party was let down by the mains though, they didn't match the taste of the starters. Other than that it was good.

Absolutely outstanding. First class service, a lovely setting. The food is always incredible and the set menu is ridiculously good value. This was our 4th visit. I shall dream of the prawn curry for days to come Just a note that the set menu now includes rice & black dhaal making it even better value than before.

We had a beautiful meal for my wife's Birthday. I have to say, the prawn starter was just gorgeous! The staff were just lovely and very attentive. I would definitely recommend the cocktails alongside your meal!

A beautiful restaurant for my husband's birthday celebration. We certainly got culinary delights served by friendly staff. We ordered the set lunch menu for 22 people in advance with additional dishes to share, what exceptional service! All food allergies and preferences were respected. Thank you to the chefs, Nihar, Rohit, Kavinder and Jasham We would thoroughly recommend Vaasu restaurant, Marlow and we look forward to coming again.

What a wonderful experience! We had the tasting menu and we couldn't rate it highly enough. The staff are friendly and attentive but not overly so, the food is wonderful and the team are very alive to allergy and food preferences (we had one vegan meal and they were very careful to make sure I know what was vegan). The amount of food you get on the tasting menu and the quality makes it well worth the price! Would highly recommend going here :)

I went here for my 45th birthday during the day. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Every dish that got served had an explanation and detail of where it comes from and the ingredients. We had the lunch menu, which has 3-5 dishes you could choose from. The food was sublime, the taste was pit of this world, and none of it was greasy. In the end, they bought out a little cake and a candle for my birthday, which was a nice touch. We had one starter each and a main dish but complemented it with breads, which I also highly recommend. The food left me feeling comfortably full, and we shared a desert. The drinks menu is comprehensive, with a few beers/largers to choose from. A page of cocktails and different types of gin with a good menu covering white wine, red wine, champagne, and fizz. The food is reasonably priced. I would highly recommend you go here, especially for a special occasion.

Having lived in India for a year it was such a pleasure to enjoy this exceptional food and service. I will certainly be visiting again in the near future.

Visited Vassu last night with friends for the first time, We did the taster menu which was fantastic, the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and the staff were very good, Would definitely visit again.

I bought a 3 Course Lunch for Two voucher from Vassu. The food is amazing but please be aware that the 3 course set lunch does not include rice or bread so you do have to be prepared to spend a little extra. I bought my voucher as a Christmas gift but when the bill arrived we were given £38 credit for the voucher which does not cover the £25 per head lunch. When I queried this I was told that the lunch costs have increased from £19 per head to £25 so my voucher was a monetary amount not for two lunches. It is a lovely restaurant and the food and service were great, just be aware if you’re buying this for a gift.

Disappointed as reviews all very good. Very mediocre food at expensive price. Chicken thighs used cheaper meat rather than breast. Can't get much tastes Indian food for half the price. Also felt rushed to order. Wouldn't return.

It was an amazing experience celebrating my husband's birthday lunch at Vaasu. They even brought the cake for him with a candle on, that was very kind of them. The staff looked immaculate with suits and ties on, that was very impressive. Their service was very very quick. They all looked after us both with vegetarian meals and fruit juice as we both do not drink. We will definitely go back in the near future.

We had the set lunch menu. It was absolutely delicious, probably the best food we’ve had in Marlow to date. With everything being ridiculously expensive these days, while quality of product decreasing, Vaasu is a welcome breath of fresh air. We will definitely come back. Service on point.

Brilliant food and service, only slight problem was a very noisy table near us so couldn't really have a conversation.

A small and relatively quiet restaurant that serves exceptionally good food. We opted for the £69 taster menu and were not disappointed. It was exceptional. The wine flight was equally fantastic. Generous portions and perfect accompaniments to the food. I’d highly recommend this restaurant. I doubt you’ll be disappointed. (convenient car park behind, too)

I have been eating "Indian" meals for 50 years. Have had this stunning food I realise I have been misled. Fabulous flavours, excellent portions. Arrive hungry! 1 course 2 sides + drinks + service £60 pH. Full monty nearer £100 pH not cheap but terrific value for money. Super professional staff - enjoy

Absolutely stunning food. We were given a voucher for here so made a day of it in Marlow. The tastes of the three courses were amazing and food was quite different to your “usual” curry houses. Service was excellent as well. Would highly recommend

Hi sorry for the late review. Went for the dinner few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. My parents went for the first time and they loved the food and atmosphere. Dal, aloo Tikki and saag all were perfect and can’t thank the team more for their hospitality. Thank you

This waa the second time we visited. Noticed a drop in quality of service and quality of food. Had the scallops to start, they were cold. Had the muntjac for mains, this was overcooked and dry. The seabass starter was good as was the lamb shank. The staff were not as friendly and welconibg as the first visit.

