Just what all the vegetarians and vegans of Derby needed. Becoming a regular place for takeaway nights. Staff are absolutely lovely, service is quick, food is tasty and good quality. Selection of food is excellent, with something for everyone, from pizzas, kebabs and burgers to curries. Recommend the kebabs and the southern fried chicken. Cant recommend this place enough! 💛

Lukewarm food was delivered. Asked for no sauce and it was put in the bag which in previous deliveries had leaked everywhere. Nuggets were cold and chewy. Don't have it delivered get it yourself.

V Shack very quickly became the go-to takeaway after the first time my partner and I tried it. A huge selection of really lovely vegetarian and vegan food at reasonable prices and good service too. Couldn't ask for more.

Been to V-Shack a couple of times now. Our go to place whenever we pop by Derby. Always had a wonderful experience here both with service and food. The staff is super friendly and food is delicious. I would definitely recommend everyone to pop by!

Quite possibly the best takeaway to ever exist! Such a varied menu, the food is insane and everyone is so nice and welcoming! My only issue is we find ourselves ordering WAY to often, as it really is that good. I couldn’t recommend enough!

The only problem here is that the food is so good that we're addicted and visit far too often. We're always served with a warm welcome, before they hand us our unbelievably tasty food (the vegan cakes are out of this world too!). Thank you so much and I hope the business continues to flourish because you definitely deserve it. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

I love V Shack and I wish I could give them an all five star rating. The food is incredible and no where else in Derby serves Vegan fast food that comes close. But, and it's a big but, I feel the owners and staff are simply lazy. They are destined to fail because of their laziness. Fast food until 10pm? Just because we're vegan that doesn't mean we want to eat before 10pm. We have just called at 9:40pm and they have told us the kitchen has closed. An odd location, early closing time and shutting the kitchen before the advertised time. Come on guys, we want to give you money but you're not helping yourselves! Happy to pay over the odds for the food and you charge use extra because we are 0.3 miles outside of the delivery area but give us a chance - if you're not even open until your advertised hours how can we order from you?! Incredible food, can't rate your enough but too hard to order. Sorry guys, need to work harder.

A delicious variety of food to suit all tastes! The ingredients are fresh and the prices very reasonable. This is a family-run business that puts so much care and consideration into the food it prepares. My only regret is not living a little closer - I’d love to be able to stop by and treat myself on a more regular basis!

So excited to find a takeaway that does vegan food! And they are so so good. The milkshakes are amazing! Wasn't keen on the favouring/spice on the vegan fish but the batter and fish itself were so good. The Vegan kebabs were awesome. Would recommend and we will be going back.

We’ve tried VShack a couple of times over the last few months. We’ve been really impressed with the quality, especially the burgers, they’re best in Derby! Bravo to the team. The price is a tad bit expensive, so we reserve this place as a treat not our regular takeaway! Huge improvement over the past year or so! Keep it up!

V Shack is an amazing takeaway. As non vegetarians, we were apprehensive but now V Shack is our favourite. The food is always beautiful and unlike other takeaways doesn't leave you feeling rubbish after due to the high quality. The staff are always so friendly and helpful too, if you haven't tried it yet I highly reccomend.

Have been going near weekly since this place opened and could not fault it even a single time! A decent range of options for vegans and with chip shop style chips too.

Wow! In our local area there is very limited vegan/vegetarian options, so we travel 40 mins just to come to the VShack. Found it by chance, but what a find! Very street food vibe, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about the food, everything is cooked fresh and Is piping hot every time we have been. If its Kebabs, Pizza or Southern fried chicken that takes your fancy its all delicious......the biggest thing is they are proper chips like from the chip shop which for a vegan is a rare find! Five star all the way and we will return again and again.

This place seems to be OK on weekends but I would avoid during the week or whenever they are not busy. During the week I have experienced reheated food. Dry chips and vegan food that tastes like rubber. On weekends their food is great but for the prices they charge I am really disappointed for the lack of quality during the week

We have been to V Shack a few times now since they first opened and cannot fault the quality of the food and service. The staff are very polite and friendly and I particularly enjoy the Tandoori Paneer Pizza and the Masala chips. I have no hesitation recommending them.

First visit this evening and ordered two tandoori paneer kebabs on naan. Stacks of salad and loads of paneer. Extremely tasty. Helpful staff who answered my zillion questions. Clean environment and easy parking. Would highly recommend.

Great food and cannot recommend enough

I've just had the best vegan pizza I've EVER had. The last few weeks I’ve had the absolute best doner kebab ever! The staff are all lovely and knowledgable and understand the need for good meat free fast food, while at the same time keeping the food options. Food is fresh and plentiful. The premises are stylish and clean. I’m slowly working through the menu safe in the knowledge that I can have anything at all. Well done to all concerned. Make sure you don’t change. We do a 20 mile round trip to get our Friday night takeaway and it s so worth it.

My first visit at the V Shack, and oh my goodness it was lovely! The staff were really accommodating and made the food to suit my pallet with regards to level of spice. Freshly made and the naan’s are so soft!! Very impressed and will be returning next time it’s takeout/takeaway night. Would highly recommend!!

Food here is amazing!! The service is always excellent and I can’t wait to go back. We prefer our pizza with less cheese and they always add right amount!! The portion sizes are extremely generous and it’s definitely value for money.

