I have used this cafe for years but will not be going again.Queued up for ten minutes only to be very abruptly told we could not have a breakfast.

so glad that we saw the sign at the top of the alleyway pointing to this cafe. Really lots of choice, decided to go for a sandwich each, lovely thick sliced fresh bread, good quality fillings, two sandwiches, salad, drink and crisps all for just over £10 , highly recommend .

Bacon Roll and Coffee: buena comida para llevar.

I bought a pulled pork and stuffing baguette which was hot and tasty. There is a choice of baguettes and pasties and hot and cold drinks. The prices are not too bad either. Very nice.

4.69 for a part frozen hot dog in a bit of bread after a 25 minute queue. Wasn't until I boarded train I realised what turgid appalling bit of grub I'd been ripped off for. Hang your heads in shame. What an absolute rip off.

Old fashioned, cheap breakfast café. Did the full fry up, got what I expected. Not somewhere to impress a client, fine for a chat with colleagues.

Have walked past here on hundreds of occasions and wanted to pop in for some food, it always looks busy which seemed a good sign. Ate here yesterday for lunch and was pleased to find that the food was tasty, plentiful and good value for money.I had an omelette and chips which was huge and my friend a sandwich and chips which was also huge, the sandwich alone would have been plenty! On the whole very good, only drawbacks are that it is quite small so perhaps if you time it wrong you may struggle to find a seat and that the waitress was a bit grumpy, perhaps she was just having a bad day as the guys behind the counter were very pleasant and friendly. Will return sometime when in the city.

Tucked away down Star Alley, off Fenchurch Street, Upper Crust offers a fabulous bacon sandwich with outdoor tables overlooking the ancient church tower of All Hallows Staining. In wet weather you can of course eat indoors. Recommended breakfast stop.

What has happened to upper crust? Alright it's national chain sandwich bar but consistency you would expect ( McDonald's Burger King etc) But upper crust lost the plot Stale not crusty Bland not tasty Sadly captive audience as changed trains Highly not recommended!!!!!

Recently came here for a visit during our trip to London for a few beers. Had to visit as my brother had worked here many years ago. Beer was great. Staff was friendly.
