First time takeaway 28/10/2023 was great food was hot and very tasty. My partner is fussy and don’t really eat Indian. She had a korma sauce and said it was lovely the best she has had we shared sag aloo with rice she said that was really tasty too. Just got another delivery this evening 4/11/2023 and just as good as last week Also the delivery driver is very polite

Firstly the good points. Ourselves and friends have been going here for many years and in all that time ,despite some ups and downs, we usually really enjoyed the food. We even enjoyed it recently,after the the London borough of Havering awarded them ZERO points after a food hygiene inspection. I tried to find out exactly what the problem was ,but my request under the freedom of information act was refused by LBH. Sadly we will no longer be using what was our favourite Indian restaurant, until their hygiene rating has been very much improved upon.

Very accommodating, we arrived quite late in the night and they sat us down no problem and served us, food and service was fantastic!

We have ordered take away from here for many years and also occasionally we eat in the retaurant, it's always good food and good service.

Pre booked our table for 8. The restaurant looks fresh & clean. We had a warm welcome, we ordered drinks. A bottle of Prosecco which unfortunately was served in a wine glass & not a Prosecco glass. We ordered a fair amount of food & it was all very tasty & served lovely and hot. We ordered more drinks which did take a while to arrive. But overall we enjoyed our time & I would definitely go here again as the food was delicious.

Sadly I really can’t rate this restaurant any higher. The food is really quite good but what let’s the place down is the manager who is just so unwelcoming and rude. We came for a meal at around 9pm on a Thursday evening. As soon as we entered and asked for a table for four the manager made a point of checking his watch and basically made us feel as though he is doing us a favour. This wasn’t the first time his attitude has made us feel uncomfortable, however we did come back to give him the benefit of the doubt. To add to this he became very ungrateful when we added a good tip via our debit card and not cash. Sadly we will not be returning, there is plenty of other good restaurants in Hornchurch who are happy for your custom

Popped in on the off chance, our first visit although we’ve had a takeaway before. Staff made us very welcome and covid precautions in place. The service was very good without being too pushy. The food was great, served hot. The mains were very tasty, one of us trying something different for a change. A lamb dish with lentils whichever was thoroughly appreciated. No leftovers at all. Will definitely visit again.

We use the take away at Elm Park al the time. For my sons 21st Birthday we were having a famIly themed party and needed the food to be delivered at a specific time. The food was delivered at exactly the time we asked. As usual it was excellent with plenty of extras thrown in and good quality.

Ordered a takeaway for a specific time, they delivered it 1 hour early, the food was not for me. Upon realising their error, they took it away and said they would bring the food at the correct time. When they arrived with food at correct time, I asked them to assure me it was fresh. They said it was. The food was disgusting, cold and had clearly been put aside for an hour. We asked for a refund which we were told we would receive. WE DID NOT GET A REFUND!! DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT, THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. WE WERE RIPPED OFF!!

My husband and I have been to this Indian before but were a little concerned about going into a small restaurant with the current situation. We decided to give it a try and went at 6.30pm on a Monday. The tables are set out with plenty of space between them and people were sat at every other table to add to the distancing. The food as always for very tasty and piping hot when brought to the table which is something that is important to me. With the EOTHO discount it was a great value meal in a relaxed setting We will be back.

We ordered food for our ward at queens hospital as it was our colleagues birthday, they delivered the food which had come later than expected, then to be cold and not even packaged correctly where some of it had leaked out the containers it was in. We called the restaurant to speak to them about this and they were on the Back foot straight away calling us liars and passing it to different managers Who were all not resolving the issue, we had spent £168 not to be treated in that manner, I hope they see and read this and hopefully correct their ways

While the delivery ran a bit late, after I phoned in to inquire, I was very pleased afterwards. We were delighted to be gifted with poppadums, a lovely bottle of wine and everything was super tasty and delicious. We will definitely order again!

We visited Uraswamy's and enjoyed yet another lovely meal there. The ambience isinviting, warm and comfortable and well set out. It has nice pictures around the restaurant. We had a range of dishes which were cooked lovely and well presented. The portions of food were very good. All the dishes were fresh and tasted really good and were spiced to perfection. The staff are nothing but excellent, attending to every need we had. Great value for money, and we will definable be returning. Well done and thank you for a great evening!

Very bland food and expensive! Usualy go to taste of bengal which knocks spots of this restaurant for flavour and value for money plus the guys are nice people! Thought we would come here for a change but wont be returning

We had yet another excellent meal at Uraswamy's last night. The service is good and there is always a friendly welcome. Added to that we got a discount on the meal via a website which made the prices even more reasonable.

Poor tasteless food. Was charged £3.20 for two popadums while the menu price should be £1.80. When we questioned it we were told the double charge is for the chutney etc which we did not order and is always complimentary where ever I have been. This was taken away after starters .... if I’m paying for it it should not be taken away without asking.

We are regular visitors but brought some business partners to enjoy the same welcome and excellent food we often get. Our 8 business friends were really impressed with the service as we came early on the Friday evening, the food was served quickly and efficiently and they thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. It was also a joy to interact with the staff of how the food was prepared and different spices they use. So we ended up with a very successful evening. I would thoroughly recommend them for any occasion.

Had dinner here yesterday evening with my husband, we usually go for a meal every week or so and we chose this place as it seemed in a nice high street in a built up area, we have been to many Indian restaurants but the food here unfortunately had very minimal flavour, was not cooked with any sort of herbs they usually use, the sauce in the korma wasn’t how it should be, there was no effort made when any of our dishes were cooked.