Very glad I found this restaurant in Marlow, if you are looking for high end food with high end service look no further. Every dish was delicious and the service matched. It is a great way to try new dishes and flavours. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a delicious evening.

Loved the food and service. But I would have liked to see more vegetarian options in the set menu. I would hesitate to go back there due to the limited choice available for vegetarians.

Must go to restaurant. Service, food and the restaurant itself are all top notch. We had the lunch menu but found it difficult to choose as we like the look of everything. I had pheasant followed by butter chicken. Less than £35 per head for two course lunch at this superb restaurant is well worth a visit.

We were in this restaurant for lunch for the so-called vaucher, which my son bought as a gift for me on my birthday, I have the impression that because we did not order bottles of wine, but only water and beer, the staff treated us indifferently, very long breaks between meals, for the main course, we took it lamb, there were literally three tiny pieces of meat floating in a bowl of sauce, and on top of that, after a spoonful of rice, we also had to order bread, which others received in the set of this order, desserts were very average, the cutlery was placed on the table, not on a napkin, the desserts were very... average, atmospherevery average, we won't come back again

On the main road as you head out of Marlow to the East. There is a public car park opposite that you can park. The restaurant is small, well decorated, subdued lighting. The team are professional, polite and attend to every need and request. Everything is clean and tidy. The food is amazing. Portions are not huge, but more than ample is you have a set menu (lunchtime). There is a significant list of beverages to meet anyones tastes and wallet. We even asked for a desert to take home. We are already planning another trip very soon the food was so good.

First time here, great location and convinient parking especially with a toddler! 🙌🏼 we got there for lunch as we had some vouchers. Amazing menu, was amazed with how quick the place filled up! The lamb and prawn starters were 👌🏽 lamb and butter chicken curry yummy with Peshwari and garlic naan. The dishes came with lentils and rice which was nice. Not sure of the opera cake but the apple turnover and Icecream was a lovely dessert !! We also ended our meal with a. Light masala tea. Only one thing which was a down fall was no baby changing facilities 😣

I was hugely disappointed with the food. We only ordered the vegetarian options, so this review is about those specific dishes. The popadom sauces were boring, the starters were bland - paneer and bhaji. The bhaji was basic and claggy, as you might find in any below average Indian takeaway. Zero imagination and flavour ingenuity. The main, Paneer makhani, tasted like tomato soup with cumin in. Nothing had a freshness taste to it, it was all samey, sweet and creamy. Yawn! If you are vegan or vegetarian, I really would not bother. Thankfully it was not too expensive.

Absolutely fantastic food and service.

Vaasu was easy to book. However, the parking can be tough in Marlow, so a bit of planning is needed. Food choices were limited but excellent. Food itself was outstanding. Lamb chop and Butter Chicken are recommended. Gatte ki sabji is recommended to vegetarians. People very polite and efficient and place has a welcoming feel. Would recommend to add more options. We knew what we were getting and are extremely satisfied. Highly recommended.

Food, atmosphere and staff were lovely. The only thing that knocked a star off was that we were waiting about 45 minutes in between our starter and main. Far too long in my opinion. When i asked the waiter for x2 cokes, these also took ages to come, despite the bar not even looking busy. Had to call another member of staff to ask for them (and then they came straight away). My main was nice too, steak cooked to perfection! Although I’m not sure if the sauce that goes with it is really the best pairing.- a bit unusual.

Brilliant! Lunch, party of 4. Super service. Food near outstanding, imaginative and tasty. Suggestion: Lamb - good to reduce in size and include 1/2 rice in price. Apple fritters - not good choice for indian desert. But super formula. Poppadoms - definitely worth extra £6 per couple

Amazing food. Classic Indian flavors presented in modern contemporary form. Highly recommend. It is slightly costlier than a regular Indian restaurant. I recommend checking prices upfront so one has an idea what one is getting into.

Food is nicely prepared. Menu is creative but flavours are tuned down in my opinion. Been here multiple times in the past. Went for lunch and I must say that the menu is good but you have very little options if you don't pay extra on top of the fixed price.

Good food, we chose the seven course taster menu. However, the toilets were out use. This meant we had to use the facilities in the pub next door, a bit of a wetherspoon experience.