This was my first trip to the V Shack and definitely won’t be my last. There was so much choice that I took a while to decide but eventually opted for the vegan fish, chips and mushy peas. It was hot, tasted very fresh and clean and the vegan tartare sauce and wedge of lemon was a lovely touch. Delicious! The staff were lovely and friendly and the establishment is spotless. Portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced. Five stars from me. Can’t wait to try something else vegan. Well worth a visit 😋

We have had orders from there 4 times and every time have been fantastic flavours, service, supper clean and friendly people.

Even though I have marked it a 4/5 I will 100% be going back... Here is why... To have a takeaway suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans first of all is amazing to have locally. I have been a vegetarian 15 years now and I know I can order from here and there will be no meat contamination which is amazing. I ordered for myself, my Fiancé and my parents. 2 of us are Vegetarian and 2 of us are meat eaters. We ordered the Shahi Paneer Curry (Comes with a Naan), 1 Halloumi Burger which was a meal deal with chips and a drink, 1 Classic Burger and 1 lot of chips. Everything was really tasty and even my Dad who doesn't normally have Vegetarian food really enjoyed his classic burger. We put on the notes what sauces etc we wanted off and on and they were followed everything correctly. We did feel like we had to reheat the curry and chips when they arrived as they were not piping hot but we thought this might be the case as we have ordered from another place near heatherton (to Mickleover) and had to reheat their food too so I believe it is the distance between them and us at home, but that's ok as it still saves us cooking and is a lovely treat. The drink from the meal deal was also forgotten but V Shack quickly provided a couple of options on how to fix it which we really appreciated. The food itself was lovely and they were good portions, the curry was just over £11 but it was split between 2 people and there was plenty! It was a bit Spicer than we though even though it is listed as mild, I had to quickly get some water at one point but it was still lovely. Plus the Naan bread was great as well. My partner enjoyed his Halloumi burger and the classic burger was enjoyed too, the chips were also very nice. The food may have arrived luke warm but the owners of V Shack are really "on it" when it comes to trying to fix the problem and trying to sort out their own delivery options as sometimes Uber eats delivered to multiple places on the way. I can't wait to try it again and try some of their other options, I will then review it again 🙂

Delicious food, served by friendly people! Being a vegetarian, options were always limited, but now with VShack in derby, we couldn’t be any happier!

We had: V Shack chips Masala Chips V Shack Feast Pizza 🍕 Beyond Burger 🍔 in a Brioche bun. All the food in this place is vegetarian, and trust me when I say it was bloody tasty, full of great spices and herbs. and I love chicken, lamb, pork, steaks and all that stuff. Collected the food from their shop in Highfields, Derby which was spotless and has a nice friendly atmosphere. The service was fast, professional and efficient and we really did enjoy the food.

I’m always so sad coming home because finding vegan food close by is difficult - so glad I visited today!! I had the doner kebab with chips which was amazing, portion was huge. My non-vegan friend had the lamb kebab which was also amazing. The vegan biscoff milkshake had to be my fav tho I think about them 24:7 💛💛💛 staff so lovely and helpful too thank you!!!

Had the shahi paneer pizza. Amazingly tasty. Full of flavour. The large chunks of paneer were great and could taste a whole variety of different spices. These guys definitely know how to cook. Would recommend. Vegetarian/vegan is the future!

I love this place - the quality of the food is amazing, it’s reasonably priced and they have a great range. My favourite so far is the tandoori (soya) chicken kebab. So tasty! It’s like “dirty food” only better - it’s not greasy and I don’t get that heavy feeling when I’m done. Probably some of the nicest vegan takeaway food I’ve tried. The staff are also friendly and helpful, and my partner and I have been a few times now. Would definitely recommend!

VShack is just what Derbyshire needed - a vegan joint you can trust! We have shared many meals with friends, enjoyed everytime. They consistently provide excellent meals with great taste and there's options for everyone from pizza to kebabs, burgers and hotdogs! Our favourite is the soya masala chaap and the new fish burger!

That's a big YES. First time we've ordered, the choice wasn't really for us, but now we had pizza and kebab Southern Fried Chicken witch chips and couldn't ask for more. Beautiful big portion for a reasonable price and proper chipy chips. Definitely will be ordering again 👌

There are very few vegan/vegetarian places offering quality food in Derby and this is definitely one of them! V Shack has a variety of delicious, tasty and fresh food prepared on site. I would highly recommend the Beyond Burger meal (served with chippy chips) - the burger is delicious. The southern friend "chicken" salad is also delicious, crispy and fresh. Feedback - the vegan milkshakes are not rich and creamy as others so these could do with some shaking up and the prices are a bit higher than other such places. However, the food quality is second to none - well done to V Shack. Keep up the great work.

We ordered a doner kebab and a SFC kebab with chips and they were both SO DELICIOUS! The kebabs were prepared with such care, the mixture of salad and sauces made them taste even more amazing. And the best thing was we didn't feel an ounce of regret afterwards (which is surely standard with kebabs right?!). The staff are really friendly and always open to feedback. The shop itself is spotless. The pizzas are fantastic too. Would thoroughly recommend!

A very nice vegan and Vegi place to get a take away. There is a very large selection of choice from Vegan Doner Kebabs, Pizzas, chips, soya burgers and much more. The service is excellent, and our food was warm when picked up. On top of this, the place is very clean and tidy and staff are polite. The staff even offered me a choice of different dips with Vegan Mayo as an option. Highly recommend and will order again.
