Urban Lounge in Norwich

This place has recently changed hands. The menu remains the same, food remains good, prices the same. Staff still finding their feet, but nothing to fault. We've been here quite a few times, always lunchtime. We don't fit the demographic - couple of old codgers on bicycles. We like the vibe, though at quiet times have been known to ask for the music to be turned down.

Really disappointed with my last meal there. Ordered the “large” breakfast. When arrived, was missing a sausage, had half a tiny black pudding, cold bread instead of toast. Cold tomatoes and a tiny portion of “urban” beans. Not entirely sure what was urban about them. + no one came to check on us. Only one asked if everything was okay as we walked out the door

This was our first visit. Excellent pancakes and great coffee - bit of a wait due to Deliveroo orders but overall very good and we’ll definitely be back

Went there yesterday with 2 other friends (2 of us were there for the first time). Waited for our food 45 minutes. When it arrived it wasn't even hot. And the place wasn't even busy! We fancied some smoothies but they weren't on the menu. We then noticed some people ordering smoothies so not sure what that was about. All in all looks like a good place, but the waiting times and the service is below average.

Absolutely stunning food with a great atmosphere!! We had breakfast and it was fantastic. Made to feel very welcome, service was fast and everything clearly so fresh.

Came across this place and noticed they sold grounded coffee and purchased it. 5 minutes later after walking away I realised that they sold me coffee beans, so went back and politely asked if this could be exchanged- which the staff said even though they advertise it they didnt sell it and only sell the beans-so requested a refund. At this point they couldn’t see my transaction on the till and asked if I even paid for it? The guy who served me was there but didn’t mention he served me at that time- I was then asked to check my internet banking to check the transaction has gone through and for them to see this also???? Because if it didn’t go through then no refund is required????(Could have asked the staff member who served me?????) Eventually they found my purchase- said it’s been refunded- but still hasn’t. So keep the £6… not worth the re visit.

Disappointed with staff attitude, aloof and abrupt. Asked for a scrambled egg with breakfast but that wasn’t something they would do despite there being scrambled egg on the menu as another choice. Chose an alternative which was very nice, well presented and what I could eat was tasty but the toast was so hard it literally pinged across the room every time I tried to cut it. Embarrassing and hard work, very difficult to consume. Extremely loud music blasting which made conversation difficult so all in all not somewhere I’d recommend or visit again.

My son lives in Australia and was able to order me a delicious brunch today from his Uber Eats account there, to be delivered to me here in Norwich to celebrate my 70th birthday. The food was amazing, as was the real freshly squeezed orange juice. So good to be able to get a healthier option delivered to your door, especially when it was ordered over the other side of the World!

Firstly I love the industrial design of the interior, the owner has done a really great job. It maintains a clean and uncluttered feel. The music playing was a great vibe. Loved the food - we both had the full breakfast but I have to give a special mention to the egg - delicious burford brown! The other food leaving the kitchen looked really exciting so I definitely look forward to returning to sample some of the other delights.

Superb coffee and vibes. Very kool place. Music superb: great example of cosmopolitan England. Tourism heaven I would imagine.

10 out of 10. Urban lounge is the best place for brunch in Norwich!! Dog friendly! The food is always amazing and the staff are really welcoming . We go there most weekends for brunch. Dog friendly. Great manager (Greg). Free parking on a few streets nearby.

Norwich isn't exactly short of places to go for breakfast or brunch. Located on Magdelen Road, Urban Lounge is slightly off the beaten track but definitely rewards those willing to take a bit of a detour from the city centre. We've now visited twice and on both occasions have been greeted by friendly, polite staff, an artistic vibe and some really good food and drink that caters for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I can vouch for both the smokey harissa eggs and the turmeric scrambled eggs being excellent - both give the impression that they really do care about the food here. So basically, take a bit of a walk outside of the centre of Norwich and give Urban Lounge a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Excellent breakfast, smoothie, coffee and service. The best breakfast I’ve had in a long time . I would highly recommend to go there.

First time at Urban Lounge certainly won’t be the last . Relax atmosphere . Aesthetics were pleasing to the eye. Customer service excellent. Great menu choice. Food was amazing using quality ingredients , well prepared and presented. Amazing coffee without a bitter aftertaste.

Our first visit. From 12 til 3.30pm on Friday. Lovely atmosphere, bright, airy environment. Service very good. We stayed as we weren't rushed and happy to enjoy a couple of drinks and an excellent brunch

Had a lovely meal. Wouldn't have changed a thing on the plate. Lovely warm friendly service. Will visit again. Great variety on a menu that offers a lot without being over the top. Incredible produce beautifully cooked and presented. You will not be disappointed.

Went for evening drinks and food food was fantastic, we ordered from the new menu pizza's and small plates, service was so friendly. My wife loved the cocktails. Such a great vibe with cool music. Will definitely be retuning.

Came here for lunch and catch up with my friend. As ever the food was excellent and beautifully presented. Great service and friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Our party arrived at just after 7pm having pre ordered and paid for our food (pizzas). They began to arrive two at a time with the last one arriving at 9.20pm by which time most of the party had left and gone home. No apology to those still waiting until the end and in the meantime a fortune being spent on drinks! Food expensive for what it is.

Amazing! Such lovely food, way better than regular poached eggs on toast and a lovely coffee too. Highly recommended for breakfast, I'll be trying their pizza too, looks unreal!

Martini espressos a long time due catch up with my daughter who thoroughly recommends this place.....and she wasn't wrong! Cocktails were great, had to try some cake too. Definitely will be back for the brunch, of and the Christmas menu looks like a good thing.

Came across this place by accident whilst visiting family in Norwich. The service was second to none and the staff couldn't do more to make us welcome and accommodate us. I honestly dread having to eat pizza anywhere else and even considering giving it up...
