Best pizza in town. Sourdough yumminess, with high quality toppings. Anchovies were delicious. Reasonably priced.

Couldn’t fault it. Lovely polite staff. Service first class. Freshly made pizza very tasty. Dined at 4.30. It wasn’t too busy, comfortable. I will take granddaughter again for sure

Amazing pizza, and garlic bread!

Early dinner for four of us, great atmosphere and food was very good, good vegy options for one of our party and the service was spot on, we will definitely return when we are next in Leigh on Sea.

Sorry but the change in 2 months is huge pizza quality not as good only chilly oil not normal for kids and expresso no spoon of sugar and the 10 15 20 tip is spread across a screen at the bar not really comfortable to be honest

Cracking little place serving amazing fresh pizza. Service can be a little slow at busy times but we were given free drinks which was massively appreciated. Very polite and helpful staff.

to be fair we didn't eat here but popped in for a drink. Have to say the wine was very disappointing, and would put me off returning for a meal. all from a tap, one of each, red, white or rosé, and can't say they were good examples of either red or white, and pretty pricey for the quality. The service was slow, I know staff would probably prioritise diners, fair enough, but good first impressions might have tempted me to eat here another time.

I was reading some other reviews and I feel like we been to a different restaurant than some of the some other people who left negative reviews We visited Leigh on Sea for the first time and we had a great experience here The food was delicious, really nice pizza with right amount of toppings and clearly high quality ingredients Service was very fast and kind Definitely was a great choice for us Please keep up the great work So good to see places like yours still exist

Truly the most authentic pizzas! The staff are simply the best and help to create a wonderful experience for the diners. One of our party said the pizza he had was the best he’d ever eaten!

I've often wandered past and thought how I must try it one day... today happened to be the day... completely on the off-chance... all these years, i've been missing out on the best pizza i've ever tasted! The menu mentioned how they take particular care sourcing ingredients from Italy, I was absolutely wowed by my first bite and didn't want it to end... I had the Proscuitto Rocket with a side dip of chilli honey... bursting with flavour and juicy too, if you haven't been yet, go - you won't be sorry!!

This was the best pizza I have had so far in the uk. Thank you very much. However, my espresso was very sour for some reason but the rest was amazing. We will definitely come back to try other pizzas :)

My husband was planning a work social here, but due to the mixed reviews on another review site, he wanted to try it out. We had booked the meal as we weren't sure how busy it would get. We were greeted from afar as we entered, not sure where we should be sat, she eventually told us to sit wherever we wanted to --the place was empty at this time-- The food was lovely, but the service was terrible. We waited some time for our starters, which was just garlic bread with honey, chilli and something else - nothing taxing. It took 40 minutes for our Pizza to arrive! The server and I use the term loosely had no real interest in the customers. She had little interest in us other than grabbing our order, and then going to back to the bar and kitchen area for a chat. When the pizza finally arrived, she asked if we wanted chilli oil, I said no, and my husband said yes. She came back, banged on the table next to me and slid across the table. We only got asked if we wanted anything to drink at the clearing of the plates, oh, and she asked if the food was ok. No charisma, no real charm to entertain the clients, the epitome of not wanting to be there. We finished our meal and waited for some movement towards us by the server. There was still no movement, so I had to wave to get her attention and gestured for the bill. She slovenly walks towards me with bill in hand, hands it to me and says "when you're ready, you pay at the bar". That would have been a helpful introduction when we arrived, at least then everyone knew the rules! I went to pay, but she offered no smile, or interest other than to take our money. She had the cheek to ask me to pick a tip from the options on the screen and press continue. I took great delight in pressing no tip and continued and made the payment. Her face was a treat, how she thought she had earned a tip for that service is beyond me, and she wasn't even discreet - she stared at the screen as I selected the tip. Simply, don't bother wasting your time here, there's an Italian restaurant near Benfleet railway station that offers a much higher-end service, with a lighter bill at the end of the meal. They also know what customer service is all about!

Not overjoyed tonight. Paid £54 for 3 Pizzas and they were all burnt around the crust - not like in the pictures online but actually black all over! Toppings weren’t very generous at all, either. It was ok otherwise and if it had been £30, I probably wouldn’t have grumbled. But at £54 to eat a pizza at home, it should have been better.

