Great coffee and breakfast! Very friendly staff as well. Lovely place, very welcoming and quick service. Will definitely be back.

This is a lovely cafe on the corner . Went to this twice during our stay in Aberdeen . Staff are very friendly and tentative. Lots of options on menu . I went for the vegetarian breakfast which was divine and my partner went for the full breakfast. All cooked fresh and homemade . Will definitely go back on our return to Aberdeen

Found this little gem on the passing when looking for breakfast. Cafe itself is very modern and clean. Staff were very friendly and very welcoming. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was amazing. All freshly cooked to perfection- loved the vegetarian haggis which was home made . My partner had the full breakfast which he also thoroughly enjoyed . We both enjoyed it that much we went back the next day . Highly recommend this place

Do not waste your money. Staff are extremely rude. We went in and was told to take a seat, another large table walked in and got served before us. Waited over 20 mins for drinks so actually had to ask someone to give us service. Food took an hour to come out. My boyfriend ordered fish and chips £13 - it came out and honestly could or got it from farmfoods it was frozen fish with 5 chips on his plate. His son had chips and cheese which had hairs in it. My soup wasn’t great the vegetables were rock solid. Complained to staff and they showed no remorse just stared at us blank. Chips and cheese were also £5!!! Far too expensive for what the value of food is. Would not recommend and will certainly never return again!

Good place for breakfast - I've been here a few times and it's constantly good. Really central and accept cash too so great little place to have a coffee or bite to eat in the city centre.

Ordered breakfast and a drink. Egg very undercooked, everything else overcooked. Bread toasted on one side only. Not nice at all. Very overpriced. Staff pleasant but the guy seemed a bit shocked when I said about the food.

After the Aberdeen Nuart and Dark history walking tour, we needed a snack as had missed lunch and breakfast so the family (wife and two teenage daughters) popped to this cafe as it is opposite the Tourist Info centre. Service was exceptional. As soon as we came in, we were politely invited to take a seat and given a menu. We ordered and the food and drinks came in a relatively decent time. And the snacks (Chips and a Panini) were really nice. The only really problem was the price. £5 for a small bowl of chips and then the canned drinks were extortionate. Should have stuck with the hot drinks rather than the cold drinks. However, it is convenient and right in the middle of the tourist area, so it you want good expensive food with very good service then you will be happy.

This is one of the few cafés in Aberdeen which opens at 8 a.m. We got good porridge here but the scones and croissants were not fresh. They were warmed up so they were OK. We ordered orange juice but it was just out of a carton and there wasn't much juice in the glass as it had so much ice in it!

For some reason I had high hopes for this cafe. It looked cozy from the outside, in the busy Union street. A little bit of dissapointment. Inside, it was a bit dark, and some of the tables was still dirty and untidy. It could have been cleaned, with two workers just standing there talking. Anyway, they were nice, the breakfast was very tasty. I might come back, but this place has the potential to be better.

Coming in out of the rain, this place warms you up not only with good food and excellent service but with charm and warmth. The hot drinks warned us up, and the delicious soup fed our hearts. We enjoyed our chicken wrap also. We left ready to take on the rain.

Has this place changed hands? I can't think of any other reason why it has such great reviews and our lunch was so utterly awful. Tuna melt was inedible. The panini had been too long in the machine and it was hard on the bottom, but the tuno mayo mix was just horrible. No idea what they'd done, but it didn't taste of either tuna or mayo, but just.... tasted horrible. DH's bacon, brie and cranberrie toastie was also horrible. The bottom of the panini was black and burned. No one asked how it all was, even when we paid. Thank goodness because it truly was awful and where I normally just pathetically smile and say 'fine' even when it wasn't, I would have struggled to do that this time. I had two mouthfuls (the second to confirm that the first was really as bad as I had thought) and DH didn't eat much more. No one noticed that we didn't eat the food. Oh and the place was almost empty at lunchtime. We went to M&S for a sandwich instead!

Waited ages to be served. The food we had was ok, hot lettuce and tomato's inside a wrap is weird and wasn't that nice. Crisps that was served was clearly from a packet that was already open. Not a place I would return to

Wonderful breakfast! This was our first place to try a "full Scottish breakfast" and it was great. Everything was cooked just right, and I'm not sure I've ever had better mushrooms. Their black pudding is great. My favorite menu item was the porridge - perfectly warm and sweet. Combined with the gentle ambiance and friendly staff, this was a really great experience and a great way to start the day.

So today I popped in for a bit lunch, opted for the soup of the day, carrot and coriander!!! Wow was so delicious.came thick and hearty in a beautiful bowl.drizzled with olive oil and herbs on top. Best soup ever tasted!!!! Ice latte was fantastic!! Then I went to pay.to my clear embarrassment and horror my purse was in my other handbag. 🤦‍♀️ Fantastic staff, I explained. Leaving my belongings only taking my keys to run back home I live short distance sway to get the purse!! So thankyou to staff for being so understanding. A PLUS.for the service,and amazing lunch.will definitely recommended to friends and family and I will be back.

I called in for a quick coffee, as Nero's was full. What a mistake to make,. It would have been quicker if I waited in Nero's, I waited 25minutes for a coffee, when I asked where my coffee was a blank look on waitress, I spoke to 4 older couples adjacent to me they waited 35 minutes and warned me, that I should order in from another company because obviously 3 people serving with a half empty.cafe is not enough, the coffee itself is tepid and bland the sandwich that I waited a further 10 minutes for was dry and past it's sell by date,. My advice if you want food here take your packed lunch and flask because you will be waiting as long long time

Union Cafe & Bistro is a real gem in the centre of Aberdeen, that is well worth spending some time and money in. I popped in late morning, as I had some time to kill before a meeting, and decided to avoid the chain coffee shops, to try the Union Cafe & Bistro. An excellent cappuccino was purchased, better than any I've paid for elsewhere in Aberdeen. And the bacon roll I ordered was absolutely perfect. Fantastic friendly service, and a great vibe for a city centre bistro. Great for people watching down Union Street too!