Absolutely horrendous evening we had here; the food was bland, the service was horrible and they are definately NOT a child friendly restaurant! The manager is extremely rude and arrogant, he has no manners and the forks we were dirty with leftover food in them. Avoid this place like the plague!!

Terrible service. I visited with my husband and my two daughters, we have indian at least once a week so i know what to expect from a mild curry! The cleanliness and mannerism of staff was unacceptable they were rude and made remarks amongst themselves in their language. My food was served after a long time and it was cold. The curry was watery. I asked for our food to be mild, not watered down!. Tablewear was dirty, the grooves in between the fork had leftover food in it! An absolutely Horrible experience. Never again. They didnt once apologise or accept fault. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!

I recently visited Uraswamy's as a small group of six people; I have previously had takeaway from this restaurant and really enjoyed the quality of the food which is why we decided to visit.

I have been going to Uraswamy's for years. The food has been exceptionally good and consistent throughout. The matar paneer (cheesy peas) is the best you will taste. My favourite would be the Green chicken from Goa, very tasty dish and extremely tender chicken.

The food was sublime having ordered the Thursday night special meal. Fantastic value for money at £11 each. Tasty, hot, just as i like and delivered on time. Cannot score less than 5 stars as it was mouth watering, delicate and plentiful. Well done!

We havent been into Uraswamys since its facelift. The restaurant looks very stylish. The food has always been good here but tonight the food was excellent!!!! We will definitely use more often. Worth it!!!

We have been to pretty much all the indians in hornchurch and this is by far the best! Always cooked properly!... they leave a good enough time between your starter and mains!

We ate here on Saturday night, the restaurant was buzzing and the food was outstanding. The waiters are all very attentive. Every dish tastes so fresh and flavoursome. We’ll definitely be back again.

We love the food here... very fresh and piping hot. Chicken used in the dishes is tender and breast meat . Can’t fault food eaten in the restaurant and had it delivered. Reasonable prices and would recommend.

Great service, great curry and a reasonable price. Uraswamy's really know how to provide good service, it is quick and efficient and most importantly after a few pints it dishes up quality, mouth watering food. Five people, ate five different mains and everyone was happy! Give this place a go, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Bought a take away Thursday night , really nice place , whilst waiting was given a beer on the house. The staff are polite and friendly, the chicken chat purée is spot on and my 2 year old who is a very fussy eater loved the tikka masala. I will definitely come back and would like to eat in next time as it's a very clean and comfortable restaurant. Worth every penny.

Ordered at 6.55 was told delivery at 7.55. Called restaurant at 8.20 to be told it had left and should be with me. Delivery driver called at 8.30 to say he was 'lost' 10 minutes away and had only just left the restaurant.

Me gustaría dar las gracias al personal por su excelente servicio. Fui con amigos y mi tastercard que dio un buen descuento y servicio de segunda esperaba. No es el caso. . Nada era demasiado problema y la comida era encantador. . . Tuve puri gambas para empezar y pollo dansak. Todos platos. eran perfectos. . . Incluso tomó las sobras a casa. Sin duda volvería allí y lo recomiendo a mis amigos y familia.

We always get our Indian from Uraswamy's, we do pick ours up as delivery times can be long and the food slightly cold. The Korma is always lovely and creamy and the Vegetable curry with the biryani is great!

El lugar ha cambiado mucho con un poco más de un ambiente más luminoso que la oscuridad moodier lugar que solía ser. El servicio era bueno y la comida eran igualmente sirven bien. Presentación de algunos de los platos de arranque es ahora un poco más lujoso que recuerdo, pero la comida principal todavía es servido en una multitud de pequeños de acero woks que dejó nuestra mesa poco sobrecargado. No creo que los platos eran caros y en general me alegraría recomendar y volver a tener otra comida yo

they have put take away prices up to charge at 'Just Eat prices- it cost £50 for 4 of us to have a abit of food each- no offers and 80p for a tiny pot mango chutney is ridiculous!

I've been here a couple times and thought I'd leave a review before I visit again next week.The food and service here I received has always been great - always made to feel welcome and looked after whilst dining here. The flower given to the ladies at the end of the evening is always a lovely touch also.Quite a short review as there isn't much to dislike about the restaurant.I loved the food here - it was some of the best-tasting Indian food I have had, and was not too oily as it can often be in other restaurants. Looking forward to visiting again and would definitely recommend to others!

Used to use this restaurant pretty much every Friday night for a long while but changed favourite curry house some time back. But thought I would give a try again tonight. Staff were friendly and attentive and was offered a complementary drink whilst I waited to collect the food. Service pretty quick and decent value at £21 fir two mains with rice , 2 sides and poppadoms. But food sadly was just average. Each dish just lacked a bit in flavour and compared unfavourably with other restaurants. Shame. Will probably try again next year but it's back to my usual takeaway next time.

Lovely food .... great staff....affordable pricingthe restaurant has been refurbished and has a modern feel now that puts me off personally... but the food and service remain the same very nice tasting and never rushed. Tend to get it delivered home now as really miss the traditional cosy Indian feel .

Just wanted a straightforward Indian on first night back in UK after a year and Uraswamys delivered and more. Read the reviews on here and so ordered a Lamb Manchurian even though not the biggest fan of sweet and sour, and it was gorgeous (but you got to like chili hot). Wife also delighted with her Lamb Mango Delight. Garlic Nan and Chapati were both well cooked too. Value and flavour from the top of the road!

I last visited this restaurant probably more than 20 years ago. Went here last night and the food was wonderful. We had all vegetarian dishes and they were really delicious.. The Sag Paneer especially. All the staff were very polite and helpfulWe had a taste card so the meal for the three of us was very reasonable.Will definitely return
