Good pub for a pint with a lot of draught beer to chose from. Live music almost every night, but not to loud, so you can still have a conversation with mates.

It's a busy pub in a busy area. The best thing is the live music, the worst thing tends to be the crowd it attracts and the miserable staff. I asked for a table to be wiped over because it was covered in sticky drinks, the waitress walked round, stood at the table and passed me a J cloth, they weren't even busy at this stage... Standard pub prices. Good size pub. Nice outdoor area. Well located.

Happened to be in town when England were playing Spain in the Euros final. Uplands had the game on large TVs. Standing room only left, the place was packed and I was pleasantly surprised how much the Welsh were supporting England. The pub itself has very interesting decor, lots of old album covers on the walls and other music related stuff. There's a small stage at the back behind the bar. Pretty cool looking venue in my opinion.

A Swansea classic, although pints are twice the price as the pub across the road.

Nice place great atmosphere. Bands are good on the weekend when it gets busier. Nice mix of people. Unfortunately prices have gone up and it's no longer affordable to drink here.

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere, made all the better by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. It doesn't serve food which means the focus is kept on the beer, the cocktails and the live music. Definately the best pub in Swansea!

Watched my wife playing on a Sunday. Great venue with good drink selections and amazing snacks. Atmosphere was spot on and staff were friendly and quick. It would have been 5 stars but the men's toilets aren't great. They need a bit of an update. Will visit again.

Went on open mike night. Very good 👍

Very disappointed to arrive for open mic night to be told under 18’s have to leave immediately. Venue looked good but sadly we were unable to stay to enjoy. I would advise that it’s advertised as an over 18’s venue to prevent future disappointment as most venues permit under 18’s to perform.

Last weekend, I visited The Tav for first time in over a decade. While the decor and staff had changed, I was met with the same warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere I remembered from all those years ago. The bar was well stocked and the venue itself had clearly defined areas, that catered to every kind of patron. A stage for live music (which broadcast to a big screen round the opposite side of the bar), a beer garden for smokers and dog owners, games like shuffleboard and pool, as well as a "snug" for a cosy, quiet drink. My family, friends and I had a FAB night. I'm looking forward to another visit soon.

I go for the bands. The beers are good but expensive. The staff are all polite and helpful

A Greene King tavern with a unique, local character. The interior is very cool and spacious with pool tables and shuffleboard available, live music playing most nights of the week, and a broad selection of reasonably priced beer. They also made my alcohol-free girlfriend a very good sofa and lime (lots of lime juice). Solid pub. Small note: I would like to encourage all Swansea pubs to stock Drop Bear beers as a standard alcohol free offer - their beers are both gluten and alcohol free, as well as being a Swansea-based company.

Lovely and grubby. Great choice of local real ale 🍺 approximately £5+ a pint . Staff are really good 👍 place itself looks tired and toilets have seen much better days. No locks working on either cubicle in the mens . Nice outdoor area which is well maintained.

Decent local bar, with polite staff and a wide selection of drinks. Didn't have food. The Live music is great.

Great pub with great selection of beers and craft/guest ales. There are always interesting rums hidden around the back of the huge gin display. Friendly staff and an amazing music line up. Acoustic nights on Sundays are particularly good.

Brilliant pub quiz on a Tuesday night plus a great selection of beers/rums/cocktails! The only downside was the state of the blokes toilets... 😬

Absolutely rammed inside on Friday night. 4 deep at the bar with servers serving as fast as they could but long wait times. Ran out of shot glasses. Live band helped create a great atmosphere as well as friendly staff

Well here we are again... but nothing changes.... excellent helpful staff always willing to help out with anyone. As for the Landlady, so welcoming for well behaved punters but to be fair, takes no prisoners if you step out of line..... good old fashioned pub .. brilliant !!! (GET OUTTA MA PUB!!! )

Another top drinking and entertainment location, staff are super friendly, and the location is superbly situated in uplands for both students and locals alike, loses hslf a star for prices, but that's everywhere, I guess.

Fantastic pub, great atmosphere with an excellent selection of larger with a lovely bar staff to serve us. Would recommend to anyone who’s coming to uplands for a nice refreshing pint

Really lovely pub in Uplands. Sat outside in the sun. And prices are reasonable. Have been here twice now and both times have been served by John who is really friendly and his service is excellent

John is an outstanding bartender and really made our experience at the Uplands Tavern a memorable one. Both times I've visited the bar, John has been friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. He goes above and beyond to ensure that his customers are happy and satisfied with their experience. Not only is John a great bartender, but he also has a great personality and makes the atmosphere at the Uplands Tavern even more enjoyable. He's always up for a chat and genuinely seems to enjoy interacting with his customers. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Uplands Tavern, and specifically request to be served by John. He's a great asset to the bar and truly made our experience there unforgettable.

Thursday 9th March 2023 Today I visited this spacious friendly locals pub I was impressed with the 4 beers on 2 banks of 2 hand pumped real ales The barstaff so friendly and accommodating The locals in this pub today were so friendly and helpfully fofilling to my questions I could not have been more grateful Keep up this everyone

Great place if you enjoy live music. Good selection of beers and large terraced to the front so you can sit outside in the summer or the winter if you really want to!

Was here for the first time over the weekend, and what an amazing time I had !!! The place had such an amazing atmosphere, and amazing cocktails and not to mention the level of service was impeccable, i even had to ask for one of the guys names because his service was out of this world !!! So if you are ever here and served by Shane you are in for an amazing night will be visiting again whenever I have the opportunity!!!

Large pub with roadside seating. Many tables dotted around inside. Serves beers,wines etc, food. TV's at various locations.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, impressive array of drinks, fantastic music, would have been five stars, but the ladies’ toilets were absolutely disgusting. They say the final judgement of an establishment is their facilities and these were beyond dreadful.. broken toilet seats, liquid on the floor, very smelly.

Seemed to be a lot of tension between the staff and the manager. Awkward atmosphere. Manager seemed Unempathetic and patronising to the staff. Won’t go back.