I have lived in Leigh-on-Sea for most of my life (which is guite a considerable time!!) But this was my first visit to Ugo's since they have been serving pizzas. I can say without a shadow of doubt that this was the best pizza I have ever eaten. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. I will certainly be returning.

Had the best pizza I’ve ever eaten here today. Asked for well done and came out absolutely perfect. The vodka sauce was amazing too!

Not the best pizza I have ever had but it was nice and they were very generous with the added topping. What was annoying was we ordered starter of prawns with garlic bread, prawns turned up, which were not great, and before starter finished we were served with two main course pizzas and the garlic bread.

Having been to Naples, this is the closest pizza I can find to it. Have been here so many times. Pizza is always unreal & better than Pizza Pilgrims (who I’ve noticed are always highly rated). Service is always great & the atmosphere in the evenings is lovely. Consistently great food.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at your establishment. While the listed closing time is 10:00 PM, I arrived at 9:00 PM only to find that the restaurant was already closed. What was particularly upsetting was the behavior of the staff. Instead of addressing the situation directly and explaining the early closure, the staff member appeared to deliberately avoid my attention by hiding behind a wall to expedite their closing process. This behavior comes across as unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. A simple explanation would have been sufficient and much more appropriate. I hope you address this matter to ensure better communication and professionalism in the future.

We said to them we only one drink and we order a bottle of wine but the take time to have it but the service is really bad and one of the girl say you only got two mins that not what say to regards customers not going there again

Spent 2 weeks travelling across Tuscany this summer. Somehow this was still my fav pizza ever. Thank you Ugo. Amazing date night! Saucy negronis too. Can bearly type after 55,000 cocktails 🍸

First class food especially as in genuine pizza wood oven

Excellent pizza, great service... Overall really enjoyed the experience.

Pizza was really good but it did take ages to place our order... I think we must have been sat for at least 10-15 mins before we were offered drinks and another 10-15mins before we ordered food... in the end we had to call the waitress over to ask them to take our food order. So service could be improved but over the quality of the pizza was top notch!

Booked a table on the day for 6 people, soon realised i needed more seats so sent them a message through there messaging service and managed to get enough seats for 9 people, they got back to me within an hour or 2, pizza was lovely, very reasonably priced in our opinion

We have come here twice in the last month and have to say the food itself is banging. The pizzas are amazing and always perfectly fresh- the anchovy garlic bread is to die for. The thing that constantly lets them down is service. Both times we have come we have made it clear we want something as a starter (burrata and garlic bread on respective occasions) but it’s always come out with/after the pizzas… if you don’t do starters why don’t you say that and just say it will come together? Both occasions we went early evening (4-5pm) when there was max 5 tables- service was still slow. On the most recent occasion when we ordered our drinks we asked for a glass of ice, that never arrived, when our food arrived asked another member of staff the same thing and it didn’t arrive so went to the bar mid meal where both staff members were just standing and barely got an acknowledgment. They don’t check back on your food if it’s okay and when we had ‘finished’ (we left half as we wanted to take it home) just went to take the plates without actually asking if we were done or how it was. I’m a waitress myself locally so am very sympathetic as I understand when you are busy things can be forgotten but there was 3 floor staff for 5 tables and yet still service was dire. I hope the service improves because the food is good and that’s half the battle. We will probably stick to takeaway from here so I can get more of that garlic bread!

Great pizzas but the service was absolutely dreadful. We watched the kitchen fulfil a load Deliveroo/Uber/whatever orders before our pizzas were even made. We waited 45 minute for our pizzas.

My absolute favourite place for pizza. We always go here when I visit my dad in Leigh and it never disappoints. The pizzas are amazing! Base and toppings are perfect. I love having the chilli honey drizzled top. Other dishes are fab too; the meatballs and prawns are a must! I only wish they would open up a second Ugos in Brentwood as none of the pizzas on offer here are any where near the standard or deliciousness of Ugos.

Fabulous Melanzana Parmigiana and garlic bread. Also enjoyed the organic rose wine which comes in a carafe.
