Rather mixed experience. My husband’s ‘full English’ was well cooked and enjoyable. My ‘banana pancakes’ were very disappointing . They were from a packet rather than freshly cooked, and were very much less than fresh anyway. Nicely served, with fresh banana and maple syrup, but stale nevertheless, The coffee was hot and of decent quality.

First visit here and sadly it will be my last. No menus visible on arrival, so had to ask. Not a big choice on the menu, so you would think they would have all the ingredients, sadly not. No bubble and squeak. The food was bearable. Burnt mushroom. There was a dog going in and out of the kitchen - not hygienic. Staff were ok. Really disappointing as it could be lovely.

Enjoyable lunch although this time the tuna melt panini were a little crunchy. Not helped by the fact too that the open side of Table 5 was crowded by the occupants of the adjacent table. However the Christmas ware & welcoming reindeer are not to be missed. Well worth a visit & good value

Came here for a coffee and cake. The venue was filthy. Dirty plates on multiple tables not cleared which is understandable if it’s busy but it wasn’t. Something had been spilt all over the floor and just a wet floor sign put down the whole floor was covered with dirt and dust. We had chosen to sit on the sofas the table was covered with dirty plates but what was worse there were flies everywhere. 6 or 7 bluebottles just on the sofa chairs opposite us flying past our heads. After ordering and being told to sit down it took 30 minutes to get our coffee, which although was hot and tasted nice was unacceptable waiting time. Out tea cakes didn’t come with it we waited 10 mins after being told they would follow but gave up and went to get them ourselves from the counter. They had been sat there under a light and by the time we got them were not just cold but stale too. Will never come here again. One poor girl was doing everything and the other two men were just faffing about. If you are thinking of coming here don’t bother

Upcountry is a lovely nursery with loads of potential and really adds to the local community however the cafe is really letting it all down. We used to come all the time but the place is filthy and badly run. Tables not cleared or cleaned, run by young staff who look miserable and just don't want to be there, with no customer service skills what so ever. Massive wait times, spilt water on the floor which is a hazard not cleared. Please do better. The cafe could be such an asset.

Used to have breakfast here from time to time and was always good but last three visits have been poor and won't be bothering again. Once is unlucky, twice... maybe, but three times now. First time was decent enough but the hash browns were still cold inside having probably been cooked from frozen - properly cold and soggy rather than not cooked through cold. Second time the sausage in the breakfast wrap was cremated. Must have sat in the oven for hours. Was like chewing a meat flavoured stick of rock. Saturday - sausage sandwich. Low budget white bread (not fresh) with very average sausages (at least they didn't break my teeth this time). However, the four finger marks squashed into the bread where someone must have held it in place to cut it was pretty grim. Not being able to cook is one thing, not being able to cut something half...

Poor sandwiches, tables around us stacked with old food, windows with cobwebs that looked years old and building work whilst we were eating. 3 cafe staff and 4 customers - all the staff were staring at their phones, doing things clearly more important than…..working. We won’t be coming back.

Our first visit to the cafe in this garden centre. What a disaster. The floor obviously had not been swept for a few days and tables were dirty. A sausage roll costs £2.99 and you can buy 4 for £3 at Greggs down the road. Will not be going there again

Not worth the money, I wanted to treat myself as I was working a very long day, ordered my favourite Chai tea latte, and an almond croissant. There were some people in front of me, and 4 people behind the counter, it was about 1/2 before closing time Sunday afternoon. I went an waited for my tea and had the croissant, two people were obviously cleaning and tidying up, only actually preparing the orders, which one was apparently a very big order of cold drinks. I thought I would enjoy the croissant while I waited, it turned out to be utterly dry and not nice and no almond filling inside. I had two mouthful and put it in the bin, I waited for my tea and waited for my, there were still only one person making the orders, so I left with a very bad taste of not being serviced, as there was still 4 people behind the counter, but not 4 people service the customers. Priorities looked very off.

The food here is delicious and it’s amazing to find so many vegan options that also taste lovely. The Bronuts are inspired! Worth a visit alone. The kitchen opening times are a bit hit and miss which can be frustrating. The staff are very friendly. The decor is pleasant although the music can be too loud and distracting. The only change that could make it better would be if it opened all day especially at weekends.

I'd never visited before. I despise Tim whatever his name is for backing the UK ruining Brexit, and I assumed everyone in any Wetherspoons would be of his viewpoint so I've stayed away. However, I realise that was stupid, and actually I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Service was very fast. Drinks are ridiculously cheap. Two pints and a coke for the same price as a pint almost in Brighton. People who were eating looked happy enough with their food, again, cheap. And the best thing of all was that it was full of people enjoying themselves, where as most pubs are empty. I'll be going back. Easy to reserve a table, spaciously laid out, bar staff were stressed but polite, toilets were clean, place was clean. Nothing to complain about really.
